I'M Alan Edwards birthday, Alan Edwards here in Woodland, Hills and also not Alan Edwards calm. Today'S subject is getting a little older and how to deal with your hair. A big problem with sometimes with getting older is your hair starts thinning out, and everybody wants to have fuller, thicker hair, even as they lose some of their. So that's something that we have to deal with and it's important as your hair gets thinner. We have to do the right haircut, where the crowns are shorter and starts covering some of the areas that seem to get thinned out and a big mistake that I see when hairdressers do older women, that they have a tendency of putting older styles on older women Or old-fashioned styles and over the women they don't see them wearing new haircuts and and more contemporary looks where, when we teach at the elevator salon, no matter what age you are you're a woman of this time period. It'S not where you go by clothes. You walk into a store and ask for something from 1975 right. You get clothes of today, year, 2012 or 2013, which we're going into so when we cut here and somebody gets older, it's important is to really look at the hair and see what's going to make them feel younger about themselves and feel good, and that's the important Thing as women and men both get older, they want to, they want to look young, they want to feel younger and without being silly and while doing things or wearing clothes or hair, that's not right for them. Another thing we also do as people get older. Is they get grayer as myself? What you can do to change a color instead of dyeing your hair completely, you can add darker highlights through your hair, as we have done with with Mary Ann here. We'Ve added darker highlights inside your hair to take away some of the gray and it sort of dilutes that so remember we're dealing with thinner, hair wearing a great style. As you get older and sort of getting rid of some of that gray, you can see how great it looks at how fuller hair is and how much body and in your thinning areas in the crown you can see by blowing it dry by using the round Brush lifting that hair up putting the blower on the base of the hair fills up the area and give that lift that she needs and the frizz eliminating cream has taken away all that frizziness, as you saw before when she first sat down. So it's very important for you when you bowl dry, your hair and when you sell it, you use the right. Hair products, use the right, brushes and then you'll get the results that the hair stylists give you when you're in the salon. The worst thing that happens is when you go in. It looks good when I leave, but I can't do it myself. That'S because you're not using the right products and don't be afraid to buy the things that you need to make yourself. Look good. Here'S a really interesting product for you. It'S called texture string. This is a fantastic product. We sell thousands of these in a linear, it's calm and what it does. It'S a fiber technology and you put the fiber in your hand. As you see, that's gooey, you put rub your hands together, break it up and create this fiber. This fiber goes into here and gives your hair tons of body and lifts that hair up. It makes your hair thicker. Everybody wants. Thicker, hair and texture string. Is the product that creates thicker, fuller, hair for every age and every type of style, and you can see what it did it just lifted? That crown I put in my hands it pops right up. It goes into the hair into the shaft of the hair, fills it up and makes it fuller and actually adds and gives you more hair. Well, I'm Alan Edwards - and this is the hair cell for mature women women over 40 Thanks

Teri Head: Oh my gosh, this is exactly how I feel about my haircut, I get the same old haircut for 50+ women no matter what I ask for!

Rachel Ross: I agree, the model has beautiful thick hair but for those of us with baby fine hair that is getting thinner every year, these tips don't help us much. Products just seem to weigh the fine hair down making a greasy mess.

Brattiness1: Thin hair doesn't always happen. My family has really good hair genes.. both my brother and father (who is 70yrs old) have a full head of healthy thick hair.

Evelyn Fredericks: Love the style and the idea of dark streaks...never knew that...thank you....

Maryann Stensrude: I loved your "older" model! She is so funny. She cringed and rolled her eyes (and I don't blame her) every time the hairdresser kept saying Old, and Older women... OLD, OLD, OLD! She just wants her hair done. I'd love to meet her. I'm old...76!

Rosalind Martin: Ditto to below... Model has GReAt hair. So do i but the only fantastic cut i ever got was doing a walk-in into a little salon in Madrid. A woman gave me BOB in 15 minutes for $20 U.S. Loved it!!!

beanie green: great job..i love her hair style.  its a contemporary style and looks good

shirley warner: How awesome your on my Facebook and I’ve been watching you for a long time what a lovely tutorial

toyne38: Love the style

Rita Brandow: Boy there is no way my hair would stay that way. It is natural curly

Annie Step: Older Women do not need what is called , a Older Women's hair cut...Just a Edgy Cut that anyone would wear..

Carole Oneill: Gorgeous that was love it

Liz Loria: fantastic advice.

Colleen: This model does NOT have thin hair :0) Would be nice if you used a model with truly THIN hair. I like her cut though. Had no trouble understanding what he says.

DRM: I WOULD LIKE TO SEE...for once, someone actually have a model with thin hair...this lady has more hair than my 14 yr old daughter...why bother to make a video for thinning hair and NOT even show what you can do with thin hair,,,,,,anybody can make this womans hair look nice...she has a lot of it to work with...real bummer

Sharon Wrijil: Her hair looked nice to begin with.

Rainy Tedandeffi: Wish my hair was a bit thinner. My hairdresser won't thin it out too much it bugs me

Marti B.: thin hair is not a problem if you use the right product, texture with polymer fibers will help to fill out your hair. go to his website to order.

lizanne: I would go nuts having all that hair falling right in my eyes!! I thought right through the video you were going to cut it!!! Nope people, this is the finished hair!! How shocking!

Colleen: And I am over sixty - had not trouble hearing him. He is speaking fairly fast - but perhaps your speakers are not clear or, heaven forbid, you have some hearing loss. It happens - even to the young.

GlassOnion: Can you PLEASE tell me the name of the products again? You speak so fast I cannot understand the name, brand, or the website to get it.

Tina McDermott: That is not thinner hair.as a hairdresser he should know that.this lady has thick hair.not thin hair.

maybenot007: Thumbs up! Thanks

Kacy Curran: CAN'T find the website or the products you talk about. If you can't talk slower please answer comments. Cute style but I don't see thinning hair on her!

Lou B: I object tot he language used in this video. This is a feminist issue. We age we age we age- I don’t want to look younger I am happy to have reached the age I have got to...I just want to look elegant and good at the age that I am.

Linda Sims: good job

Diana Burnham: great hairstyle, but she has a lot of hair. I have that same hairstyle, but my hair is very fine and much thinner than hers. This really didn't help me. But I am sure it helped those who have a lot of hair.

Ann J: She does not have thinning hair!!

Maxine La Fleur: Try styling hair that is actually thin, what a joke!

Violetta Àgnes Szász: He is stylish too...

Fancy’s Folly: Very cutecut

Rita Cassidy: Can we have Models with very thin hair with all the issues we have please please please

Ro0bArB: I don't want to look younger thanks. I want to look cool. First of all, women over forty? Please! I'm 35. My Mum is over 50. We like hair to look good. I'm going grey now, believe me I don't want to go darker. Either go natural or go pink/blue/purple. Cannot wait to be able to dye my hair pink without bleaching it first. Off now to find a video from someone who understands women over 25. Jeez even the model was cringing through this!

Linda Sims: good job

Judith Smith: He mumbles something about the product he is using - He is actually saying "texture string" sold at his Allen Edwards Hair online shop - the product is really called "Texture Defining String". This was a very muddled and unclear presentation of a product which sounds useful for short, fine hair. I was just able to pick up his name which is Allen Edwards and googled that. You can also try some of the Texture Sprays to give body to your fine hair. A good cut and the right product makes for a modern look. So ladies I hope that helps. Regards.

Ruth Kaha: What wearer the products you used

belpberg1: I'm affraid that you are a bit to far away for me and my hair ;)

Sharon Wrijil: Bought it, didn’t work for me.

Christina Clarke: i watch these hairdressers and products they use but you cant get them!!!!!!!!

DeeDee Moore: CAN'T UNDERSTAND YOU YOU TALK TO FAST AND DON'T PRONOUNCE THE WORDS CLEAR. HAVE NO IDEA THE NAME OF THE PRODUCTS OR WHERE TO BUY THEM. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE UNDERSTOOD WHY DO A VIDEO???

Judy Berends: This is a horrible for her .I thought she was a MAN. She needs a more feminine style .

Jan Barriault: sorry,,, im not seeing a contemporary, edgy cut...

Sandra Bubon: ver y happy

brenda cleaver: Nice hair but a horrible hair style.
