L.: When you are young, with a smooth complexion, you can get away with just-got-out-of bed choppy look. When your face is older, the last thing you need is bedhead and a face to match. A more polished and refined look is needed especially if you are still in the workforce. If you aren't still working, I guess who cares?

Dawn Loves Couture: All of these styles looked identical to me. I haven’t seen that wedge shaped hair since Kate Plus 8 went off the air, and even she stopped wearing that horrible look! A medium layered bob looks good on almost everyone. Someone should make a video showing haircuts for women under 40, as many seem to have waist length hair that just hangs like Marcia Brady or has some I brushed barrel curls on the ends.
