All right you guys it is officially my birthday weekend. My birthday was march 21st. I kick off every season, as i should period for my actual birthday, i decided to keep it chill there's so much that has been going on. I feel, like my life, has been on double x speed. So for my birthday, i just wanted to do what i want. I washed my hair. I know you're, like girl, you washed your hair. You put yourself to torture baby. That was the the best care. I could have given myself there's just something about being clean from head to toe, like i don't know about y'all, but like an itchy dirty, headed scalp, i just feel duty. Okay. So when my hair is clean, i just feel like a brand new person. I just i just feel cleansed from from the inside scalp and out. It is time to level up baby. We got some leveling up to do. Unfortunately, we can talk about the elephant in my room, that is my skin. She is not allowing me to be great. I have been suffering with just this ridiculous amount. You can see because there's dark marks from the battle scars um that has been happening. This is actually its best. This is not the worst case scenario um. I know i just washed my face so right now. My skin is a little bit more uh sensitive, but this is actually best case scenario and my friend suggested this three product system that i'm actually going to give a try. I probably shouldn't try it um one. I have a special weekend, but you know we live in life on the edge. She says that, like her, skin literally will clear up within the next day. I don't know about all that because i'm also dealing with hormonal acne, i'm just finishing my cycle, so i have like natural factors coming to play, but we'll see what she does if i try it today and wake up tomorrow, but first order of business this hell. I have officially popped into my favorite place in the world beauty land um this place is ginormous um. I did originally order hair from amazon and that's normally what i do so i don't even have to go to the beauty supply store, because you can also get a lot of deals but beauty land when in doubt and when the hair color don't come out. I be at beautyland, so i'm going to go ahead and see because even though i say i want locks watch me come out here with some marley twist and a whole different style idea, because you'll see you guys, i'm so shook. I just got out of walmart and oh baby, i'm so sorry um. I know my face is probably so aggravated because of that mask, but i still don't trust people like that. I decided to pop over to walmart because i wanted to see if i could find like a last-minute outfit for this weekend or just some last-minute pieces to add y'all. I was so damn shook. Walmart had me stuck. I was dead ass about to go to target too. I was about to turn around and go to target and i walked in there and i said what, in the bootleg fashion, nova is going on. Oh my god, you guys these are so cute for me. Oh, my god um, i literally was looking for palonzo pants or like straight like pants, and i found them we have body suits, they had a little two-piece sets um all that stuff was inside there, and i said, is this: the wally, the wally wally walmart. Now, let me be very clear, though walmart is definitely one of the few places that i feel like as a curvier girl that i can go in the store and actually find something decent to wear and put on. I cannot say the same, but everywhere target is also really good about their sizes going up. I was really sad because one pair of jeans did not fit my big all behind and it was the highest size they have and i fit that size is actually too big for me in the other jeans that i have from walmart. So i'm like literally the last size at walmart, and i don't even think i'm that big. So i can only imagine what it's like um, i'm not trying to go over to that tara sky section where i'm like fully enclosed, as if i'm in a hospital gown. But yeah some of the pieces were cute y'all like i did a little mini, try on haul and i wasn't even trying to okay. Now some of them were trying it. Some of them were trying it like. There was a vision and somewhere between the vision and the end result was some miscommunication, but that's, okay. You know it's walmart, i'm not really expecting creme de la creme, you know, but at least there was a vision and someone tried to execute it, and that's really all i can say about that. But yeah tomorrow i leave at 5 30. So i think today is going to be my latest day, but i think we have everything we need so to the home. All right, you guys, so it is the day that i'm supposed to leave and i am supposed to be on the road at approximately four. Let'S say three hours and i have my hair to do my lashes to do. I don't know if you hear this weird sound in the background, but that's the laundry um and i still got ta finish packing. So this is one of those times where i'm going to also test my fellow youtubers when they say this only takes x amount of time. Now i'm trying to do this style by my good sis, joy and she said this style took her literally like an hour, and that was with filming. I know myself i got longer hair than she does so i actually went through the liberty of already pre-sectioning my entire head, okay in these twists, so i could also low-key see how this might lay on me as well and see if this is the style. I'M going for, but yeah um, i made sure to make my parts pretty much relatively neat in the front and then baby we just get crazy, get wild um. I got no idea what this is looking like back here, but it's not the main attraction. I also went ahead and moisturized my hair with some, as i am black, castor oil smoothie. I'M going to look at her video one last time, so i could see how she put it in because i might have to use a different method just because of my length, um and also because i might want it oh see, look i got ta go um, But also because i might want it a little different so we'll see so i'm gon na shut up, because i you ring the alarm i am running behind i'll, be damned. If i get left for my birthday weekend turn up time. We got ta hurry up, i'm taking about three pieces of hair and i'm just running my fingers through each piece just to make sure that it's kind of you know separated a little bit and i'm taking a section of my hair splitting it in half. And then i'm just putting the braiding hair in between and then i'm going to secure that with a rubber band. That is literally it all you do after that is twist the hair down. I'M going to show you again, so don't worry, i know y'all be mad when we say that's literally it and you sit in there like is it? Is it literally it five minutes later trying to do the literally it i get it? I understand, but we gon na put it to the test today. Baby, i'm gon na, go ahead and add a little sweet almond oil. My scalp is itching um. I wash it on monday, it's not thursday. Yes, i know i'm basically adding oil to high the fact or calm my scalp down when in reality she just needs to be watched. But you know what the good thing about you know. Education is like. You can now have the power to take what you want with that information and do what you will and i'm not washing my hair um right now. So i will acknowledge that this is probably pointless, but we're gon na do it anyway. All right, y'all boys, your girl, switched over to voiceover. Y'All, know what that means. It'S concentration sensation time. I went ahead and found this kind of like marley kinky twist hair by expressions i'll link, the exact like type name color and everything down below, and i felt like it literally embodied what my color should look like if it wasn't a little bit faded, um and At least looked relatively natural, so in the back row i did the method that joy did on her channel and then with this twist i did my own method and i just felt like it looked a little bit more on the natural side. So i'll show you guys how i put my twist in um. I'M not gon na sit here and say that this one was probably like beginner friendly, but it really wasn't hard. I took two pieces and a half for the front section. These pieces were actually relatively thick and especially if you went and actually like fluffed it out, you realize the hair got thicker. I did go in with the tiniest amount of shine and jam. I barely used that much. I wasn't going for it to be super slick. The look i was going for was like these twists are coming out of my scalp kind of vibes. So i didn't want it to be like super shiny and laid down at the roots, and so once i've gone ahead and kind of had it in a way where it wouldn't be too. Like frizzy, i split the hair in half and then i place the piece right in between those two sections and i just start rolling the hair in one direction now to avoid it. Looking like really defined marley twist, i kind of rolled until i felt like i was close enough to the root of my hair, but it wasn't super super tight and you all know that feeling if you've ever done marley twist rope twist anything of that nature, you'll You'Ll feel the twist pulling your hair from the scalp and you can see like. I still had a bit of room. It wasn't super tight and, as i was twisting, even though i was trying to secure it at the base, i actually still left it relatively fluffy. So i probably made like the first twist a little bit more secure, but once i twist it down, i gently wrap or twisted the hair and then did a two strand twist. So you'll see my hand movement, it's like i'm slightly rolling, but i'm not rolling too hard just a little bit so that the hair is a bit more uniform and you can actually see that it's a twist, especially since i didn't really comb out this hair as Much so you can really see the texture, and then i also went in with a little extra of the jamaican black castor oil smoothie, just because marley, hair or kinky twist cuban twist, whatever you want to call it um, it's kind of similar to our hair, texture And could be on the drying side, and you know your girl's. Hair is colored, so i just decided to go in and add a little extra moisture in case my hair wants to feed off something there's something for it to feed off of, and once i was done, it was super loose. It did not feel like. I had any tension at all, but, as you can see, it's still a little bit more firm and i feel like it looks like it's actually coming out of my scalp instead of just abruptly um like a twist. If you will, on this side, i am going to do joy's version uh. I found that that version helped me a lot when i was working on sections where it was harder for me hand placement-wise. So a lot of the sections in the back and in the middle also like i said, the back in the middle ain't, the main attraction. So i ain't worried about how it really looks like that and most of it was gon na be covered. But you can see how it looks just because my roots are pretty grown out, um, that you can just see it's like dark at the root and then bam. We have this kind of like t4 t1b mixed with the 30 color coming in. So it's not like it's completely just you know black or brown at the root. So for me personally it doesn't look super super natural, but it gets the job done and that's all i need so i am done with my hair. I started at 145 and i'm also filming - and i also um was doing like other stuff, but i just finished and it's 3 15, so um 145, an hour 2 45. So literally like an hour and um 15 minutes to put in these twists. I think the color looks absolutely amazing on me. Um i feel like nothing is on my hair at all. It is very, very, very relaxed um. Let me see because i might have twisted this. I might have like twisted things a little too loosely and i don't want it to unravel while i'm out and about trying to see. I don't even know if i'd want to style this different ways, but i think it looks cute um. I am running late because i'm over here taking my sweet behind time chatting to you guys - and i literally leave at 4 30 and i still have to do my lashes, so yeah, but this is cute. I think it's super cute. I was a little worried because i could feel the hair brushing against my chin, and i felt like it literally just was like let's break out um, but i'm gon na go ahead and wash my face and moisturize and all that jazz so that i can go Ahead and put my lashes on and do these lash extensions y'all i've gotten so good at doing these lash extensions and i'm gon na try out some new ones. So i went ahead and did one lash because, like i, i leave in 30 minutes. But i went ahead and did one lash, so i can actually see the kind of vibe i'm going for because originally i was going to use these wispy ones, which i feel like you guys, like really can't see but they're like wispy and then usually normally when I'Ve been doing this for the first time i've been using the lengthening ones, which literally look like my actual lashes and i'll, maybe just like post some videos or pictures of like me having them in um when i've been wearing these, but i've absolutely been loving. This especially for travel um, it's made like getting ready and just even just like going out and doing stuff just super easy, um and comfortable, and it just gives me a little extra vap of women, especially since, like i feel like i've been really hyper insecure because My skin is not skinning, so i don't know the last just let me feel a little extra something something i do the overnight method, so i literally keep these on they're supposed to last for up to 10 days, um with the overnight method. You can also just use them one time, but like i'm, not trying to do my lashes, like that, so i've done this with areas where i have not gone to water, um and areas where i have gone to like stuff. That'S like water related and i also kind of test to see what happens if, like i wash my face a certain way, a different way. So now i feel, like i have a pretty good gist of this. I'M not saying i'm an expat to what i'll call, but you know i'm saying i got the degree there's a couple things that come in the kit: there's the overnighter and then you have the bond and the sealer and then there's a remover and then it also Comes with these little clampy thingies, so what i do is i i work in sections first before when i first did this. I started in the middle and then worked out, but now i kind of know what i'm going for so i'll just be doing whatever. But first i like to one i'm just gon na brush out my lashes, because you kind of need your lashes um for this to work and you want them to kind of be wispy and like put together and then i'm gon na go ahead and take the Bond and it's black, so it's a bond glue and i'm gon na put it right underneath a little goes a long way, so i'm just gon na focus it on the end. Since i do this overnight, i just do a little extra and then the way that i've done this to get this super natural is that the kit comes with three different sizes, and i know you guys, i'm like. Let me be a good youtuber: there you go, so you can see small, medium and large. I mostly end up using a lot of mediums, a few smalls and a couple of larges at the bottom. So for my end, i'm gon na go ahead and take a large uh and i try not to blink while i have this on here, because then it gets my bottom lashes, i'm going to add an extra coat, because i need to move so. I'M gon na stop talking, so i can actually show you guys how to properly do this to apply the lashes i like to make sure i stretch my eye upward. This allows me to really get underneath my eyes so that once it bounces back, it looks like your lashes are literally just coming from your lash line and then my technique when it comes to application, is i go from long to short? Usually, for me, the combo is one long piece, two medium pieces and um, one short piece and a half, and that completes my full set. I can honestly get away with doing one long, two mediums and one short and then leaving the inner corner as my natural lash, but that is like more. If i want it to be super natural, you basically apply the bond glue and i recommend doing it section by section so that the glue doesn't dry and you want to try and apply it. Like asap rocky. The thing that i would say that takes a little bit of practice is actually putting the lashes on and making sure they're not too far away from the lash line, and also trying to make sure that you have the lashes, your lashes and not over. Applying too much bond glue to where your lashes start clumping, because you kind of need your lashes to be fluffy and free in order to have them attached to your lashes, but for the most part. For me, i feel like this has been pretty easy. It usually takes me about 10 minutes for each eye. I'M sure it could go faster, but concentration, picking up the lashes customizing it. So i would say 20 minutes total for some diy lash extensions, which i feel like it's not that bad. This is. This is what i've been rocking with. This has been my go-to, i feel like it just automatically makes me look ready to go and it's effortless, because i'm going to be going out this week. I also have stacked these by the way. I'Ve also stacked these and put lashes on top of these um on on the above part, to like give it more drama. But i don't i don't recommend. I recommend that it's like you're, literally trying to get rid of those lashes and you're not trying to use these again. But for me this is a nice natural set, i'm actually going to try and stack it with the wispies just at the ends for a little bit more of a fuller look and for a little drama because, like i said i plan on having these lashes, be My lashes lashes, so i don't want to add anything to it, so it might look a little less natural, but we will be like face, beat ready period all right. I had to stack it off camera because the lashes were playing with me, but i love what the wispies do. I was adding it at the end, but i realized i just needed two um wispies one medium and one small. To give me just a little bit more volume - and i also switched over to tweezers because baby like i i get this. This is somewhat helpful, but i feel like the tweezers honestly just allow you to get real, nitty gritty um so that you can actually see so yeah. I don't know if you guys can see the difference. I can so i'm gon na go ahead and show you guys how i stacked it um, since i already made all my mistakes now: okay, i'm specifically going for the pieces that show up a little bit more on the fluffier side versus length. So i might use this one apologize in advance. If y'all hear noises i am starving, it is five o'clock um and i've only eaten breakfast trying to get everything ready ciao. Why did i wait towards the last minute? The world will never know and i still go ahead and apply the blonde, not the blonde. The blonde glue the bond glue on top of the lashes we put on yes and i'm gon na take the medium lashes. Hopefully, this will just be real, easy, quick and simple: lift, lift, lift and place her right there. There we go bingo bingo, i'm just gon na add one more and i'm making sure i add, like a good amount of bond glue. Since we are stacking, i know they say a little goes a long way but baby i'm not trying to have gaps. Okay, i'm trying to have this last so i'll, be sticking on my stomach and just place the right right, shoulder ooh. She slanted she's, definitely slanted! Oh uchillay, oh no, i feel like there's a gap. No boo, okay, i'm gon na. Let it dry first before i go in and try to clamp it, but once i'm usually done with each lash i like to go in and just clamp, um and you'll feel. Oh, i took off my extra lash - oh my god. No, oh my gosh, oh no, oh no! The table! I think we'll be good. I'M going to do the same thing to this side. I'M going to be gentle though, and just clap. Everyone, together kind of want to bring this gap together, oh whatever it is, what it is, there's going to be like a slight little gap, but it's not that noticeable and i still feel, like the lashes, are relatively natural. So once you add all your bond, everything then you're supposed to go in with your sealer um. For me, i feel like the sealer is low-key oil um, but i don't know so i'll just be applying a little bit of sealer and then, if you want to overnight it um you let this seal and then you go in with the overnighter and you literally Just place the overly over lighter, i can't speak today. Malnourishment got me discombobulated um, but you put the overnighter on and you only apply it right towards the close to the band of the lashes, not on the whole lash to, i guess, lock them in chat. Oh no i'll be making these things, but i do it anyway because they say so so, and i'm trying to have my lashes last overnight for three days at least and it kind of looks like liquid eyeliner. So i just go in i'm gon na lift and just apply it right here on close to the lash band right. We are ready to rumble. It is literally time my ride should be coming any minute from now, but here we are hair took an hour 15. The lashes took 30 all by ourselves got ta love, it got ta, love it um. I went in and just filled in my brows just a little bit. You know just a tad bit, but this is usually how i would go um, especially if you know like i'm going somewhere where it's i'm gon na be on the beach or whatever. Like you know, you just look a little bit more camera ready without really even having to try um like at all you just wake up like this. I was told my only instructions for my birthday weekend was that i should throw my donkey's ass in a prayer circle, so that is going to be the theme for this weekend. What that would entail, i honestly don't know.
