I'M Lee Ritenour, I'm a Los Angeles, celebrity stylist, and I'm here with theory today to show you the sexiest, 2013 fall grunge looks. This is Catalina, Catalina's got long, beautiful hair, and I want to show how we can really show this off using my theory, blow-dryer and theory flat irons. I want to give her a good polished look, but I'm gon na finish a little grungy and I'm gon na show you by using my favorite blow-dryer the theory blow-dryer. I love this blow dryer because it gets so hot. Yet it's so light and it keeps the hair really silky and it gets the hair blown out so fast. I love this blow. Dryer though it's so light. My arm doesn't get tired. Ever I worked 14-hour days and this thing saves my honor I like to match my section with the sides of my brush. I'M working quickly because I know at home: you're not gon na be taking the executive section. There'S a copper here: that's the wood, but it's smart to work clean this same size section is my brush. I always keep your blow-dry pointed down that helps to really seal the cuticle and the one thing that I love about the theory. Blow-Dryer again it's been nozzle. It really helps to direct my airflow and to really ensure that I'm going to close and seal that cuticle after going through with the blow-dryer. I like to let my sections cool and I would move from section to section - and I usually like to finish with the flat iron a great thing about the theory flat irons is how quickly they actually heat up. I just turned it on and I'm already at 400 degrees, so I don't like to actually pass all the way through. I like to start with the mid shaft and down just to seal it in that's key, because you always want to keep a little bit of lift at the roots and with a proper blow-dry with my theory. Blow-Dryer, that's! What'S my insurance policy of a proper style, so just a few passes and again I've locked it in we're in Miami. This humidity is going to be contained and we're gon na have a solid glossy look and look at this. I mean you have such beautiful hair. Yes, you're making a CD for me. Some of these tools that we use the heat will go down. This stays at exactly 450 degrees, 360 degrees, it never lowers in temperature and it always stays at the right degree. Sometimes, when we use a tool it drops in temperature as we're using it more and more and more. This one does not and again I'm just thinking, grungy, East Village, New York II, just like the theory Flatiron a glides through the hair, so well that I can create like little cranks in the hair. To look like I was maybe had my head on a pillow, or maybe it just was playing with it or or maybe I had curls in it the other day and they fell out anything just to give it that natural wave. So it doesn't look like your hair is overdone and again, even if I want to shift the temperature, which I usually like to do, because she has highlights and working at the hottest temperature usually isn't the best idea. So I can shift it and bring it down. After going through it, because I don't want to damage her hair at the same time and shifting the temperature, I just unlock it - real quick drop, it done and it locks in like three seconds. It doesn't change in your hand. Sometimes you have the it'll shift in your hand, and you don't know if it's on or if it's off or if it's shifting temperature, this one's great. So after finishing through my look, I don't like perfect hair. It'S not fun to to look so overdone. I, like grunge, it's hot, it's sexy it's in style right now. I like to finish with some dry shampoo, sometimes and to kind of give it like a grit. Some movement kind of look like you, have Bed Head, it's the best type of hair, but using the the flat irons and the blow dryers with theory. It makes sure that, like my frizz won't get out of control, but yet I can still kind of look rugged and rough and, like I had a fun night, I'm Lee Ritenour, I'm with theory today and I hope you enjoyed our fall.
