Wow! 3 Easy Prom Hairstyles | Diy Hairstyles Compilation 2020

Today, I’ve compiled 3 of my all time favorite #PROM hairstyles that we’ve filmed previously on my channel! I love how these #hairstyles all look so effortlessly beautiful, and also so polished! Which of these 3 styles are you going to try? ✨

I absolutely LOVE prom season! I feel like prom season could also be called “hair season”! Everyone finds their perfect dress for prom, and then they have to decide how they want to style their hair to best compliment the dress! There are so many possibilities: hair up, hair down, half up, braids, twists; the list goes on and on!

I love these 3 styles because you can either #DIY the styles on yourself, or you can help someone help someone else create the look on their hair! These looks are also super customizable, you can make these styles look as sleek or as casual as you’d like. It all just depends on how you accessorize them, how fluffy you make the braids, etc! Don’t be afraid to play with it, and really make it your own!

( upbeat pop music, ) ( upbeat pop music, ), Hey everyone, I'm Mindy from Cute Girls, Hairstyles and today we're gon na do three of my favorite prom hairdos together in one video.. Now, if you guys haven't already been subscribed to our channel, be sure to click the button right here, so you can follow along ring the bell. So you don't miss any of our videos and let's go. So we're gon na start off by showing you guys Kamri's prom hair from last year, which was the infinity braid combo, which I think was one of my all-time favorite prom hairstyles. So let's go check it. Out. To begin this braid, I created a nice fluffy ponytail for Kamri, so that it looked a little bit fancier like we pulled and loosened the back., We secured it with an elastic and then we hair wrapped the elastic.. Now I'm gon na divide the hair into two sections: equal sections and I'm gon na begin, an infinity braid., But I'm gon na do it with really tiny sections.. So I'm just picking up one very small piece of hair on this: far right side crossing it over and then crossing it under and then I'm gon na pick up a very small piece of hair on this left side and I'm adding it to it.. Now I'm crossing it over again and then back under., And this is just creating kind of like a big figure. Eight like pattern over under or over under over under so on, so forth. So pick up, hair and because you're adding hair every single time, you're. Never going to run out of hair like your hair strands, are never gon na end. So that's why they call it an infinity braid. And then I am going to secure that whole thing. With an elastic. I'm using these dark elastics, you can use clear ones if you want, or even thicker elastics if the hair needs it.. I don't want this showing so now. I'M gon na hair wrap this elastic., So I'm just taking a piece of hair from the back to wrap it around a couple times take another elastic. This is a little trick and then you can see I'm holding this piece of hair underneath I'm gon na secure the elastic right at the bottom of that hair wrap and then you just tighten and it pulls the elastic up and under the hair and hides it. And we're gon na do a braid. I'M gon na have Kam hold that for a second. Gon na start this braid and do one stitch.. This is the only tricky part with only one person. If you have two, it's super simple., But I'm taking one strand of this braid and one strand of this braid and I'm gon na cross them, and that way it kind of like secures the braids together.. So I have to kind of reach over and take what I think is gon na, be roughly that third section.. This is just a regular, simple. Three strand braid., I'm gon na go down a little farther than I really need it, secure it with an elastic., ( upbeat pop music ), and then I take this section. Do the same? Thing. ( upbeat pop music ), so they sit less like this and more on top of each other, because we crossed those two pieces. ( upbeat pop music ). Now, naturally, I can see this one wants to sit on top, so I'm gon na go ahead and let that happen. I'm gon na secure both of them now with another elastic together.. Okay. Now, then, you can just go back and pancake the braid.. You can just do one braid if you really wanted to through here.. This just adds like an interesting element because kind of people look at it and go like ,'' Looks like two braids, but it looks like one braid ,'', not exactly sure how they did that'' And again using another elastic hide. The ends. Then divide all of it into two pieces again and using whatever's left of the hair, create another infinity braid. And you can see her hair is getting shorter at this point. So whether or not you add this element and how many you do will just depend on the length of the hair, you're working, with., ( upbeat pop music, ) and one last time, hair, wrap., ( upbeat pop music, ). Okay, you guys, I actually just looked at a picture of Kamri's prom hair and we left it at the bottom in the two different sections and just wrapped, both of them with hair. So you can totally do that too. If you want or finish it as one either way. And then extra little fun, finish would be to put in one of Brooklyn and Bailey's amazing hair clips at the top for just a little added fun pizazz. If you wanted to do that., Okay, guys, let's do the final spin for Kamri's prom look. And I went ahead and left the barrette in because I think it's so pretty. Just fun. It'S totally different. But it's still like sleek and pulled back which we wanted for her dress, especially ,'cause. It had like all the lacy detailing, so we wanted the hair out of the way of the dress. ( gentle guitar, music, ), (, gentle guitar, music, ), Okay, the second one is the lace braid half up, which is a great style. If you still want some of your hair down, but you don't necessarily want it in your face. [ Jordan, ] Start off by taking a section of hair from one side of the part and dividing it into three equal pieces. Take the top piece and cross it Over into the middle and then take the bottom piece and cross it over into the middle., Then repeat that again with the top piece. But this time we're going to add in a small new section of hair. So add in that section and cross it over into the middle., Then just take the bottom piece and cross it over into the middle without adding any new hair.. This will create a lace braid.. So then, just repeat those steps all the way back making sure to only add in hair to the top piece. ( upbeat rock music, ) ( upbeat rock music ). Once you reach the back of the head, stop adding in new hair and continue a regular braid for a few extra stitches, and then I decided to go back and pancake the braid. So I just went back and carefully pulled on the edges to give the braid a little more volume., ( upbeat rock music ), Once you've braided a little ways down take either a bobby pin or an elastic to temporarily secure the end of the braid., Then repeat, On the other side, making sure to only add in hair to the top side of your lace, braid, so that it matches the first braid. ( gentle guitar, music ). Once you finish, the second braid secure, both braids together at the back of the head with a baby elastic., And then I decided to hair wrap my elastic so to do that. Put your fingers back up through the elastic. Take a small piece of hair from the ponytail wrap it around the elastic a couple times and then pull the ends back down through the elastic.. To finish off this style, I'm doing doing a little half up, pull through braid, so take a section of hair from each side of the ponytail and then secure them together with a clear baby, elastic., And then I went back and carefully pulled on the edges of Those pieces to give them a little bit of extra volume. And then again I went back and hair wrapped the elastic, but this is optional. If you don't want to. And then repeat those steps, one more time to make a second little pull through. ( gentle rock music ) And that's it. The third style wasn't demonstrated on a beautiful dress and a glitzy gown. But I think that the detailing, in this hairstyle with this lace, braid, is so fun that it would dress up and add almost like an accessory to any great prom look.. What I've done is parted my hair in the center and I'm gon na go back. Maybe three inches on my part line and I'm going to pick up just a little tiny piece of hair. And that's gon na be the very beginnings of my braid and it's just really really tiny. This first piece. You're gon na split it into three sections and go ahead and begin. Your braid. Do one stitch and then what you're gon na do is come over to this side, that's closest to the part line and grab a little piece of hair and add it in to the left most piece, my left most piece and continue the braid.. So we're doing a lace, braid right, here., Basically we're just adding in hair only from this side closest to the part line. And I'm trying right now to keep the braid pretty close., I'm gon na run it really close along that part. Line. You'll see in just a minute as we get a little farther down.. This is really fun'cause. It'S a really different way to start a braid.. Most of the time you don't go starting. You know, kinda, like three inches back on your head and then forward. So it's really different and unique., But it makes it look really fun when you're all done.. When I get to the front, I'm just gon na start picking up little pieces of hair along the front of my face as well. Always on that. Only that one side of the braid still and I like to leave a couple inches above my ear right around my temple. Just because I like the softness that it leaves on your face.. So I'm gon na finish off the braid. When I get to that point and just do a regular braid, I'm gon na stop adding in hair just finish it off with a regular braid., ( gentle guitar, music ) And I'm gon na secure that out of the way. Secure with an elastic. And then I'm just gon na pin it out of the way. ( gentle music, ), (, gentle music, ) And just to hold it in place. Pin it right there., Then I'm gon na go back and do the same thing on this side of my head. (. Gentle guitar music, ), ( gentle guitar, music ). Now, when you get this second braid done, what you do is unclip that first one then just take them around to the back of your head and using that same elastic, just go ahead and secure them.. Now, to finish it all off, I'm just gon na add a tiny little bit of hair spray to refresh my curls.. This is, you know my day, two or day three hair, so my curls are a little bit softer than day one.. There we go. And let's do the final spin., ( upbeat, guitar, music, ), (, upbeat, guitar, music, ), Hope you guys loved all these prom hairstyles. I know that some of these are my totally my favorites and I'm super excited that Kamri has prom next month, so I'm gon na have to dig some of these up and figure out which ones I wan na use again. All right be sure to click this Button, if you haven't already don't forget, to ring the bell so that you follow us along and we'll see you guys next week. Bye, guys., (, upbeat rock music, )
