Hello, this one's for the stylists out there who don't you shouldn't, look at my hair right now, if you're a stylist, this is kind of frizzy. I didn't do my best, so this one's for stylist, um, styling hair can be so hard on your body. So if you're a stylist hi is that Rona? Are you watching Rona? Don'T look at my hair right now. My stylist is watching okay, so it can be super hard on your body because we stand here's. Here'S the thing we've got to stand with our arms up. We by by by saying me, I need you, your arms are up and you're standing all day, so that's hard on your feet, that's hard on your low back. That can be hard on your butt or your pelvis, your neck and shoulders so you're. Here all the time - and we talked about standing posture a lot but just think if you have to stand all day and then you have to bend over, you know you have your chair and you can lift it and lower it so that you're you're doing your Best to hold to keep track of your body, but but if you're, washing hair, you know doing eyebrows all of that you're kind of bending over and it's a little bit intricate work. All of the all. At the same time, you're maintaining a relationship with your client, and that can be really hard if your body hurts so tomorrow we're having a live interactive class. Our physical therapist Mary is going to talk to you a little bit more about posture. How to keep your feet good? What kind of shoes maybe we should be wearing so the real I'm going to talk to you? Give you just a couple of hints about things that we can do as a stylist to keep our neck and shoulders more relaxed and not get neck pain and headaches. Stand a little bit better so that we don't put a lot of pressure on our low back also how to keep the pressure out of that. That pain in your butt, that right in the center of your butt, pain and feet and as always glutes, are the answer, because strong glutes support your feet even better and then the right shoes are really important. If you have to stand for a long time and here's the thing compression stockings, if you have to stand all day for your job, you should be wearing compressions backings. Don'T you think Rona compression stockings? They look super stylish with a short skirt. They make them really cute. The brand Stockwell has really cute compression stockings because if you have compression stachy, so when you stand all day, so here's how your your circulatory system works. Your arteries, who pump blood away from your heart have muscles and they pump hard and they pump the blood down to your feet. But your veins that get the blood out of your feet that go up to your heart, don't have muscles in them and they just rely on the pressure from the arteries, pushing it down one of the ways that we can help those blood vessels get the blood Out of your calves and feet is by wearing compression stockings that helps the blood come out of your feet and really really can improve the achiness and your feet and calves. If you have to stand all day standing posture, it's easy! If you have to lift your arms up, if your shoulders aren't strong to do this, that just kind of look at how it gets you up just a little bit lean back shift your hips forward arms come up higher. Look at how much I can do that without even lifting my arms just with if my neck and shoulders are tight, so we have to work on getting your shoulders down and your arms up and then there's all sorts of. So that's it. That'S a hard thing. Can you practice right now shoulders down arms up shoulders, down arms up lean into the wind shoulders down arms up head, not here head back here now. This is where now we're talking about feet again. So where should? Where should the pressure of in your feet be? Should it be in your heels and the balls of your feet? Are you even thinking about where your feet are, while you're styling here so make being kind of cognizant that the pressure is not all in your heels, because if the pressure is all in your heels, your butt's, tucked under you're, leaning back your shoulder blades have come Way forward, that's not pretty! We need shoulder blades back girls, perky and OH hips, back tailbone, booty, popped shoulders down and back ears back over your shoulders, strongest shoulder blades ever to be able to keep your neck long and lift your arms and do all the things that you need to do. What about wrists hands? That'S a heavy wrist elbow wrist hand profession. So what can we do about that? It'S still shoulder blades when we have a good, strong shoulder blade, so we can move our arm from our shoulder and not do too much with our wrist. That can really ease all the muscles that go that move our rest in hand start at the elbow. A lot of elbow pain comes from not having our really like check your wrist. That'S neutral wrist position not too much this not too much that so the more you can keep your wrist more neutral and that shoulder blade down and back the less. You will strain your wrist and elbow so again. Tomorrow we have a live seminar. It'S free! You can get your personal questions answered. Our dr. mary is doing a live seminar. It'S free tomorrow. Without foot pain, this kind of goes for teachers to you know, watch your body all. If you have to stand all the time, it's kind of the same thing so take care. Let me know how we can help bye.
