I had a classic blunt bob that was growing out so I cut layers into it myself at home DIY and transformed it into a nice layered short bob - really high at the back so lots of volume plus movement all over. I went even shorter than before with this one it's almost a pixie haircut! Difficulty level not high, just you do need a bit of courage and commitment plus it's tiring on the arms! I hope you enjoy watching this Haircut Tutorial as much as I enjoyed making it!

Don't really see many DIY hairstylists at home cutting such a short layered bob style so i hope this video helps you! Now that i've done it it's so short a bob its almost a Pixie cut, when i tuck my hair behind my ears! Love it!

It might look to you as if i've been eating magic beans or something, but this is honestly how much my hair has grown. Since i did my diy short bob haircut two months, ago., hey guys welcome back to my channel., So the plan is I wan na. Do a cut today to add some layers and texture., I'm gon na shorten the length at the back a bit. It'S really grown out really quickly. There. I've been enjoying this blunt cut, classic bob hairstyle for the last two months, but summer is officially here and i'm thinking you know, i want to switch up to something a little bit lighter more fun, a different color perhaps.. For today, you will need a good comb, preferably one with a sharp point, because you will need to separate parts of the hair on your head., A good pair of haircutting scissors. They didn't cost very much like six bucks, but i'm really getting my mileage out of these. A spray bottle of water. Some hair ties as usual couple of my trusty hair clips.. Also. I have a good mirror setup where i'm in front of my bathroom mirror and i've got a full length mirror in front of me, so i can see what's happening behind and in front because you know after all, this is a diy haircut. Today is gon na, Be experimental Wish me luck so now i'm going to be releasing these two ends, trying to cut them into a length. That'S slightly angled forward., this time round. I want to separate out the middle section of my hair, which is surrounding the middle third of the skull, and that's where i'm going to cut some layers in. so right. So i've now done the middle section.. I'Ve cut my layers in -it's feeling a lot lighter already And now just to complete the whole layer cutting process, i'm going to go in flat across and do some point-cutting. all right. So now that it's done it's time to cut layers into the top convex of my head., It's a fine line between having a nice haircut and completely like mucking. It up. I'm halfway there now and you can see. I'Ve got a still very conservative sweet outline here, and this seems much more edgy, so immediately you can see, like my volume is just poof. I really like it yeah. I think, there's a lot of ways i can play with this length and it's lighter. It'S got movement and i'm not even finished cleaning up. Yet This is what it looks like just having. Naturally, air dried from the spray water. In case you're wondering how to clean up the mess in your bathroom after you're done. Cutting your hair. The best way is actually to gather the hair, while the hair is dry into a plastic bag, and then, after that, you know the tiny little bits that scattered everywhere it just goes easy with a vacuum cleaner.. I think how you determine how much you cut is actually by the angle at which you pull the hair out away from the head. So if you keep it at a lower angle, you will have longer layers if you pull it up at a higher angle like this, like 45 degrees to the head, and you cut along that line, you will have really short layers like what i have right. I actually went to cosmetology school, and although I completed all of the required hours, my life trajectory changed and never officially got certified to actually continue the career, but I've still always cut all of my family's hair to utilize my skill. I've done many bobs over the years, particularly on my daughter, and even with hours of training and instruction to guide me, I've often found it somewhat difficult to get an even, perfectly graduated stack on ANOTHER person. The only tricky part is the layers in the back which I had to ask for help with. Hard to cut looking through two mirrors, it gets confusing

No matter how much I pay or how good they claim to be they seem quite lazy these days. My hair is fine, flyaway and I have lots of it! It needs texture.
