Hey everyone aaron here in this video i'll, show you how to draw five different hairstyles for your anime girls. Let'S jump right in so the first step to drawing convincing hairstyles is to keep in mind where the character's skull is. The hair will sit on top of the skull, so you need to keep that in mind as you sketch it in i'd like to just draw the skull first without any hair as a guideline once we've got that, i think the best thing to do is to Start by blocking in the basic shape of her hair and then slowly build up more detail. So you can see. I started with this rounded square shape all the way around her head and then cut into it just below her eyebrows, to show where the bangs will go at that point, it's time to start breaking the shape up into more natural. Looking clumps of hair try to vary the shapes and sizes of the clumps so that it doesn't look too robotic. I find it looks nice to have bigger clumps towards the center of her head and thinner ones. Further out, you could leave it here if you want some anime, don't add any more detail than this and it looks nice, but you can also break the hair up even more. I especially like to add the really thin strands of hair to the edges, so the hair doesn't look too neat. Now you can keep adding more and more detail like this until you're happy, but it's about knowing when to stop with this. If you add too many details, then it might start to look really messy, so you need to keep an eye on that as you go, i'm quite happy to leave this one here now that we've managed to draw this relatively short hairstyle, you can use the same Basic method to draw all kinds of different hairstyles start by blocking in the overall shape of the hair and then slowly cut into those shapes breaking them into different clumps of hair, make sure sure to vary the shapes and sizes of the clumps. And then add a few very fine details, but not too many so that it doesn't look messy and there you have it. Let'S take a look at some different hairstyles. You can turn short hair into long hair pretty easily. It follows all of the same basic rules. We went over earlier and you can use all the same shapes, but instead of stopping the hair at around her chin, you just extend the lines down behind the shoulders. The hair that covers her ears also needs to be extended to complete the look okay for this. Next one: let's keep the bangs and the hair just to the sides of her face, but tie the rest of it up into some pigtails again. You can start with a basic shape for each side and then breaking into a few smaller clumps. This time, i'm going to tie the hair up into a large bunch at the back, starting at the top of her head. I just add this sort of long rectangle that passes down off to the right hand side all the way down past the shoulders. Then i just add a few extra clumps and strands to break it up and for this last one, instead of a long ponytail, i'm going to go for some little buns on each side, just start by adding two circles a bit like mickey mouse's one on each Side they can be as high or as low as you like. Really. I thought this was a pretty good location for them, then simply add a few flicks and strands in different directions: try to have some of the flicks or strands connect back up with the circle, and some of them just poke out to the sides, and that's it For this one, five different hairstyles for your anime girls, if there are any other specific tutorials, you guys want to see. Let me know, because i want to make stuff that is actually helpful for you all and the best way to do. That is just to ask what you really want.
