All right, what is up youtube? My name is gabriel and i'm back again with another curly hair video. So last time i had pretty short hair um. The sides were buzzed uh, all the way short and the top was not quite as long as this so i've. Since grown my hair out pretty long and because of that, a lot of people have been asking what my current routine is is any different, et cetera, so i'm just gon na go over my whole routine again, so this is gon na, be how to style medium To long length, curly, hair and different uh tips and stuff, that's gon na help you out, so i just woke up. This is my um typical kind of bed head just a messy like got strands of hair just coming out everywhere. You know all this kind of thing lots lots of frizz. I have a lot of frizz and uh. That'S a big thing with um how i style my hair is getting rid of the frizz. So it's not like this uh yeah we're wearing it. We'Re getting rid of all this stuff. This is your first time like watching my curly hair video, just keep in mind like curly hair is really really tough um for the longest time. I wanted straight hair because it was so difficult and then eventually in, like around middle school early high school, i just had a buzz cut all the time because it was so annoying. But i finally tried to grow it out and kind of figured out how to do it. I found some products that work um. So hopefully you guys learned something from this. Let'S get right into it. Um curly hair is pretty annoying because you can't style it like dry. You can't just take a brush and brush through it. You pretty much got ta wet it at least a little bit but uh. When i do it, i fully soak it every morning. So i take a shower every morning and i completely soak my hair and that's necessary because the air dry is what's so important. It gets rid of the frizz and stuff. You know you can't get rid of the frizz if it's dry, so for the haircut itself. I went to this lawn and for dudes if you're growing, your hair out like to this length, stop going to the barber start going to the salon. There'S a big difference so find someone who knows how to cut curly hair, maybe someone who has curly hair. So basically i went to the salon - and i just told the lady, because my hair, that i want to grow it out, so i wanted to cut it in a way that'll grow out nicely and considering the fact that i haven't cut my hair other than myself Here and there in a whole year and it looks decent, she did a pretty good job at sectioning it. I recommend talking to your hair stylist. They know what they're doing you know so find someone that you vibe with and yeah. That'S that's my advice for haircuts, because i don't ask for a specific haircut really, i kind of just like ask what needs to be done. You know i kind of tell her like my idea of what i want to do is if i want to grow it or whatnot. If i want this or that and just kind of let them do it from there. Curly hair does not have to be even everywhere, because hair will curl differently and it'll curl it. It might curl differently every time you wake up and so basically sometimes like. If a hair, it feels too long to get my eyes and stuff i'll, just snip it off with scissors hair on top, it's like sticking up all the time and i'll just cut it. You know i do that a lot that might not be the best thing, but that's just what i do so all right. So with the uh, with the haircut out of the way, i'm going to show you guys the products that i use so with the haircut out of the way i got ta go into the products and i use the same brand products i have for the past. Four or five years um, i exclusively use these because it's just it's so good. It honestly changed my life with my hair and everything. So i can't recommend tally wedgie products enough. The most important thing that i use is the curl sealer um. This is the after shower product, so when my hair is wet, i apply this. I'M going to show you guys in a second um, but basically this is the most important thing. So, if you're only going to get one product, i would get this, but i have found that the shampoo and conditioner really do make a difference. Um, if i use just any regular like ac, shampoo or something it will dry my hair out and make it a lot harder to style nicely, it won't curl as nicely it's just not going to look as good. So i really recommend you get um the whole set of all these um that i use, because it makes a big difference, but if you're only gon na get one get this, this is the most the most important thing with the shampoo and conditioner i've been using. The um clean and curly hydrating shampoo and the enhancing herbal co-wash conditioner, so you can co-wash this or you can just use a regular conditioner. I use a shampoo as well, so i don't co-wash but yeah everyone's hair is different. You can experiment. These are what i use um, i'm gon na have amazon links in the description for all of these. You might be able to find them at your local grocery store or hair salon, or something but um amazon's the most accessible for people um. You can also order directly from the website, i'm pretty sure, so the products are important, but the comb, in my opinion, is just as important. This thing is my baby um. I treasure this comb, so if you are using brushes, you got to stop using brushes um. All that does is freeze your hair out. You got to get a thick like wide tooth. Comb like this. I'M gon na have an example, one in the description, but you can really use any one. Basically, this is just gon na help style your hair without frizzing. It it's also gon na help, stop your hair from knotting and dreading and that kind of stuff on its own, which mine does like crazy. So, every time i shower, i tuck my head under the shower head, and i just comb through it over and over everywhere to get rid of all of the knots um. I think it's pretty important. My hair is a lot different without it it'll start. Knotting helps section my curls off a little bit um yeah, and then i also use it afterwards for styling with the shampoo and conditioner um. You need to stop shampooing your hair every day. Your hair does not need to be shampooed every day. What that does is that strips the natural oils out of your hair and those are good for your hair. It'S not greasy, it's not gross, but i personally only shampoo about once a week. Don'T worry about sleeping with the product in your hair and stuff, because it's like really natural, it's not gon na make your skin break out or anything. It'S so with that out of the way i'm gon na hop in the shower, wet my hair and then i'll come back and show you guys the styling process, so we're back, wet hair. I haven't really dried. It um i'll use the towel a little bit just to make it so it's not dripping and i like to shake it out as well. The less you rub it with a towel, the uh, the less frizzy. It'S going to be okay. So now, basically, you just take the telly legit curl sealer, and how much of it you use depends on how much is already in your hair like day one after shampooing, um, you're, probably gon na want to use a little bit more than like day. Two and three and four you can use less each day. Basically, that's i found that works pretty well um, but i do use it pretty much every day. Sometimes i won't yeah it depends. I have a lot of hair right now, so i'm gon na get a nice chunk of it. Okay, so got it all in rinse my hands off um. Now, i'm just gon na take the comb and just run through it everywhere again. I already did it in the shower, but i liked it again after i put product in now on to the styling. Basically how you finish styling. It is not maybe the final product, because how it dries is what comes into play a lot, so we're basically going to be setting it in a way that's going to dry nicely, and this takes like a lot of trial and error, and i've tried a bunch Of different things, basically the way like the direction you comb, it is going to change the style and uh the longer your hair gets the more. This is true, so um what i've been doing recently, since my hair is kind of long in the front, is a full middle part. It i don't know if that's perfect or not. I don't remember this in the mirror right. There yeah, i basically full middle part. It like all the way to the back and everything, and then i kind of with my fingers. I just like tease the top a little bit push on my eyes and then so. If this was how i wanted to do it, i would basically leave it like this, and the goal is just to touch it as little as possible. The more you touch your hair, the more it's gon na frizz out um. If it's windy outside, if you put a hat on those kind of things, it's gon na mess, it up and a lot of people have said before like then, what do you do if you live in a really cold area and uh? It gets pretty cold here. In tokyo - and i just suffer - i just go out with cold hair and i suffer so you got ta. Do it for the look right. So there are a bunch of different ways you can comb it. I really recommend that you experiment with it um, especially because everyone has different hair and you learn different things um. What i used to do before is i just comb all my hair up and then shake it and let it fall and, however, it falls is how i rock it, because when you comb it up, it's gon na at the root it's gon na be going straight Up and it'll it'll actually change the way. It looks a lot um, but you basically just wanna, find out different ways. You comb it and then let it dry. If you comb it straight down and then let it dry, it's going to look a hell of a lot different than when you comb it up and let it dry so so i think testing around these things and finding out what you like is what's most important. So yeah, that's the that's the shampoo, that's the product, combing and drying process. I know it sucks. You can't wear hats uh. If i put a hat on, i commit to the hat for the rest of the day because it completely messes my hair up. So i'm gon na let my hair naturally dry and then i will show the finished product i'll, add some more photos and stuff as well. But basically i wanted to talk about some things that people were asking in the last video so on losing hair you're not losing hair. A lot of people say that the products make them lose their hair or whatever, but you're not losing hair. It'S everyone's hair falls out. The thing is when your hair is curly, the hair follicle falls out, but the hair like it stays on your head and then, when you go to take a shower and you comb through it all that hair, that's fallen out over the past day is now coming Out just then so, instead of falling off periodically throughout the day, it sits there and then, when you comb through it all comes out. So unless you have bald spots or your hair is like noticeably thinning um - and i don't mean like it's a different texture now that you're using a different product, i mean like your hair - is like thin, like you can see through it differently, like you, probably have Nothing to worry about um, but yeah. So for some reason in the last video, a lot of people were commenting that i have a perm and i'm a fake curly hair gang. Whatever i don't know, they were like getting all mad and stuff and uh. I i guess i can show you some baby pictures or something or i can show you this um. Do you think i perm my armpit hair as well? Is that, like i don't know what to tell you man like and uh? Finally, some people were commenting about um how it's good to dry your hair with a cotton t-shirt instead of like a regular bath towel. I actually never tried that i just use a bath towel because i really don't dry, my hair, that much i kind of just kind of pat it. So it's not dripping and then i shake it out a little bit and then i'll just let it uh, let it air dry. So i don't know because whatever you do just don't dry it with a blow dryer um. I heard that diffuser attachments can help, but uh, i think natural. I think air drying is probably just the best, and also people commented about sleeping with a satin pillowcase. It just helps the texture of your hair. I can't speak on that because i haven't tried it as well, but uh you're welcome to experiment, as i recommend you to do, but yeah uh i'll be in the comments as always, so any questions anything that uh was unclear or anything just let me know and I'Ll try to answer it as best i can. Alright peace, hey

Silent Night: Bro you're like the only guy who does these videos who has "real" curly hair. All the others have "straighten-able" wavy hair. Thank you.

X R: The hat thing, man i felt that. If you have curly hair and you wear a hat, or tie it up, you have to commit for the rest of the day

NoContextMemes: Being Male with curly hair is hard, especially after having straight hair for 12 years [I'm 14], I decided to grow my hair out and surprisingly got my curly hair back (3b type). Every video about curly hair is mostly for females or 4- hair types. Thanks man, you're really helping me out here

somenerd: I’m almost at a year of growing my curly hair and man, it’s been a journey.

Antonio Ciancia: About using a blow dryer with a diffuser: yes! It works wonders for me as long as you keep it 20 cms away from your head. You MIGHT get a little bit of frizz but it’s very minimal and honestly I can’t bear going outside with wet hair everyday, I just get headaches and stuff.

K T: Thank you my guy! I've kept my hair short bc I wanted it straight since elementary school. Because of the pandemic, I haven't gotten a cut since March 2020 and needed a primer video on curly hair. This video was EXTREMELY helpful and funny. I'm about to buy all that stuff through your links! Thanks again!!

Eliezer Morse: dude, thank you for this video! You legit have the exact same hair as me. I'm growing mine out after having had it short for 7 years and I realized I never knew how to take care of my curly hair. A couple of questions: doesn't wetting your hair every day dry out your scalp? do you find your scalp dries out easily? I may need to try a hydrating shampoo because I apparently have a lot of dandruff :/ . My other question was if you think it's fine that I wrap my hair in a towel for probably only a minute or so after showering. Do you think even that could contribute to the frizziness? Thanks so much!

NotNoticed: Great video! Quick question though, how long does it take for your hair to fully dry? My hair is about half your length and it takes 4ish hours to fully dry. ✌️

Willem Schotte: Hey bro, this video helped me so much! i have the exacts same hair as you but with the sides cut short. This video did wonders for me, i always had weird frizzy hair since i was a child and when i watched this video and tried this my curls be popping. I hope you have a good day bro

Frances Lopez: Thank you so much!! We have very similar curls and Im happy to see youre also learning and dealing with your natural hair cuz i also used to just straighten it so i didnt have to deal with it but this year I just wanted to cut all the damaged hair and start fresh and now Im stuck at an awkward lenght and im getting teased being told i got grandma hair now :3 whatever that means..

normandy ww2: Bro, I’ve been wanting to grow my curly hair. But every single thing you said about the hair problems I’ve had the same lol. I’ve had a military cut since high school. Thanks for the video!

rui: you inspire me to grow out my hair last year during quarantine man! too bad I had to cut it short again to nearly bald because it got damage when we went for a swim. can't wait to grow it out again and this time, I'm including my sides.

Melina Gonzales: Thank you for this. Legit you have the same curl pattern as me and my partner! <3

Hobbes: Haven’t gotten a haircut for all of quarantine so I definitely needed this

le_trtl: hey gabriel, ive noticed that you have been commenting on more comments lately and I just wanted you to know that this video in particular has been a huge inspiration for me to start growing out my hair these last 7 months, growing out my hair has allowed me to open my eyes on how I was treating my mind and body, making me work for a better me in every passing day. I would just like to say, thank you!

Bryce Clancy: bro youre never allowed to cut your hair short again lol. it looks so good. i have like the same hair as you. so excited for when it gets this long

Hemanth Kalidindi: Hey man i love the video! I watched your last one and it was the first time I really learned how to take care of my curly hair properly so thank you for that fr fr. Also, I have a Shea Moisture curly cream instead of the curl sealer that you recommended. I was wondering if that is an ok alternative or if i should consider investing in the curl sealer. Thanks!

vespaman75: I use a heat protection spray that’s meant for flat ironing your hair when I blow dry then I use a shine spray oil for the frizz and define the curl again that usually works for my hair

Dani De Miguel: Im in that moment of the process when some days u love your hair and the next day you hate it. Im like 7 months of growht and its harder than i expected. Thanks for the vid and info!!

Jayden Merritt: So glad I found you bro we have really similar hair so I will definitely be taking your advice

Finn Firebrace: Its my first time seeing content for my hair, Im really glad i got into your acct this helps a lot. Giving it a like, imma see more vids of you

Yousef Dardeir: How long did it take to grow your hair from short to long(sides specifically)

Rj Ballos: 1:39 thanks for the advice dude, we have the same hair length so I'll try going to salons next time. I realized that barbers doesn't really do their job when cutting my hair, they're always messing it up smh.

Daniel: Thanks man I needed this curly hair is challenging this seems pretty straight forward

Farouk Deghmiche: Hi man, i have a question I let my hair growing for 10 month now, at first i wanted to let it grow for 1 year but that's ugly with my face even though my hair is beautiful. Do you advice me to let it grow 2 month more or do you think it won't grow that much and it's better to cut it now as I don't like my current hairstyle and face ? Thanks !

Kenn: I basically had the same hair cut in your first curly hair video when I started letting it grow out.I should have gotten my hair cut in a way that let's it grow out good like you said you did, now I'm stuck with longer hair on top and shorter hair on sides and back, and it looks a little weird. Idk if I should get the top trimmed to even it out a little more though

Gabriel Saladbar: So you think you should get haircuts as you grow it out? I started growing my hair out last March and haven’t gotten it cut once and was planning on going to a salon when I reached the desired length. But now I’m wondering if I should’ve been getting cuts the last year. I have the same hair as you too

Ithihas Xxxf: My man looked like jesus when he started middle parting his hair

Khaled: You have exactly the same hair as mine so your video will help me a lot thank you so much, also do you wash your hair everyday with water only? Or with conditioner?

lReaperl: ur the first dude on youtube that has the same hair type as me. i’ve been trying to find someone who has some advice on how i can contain my hair as i grow it out. thanks man!

burnt potato: what are your thoughts on covering up a receding hairline with someone who has curly hair. like would your routine work

Ame -: I needed this so bad thanks man

Lord Ligan: You're so gorgeous, I'm inspired to grow my hair longer

Randey Randell: Your hair is just like mine, thanks for the info.

Anshul 12321: Damn , I literally have the same texture and my hair's at about the same length, thanks for the help fam

Mario G: my hair is just like yours, problem is i have is that i go straight to frizz, and after sporting a buzz cut my whole life, it's a crazy commitment, problem is it dries super dry, i guess what i need is for a hair stylist to shape it so it grows right, i don't know, and have no clue what product to use and when, going from zero maintenance to actually having to do something, i do like it, just hard getting used to the work, gonna give these products a look

TJ Radway: awesome hairstyle, man, I like it!

AliK7: FINALLY SOMEONE WHO HAS HAIR CLOSE TO MINE THANK YOU!!

alen_css2: Ngl taliah defo got mad sales from your other tutorial, I’ve been using the sealer and conditioner since. My room smells like an Aloe Vera farm. Edit: Drop the Spotify

radasmada: also, do u use the conditoner (not the curl sealer) everyday?

TheCelle: Hey man, great Video got that recommended below my own routine video. Kee going man I'll leave you a like and a sub! :) Greets Celle

Gsgsgshs: I finally find someone with the same type of hair as me

Anzew1490: Long curly hair past the nipple length looks epic thats my favorite look for curly hair and at that length it's less maintenance. Although, I really like the look you're rocking in the video. You look like Jim Morrison. Keep growing it bro. By the way check out " The Long Hairs" it's a channel dedicated to men growing their hair out. They even have products like " Hair ties for guys" they have really cool designs. Check them out.

omár: do you usually just get a low fade and let the sides grow as well ?

AntoN: We have the same kind of hair, except mine is an undercut. im glad to see how my hair would look if i grew it out. Thank you

Eduardo Leyva: man finding out you cut random curls is so hilarious buzz cuts always get so awkward for me because the curls grow out randomly. I’ll just snip away

ricky Sanchez: Been waiting for this

P4P HIGHLIGHTS: Is your hair 3B? It’s so DOPE!! I’m growing mine out, I’m on month 4 still have a long way to go

Fernando Sosa: Do you put the conditioner every day? And how much shampoo and condiitoner do you use per shower?

Fatih D: Is there a reason you dont use a curl cream? I gotta test the gel tho, my gel creates huge curls which looks a bit off

MERS: How long was your hair at the top?? My last haircut was in October and I’m now growing out my hair but the top is definitely longer then how long yours was when you started growing yours out

in3xt: I’ve always wanted to ask you about hair volume , because ur hair volume is so high , is there a method to get a similar volume or it’s genetic ?

Angus O'Byrne: You have sick hair mate , I’ve got super super curly hair and I’m growing mine out from a big disconnected undercut with like a 9 inch curly fringe when wet , how long did yours take to grow that long ?

YAO: How do you keep your hair in place on a windy day? I got the same type/amount of hair but once I go outside it looks like I got electrocuted hair.

Willem Schotte: Hey bro i have a problem, everytime i put the product in my hair gets hard and clumpy, it doesn’t dry. I use shea moisture and it just keeps that wet look.

xxx: Bro ty for the tutorial, one thing tho my hair has curls like urs but at the back is straight, how do i fix that? Also tips on growing it when ur sides are noticably shorter than the top? Like should i cut it all to one length now, or grow it out and then trim it all till is even?

Tubagus Thariq Gilbraltar: My hair is dry and tangled, can i use this routine without balding my hair and re growing my hair?

Man1: My hair is just like yours. If I want it curled then I just let it air dry and if I want it strythen I blow dry. I use clean rinse before blow drying so that it looks healthy and shiny.

ROBIN PETER: the most honest video ive ever seen

Kevin Greene: A word of advice: research fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.

orphicfury: I don’t have thick curly hair but can I still do my hair like yours?

MHeronite: How long have you been growing your hair out?

Khan Salic: Did you cut the top before growing out the sides?

Manuel Lopez: How long is your hair on the top and the sides?

Joel: Should i condition daily I already have curly hair but I’m just curious if I’m doing it wrong

WoRsT EdiTinG: Hey brother!! I'm also on my hair growth journey and my hair texture and curls are almost same as yours but as my hair's growing it looking a bit thinner and specially when it's wet.... Can you do a suggestion please!!

Jougandre: How many times do you condition a week?

Sound: should I cut the sides or just let it grow out?

Yimrn: Do you condition you’re hair everyday ?

M01 Uq1: Bro , you are damaging your hair when you soak it every single day . The hair has to supply the natural oil otherwise there is big chance to lose some of your hair in addition to your hair might be thinner than the usual !.
