Now switch to the number 5 attachment using a clip from your Conair kit, separate the top of the hair from the sides continue trimming the hair using the upward scooping motion around both sides of the head now using the scissor from your Conair kit, comb, the hair In the mid head area into sections and hold between your fingers trimming the ends continue using this technique throughout the mid head area, moving to the front of the hair comb, the bangs and hold the hair between your fingers and trim away just the ends of the Hair with the scissors now comb, the top of the hair into sections holding the hair between fingers to trim to trim around the ear area, remove any attachments and use the side edge of the Clipper touching the Clipper to the hairline. To finish, the pixie look use a Conair curling iron around the mid and top of the head separate the sections with a comb. Your pixie cut is now complete.

mlr48: GREAT Video for 'do it yourselfers' - With this video as a guide - I used my clippers and new scissors (Wahl professional clippers and Professional scissors purchased as Sally's - I am not a prof., by the way) and cut my own pixie - using a mirror. First time in years that my hubby complimented my hair! Sure is easy to style, too. I use root lifter before drying and styling putty for a bit of separation - so easy. Thanks for the video!

Kathy Taylor: i don't understand the negative comments here. the girl is gorgeous and BOTH hairstyles look great on her. furthermore, although the hairdresser was white, she obviously knew what she was doing.
Becca Knaul: you're right. i'm a white hair stylist. black hair scares me. in cos school i'd make a black student help me because i was scared i was going to screw up their hair. i never grew up playing with it so it was very foreign as i'm sure it is to most stylists.

mlr48: I am Caucasian - I don't need to relax hair - wish it had a bit more cur/body. I came back to look at this video again - I am going to re-cut my hair again - using this video as a guide. I thought this girl's hair looked sweet after the cut. She would be beautiful - even if she were bald. But, I have had a lot of compliments since I cut my hair this way - even from my husband and he NEVER notices.... and, I agree - spiky might be a more modern look - I spike mine on top

SuperTeamwork1: HAIR STYLIST DON'T WANT TO KNOW ABOUT BLACK HAIR. THEY ARE SEEMINGLY LAYZY WHEN IT COMES TO BLACK HAIR. BLACK HAIR TAKES ALOT MORE WORK THAN THEY ARE WILLING TO DO. ALTHOUGH I THINK THIS STYLE WOULD BE NICE HAD THE STYLIST BEEN MORE HARD WORKING.
