With the splash or save you, cash in this video we'll be taking a look at foot, hair products and seeing which ones are worth it, which ones aren't, and my overall thoughts of the brand welcome to a new segment which I'm going to be starting on this Channel there are so many men's hair products these days and I've got so many too that I figured why review one product in every single episode? I want to give you my thoughts on a full range of products in one video and out of that range which do I like, which do, I think, are ok and which do I dislike and I think, aren't worth the money and the first one I'll be Taking a look at in this video is Forge. Fudge are a very popular high street and salon hair styling brand in the UK. They might ship to the US and the rest of the world. I truly don't know, but either way I'll be linking all of the products that I mentioned in this video in the description below, so you can check them out if you want to and of course to keep this video unbiased. This isn't sponsored, but the guys at Floyds were kind enough to send me out. A bunch of products could potentially feature in a video just like this one. I'Ve been testing them for a couple of months now. So it's time to see what I think thought you've got two slightly different ranges: they've got the fudge open range, which is that that you'll find in regular retail stores such as boots and they've also got a professional range, which is typically, we might find in salons. I'M going to review both at once because hey, why not the first ones that I like out of the foot ranges are the sea salt sprays. In all truth, I find lots of the sea salt sprays across different hair styling brands to be incredibly similar in their performance, but I really like the ones from both the urban I'm professional range that footage offer. In all truth, I can't see a big difference between the two. These are both pre stylers, that you spray onto your hair and then use a hairdryer with to give you a hair, extra texture and body. If I had to choose one I'd say that the professional version is slightly better. I think it holds in position slightly more after you've used it, but the urban version is cheaper, probably slightly better value for money. You get exactly what you would expect from a pre styling sea salt spray so thumbs up from me. Nevertheless, my favorite freestyler from the food range as a whole is the fudge urban inflatable jelly. This isn't an the meal dessert. What it is is a night boosting pre styler. This is like a really gloopy cream that you apply to your hair and then use the hairdryer with after it says on the packet that it increases hair density by 100 %. I'M sure this doesn't mean actual hair follicle amounts on your head. It'S not going to magically give you loads of hair, but it makes the hair feel thicker, I wouldn't say to the extent of 100 %, but it definitely makes a difference. It probably performs most similarly to something like a thickening cream or thickening tonic. It also keeps them up finish as well, which is great. I know the Robin James did a video, including this a while back, maybe a couple of years back, and he didn't particularly like it, but I don't know whether they've changed the formula, because I certainly like this product, my quite thin and fine hair. It certainly makes a good difference, and also in this section of products, I, like we've, got a couple of styling products, the most popular of which is certainly the fudge urban matte wax. I know plenty of guys use this on the hair and they're, often very pleased with the results. I'Ve included this product on a video before on my channel, that's probably a bit harsh on it. In all truth. Overall, this is a very solid product. It'S quite a thick clay, light product that provides a good hold with low shine. This is great for everyday hairstyles. I find it to be most effective on shorter hairstyles for my hair, even on top the link that it is at the moment it doesn't do. You know that much of a good job I find this sometimes due to its dry nature. It can be quite difficult to apply, and also at times it lacks the structure to stay off once I've used this product before with shorter hair, I'm going to go, get my hair cut, probably tomorrow anyway, I'll give it another try them, but I know that we're Short, so this definitely performs a lot better. It says super strong hold on the tea and I probably say it's a it's: a slightly strong hold. It'S not super strong by any means, but overall, a very solid product, quite cheap, like the rest of the ones in the food range. So it's good value for money. The best alternative to that product in the food range is the professional matter. This provides maybe slightly less hold, but it comes in a much more easily. A pliable package comes in a toothpaste like tube, and the product is a lot more like toothpaste for the consistency. The finish of this one is still it's very similar to the last product. Apart from this product - it's not quite so so dry in the hair, the hold is relatively decent. It gives a nice natural look overall, but my hair I'd say that probably out of this or the inflatable jelly are getting me my favorite product from this range. If you want your hair to have a bit more shine than the last two products, then the best one from the footage range is the hair shaper again, this is from the professional range which overall I find to be a bit better than the urban range. This one provides almost elastic feedback, it's much more slimy than the last two products and, as a result, it provides a semi matte finish if you want to go for like a and I slicked back hair style. This is probably the best product that I found in their range to do that with. For me, this is also the product that provides the best in hair texture out of the food range easy to apply a very solid product overall, but it does leave the hands feeling a little bit sticky afterwards. The hold again is pretty good, although you probably need some form of hairspray to reinforce it. Next, we have a look at the products that I've deemed okay, not ones that I particularly recommend the ones that aren't bad either the first one of these is the matte headmaster hairspray. This hairspray is designed for, if you want to spray into certain areas of the hair, the reason it's in the okay section is because I think it doesn't okay job of this well. For me, I'm sort of a guy who just wants to sell his having place with a styling product and then just blast it with a coat of hairspray just to seal in place. I'Ve tried that with this product and it doesn't really have the same effect. This is much more if you want to spray certain sections of your hair in place, and it does that and you can see it works, but it's just not my kind of product. If you saw him with really short air, maybe you've got like a front. Textured crop - I could see something like this working really well, but for someone who's after, like a full slicked back, maybe like at a pompadour style, you're, not gon na find much use up to this, and they don't really have an alternative hairspray. Also in this category, I'm putting the foot urban texture junk. This product is fine, but as far as I can tell it's a slightly worse version of the funky shaper, these products look and react very similar in the hair, apart from funky shape. A slightly more natural finish and a slightly better hold, it's not bad, but you could probably find other products that do the same job for slightly cheaper and then we move on to the products that I don't really like very much. First, one being the holdup remould herbal paste, I've actually tried this product in the past. Before a couple of years back I tried the matte wax and then, after that I went on and tried the paste, because I had a good time with this one. I figured place, you know. Paste normally works better in my hair, so this is probably gon na be decent and I tried it and it was it. Just didn't really impress me, I'm always doubtful when I see products that say: rework and restyle, because really I don't want to have to rework and restart my hair. I have my hair cut a certain way to suit a certain style. I don't know many guys who suddenly want to flip and change their hairstyle halfway throughout the day. Normally it just means that the whole isn't particularly good and that's the same again with this product, the hold is average. The finish is semi matte. So it's okay. It'S quite a greasy product overall and it doesn't even smell as nice as do the ones in the range. I think this one is supposed to be a mild texture alternative to some of the other products that they do. But in my opinion I don't know many people who would want to really go for this over those products. There are other pastes that do more at this sort of price point. So, for me, this one isn't really worth it and then also in this section I have got gel. We'Ve got an ice free, styling gel I mean I in all true. This is by us repoing this here because you all know I hate gel because in most circumstances gel looks terrible on men. You know what let's give our try. I have actually tried this product before as a pre styler. It performs fine, but now it's going to do the ones in the range. Let'S try this as a as a post styler. This is on top of one of the other products. I mean it's going in okay, incredibly sticky, if it feel has being ripped our basically the same as any of the gel. Really if you're gon na get gel care, the get the wet look gel flat pound started to get all greasy and shiny. There is a way to solve this, that's by using their anti gravity powder, styler, which I almost forgot just chucked it in at the end of this video - and this is one that I actually like again. Most hair powders are very much the same sort of thing in all truth, so this one certainly isn't the cheapest, but it is one of the better ones I've found it leaves the hair feeling nice and thick and it mattifies it a bit, but it still allows You to to move the hair around, it still allows that to be malleable, whereas lots of the Hat powders I've tried before they kind of clogged up your hair and leave it your sticking out all over the place. So overall, what are my thoughts on the fudge? Hair styling range overall I like it. I think they make some really decent products. I mean you will have noticed that because I had a large portion of the products in the I like section, we've got a couple of products that I kind of a bit pointless in all truth, but then they get a lot. So this is down to personal preference and taste, but there aren't any. You know uber, exceptionally good products, but the best ones. For me with a matte wax the inflatable jelly and the matte head. I believe they also do an extreme version of this which I'm yet to try, but that may be even better I'll leave links to those products, as well as all of the rest of the ones that I've included in today's video in the description below. Let me know which brand you want to see next on this series in the comment section below I've got plenty of the regular high street brands here. I'Ve also got a couple of givers like Hanz de Fuko got some Peter and Pedro products. So let me know what you think, and there are some brands that I'm yet to try. And if you want me to include them on the video in this series, make sure you head to Twitter and tell the brand that you want every man to review their products so that maybe they'll send me some sort of up to four Captains of money to Buy them anyway, if you enjoyed this video and find it useful make sure you press the like button.
