Now to kick this off, i always reset my hair by getting it nice and wet. This will take away any bed head or hat hair and set your hair to its original state. As you can see my hair length, the front is about six inches. The rest of the top is around four and the sides are disconnected and faded from a one to about a 5.. Now i'm going to comb my hair in the direction i want to style. It in for today i will go ahead and style, my hair, all to the left. I prefer a wide tooth comb just to prevent my hair from being ripped out and damaged, they're, actually really great and very smooth on the hair. The links to these combs are in the description below now. The process of achieving wavier hair is very simple. I'M going to start by taking my hair by different pieces and using my fingers to make random twists and turns once i do that, i'm going to take the blow dryer and blow dry, that specific section for only a couple seconds or so and as you will See the heat of the blow dryer will lock the wave in place, although using high heat will work the best if you want to prevent damage, use your blow dryer on the medium temperature setting now my hair is a lot shorter in the back, so i find It a little difficult to make those twists and turns because it's not long enough to even really grab onto yet. So if you have this problem, as i do just simply start scrunching your hair while blow drying, this will create some wave and texture and that's how easy it is to achieve wavy your hair without using any products. Now, if you want to hold this hairstyle in place, i do recommend using a high quality, styling clay or a wax for me. I use hans tobuco's claymation, which is pretty much the best of both worlds. It has a very high hold natural matte finish, and the products have top-notch ingredients to help you achieve an overall, healthier hairstyle check out the promo code in the description below for ten percent off of your order at hansonfugo.com, and there is the final result you

Video Starts At: As someone with thick wavy hair, you don't know how lucky you have it. Unless I spend 30 minutes doing all sorts of shit to my hair, it is completely unmanageable and unpresentable.

Cassandra Faith: "People that have wavy/curly hair want straight and some people that have straight hair we want to switch things up a bit and straight hair sometimes get kinda boring sometimes." So relatable!

summerrr1: You don't need to say "more wavier", just "wavier". I couldn't resist.

Jeremy Cantada: Man.. I always love it when your videos always ends with an encouraging message for people who really need it like me. More support for you!

Adam Darko: When you actually do have natural wavy hair, but still watch the video because Dre Drexler slays your life.

j j: "without any products".. *puts wax okay Dre

Kelvin G: I've always thought that my hair was straight, but recently I've been trying to grow the fringe a bit more and I'm realized my hair is actually wavy! Well, slightly, but I'm so happy to have a little change!

Kevin Ceniceros: First started using a wide-tooth comb two days ago to help me create a classic and wavy contour, Dre Drexler. Worked out fine. And I also have to give credit for both Murray's Pomade, Brylcreem and Royal Crown Hairdressing.

TDM Style: Damn man, I have naturally wavy hair and it never comes out looking this fresh

BlueDay: I tried this method today, and now I have a maintainable hairstyle I actually like! Thanks so much!

Deja Zoo: i have straight hair and its damn boring

Zach Orozco: Thank you! Very helpful. My hair is only wavy in the front so this hairstyle made my hair look even.

Phú Quý Nguyễn: You're just getting better and better, Dre! I love to watch your videos. :D

David Maxwell: I have just about the exact same hair as you, hella straight and just a little shorter but I've been waiting for a video just like this forever! Thanks so much!

Damian Omesh: how can you not love this man's content, keep up the good work dre.

Zachary Park: Love the motivational talks you add at the end of your vids. Thanks for the great content Dre!

Matthew Blackwell: Great tip, my hair is super long and always as straight as an arrow always getting knotted and because of how thin it is there are so many knots, adding a little bit of a wave into it really helped keep the number of knots down

Alison Rmdt: That moment when you're a girl and you have to watch men hairstyling videos to style your hair the way you've always wanted to style it. I loooooooove your videos !

Skyelar Cuellar: Dre I love your videos. Keep up the great work!

Bhuvan: nice intro loved it,simple and looks professional

Aaron Mason: Bro, great channel. This is the first video I've watched and not only was the content awesome, but I was genuinely surprised by the message at the end. It's something i strive to do through my videos too. I love how you're spreading positivity and helping people and i hope to grow large enough that we can work on a project together perhaps. Regardless though, great work and I can't wait to see more. :)

PetroleumJellay: A really easy way to get wavy (or even curly) hair overnight is to twist sections of your hair until it curls into itself, and then secure it with small rubber hair ties or Bobby pins. Take out the hair ties in the morning and you will instantly have curls/volume/waves.

jmichel27: Exactly what I've been waiting for! Well done! Would love to see a athony defalco hair tutorial in the future...

Elizabeth Scheibel: honestly these are the best tutorials I have found so far! I cannot find any women with the same hair style as me that make tutorial videos so I decided to look for mens videos and these are all so helpful! Thank you so much!

naruto uzumaki: I came here for the hair tips but the motivational stuff at the end of your vids is part of the reason I stayed, I'm a new sub but finding some of your motivational stuff has really helped me, I haven't really been feeling the best these past few months but you've really helped to start to feel a little better and to begin to value myself as I should. Thanks Dre, love you dude

Ekhdndjskskxjjx Jjsnxnsmsks: Thank you so much it worked!! Love my new style!

mike shinoda: dre you are such an amazing person glad i found you on YouTube

Peter Ghaly: Another great inspirational message man nice one. Unfortunately I have super curly/wavy hair aha so I'm always attempting to do the opposite of this! :D

Rachel Gail Cadiogan: Ppl who have straight hair: my hair is boring *curls it* Ppl who have curly hair: my hair is boring *straightens it*

Sub if you're against Communism: Wavy hair is the in-between of straight and curly, as all things should be.

UpAndUnder: Hey Dre,how long will it take me to get my hair that long? It's currently 3 inches on the top.Mad love bro.

Gianni Giacobbo: i will try this tmr! this actually makes me believe i can have wavy hair! great vid btw

Andrei: Waves made from straight hair still look 1000 times more amazing than natural waves

Nico: Wow. Great tutorial and awesome message at the end!

Hamza Dolovac: Step one: have perfect hair

Pumpkin Spice is Nice: Thank you so much for this! I've been needing a video like this forever! Thanks man!

Rex Render: The best way to achieve wavy hair without any damage is to tie ur hair into tiny knots using rubber bands and then on the second day youll have wavy hair after the initial curly look. But it does take time

Arlene Gonzales: I have a natural wavy hair, but i tried this without heat only using electric fan and start crunching my hair it works thanks for the tips

ColeZawesome: Love the videos man, keep it up! Im always so excited when I see that you released a new one. Btw, which of all your inspirational books would you recommend the most? I would love to read some.

Avesh Hirave: The tutorial was great, but the inspiration was awesome though. Thank you so much Dre.

Moogle: Hi Dre, I've been watching your channel for a while, and you always recommend a tons of product but from your vlog, and most of your video. You always end up using claymation but for me, claymation does not hold my hair up as it is thicker than most people. I don't want to keep using hairspray, is there any product well for keeping up like a disconnect undercut like yours?

Brooklyn Bayou: Thank you for the closing message. I tried your tutorial and cried. I'd never thought of myself as even Normal looking. Somehow I turned out really well. Thank you again for this tutorial. You are helping so many men.

Emslefuri: Your videos are my favourite, because I am a girl with short hair and need the tips tbh

Ted Chen: Hi Dre, really enjoy this video. May I ask for thick hair person do they need to cut their hair thinner for a better wavy style?

Dennis Alarcon: hey Dre, do you recommend using a heat protecting mouse before blow drying. I noticed that you didn't, and I wondered if there was a reason. great video by the way!

Aaron Moiche: Eeeeeeyyyy yeh brah!!! Awesome video as always, intro was on point, lighting was double on point and the end was very inspirational, very well done man

RC 5052: My hair is pretty thick so any time I leave any moisture in my hair, it has that "messy" look and I hate that lol. I prefer a clean, straight look primarily when I go out or go to work. Nice vid though

RabbitFudge: Thank you so much! This helped a lot ^-^

Dylan Burrows: your natural hair and the way it grows is exactly like mine and i find it so hard to control

Kelby Gunwall: Hey man quick question, if you ever see this comment. When you mentioned that the back was too short to grab onto, what would be the ideal way to style it in this type of way if the back was longer? Maybe i just prefer to keep the back shorter in general compared to the front/bangs cause whenever i style the top and its all relatively the same long length its kind of annoying to style all of that nicely in the back. From what i see in your [Hair] length in this video I don't see an issue with the back being shorter, so how would it benefit to have it longer? Just curious, love the vid by the way. I've definitely gotten bored of my straight hair and i've been looking for ways to change things up and this helped a lot!

Tiago Berrucho: hello, great video as usual do you have any tips on dealing with just a little section of hair that has waves (the remaining is very straight) thanks

David H: Dude I wish I had straight hair! I can't do a thing with my frizzy wavey hair it's so annoying! If I don't straighten it by blow drying it's impossible to style! And it's hard for me to find a product that leaves my hair looking natural the way it is without hardening too much which makes it hard to style after applying the product!

JM: How long did it take to get your hair length, and what do you ask for when you get it cut?

gamestar458 !: love that message at the end. very deep. thanks for that and the vid, I guess I'll try wavy hair now

Dhruv Hans: man im lucky af...I have like natural waves and curls in my hair though it makes them very unmanageable but still...avoids me the 10 mins blowdry procedure xD...great vid man like always and that intro!! #dredrexlerfever #fanfrvr✌

Ciuraru Calin: This helped so much, thank you

luvtavian: I have straight hair and I damn well needed this video

Mike Lawrence: Super cool! And you made it look so easy. You're a good guy

Vincent Rutigliano: Can u please do a tutorial were u make curly hair into wavy hair. That would help me out a lot. Thanks and this was a great video!

Shane Lowe: Hey, Dre! I noticed you said to put the blow dryer on medium heat. Do you also recommend medium SPEED?

Big Daddy: thanks for all the great tips dre can always count on you

Krenyo: Another great video, thank you Dre.

Leo Liu: I have mild wavy hair and I only use lotion to style it. It's easier to make it more straight than more wavy

Trap Triangle: your my favorite youtuber because without you i wouldnt know what to do with my hair and hopefully you read this

Pan The Panda: Damn, that last part about your own interpretation of "love" is genuinely uplifting Very nice

Nathan Fay: I have tried doing this so many times, I do each step you do and it never comes out right, my hair either just ends up frizzy or just my natural straight hair

Pól Reilly: When my hair dries it gets a little puffy, would gel or wax prevent this?

Ivan: Thanks Dre for the inspiration!

HoshiHikari: Does this work on coarse/thick Asian hair or do you need the high setting?

Sirusdark: When my hair gets long, I go to my local barber shop and shout "Numero Quatro please!" No more issues for the next 2-4 months. :D

Amy D: I can't wait to try this out on my son :)

Sailor Mercury: no matter what I do, my hair falls into my face/ won't stay in place. would it help me if I use a blow dryer when styling instead of just wax? (this is just in general not just this tutorial)

Luke McGreevy: This worked really well for me thanks

Timothy Perez: Hey! So my hair is straight, and I do a little comb over. I'd say it's a little bit longer than yours here. But when I comb it to the left it has so much more volume then when I comb it to the right. It looks like a big ol bulb. Do you think it has something to do with how my hair was cut or just the natural characteristics of my hair? Maybe it's the length my hair is at right now? My hair use to be longer than shoulder length, and whenever I'd mess with it like that, it would never have so much volume. What do you think?

Tyler Snipas: dude your flow is goals. I've striving for a nice flow I love the messed up look

TheHolyBoi 100: Love your hair styling videos, your the G.O.A.T

Diego Sanchez: great video bro! Us guys with straight hair does get a little boring, I've been curling mine not the best idea lol.

Tahmeed Rahman: wow I wish I knew this technique before...X'D Thanks a bunch Dre!!

Chris Plath: Even though I have naturally wavy hair, I still love you dude and the video

Guna Sekhar: Hello Mr.Drexler... very inspired by your words.. Apart of that , your hair styling videos motivated me to grow my hair but the problem with is the pollution.. my job is to inspect the sites for that i have to move along city in high pollution and sunlight which in turn damages my hair and cause hair fall..hereby requesting that is it okay with using creams and wax on hair daily, which blower is better to use, n how to wash and clean scalp.. how to protect hair from heat n pollution

spider man fan 447: Your hair is so magical! Aha, keep the videos coming my dude!

Nouman Nazir: I get the same hair style in every morning just like this.

BaconZAreAwesome: I can say that this worked for me except I used a heater which is very hot and it dryed my hair and it became wavy. I basically layed down in front of it with my hair brushed back of course then wait

Nitesh Gautam: I have super straight hair and the problem is it doesn't goes on back. I can't style my hair without hair dryer, wax, serum I use these product everyday

Leon der Luftige: But does this technique also apply to medium long hair? (great advice nevertheless)

PredatorPug: Would thick straight hair work for your type of hair style ? I'm a tad curious

Jack Robinson: I've tried this several times and it seems to work at first than get straight A's the day goes on

Spinia: After watching this i have concluded that it's too much work and i'm shaving my head

Shadowkid: You are awesome man! Love the last bits of your videos, always.

Ritzchie: After making your hair wavy with the hairdryer will it stay like that after you go for a swim or will it just go back to straight thin hair

Alberto Bello: Loved it!
