LadyCaribou: My mom had hair like that when I was born, my dad spent 2-3 hours after my delivery brushing her hair out for her and braiding it. A few years later she cut it to knee length. Every few years she's cut it a little shorter and shorter to now in her 70's it's shoulder length.

If you want long hair, then have long hair. if you want very long hair then go for it. if you want incredibly long hair then do it. LadyMustang: I have 5 feet of hair and it’s crazy hard to take care of but I’d honestly cry my eyes if I ever have to cut it. I keep it trimmed usually 2-4 inches every four or five months.
