1. Pull-Through Braid Updo

Pull-through braids are one of my favorite hair tricks around. This style gives the illusion of a voluptuous pancaked braid but doesn’t require any actual braiding skills.

If you know how to section your hair off into small ponytails, you can master the pull-through braid.

The great thing about this hairstyle is that it’s super quick and easy to do, and you can incorporate it into so many other hairstyles.

I absolutely love this updo tutorial by Annies Forget Me Knots… it’s the perfect Thanksgiving hairstyle. It’s fun and fancy, but not too formal. Oh… and it only takes a few minutes to do.

Check it out…

2. Soft Waves

Wavy bobs have been all the rage this year. I absolutely love the subtle texture and volume you can add to your hair with a little bit of soft waving.

It doesn’t take much time to do, and it just gives you the perfect pop.

Brianna Fox shows you a straightforward way to wave your hair without a ton of effort.

3. Low Messy Bun

Messy buns are at the center of fall fashion… but how fun is a low messy bun for a Thanksgiving hairstyle? You can pretty much make it look however you want by adding waves, braids, or twists for extra style points.

I absolutely love this “easier than it looks updo” tutorial by Kate from The Small Things Blog.

4. Mohawk Dutch Braid

A Dutch mohawk braid is a super stylish way to spice up your hair without a lot of effort. Missy Sue has an excellent video that teaches you precisely what to do with minimal skills.

5. Slightly ImPerfect Ballerina Bun

Did I mention that I love messy buns? What about a messy ballerina bun?

I really like this tutorial by Hayley Larue, since she creates a perfectly imperfect bun by just teasing the hair. Of course, you can always use a donut or hairpiece for extra oomph, but I’m impartial to the messier look.

6. Twisted Half-Updo

Half-up hairstyles are super trendy this year, and guess what? They make amazing Thanksgiving hairstyles. It’s so easy to twist your hair into a romantic half-updo with minimal work.

This video by Alex Gaboury has several different tutorials, but she shows you how to do the twisted half-updo in the first part of the video.

7. A Fancyish Ponytail

Ponytails are pretty easy to do, but there are some tricks you can learn to spruce them up a bit.

Check out this awesome video by Fashionistas to learn some tricks from the pros!

8. Double Dutch Braids

I’m all about the chunky pancake braids this year. And what’s better than one thick Dutch braid? TWO THICK DUTCH BRAIDS!

Here is another video from Missy Sue! Don’t judge… I’m kinda obsessed with her. She’s pretty much the best person ever to teach you how to braid like a champ.

9. Vintage Roll

A vintage roll is a super fun and romantic Thanksgiving hairstyle idea that you can do in just minutes.

I absolutely LOVE this simple hack by Taylor White. She shows you the easiest way EVER to create this look by using a Conair classic vintage roll tool.

But of course, you can also always just the headband hack (learn how to do it from Milabu here!)
