Hi guys my name is ashley, and today i'm going to be showing you some of my favorite y2k, slash like 90s inspired hairstyles, i'm so excited. I have like a whole bunch of accessories over here that we're going to be using. I don't obviously have a hairstyle in my hair yet, but we're gon na get right into that. Okay, so the first hairstyle that i'm gon na show you guys is basically just like the puff pigtail braids. I wear these all the time just because it's like so easy to do. I just have these like really small hair bands. They'Re from i want to say, like scoochie, i don't know i got them from like target. So obviously all you have to do is just split your hair in half, like you would for any regular pigtails. Let me tilt this a little bit, let's put in a couple normal pigtails first and then all you have to do is just keep ow shoot that really hurts. All you have to do is just keep tying your hair, the longer your hair, the more like little bubbles you can do so i can usually do three and the key is to use these tiny little hair bands and to also tie your hair like pretty tight. Honestly and then once it's all set just start pulling out the bubbles as such, and there you go. It literally takes like one minute, and i like to do this if my hair's like frizzing out, and it helps like keep it under control as well. The next hairstyle is actually going to be even more simple than this, which is pretty crazy. It'S gon na be actually extremely easy wow. So next i'm going to take these little clips they're from the same brand. Scoochie just got them at target as well, and basically all that i'm going to do is just take the hair from behind my bangs. So still leaving this in front of my face and just butterfly clip it back, okay and then that's literally it. I think it gives like your hair, a tiny bit more volume, and one thing that you could do to make this look a little bit more cute is to just stick on a headband. I love these headbands. I got these at walmart they're like the hard headbands, and you could also obviously do the same thing with the clips, but just put in like little ponytails and like they'll kind of stick out a bit more. Take that same amount of hair and i'm actually using like a thicker black headband just to give myself a little bit more volume and as you can see, it does stick out quite a bit more okay. There we go, but now i'm actually gon na show you something even more fun to do with your hair. Once it's in these little ponytails we're just gon na, do the bubble hairstyle again, but on these tiny little strands and it's gon na be epic. I did about one two, three, four five and i would say i have like medium length hair right now. Oh god, don't worry about how that looks? Okay, so now we're gon na do the same exact thing as before: don't worry if they start getting weird like that, basically, if it starts to get like uneven literally just like pull straight on it like this, i love it. I think it looks so just like it's like more exciting make it into a heart, because i love you guys now another easy hairstyle just because it's fun get yourself one of these clampy clips. They have tons of them on etsy depop things like that. So basically, what i do is i leave my bangs out of it or just leave like a couple strands of your hair out of it, and all you have to do is just get it in like a little ponytail twist. It like this, like as if you were gon na, do like a bun twist. It up hold it against your head and then clip it in, and you have like a little mini ponytail kind of thing, but it kind of looks like really like 90s, like businesswoman kind of or like 90s. I don't know everyone in the 90s were wearing this right or like the early 2000s at like the kids, teen choice awards, and it's just like so easy of a way to like get your hair up without actually sort of like damaging it, because you can kind Of damage, your hair, if you're like putting your hair up too often with the ponytail, by the way guys, let me show you something. Actually, if i do put up my hair, i always use like one of these type of bands in order to try not to damage my hair as much as possible. Just because, if you're like using these all the time, it will actually like bend your hair and like kind of start to break it or like scrunchies, are even pretty good, also by the way guys. So many of you have been asking me ashley. Where did you get your necklace from, but i actually designed this necklace myself and i love it so much it's so beautiful. It has like three little a's on there and it's half pearl half chain made of stainless steel and i actually have on like the little matching bracelet as well. It'S also half pearl and i'm so excited guys. I'M sure that you might have seen it maybe on. Like my instagram or i've talked about it on twitch before, but i'm so excited that this is gon na, be releasing on honey, lotko's website i've been waiting forever to mention it on youtube, and now i finally can so it's just super exciting and yeah. Okay, anyways on to the next hairstyle. So i've actually done this before with like a different scarf and like it was just really hard. But i got these little like mesh scarves from room shop. Vintage nice sustainable just epic, and it comes already in like a triangle shape, so they are like really easy to put on and like it's not like super thick on your head because, as you guys can see, it's like one really like light layer. So i just tied it on the bottom, and then all you have to do is just go like this and then flip it. If you have like a greasy hair day or your hair on the top of your head is going kind of crazy. This just looks perfect and i love how like light. It is because, like it stays on really well, it doesn't slip off my hair, it's kind of like i'm gon na go milk, the cows, vibes, okay and then, of course, guys. I include this in every like hairstyle video that i do. I just can't leave it out like i have to include space buttons, because space buns are just so fun and epic, so they're pretty easy. You can just well actually there's multiple ways: let's try a couple different ways. So there's this way, pull it through, never mind. Okay, i was gon na like try to be like oh yeah. This is another way nope. I don't think that's gon na work. Let'S just do regular space ones, then get it like this twist up your hair as much as possible, try to get it really tight and then twisting it into a little bun, and then you can use whatever ponytail and then usually. I do like to put these um on with bobby pins, or else like it sticks up really awkward like that. Let me just get these like in my hair first and then i will pin them down. Oh my god i'll be right back okay! I just pinned them down. I took literally one bobby pin in each just like shoved it through the bottom. While i was like pressing it down, so i'm just gon na pull out my buns a little bit. These are like little mini buns, but i've also seen people do like huge buns on the top of their head. Now, i'm gon na show you guys one of my favorite braids to do this one. I'M just gon na keep really easy, but we're gon na make it a little bit different. So just start by doing a regular pigtail braid, okay, as you guys, can tell the pigtails - are like a little bit too tight they're, just like not like the most flattering. So, let's just really pull out the braids and then also i'm actually going to kind of pull out like a few strands of hair as well. Oh god and you can just leave it looking like this or you could even pull your hair back with a headband. Sometimes kind of fun to just like fully have your bangs out of your face, just tuck everything behind your ears and then just go for this type of look now. I just want to show you guys how, like i generally do my hair um just to make it look like how it's looking right now, so i actually used to do like heatless curls a lot, but ever since i got my hair done, i've actually been more Like kind of keeping my hair a bit more straight, so i take this. She has hair all over her, but it's fine from tescom. I will link it down below because it's kind of like hard to find you actually need to like use a screwdriver and like change the wattage. So that's actually strong enough, but once you have then it's fine and i basically just like go down my hair like this and then at the bottom. Curl it up just straight and then curl it up and that's all i do. I do it when my hair is about like 90 dry, so it's still like a tiny bit damp. I also use a heat protectant spray with this, and then i finish it off with olaplex number six. This is one of the best things i've ever put on. My hair, it's their bond smoother, and it just feels so good. It makes your hair feel so much better. Um i've colored my hair quite a few times, so my hair does need a little extra like moisturization to keep it feeling healthy and hydrated, and that has helped so much and then i also like to use. This is my function of beauty, my hair oil. It smells really good and if you can get like any type of hair oil like moroccan oil, something like that. I just put all of that through my hair and it keeps it looking like this. I'M actually, okay, i'm trying this for the first time, but i feel like this is gon na be cute, i'm taking a bunch of the little jaw clips and i'm just sort of like pulling my hair back with them so that they look like this. Once again. I feel like this was kind of like the red carpet look hair when i was a little child okay. So here i just straight up put one two, three four and then two in the back, like that this looks pretty good. Okay, there might be a better way to do this, but for like a makeshift 90s hairstyle, i actually really like this. Okay guys, i think that that's all for today, thank you so much for watching. I hope that you got some like epic hair inspo. If you try out any of the hairstyles, definitely let me know i would love to see them.
