Hi guys and welcome back to my youtube channel. Thank you so much for clicking on this video and so obviously, as you can tell from the title, this is going to be a review or kind of like slash first impressions of the Dyson air up complete. So I was very, very kindly sent it a few days ago and I got this red edition version, which is beautiful. Less people like I love this box, so nice and I thought I would basically come on here and use it properly for first time. So I've played around with it. I'Ve done it on a few strands of hair and there's a few things that I've already kind of like picked up and learnt so I'll run through those first before we get into it. But I just wanted to show you the actual product, what you get and what everything does. First of all in case, you are not familiar with it. So, first of all, you get the actual Dyson attachment main. I don't know what I'm calling it. The main body of the Dyson air app complete and you basically have on/off and then there's a cool setting and there's also different heat settings, this side and then there's power settings this site for the attachments. You literally have an unlock button here and then you just twist them and take them out like that, and you get quite a long wire, cable, so yeah, that's quite handy! Then inside you get 2 and 30 millimeter curling arils. I don't know what they actually call them, but one of them is for one side of your head, and one of them is for the other side of your head. Basically, the air will pull your hair a certain way. So obviously you want it always going away from your face. So for the different size you need the different contraptions I haven't worked out, which ones which yet so I will let you know when I work that out and then you get to 40 millimeter ones. So these are for more like waving or kind of like big soft curls, so I'm going to be using the 30 millimeter once-a-day, which are quite small for my hair. I never usually go for this smaller barrel, so it would be interesting to see they also have a big kind of like volume brush. So this is for doing that, your roots and getting that really like blow-dried, volumous, bouncy, look and like the ends kind of all. Curled under that's what that's for and then you also get two brushes, which are also for kind of like smoothing and like curling under and getting like the really frizz free, blow-dried. Look, one of them is a hard firm brush and one of them is slightly softer. So I mean if you're like, I would use that's my mom just because I've got so much hair that this probably won't actually do a lot. If you find a hair, maybe that one will be better for you and and then you actually get this little cleaner thing. It gives you instructions on how to clean this filter down here, we're obviously all the air going in this comes out, and then you can clean it with this. So that's pretty handy, and then you also get this one, which is just for blow-drying. So you can just attach this and use it as like a hair dryer and, as we all know, that the Dyson hair dryers have like great rap and I've just use this, and it was really good. So, as you can see, my hair is kind of like half wet half dry and it's, I would say it's about 80 % dry, and that is because, basically, my hair is very, very, very thick. It'S also kind of like wavy, curly and coarse and there's just a lot of it. So and when I use this for, like a couple of strands of hair, I used it on damp hair and where my roots will kind of always have a natural wave. If I let my hair dry, naturally, basically I'll get like kinks in the roots, so I always blow dry and use a brush and blow dry the roots straight and then what I always blow dry it all straight before I curl anyway, and so I read a Lot of reviews - and this was people were saying if you've got curly hair like you're gon na still you're not going to be able to get the roots straight and you're gon na have kinks in your roots. So that is why I have blow-dried my roots so that they are straight so yeah. That'S one thing that I would point out: if you do have curly hair, if you just have like a soft way or your hair is quite fine, it's probably gon na be fine to just go straight in with one of the all the big volume brush and That will probably just smooth out any kinks that you have, but if you do have quite thick like wavy hair, then you're probably gon na, be the same as me and need to just thought those roots out and so yeah. One thing I would mention, first of all, and apart from that, I think I'm just going to get straight into it, so, by the way guys, I always always always use the philip kingsley daily damage defense. It'S really good. It'S like a leave-in conditioner. It'S also got obviously heat protection damage defense, so it just helps like smooth your hair whilst protecting it and keep it nice and conditioned so just put that in and brushed it through, and then I think I'm just gon na go straight in with the curling ones And then, when I get to the top layer, I might use the big barrel brush for some volume around the root and around my face. So as I was saying, they go different ways. Now they do have arrows on them. So you can see the direction that the air is going to blow your hair. So basically, if I think about it - and I'm holding this like this - and this is gon na be in here - the air is going this way. So that means that my hair will go away from my face, which is what we want, which means this is the one that we use on this side. So they are quite easy to work out and then yeah. You literally just click it in and then it will lock and there's a little lock here and that's that so I've obviously read some instructions and I've also used it a couple of times. So you basically you turn it on, and then you hold it next to your hair and it kind of just sucks it round, and then you bring it up to your root and you just hold it there and then, before you put it out, you turn it Off and then you pull it down, if you don't turn it off first, it ends up like tangling, your hair. I'Ve done that so yeah, I'm just gon na. Obviously I can't talk when this is long, because it's so loud, but I'm just gon na go for it. Basically, it only knows about how long you meant to hold it, therefore, but that seems to have worked so there's like the first curl there's really bouncy. I Cindy is out I'm taking quite small sections just because it is quite short this barrel, if you have shorter hair, this is basically this is gon na, be really good for you. I think you can get a long attachment. So if you have hair my length or even longer, you might actually be better getting the longer attachments and presumably you can buy those separately. So maybe one look into doing that, but yeah. If I took any bigger section of hair it just probably wouldn't fit on the on the barrel, so yeah, okay, I like that one went a bit better, but they are nice and bouncy and volume er so far, so I'm just going to like do the full Bottom section of my hair and then spray it with hairspray and torture, guys about what I thought. Okay, so that's that side done, which was actually quite quick. I'Ve had a lot of people. Ask me if it takes a lot longer than curling with a curling barrel. Curling Tong and, first of all, if you're thinking the length of this video, it's super long. My hair is so thick that when I curl with a curling Tong, it does take me ages. My hair just generally takes ages to style. I'Ve never been able to stand. My hair quickly, it's like a whole process, which is why I only wash my hair once or twice a week, but yeah that so far was pretty quick. It'S very, very voluminous and bouncing super bouncy is kind of like what you'd get. If you did it with a barrel, I think and a barrel brush, but yeah. It'S definitely because where my hair is just a little bit frizzy naturally and like it's not kind of like sleek and straight naturally, I can definitely tell it's kind of wispy. That makes sense it's not like super smooth and sleek. I would be very interested to try blow-drying it with a brush and doing like a full, proper blow-dry. 5. You know kind of like big kumis like waved ends. I think that would be super super nice and I've read a lot of good things about people with curly hair wavy hair using that attachment. So I'll definitely try that next I'll probably try on my Instagram stories and show you guys. So if you're not following me on Instagram I'll link it down below and but yeah also another thing I notice you need to hold it very straight for the hair to like first of all wrap properly and also this gets really hot. So you've got this little attachment thing at the end here, where you can hold, it doesn't get hot, but yeah bear in mind. This does get hot they to release it. You just do this and then hold it from the bit. That'S cool and then we're gon na put the other side on and to the other side. Okay, so that's like the first section done and look a little bit mad. Now I always do and I've just first put curls in before I brush them out and so I'm gon na spray it. What I say is it's super super easy to like get the hang off your hair, like does the wrapping thing really easily, so you just kind of like hover at the end and then it just does it for you and if it doesn't, you can kind of Just wrap the hair a little bit and then you just get the hang of it so easy, so yeah in terms of ease of use is definitely like an easy one to pick up by the way, I'm using the Neal & Wolff control, hair spray, it's so So good, their brand is just amazing in general and they're like big oil and sustainability, and things like that and this hairspray if you've got a thick hair and you a stronghold is amazing, just got that in my mouth. Okay, so I always do my hair in three sections so that the top section gets like the most attention. So I'm just gon na put up another section at the top. That section was really wet as well, and it's like I didn't hold on for that long and it's really dry, so that's good good to know that it dries really quickly. Okay, so that is like the majority of my hair done. That is just like this little top bit to do. Um, it's so volumous, it's so bouncy like. Obviously I always go like this yeah, I'm I'm impressed. Obviously I need to rush out. I think when I rush out, it's gon na just be really big, like volumous curls, rather than anything tight like this. My main thoughts are that if you don't have frizzy hair like me and your hair is like finer or slightly kind of like sleeker, this is literally going to be like the most amazing to ever happen to you. It'S so good, and it's it's actually really quick. So anyone who's asked me: is it taking a lot longer than a normal tongue? I don't think so because with a normal Tong, you're sort of they're like wrapping it round faff and on this one you just kind of like literally like that and then boom and then just waiting. So I think this probably we've like changing the attachments and things like that's probably just about the same time as like using a Tong and but yeah you can definitely. I can definitely tell when I get too near at the top because of how much hair is going around the barrel and it's less like socks in it'll. It kind of clings to my hair last by by the time I get to the top, but like the roots here so yeah. Basically, if you had, if you had less thick hair, I think it would work better, not that it's not worked well. I just think it would literally be life-changing like it's, so it is so good. It'S so cool like the technology is so good, and so I want to try out some of the different attachments. So I'm just quickly going to spray this section. So for the top section, I want to try out the big brush this big bow brush here and try and like get some volume in my route and see if I can kind of like curl it around. I might. I will then probably carve some bits because it will probably just look weird but um yeah. I just want to try out some different different attachments. So that's what I'm gon na do. Okay, so I've just got like this first section and I'm just going to see what happens really. Okay, so I mean that was literally the first time I've ever used that attachment, so I wasn't very good at. However, it's definitely given me like lots of volume in the route there and dried it super quickly. I'M gon na quickly swap to the brush and just see if I can get like a nice car round the end with brush. So this is the brush. I'M talking about this is the firm brush, okay, very impressed with that brush. As you can see, it's kind of like giving me that blow-dry vibe, it's like really nice, sleek and like held under I love it. I think yeah, that's super good, and that was so quick as well. So I feel like if my hair is 80 % dry, and I did I use this on the whole thing to just kind of like finish it off dry it a straight and brush it. Like so, it's got volume and then use that for volume at the root you get like a really nice bouncy blow dry, like kind of like straight that, but I dried you know what I mean so yeah. Well, you know that obviously I'm gon na curl it because otherwise look slightly insane and but I'm just gon na use the barrel see if I can get some more root and more volume on all of my roots and then I'm gon na curl, the rest of It okay, so I'm quite impressed with that as well. I know look model right now, but it's given me quite like nice. Bouncy volume also just want to point out that this brush is so good. My hair gets tangled so easily, and you probably saw with that last section. It was just like a matted mess and I debated to getting my brush through it, but this brush was so good, which I just didn't think it would be that good, because usually I have to use like really good brushes on my hair. So it's super impressed with that attachment. I'M gon na go back now, make sure I'm using the right one. So I'm gon na go back to this one and just curl this top section, you okay, so this is my hair all done before. I do anything with it: just hair sprayed it it's so so volumous I mean my hair is falling this anyway, but that is next-level but yeah, and I think I probably I don't want to fully brush it with a brush like hard, but I'm just going to Go through it softly once it's all cool and just brush out a little bit, and because it's a little bit ring leaf, it's a little bit of ringlets II. For me right now, but yeah I mean like for first impressions. I think I could do it better. Next time, but I'm super impressed with volume it does. It is kind of like a salon like blow-dry curling vibe, like with all this volume going on, it's so bouncy and it's obviously less heat damaging on your hair, which I love and all the different attachments. I really can't wait to use this one and do like a sleek blow-dry with lots of volume in terms of swapping the attachment it actually takes like two seconds: it's not a big deal and yeah. Basically, overall, I love it. So I feel like I'd, want to use it a few times before. I fully tell you whether I feel like it's worth the price tag, because let's not beat around the bush. This is expensive, but you know if you're gon na be using it every other day to style your hair and it's gon na be like giving you that blow-dry cylon look then definitely worth it. Isn'T it surely so yeah, I'm gon na kind of try out a few more times see what I think I'll probably do an IG TV, video of me using the brush and doing kind of like a blow-dry, vibe and so yeah. As I said, do you follow me on instagram, if you don't already, and that will be up and there'll also be some thoughts on stories as well, but let me know what you guys thought and it. What I would say is it's super easy to use. So if you're worried about that, like just give it a few practices and it's just kind of like yeah, it's easy and so yeah - I think it's cool enough now that I'm gon na my fingers through it and see what happens okay. So there we go. That is then brushed out. They just got kind of like bigger and looser. I am super impressed. I don't have any other hair tools that make my hair look like this. Quite frankly, this is like someone else, southern next level, so yeah I love it. I feel like I need to put a little cone here, but apart from that, so so nice, so the next test will be to see how long it lasts. I guess, but anyway, thank you guys for watching. I hope this was kind of helpful or just interesting or anything like that, and if you don't already, please don't forget to hit subscribe and yeah. I will see you guys in the next one bye

Daisy Elton: You don't need to turn it off when you have done each curl. Drop the heat to the cool setting for 5 seconds to set the curl, then just pull away. Your hair should never get tangled :) x

Isobel: Ive seen people use the brush attatchment the one firm and softer one, cant remember the name but ive seen people use that to flatten the top of the head. They basically just use it as a brush and brush the hair up there and then it just dries as the same time ofc. If you are doing it on wet hair youd have to do more passes with the brush but just though you should know that. I also think I saw people use the "blowout" brush the round brush to straighten the top of the head.

Teri Maki: Would love a follow up video to this

Frida Oropeza: OMG I love your hair is soooooo pretty

hails valentine: You should blow dry your hair with the round brush attachment through your roots to get it straight instead of doing it separately with a brush!
