If you are a ponytail girl like we are in our home, simply take thees few simple and easy steps to make your pony POP! This tutorial was inspired by past braids we have filmed here and by a tutorial from @annette_updo_artist on Instagram... be sure to follow her!
I particularly love this faux braid style when you pancake the braid's elbows for a full and puffy look! Using Hairitage's Texture Powder (available in the Walmart affiliate link above or in store) really makes it STAND OUT and helps the braid hold throughout the day. This braid is absolutely beautiful, and can be dressed up or down, or used for weddings or school, or for just hanging around the house. You can even create a middle part and make TWO of these low ponytails for an even more adorable look!

( upbeat music, ), Hi everyone, I'm Mindy from Cute Girls Hairstyles.. Today I have Kayla with me. Hi guys. Kayla is one of Ryland's friends and she's visiting and because she has such a lovely blonde locks, we were like ,'', hey Kayla. Can we steal your head of hair and film on it? ?'' And Kayla was like Sure.. So today we are gon na show you how to do The Flip Thread Ponytail, and it is so easy you guys are gon na die, but it looks amazing when you're finished., So I forgot in the video to mention that I used all Heritage Products but of Course you guys know I did., So we put in some dry shampoo we put in some hairspray and some texture powder in case you're wondering.. Let'S get on to the video, shall we ( page whooshes, )? Okay, to begin this, hairstyle we've already taken it pulled it back into a low ponytail and done a hair wrap around the elastic to hide it.. Now we're going to section off, maybe just over two-thirds of the hair. And we're going to take an elastic, go down about two-thirds of that length and just put the elastic around the hair like this.. Now you're gon na divide the hair in half. So make a hole, take the hair and flip it through once then flip it through twice.. I like to kind of like just go like this and move those little twists up a little bit so that they're, nice and even through the hair., Now you're going to take what you just created. This little loopy put your fingers through pull the big section through there take the hair and twist it to the right.. Take it back through, take the hair and twist it to the left and take the hair through one more time.. So now you kind of have this interlocked hair right, it's all interlock.! Now we want to make it fluffy and a lot more full and pretty., So we're just gon na go back up and we're gon na start kind of pancaking. The edges, as we feel like, is needed., So just go in here and pancake away until you feel like they're, nice and even and pretty. ( gentle music ). This is just kind of personal preference.. How big you wan na pancake? How full you want the hair to look all just depends on you. ( gentle music ). I think it looks great., So I just like it. ( gentle music ) Like that., So everything looks even and really fluffy soft., It's a Boho hairstyle. So it's supposed to be kind of soft and romantic looking. ( gentle music ). Then you take the ends: ( clears throat, ) and just elastic them. Together. ( gentle music ), So that you have one nice straight piece. Then, because I don't wan na see the elastic I'm going to take my topsy tail and thread it through and then just take some hair and wrap it around, and you can always do this With a bobby pin too., You don't have to have the topsy tail. ( gentle music ) Just pull it through and it pulls that end down with it to help hide the elastic. ( gentle music ). And then you can just tweak if you like it and you are good to go. (, page whooshing, ), Okay, guys, here's the final look. ( logo, pops ), Do the final spin., It's so pretty.! It turns out so cute and it's so easy.. Okay. So if it were me, what I love about this hairstyle is that you can dress it up or down.. So if you wan na dress it down you pair with a sweater and some jeans., You wan na dress it up, You can wear a cute little like dress for the summertime like a little summery dress.. Where would you wear it? Kayla, Like a holiday party or a wedding Yeah, I think it'd be great either one..
