In this edition of "Total Request Hair" I perform a haircut inspired by an "Emo, Skater, Scene or Punk" look. Reminded me of an Avril Lavigne look with a twist. This was a request by a sub, and I think it came out great!

Stiva de Salonga here and welcome to Total Request hair where you guys request certain hairstyles or haircuts, and I do them for you. So today's special request is a emo or seen haircut on a female I've done one on male before and now I'm going to show you guys how to get that really cool edgy. Look, whether you want to call it emo or seen or skater Punk whatever it is. It'S gon na be really really cool haircut. So here we go alright guys you can see the mannequin here is dry. I'M going to do this whole haircut on a dry head, and I'm gon na have a lot of fun with this. In the first section you want to do is take right here, the top back of the head right back here and you're gon na hold it straight up like so now. What I'm gon na do is cut this pretty short right through here. So I'm going to bring this up depending on how short you want to go is totally up to you and I'm going to chip into this whole thing here like so, and that is your first section right here now. What I'm do is going to bring everything up from the back to this point here and then I'm just going to continue around throughout the whole top you're cutting it. That short all right now that I've got this piece right here is my guide. What I'm going to do is I'm going to bring everything up to this one point here like so and chip it to it again and I'm going to over direct everything to that one point right here in the middle now eight to the front here: what I'm Going to do is I'm going to bring all this forward like so and I'm actually to start to texturize it just with notching into it with my razor. So, let's do something cool too, with the with this right here, I'm gon na create this a little bit of a shorter textured look in through here this way, if you sweep this over, this will come over this way. So, let's, let's do this again by using the razor and just creating individual pieces like so this way you have a little bit more control over how you want to look now. What I'm going to do is I'm just going to texturize this whole thing with the razor again and I'm going to drag everything forward and just simply notch into it. Here you have the finished result guys. I think it's a pretty badass cake bud haircut, whether you want to call it emo or seen skater, it's just overall, a really awesome, awesome haircut! keaton kerosene: I remember going through my "scene phase" in 2007, and trying to explain this to the stylist was horrifying. She had NO clue what I was talking about; and even at that time, I thought it was pretty standard to ask something as simple as "free-standing, choppy layers" and "sideswept bangs". It turned out a total mess and I ended up doing it myself. Nobody's cut my hair but me since then.

✖Trash.Kitty✖: Guys don't go to a salon for this haircut because %99 chance they don't know how to do an alternative cut and they won't make it look right I've been there... Most scene girls cut their own hair. I suck at it but oh well. Also it feels awkward to go ask for an "emo" haircut cause of what it means. I perfer to think scene hair is it's own signature look but yeah whatever you want.

54thfloor: I am trying to find someone to cut my hair. This is one awesome haircut. I want so bad. There is NOTHING worse than a bad haircut. No matter what you're having done to your hair, the cut is the base for the rest of it. I have spent weeks researching salon's and stylists. My room mate laughs at me and said "It's just a haircut" An amazingly talented stylist like this can make you look and feel like a million. A bad one can cause you to feel and look bad for months. I am so desperate I ordered a razor comb. LOL, But thankfully it's dull as f@#k and I lost my nerve. What I wouldn't give to be close to where I could get this man to cut my hair! I love this. This cut would also look amazing on someone with a lot of grey hair. Also could you put the heads up higher in the video on the ending shots at least ..all we can see are like from the eyes or nose up. Thanks..you rock.
