Short Pixie Hairstyle For Women Over 60 - Soft And Easy Pixie

Hey i have linda with me and the fun story about this. One is pauline um you've seen her haircut, which we did the asymmetrical and she's the gorgeous white-haired gray. It'S so gorgeous anyway, um pauline's friend this is linda and you guys would never guess their ages. They are older than they definitely look sorry to bring that up, but you guys are anyway pauline's here with us too, and hi pauline hi hi. She was in the background that was the cue um anyway. I am so happy that she's brought a couple of her friends down and so um linda is one of them, so we are going to cut her hair. I'M really excited about this one too, just because um she wants a soft pixie, so we're going to cut it. You know, have it piecy, but we're going to style it and have it soft looking so the back. Obviously, i'm going to just bring this off. So just straight across here and then i will clean up her neck with the little trimmers and that's the best part. I think i swear i with my hair cut when they clean up my neck. I'M like yes, i love it. I love it. So yes, pauline and linda live in provo, and so they have driven down - and i am so grateful and it's just it's fun to get to to know everyone. I am just. I am seriously like amazed of the friends that i have now from my um youtube. So, okay, so we are going to bring it up or you know i was meaning this up about an inch and a half uh. She just wants it short and easy uh. She says she has a little round brush that she uses to style and she just kind of puts that under right and just like, boosts it up and gives it some volume. So that's just enough for a small brush point cut and then we will from this area we will kind of angle in a little bit and i'm not quite touching her scalp, i'm just pulling it out a tiny bit from that. Okay and then up here same thing, you can just see the length underneath you can see. There'S the guide point, that's how you know how much to take off okay, we're holding this out and then remember. You start to angle about this, this area, okay and then just comb that down just point cut into this also and follow this down, and i'm excited next time. Linda comes we're going to color her hair, so that'll be fun. She just wanted me to look at it for now and then we'll make her another appointment for next time. Okay angle in here, like i said, i'm not touching um her scalp. So it's not that short, so i'm just coming out from the scalp a little bit and if you can tell, i don't know if you can tell in the video, but she has a little bit of some curl. How long did it take you, ladies to get here not too long about 50 minutes to sell 50. and as i get older, i get more curl see that is so nuts. Yes, in fact, she said you guys when she gets older, she gets more curl and it's so funny how our hair changes um same thing. With my with my sister-in-law, i remember she'd come the one time to get her hair cut and colored, and i was like because she used to have really curly hair, and so it had been straight for a while. You know well, all of a sudden. It started to be curly again and i'm like. Are you pregnant and she's, like? Oh goodness, no like two weeks later, she ends up telling us that they were pregnant, but anyway it was funny. I could tell with her hair that it had changed and it's hormonal yeah yeah, your hair, women's hair is going to change like they say four to five times over the lifetime of your hair and it's because of hormones specifically darn hormones. They are seriously so much fun you guys, so i just hold her here ear down with my comb. Oh my gosh. I love that. Let'S make it clear, i'm not pregnant! Oh my gosh, that's adorable too cute! Okay, see you can see that guy point there. Just point cut into that: that's so funny, but it is it's crazy and then i've had other people. You know find out later. You know just different things, whether it be you know, medical or whatever, it's just crazy. How your hair, i mean what we eat goes through our hair. What you know it's just! It'S crazy! Okay, i'm just gon na squirt this down a little bit! Sorry! I should have warned you spraying you without letting you know just like when you watch these shows where people have been poisoned and they can tell them through your hair. It'S actually mind-blowing when you think about it. When they, you know you can, you can take care and like trace back for how long and what it is and what yeah it all goes through your hair. You know it's funny, people with surgeries or whatever they like if they know they're having a major surgery. They'Ll come, you know, start using my product, so it'll strengthen the hair strands to stay in because they know usually with surgery. You know about three months after is when you start losing pretty good amount of hair. Of course it's different for everyone, but it's true every like surgery. Anything like that stress, oh wait. What stress? Who has that just kidding? It'S nothing to laugh about, but i'm just saying it is like that for a lot and it changes our hair for sure. Okay, i'm just coming up this way just to double check everything just make sure. There'S nothing like out of place, it's so fun so um. Obviously, this is linda's first time down um last time pauline come down, so this will be her third time down and it's just so fun. I love it okay, so now that that's done and i've done behind the ears we're gon na move to the top - and she linda had told me that um you know you can see that this is long and she just wants it easy. You know pixie easy. So we're just gon na come across here. Take some of this length and i love it. I can see the sun out today was that nice drive you guys coming i down that love. It love it okay, so i've cut forward this way. Now i'm going to come in and cut the sides, how you you like it up over your ear, or do you like it over a little over a little over a little okay, perfect? Okay, i'm just pulling this out about a 90 degree angle! Okay, you can see that guide point from that top, so you just bring it up this way, so that's probably fun to style soft with a little bit of this wave. You know what i mean. It probably gives it some volume and - and he just just kind of probably does its own thing - does it sometimes yeah, which sometimes is great and then sometimes it drives people nuts when it does its own thing? Okay, so pulling this down and then we're giving her a little bit of length and remember you know, especially where she has curl it's going to shrink. So you don't want to go too short, and if you watch me cut before you'll know that you know i always say: hey, you can go take more off after you blow dry it so better to kind of leave it a little bit longer. If you can and then you come back okay, so i'm pulling this out and you can see that top layer. So i'm going to take this up to that layer. Same thing here. Doing: okay, linda, okay, perfect same thing: it's about right! There i'm just going to bring this down okay now. What we'll do is come to her bang area. Now, your bang area, of course, i'm going to check these out first, you want to make sure that they're they're even um. She just want. Don'T you just want this kind of pc? Okay, obviously it's pixie, so it's pc, i'm going in on an angle. It'S almost kind of like you just slice little pieces out of there. Sorry you got someone here knows i should've warned you your eyes are shut and they touch your nose. So you kind of see how that lightens that area and where she said that was heavy that was kind of driving her nuts um. So another thing that i like to do is come from that bang, the bottom of the the side of the bang and come up just to that top layer. Okay, so then i i just come this way, see that there's a little corner there and that way she won't have as much bulk through that area, and you want to make sure you have the the length up here. So you don't take it like super short. So make sure that that length is up here so you're taking you know the right length off yeah these cute. Ladies, i could go on a little trip with him and would feel like. We was friends forever. Okay, now texture through all of this. This is what's really going to help the hair stand um now, obviously, if their hair is way thin, you can't take a ton, but you do want to take some and you can see i'm not right down by the scalp, i'm up about an inch half of An inch, and especially on the side um that you go to if they have a bulky spot, make sure you get enough out of that area and, like i said after you dry it, if you need to take more, you can the reshape root lifter. Just coming up through this top area, i just spray that in and then i rub it in and then the moxi magnifying mousse i shake, and i just do. Oh did i have my one. Oh there we go one squirt of the mousse rub it in you see how concentrated that is. You don't need more than that. It will feel different and a little bit too sticky if you use too much so it's awesome. A little bit goes a long way, and i even like to you know, put the mousse in the sides: okay, now with the thickening spray, tiny bit of that, just through the top area. This okay, in fact, let me grab my little brush. Is this too little? Is that about right? Okay, see this little one, all right, so the back we're just gon na dry down and then the sides. Of course, i'm just coming straight in this way, then a little bit this way just so i can get some body for this area and not to wear it all the way dry, because she, okay, this is going to give it the volume, [ Applause, ] and Then, when i get to this this area, you guys can see, i mean it's not fully dry, there's still a little bit of damp, it's a little bit damp. So when it's that i just put it on low - and i just take this little round brush you doing good, linda okay, you can see i'm just and this you just dry down and then, where it's long enough, you just come up and you start round brushing This way this will help it lift and then it'll give it a tiny bit of curl on the ends, i like to turn it on low and you have more control over the hair on the brush. This is the relaxing part right getting it dry. Okay. Now, where she likes it, soft i'm just going to take a couple drops of oil and rub it in this way. It won't be like pc, because she it almost makes isn't that nice. Do you like it. That'S cute pauline in the back. I love it. I do i love it pauline that you just talking. I know in her video i was telling you guys, i'm like hey pauline is so funny. Oh my heck she's hilarious, but yeah. That'S her in the background i wish you'd keep just tell them. That'S so pretty sorry! I had to say it: okay, how? How is that? That'S great looking to you is that about right is that i mean just soft enough, but yet short enough. Okay, easy easy see! You just try it like that, and this is the soft hair spray um. It will hold it's soft if you want a little bit more of a hold there's another hairspray um for a little bit more hold, but this is the one that holds, but it's extra soft, so cute, okay, i'm gon na turn her around.
