Best Hairstyles for Summer Music Festivals Inspired by Coachella

It’s the most wonderful time of the year...festival season! With major music festival Coachella just wrapping two star-studded weekends, we couldn’t help but obsess over all the dreamy hair trends that took over our Instagram feeds.

From double braids, to space buns, to glittery hair, we dissected this year's music festival hair trends and compiled a list of looks that we'll be recreating all summer long. No need for Coachella #FOMO, read on for our top picks, plus tips and tricks to achieve these trendy hairstyles at home.

1. Braided and Stitched

Definitely a hairstyle at the top of our list was fashion blogger, Camila Coelho’s, braided and stitched threaded look, completed by celebrity LA hairstylist, Ruslan. He also created a similar look on Victoria Secret Model, Romee Strijd, furthering our obsession with this festival style. The best part is, this look is way easier to achieve than you might imagine. Create two dutch braids (other braids like a pipe braid or french fishtail would also work well) down either side of your head and tying each off into pigtails. Then, simply thread a thick cord through the braids in a criss-cross fashion to recreate the look - it's almost fool-proof. This hairstyle is super fun and creative for festival season and we are anticipating it to become a major hair trend for the rest of the festivals to come.

2. Double the Bubble

Beauty and lifestyle YouTuber, Sierra Furtado, made list of fave Coachella hairstyles list with her bubble pigtails. We love the playful and girly vibe this look creates. The best part about achieving this hairstyle is that it actually works better with second-day unwashed hair - perfect for festival season when you're relying on dry shampoo to carry you through the weekend. Although this look works for shorter hair, we love it for long-haired gals because you're able go all-out with the bubbles. If you're not blessed with long hair, this a perfect chance to use your Hair extensions to add extra volume and length which will really make this hairstyle come to life.
