Unfortunately, it’s hard to feel young when you have to deal with wrinkles, a slower metabolism, and various other health problems. Luckily, there’s an easy way to feel youthful and vibrant with a cool, new haircut. No matter your age or the number of grays, the right haircut can completely transform your face. Rocking a great hairstyle can also have you feeling like the strong, sexy, and powerful woman you are. So, we spoke to a couple of hairstylists and got their opinions on the most gorgeous haircuts for older women.

Regardless of your age, a gorgeous vibrant haircut is your right as a strong sexy woman. And don't think you have to kiss your long locks goodbye or give in to those grays. Bangs are always in style and can complement any face, shape — but make sure your stylist understands your face, shape, first. Stone, says ,'' [, Bangs ] can make you look really young and sexy or make your nose or forehead look twice the size. It's important to Make sure you trust your hairstylist before going for it.'' Stylist Ruth Roche often suggests her mature clients go for bangs that are long and wispy saying ,'' Have them trimmed, often, rather than cutting them shorter, so they last longer. I have many mature clients that wear everything from cool pixies to razored bobs., A mature client with a strong inner confidence can rock any cool and modern look.'' “I got tired of my long hair., Simple, ” Layer up, Judy McGuinness, senior stylist at Mizu New York salon Likes a light, layered look explaining ,'' In general, softer haircuts, look good on older women. Keep it dimensional with subtle. Highlights., Solid colors, especially dark, can lack dimension and vitality and tend not to complement skin tone.'' Stone agrees on staying away from the dark, colors saying. `` Softer colors, like golden blondes and gorgeous reds, are great.. The biggest mistake is going too dark. !'' “My, hair’s, blue., It’s blue.. I have blue hair.”, No matter what color you choose, going a shade or two lighter instantly nails. A younger look., Celebrity colorist, Kelly Cardenas, recommends framing your face with highlights to brighten your skin tone.. He says: ,'' Tonal change is also important — you want to stay within 2-3 shades of your target overall color, as a higher contrast, creates the opposite effect.. Lastly, the highlights need to be blended in almost an ombre effect opposed to large chunky. Pieces.'' Sexy is timeless When choosing the right haircut focus on your type of hair — cuz. tessamersus: When I go to the hairdresser, I give him the freedom to do whatever cut and style he wants to try out on me. I've had some real doozies of haircuts over the years, but they always were eye-catching and easy and quick to style. One hairdresser wanted to take me to his State Boards Certification process in another city!. Alas, I couldn't go, but I got rave reviews from all my coworkers and friends - and even strangers wanted to know where to go to get my hair cut. I doubled his client list because he deserved it! Once in awhile, when you get your hair cut, give the guy/gal the gift of letting them do whatever they want. If you don't like it, slick it back or cover it for a week or two...let go and have some fun! ! LOL It's fun to let go once in while.

Glitter 47: I didn't see much for curls. Bummer! As I get older, I actually embrace my curls more than ever. Face framing layers for sure, but I am allowing the length to grow. I refuse to look dowdy, so short hair is not for me. it's gorgeous on many ladies but not on me. Color is super important and to keep up with it. I prefer dark because of my medium, although Scandinavian, skin tone. I box color right now because we are on a tight budget, but as soon as we can afford it, i'm going in for professional color.
