Cocunat Curly Hair Styling Product Review | The Glam Belle

What'S up guys welcome back to my channel, i'm brandi and you're, watching the glam bell, and today we are doing a product review. This product is something that i have seen non-stop in my instagram feed. I don't know how much this company is paying for ads, but whatever they're doing it's working, because i feel like it's all i have seen in my instagram feed and of course it sucked me in the brand that i'm talking about is this right here. This is the coconut line, it's brand new from what i can see and instead of coconut, it's called coconut. I thought that was really cute and the packaging really caught my eye. I think it's so pretty and fun they're marketing. You guys. I mean the videos that i've seen the ads that i've seen for them. It was very, very convincing. So if you are interested in finding out a little bit about the coconut line and seeing what i thought about it and how it worked for my hair, then definitely keep watching. Okay, so the first thing i want to do is give you a little bit of information that i could find on their website about this line. All of their products are 100 toxic, free love that they are sustainable and they are cruelty. Free all of their products are curly girl method approved. So if that is something that you are looking for, if you do the curly girl method, then this line is one that could be really great for you. I really did not want to spend money on cleanser and conditioners, just because i have so many of those right now that i need to get through, and i want it to be financially responsible and this product line is a little bit pricier. So i went ahead and just picked up these two products, which were the ones that really caught my eye, the most it's the ones that i feel like i saw advertised the most and this is their curl booster and then their curl spray. So the curl booster is a curl defining gel and it goes for 28.99, and this is a 250 milliliter bottle. It is a little bit on the pricey side, but i figured you know if it works as good as the ads are showing. Then it's worth it to me to get really great results. They did not have any sample sizes, which i always try to go for sample sizes or trial sizes to try a product out. So i had to go for the bigger bottle and on the website, it says that this is a definition gel based on vegetable and essential oils and it's for curly hair and it gives a no matted effect, which of course, we all want that and with curly Hair, it is sometimes difficult, even when you're applying your products to not get your hair all matted and tangled up. It is again cruelty, free, vegan and approved by peta, and this is what really got me. It says that you'll get flexible, nourished and defined curls thanks to this great gel without the clumping effect. So that's really what kind of caught my eye - and i was like all right - i've got to give this a go, and i know in the curly hair world like having our curls clumped is something that most people try to achieve, because it gives you all that Definition for me, when i try to style my hair with those thick curl clumps, i get so little volume because my hair is low density and it is on the finer side and then we've got this product right here, which is their curl spray. It'S a medium hold styling product and it's great for refreshing. The curls as well. It is alcohol. Free also says that it has a no clumping effect, 100 natural perfume, and it says that it is the perfect 100 toxic free solution to naturally and effectively hold curls and waves. For this it says that it has a medium hold, which is ideal for loose flowy hair. I have like anywhere from 2c 3a and 3b curls in my hair. Most of us do have a multitude of curl textures in our hair. I have high porosity hair. I have low density hair and it is pretty fine, so i went ahead and put these two styling products to the test to see exactly how they would work on my hair type, and this is exactly how my wash day went so starting off with the curl Booster product, i went ahead and applied this to freshly washed hair. I actually went in with the briojio curl, charisma, shampoo and conditioner first, but i added this into the hair and i was actually really surprised because i thought this was going to be a gel. Like consistency, but it's very runny in consistency, and it almost has a creamy feel to it, even though it is uh supposed to be a gel, but i just applied this like. I normally would using my fingers to just rake it through smooth it over and, of course, scrunch into the hair. I really wanted to put this product to the test without using any type of detangling brush or a denman brush. Anything like that to help give the curl any extra definition. I really wanted to see what this would do on its own, since it does claim to have that no clump effect, and then it does recommend to spray the curl spray over top of the curl booster. So i went ahead and did that and this kind of is supposed to act like a finishing spray. If you will so, i went ahead and kind of coated the hair a little bit with that and started to scrunch. Now you guys know, i always have to go in with my hair repair towel to really scrunch my hair out and get out any excess water or any excess product that my hair does not need, and so i went ahead and did that next i did not Plop again, because i really wanted to put this product to the test and see what it would do right out the gate without any extra help - and this is what my hair was looking like, while it was still wet, i really was liking how it was looking Already and then, of course, i defused - and here are my final results, you guys, i was shooketh like completely shook at the volume that my hair had. This is insane. This is insane. You can actually see the shock on my face. This is day one hair with no extra texturizing products, and this volume is insane also. I wanted to mention that i love the scent of these products. It'S very gives you a very spa like feel you can smell all the essential oils, so i really enjoyed that. So there you have it. Those are my results and i can say without a shadow of a doubt, that i am obsessed with how my hair turned out. This gave me light bouncy airy curls that did not clump all together and form like a few curls on my head. Instead, it looks like i've got voluminous hair, even though my hair is pretty thin. I loved how the curl spray definitely gave it that extra hold almost like a finishing spray or a hair spray would - and i love that you can actually use this to refresh the hair as well, so i'll definitely be trying that out. The combination of these two - it's a winner in my book y'all now, if you have really really thick hair or you have a super tight curl pattern, i'm not sure how these products will work for you, but if you have a hair type and hair texture density, That is similar to mine. I definitely think you should give these products a try. Something that i will note is that both of these products do have glycerin in them, and this one i believe it's the second ingredient, the first two ingredients are water and then glycerin. So i'm not sure how this is going to hold up in the virginia humidity during the summer like this might be a product that i save for winter time. But i do feel like using the curl booster to kind of give it that extra layer of hold will help protect against the humidity and the effects that the glycerin will have in the humid air. I will definitely update you guys in the description box on how these hold up in the crazy humid weather. One thing i do want to note that i thought was really interesting on the website. Is that you can kind of click and see how to use these products on your specific hair type, you can click on a picture that most resembles your hair type and they go through routines.
