The 10 Best Celebrity Hairstyles of 2017

I really wanted to post this article yesterday since it is now 2018 and I don’t like to dwell on the past… but hey, life happens. On that note, I’ve also slacked on posting my Celebrity Hairstyle of the Month posts in the past few months. Instead of ending the year with one celebrity hairstyle, I decided to post my top 10 favorite celebrity hairstyles of 2017.

10. Britney Spears

To be fair, I’d probably add Britney Spears to any list of the best anything because she is my favorite celebrity ever. And, well, she always looks amazing. That being said, I really like how she kept her hair for most of 2017. She rocked long, blonde hair throughout the entire year and usually had a polished, glam look. I particularly like this promo from her fragrance line that she posted to her official Instagram account in July.

9. Dua Lipa

Honestly, I kinda just discovered Dua Lipa earlier this year, when she released the music video for “New Rules,” but I am already a big fan.

The flow of this video is really cool, and I love how it demonstrates the strength of friendship. Dua often wears her hair with a light wave in it (like she does throughout this video) and I kinda love it. It’s effortless but also really glam.

8. Emma Watson

Emma Watson was a huge icon in 2017, as she seamlessly portrayed Belle in the live-action rendition of Beauty and the Beast. Furthermore, her gold-flecked undo from the premiere of the movie was one of my favorite celebrity hairstyles of 2017. She paired the classiness of the updo with the trendiness of the gold leaves and french braid. Very chic.

7. Jennifer Lawrence

JLAW brought her game to the 2017 Venice Film Festival. Her dress was fabulous, and perfectly matched with her simple, yet polished blowout. I love how the hairstyles continue to trend towards simplicity.

6. Beyoncé

A very pregnant Beyoncé showed up to her mother, Tina Lawson’s Wearable Art Gala wearing a skin-tight red dress and fantastic hairstyle, complete with a floral crown. Her hair is usually pretty on point, but I’m really liking the crazy headpiece. Bey gave birth to twins, Sir and Rumi, in June.

5. Halsey

Halsey is just one of those people that looks good, no matter what they do. Her short hairstyle was super trendy in 2017, and she rocked it.

I equally like her with longer hair, like the style she had in the “Him & I” music video with G-Eazy… but I’m fairly certain she is wearing a wig. You can decide for yourself.

4. Taylor Swift

I really like all of Taylor’s looks in the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video, but I particularly love the wild, curly hair, in the dancing scene. Natural hair was one of the top looks of 2017, so she definitely nailed it. Furthermore, she was easily one of the most iconic celebrities of 2017. 3. Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner posted this gem on her official Instagram page in July. This was taken at the premiere for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, where she supported friend, Cara Delevingne. This glamorous hairstyle looks fantastic on her, and I hope to see more like this in 2018.

2. Demi Lovato

I was gonna chose Demi Lovato’s hairstyle from her “Sorry Not Sorry” music video for my top favorite look, but I figured the one I picked was a better fit.

Demi looks absolutely stunning in this video, and her hair is no exception. She looks crazy amazing in the entire video, but I particularly love her messy ponytail in the bubbly hot top scene.

1. Gal Gadot

I had to go with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman for my #1 pick this year. This look was so iconic to 2017 and empowered women around the world.

Bonus Round: The Worst

I’m going to get a ton of backlash for this, but I really don’t like Katy Perry’s new hairstyle on her.

I know it is almost the exact same hairstyle as Halsey, and Katy Perry can usually rock any type of hairstyle, but I really don’t like it on her. Look at the difference between what she used to look like and how she looks now.
