Hey everyone. Kayley your friendly neighborhood hairstylist here and today we are doing some straight heatless hairstyles for spring and summer. (, cheerful music ). Now, in a recent video, I ask you guys what videos you'd like to see more from me and a bunch of you said straight hairstyles, because I always curl my hair in my videos and then a bunch of your guys said heatless styles, because I always curl. My hair in my videos, so that's what we're doing today and I think it'll be a lot of fun.. We have a great mix of hairstyles and I've got my hair air dried and ready to go. So let's go ahead and get into it.. This is normally where I tell you guys what hot tools I use and what products I use. I've used shampoo and conditioner today, but I did what to tell you what they were, because I feel like my hair is poppin'.. They are from Herbal Essences who's. Also sponsoring today's video - and this is the sheer moisture, cucumber and green tea, shampoo and foam conditioner, and these are great because it's sheer moisture. So it adds in that nice veil of moisture back to your hair without ever weighing it down and they're good for maintaining volume in your hair, especially the foam conditioner, because this is formulated for fine hair to be used from root to tip. Without ever weighing your hair down - and I feel like it - has left my hair so ready for styling., I don't feel like. I need hot tools. I don't feel like. I need an arsenal of products, just these.. That said, let's get into the video. For our first hairstyle we're gon na keep it simple and sweet.. Your first step is to pull everything into a low ponytail, and I recommend using a comb to get everything nice and smooth.. You can even use a little bit of the bourbon manuka honey oil infused cream to smooth things out and get them really nice and sleek. To secure everything you can use a normal elastic, but I'm using a little hair bungee.. It has hooks on both sides and you hook one side in wrap it around and then hook the other side once it's as tight as you want it to be.. So that's our sleek pony tail., I'm gon na accessorize with a little gold cuff.. This is from Chloe and Isabel.. You can use whatever you like, whether it's a scarf a barrette, a cuff there's so many options.. Now, let's tackle some braids., This style is gon na have braids that come kind of around the top of your head and meet in the middle. So it's kind of a new style of braid crown. First thing, you're gon na do is part your hair.. This can be in the middle or on the side., I'm just kind of doing it slightly to the side., Then, on one side, take a section of hair and begin braiding normally and then we're gon na start adding in hair and because this is a lace braid. We'Re only going to add in hair from next to our face. When you're on the other side of the braid you just get to braid normally.. This braid continues going back at an angle and you're, aiming for kind of the top back of your head.. Just remember this is kind of like a tiara sitting on your head. So that's the angle: you're going for. You're gon na keep lace braiding until all the hair. Just behind your ear is in the braid and then you can switch to braiding normally, and that is our first braid.. You might notice. I used a couple little pointers from my weird volume tips and trick video. I'll link that if you want to see it, but let's go ahead and do the other side and now we're just gon na bring the braids together in the back.. First, you wan na brush the hair to get it all nice and smooth then pin the braids right next to each other, and there you go.. This is a nice sleeker, take on braids.. It gets your hair out of your face and has perfect vacay vibes and now it's time for a classic. Optionally. You can start by teasing the hair at the crown of your head for just a little bit of lift and now whether you chose to tease the hair or not you're gon na gather the hair from the crown together and pin that in place. Now just grab A large section of hair from one side and sweep it back and pin it it place and now we're kinda gon na do the same thing on the other side. We're gon na sweep this back and tuck it behind the section that we just pinned and the You can pin it it place or not just depending on how your hair is feeling.. I did let the pieces around my face just go ahead and fall because they were short and probably going to fall throughout the day anyway, so I just decided not to fight it and then in the back. If your hair's going super super straight and a little flat, you can pick up a little bit of the piece that we tucked in to create that really nice arc and then pin that in place, and it just brings everything together and that's it. A quick little half up, half down hairstyle with a twist. Okay. I love this next one. You're gon na start by taking a section of your hair near your hair line.. You want it to be long enough to get back to your pony tail. So just keep that in mind and then you're gon na braid. That section all the way down and secure it with an elastic and now repeat the same thing on the other side and now we're gon na leave the braids out and put everything else into a low ponytail.. Now you're gon na take one braid and wrap it across to the other side of the ponytail and pin it in place and then do the same thing with the braid we have left. And now, if you want, you can wrap some hair over the elastic. But I'm actually gon na braid a section of hair first and then wrap it around the elastic. So it looks like the braids that came back are just wrapped around it and that's it.. I love the simplicity of this and I really recommend it for those of you guys with brunette and dark hair, because it will show up super well., Now finishing off with a quick and easy bun.. This one is great for second day hair, so I'm gon na use a little bit of the cucumber and green tea dry shampoo for a quick refresh and some added volume.. This could just be like hair perfume. It smells so good.. Now we're gon na pull everything back into a low ponytail and then once it's in just encourage any little baby pieces that want to break free to go ahead and break free. Again. We don't want to fight them and I have some plans for them later and now you can make any bun you want., I'm going to go for a classic chignon by using a clear elastic to loop, my hair and then pinning the ends kind of haphazardly. So it's a little bit messier and I also have a few baby hairs that wanted to escape here and because this is kind of a messy bun. For me, I'm gon na leave those out and then for the front. We obviously have our baby hairs., I'm gon na go on one side and pull them back, and then I'm gon na use a Kitsch bobby pin to hold them in place.. These are metallic, so you have rose gold, silver and gold., I'm gon na use. I think the gold, but I'm gon na use a second and third bobby, pin to accessorize the hairstyle a little bit more., I'm loving, bobby pins as accessories and I picked these shiny gold ones. So they would both go with my hair, but also kind of stand out and then on this side you could leave your hair down, but I think I'm just gon na tuck it behind my ear.. I think that makes everything look a little cooler and I think that's it., I'm really liking this updo., It's casual, but cool.. You could wear it every day or even on a night out, and I particularly love it for those of you with thin hair and lots of layers.. It will definitely work for you and those are all the hairstyles I have for you guys, today. A big thanks to Herbal Essences for sponsoring today's video. Sponsors, like these guys, help make my channel possible. So I'm very grateful for them.. You can definitely check them out in store, but I really recommend taking a peek at their website because they have a ton of information on their products over there and it's very helpful and just one more note. I know that my natural hair is straight, but for some of you guys, your natural hair is wavy and curly. So I'm gon na take some pictures of these hairstyles on wavy and curly, hair and post that over on my Instagram. So you can get an idea of how it would look on your hair without heat, but that is it for today's video.. Please hit that like button. If you enjoyed it, it really helps support my channel and, of course, you can hit the subscribe button to become part of the Braidaholic family here on Kayley Melissa and that's it for today. I'll see in my next one. Bye. ( playful music ). So this is actually my hair., I'm a big fan. What are they called again? We are doing some., The sheer moisture, cucumber and green D. Green D. ( laughs, ), It's a little bit of the bourbon. At an angle, back., Hair without.. I'D say I need coffee, but I've already had my max coffee for today, which is probably why I can't talk.

Chris H: I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to do these since my hair is super wavy, but I love how a lot of these can work on a few different textures! Definitely trying the tiara braids, the braided pony, and the chignon.

Darcy Reads Sometimes: These are gorgeous! The cuff, the updated crown braid, the swoopy half up, the bobby pin styling, ugh! SO good. And so doable. Thanks dear. I might use some of these to wear to work. :)

LogophileLyss: This is exactly what I needed!!! I have long, straight, fine hair that hates heat, and I've been trying to figure out some way to get it under control. I love doing LOTR or Elven hair styles, and a few of these are definitely my style! THANK YOU!!!

Stephanie Pirir: I love these hair styles!! Definitely want to try the crown one. Could you possibly do straight heatless hairstyles for short hair? That would be awesome

Lsvs: Awesome!!!! So needed this. Sleek and classy and perfect for warm weather. Like its simple but thought out as well ❤️✨

Tal Levin: Really pretty! Would love to see more dark hair styles, as I love braids but they don't show up that well on my hair color...

Carolina Trindade Ferreira: I am LOVING the scenes after the credits! My hair is straight, super thin and full of layers, and i am already trying out this, and, aside my poor skills, it's turning out quite nice :)

Christina Keesey: I have straight, long thin hair. I usually wear my hair down, but your videos have given me awsome hairstyles that give me confidence. Thank you.

Zoe Bailey: I really struggle doing buns, they always end up falling out or looking like a strict ballet bun. Could you do a video on buns or just do some more pointers when you do a bun in a video?

Chloe Wrigley: Love it! Yes!! Found more hairstyles I can use! My hair is naturally straight and fine and these really work. Thanks Kayley! ❤️

Rachel-Elisabeth: Love it! I`m gonna rock all of these styles on my super fine thin hair Thanks so much for the inspo

Duda Wanderer: This is such a great video! So helpful. :D I can't wait to see the wavy and curly hair pictures on insta - my natural hair is pretty wavy. I would love to see more versatile hairstyle videos like this!

Maike: Thank you so much! I especially love the braided half-updo. I'll definitely try that out this week!

Diana C: If my hair air dried like that, I would never do anything else! Great styles as always.

SN_Cole: That foam conditioner looks AMAZING. I have fine straight hair, so being able to use it root-to-tip sounds fantastic.

Britney Stojke: Really loved this video!!! Especially the take on the crown braid and the half up twist ❤️

Schmevs's Corner: Love the braids into a ponytail! I'm a mum and I'm fed up of wearing my hair in a messy bun or boring ponytail so will definitely try a few of these :)

Summer Hull: Love these hairstyles, I'll definitely be trying these out

Janie Tyrell: So useful for me because my air-dried hair is exactly like yours! Also, usually if I do little braids and stuff that include my crown you can see my scalp because of how fine my hair is but I had the brilliant idea to use the hair powder like you did in your weird tricks for volume video! You’ve really changed my hair game

Allie: I love videos like this bc it takes me back to years and years ago when I found your channel and learned how to braid my own hair

sundancer: LOVE heatless hairstyles and braids! more pls!

patatrah: Great video! I have fine and straight hair and I need quick, easy and pretty hairstyles when I'm in a rush! Sometimes I don't have time to curl my hair and some hairstyles don't look as good with straight hair as they look with curled hair! Thanks a lot!

Sarah Frederiksen: Loving the braided hairstyles! I'm absolutely gonna try these!

sleepy shadow: I love the fact that I'm addicted from your videos and not only the hairstyles that you make are cool, but you are also so sweet and positive <3

Jane K: Love the straight/heatless hairstyles! Makes life easier cutting the step of using heat in the mornings! Video request: could you do your take on the infamous Arwen's braid from the cut scene of LOTR? I think it was what sparked the term 'warrior braid' but don't quote me. Other people have done it but they don't look quite right but I don't know why and would love to see your rendition!

Deela Smile: Love this can't wait to try the 2nd style also trying to use less heat on my hair so this is perfect

Keapix: Thank you for these! I have very curl resistant hair, so I'm looking forward to giving these a go.

Mia Schloss: I love all of these! I never use heat on my hair so lots of styles look very flat, these should work great!!

TheSingingBluebird: OMG OMG I love ALL of these so much AND they will ALSO look great on my wavy hair. Thanks Kayley, you're awesome!

Susi Langdon: Love these! I'm going to try the tiara braids today - thanks! If you're looking for ideas, wet hairstyles would be awesome!

orangedazzle: I saw a recent video of yours where you mentioned the foam conditioner and I had to try it. I love it! My hair is curly and frizzes and tangles easily, so I have to use conditioner. With cream conditioner I couldn't put it on my roots because it weighed them down and made them greasy, but if I didn't put conditioner on my roots, they were frizzy. The foam conditioner is so amazing, I can put it everywhere and it takes care of frizz and tangling without weighing my hair down or making it greasy. So, thank you for sharing this product, I probably wouldn't have found it had I not watched your video! If you are someone with curly hair, I definitely recommend this conditioner!

Kristi McG: This video speaks to me! Love every single style you showed :)

Giannah Noelle: love this! my hair is short straight and thin so it's really hard to find good tutorials

shelbypink1: Hii Kayley. I really love your videos. You've really helped me alot when it comes to my hair care. I have a couple of questions. What hair spray do you recommend that helps with frizzy hair and fly aways that isn't expensive. And how often should you get your ends trimmed to help your hair grow faster. Thank you for your time and thank you for your great videos(:

Ale: I always enjoy your videos, you are so creative! I have natural curly hair, I've a lot of hair and they're also very thick but the curls are not thight, they're more wide curls. It will be great if you realize a heatless look for my kind of hair that I can wear as wedding guest. Thanks :-*

Kezia Elim: Hi Kayley! Can you make a video on tips/hairstyles for greasy oily hair? Love your videos btw

Ann-Marie O.: I love these styles, I can actually do some of them because I’m all thumbs when braiding.

Stephanie Shearer: I really like your lighter color from last year and also this year. I have the hardest time getting my hair stylist to color my hair. They always seem to go way too dark on the top. By the time its all done an I style/braid my hair. It's way too dark brown on top. I would love to know what your colors and process is. I love how your hair has texture and depth to it when you braid it. @KayleyMelissa Im getting it done for my birthday and would love to explain exactly what I want

I have super fine, thin hair that always gets oily and I can't seem to let it grow past my shoulders without it falling flat and losing shape. I've found a lot of tips for cuts that work face types but rarely find anything for hair types. What do you suggest?

Ankita Jha: Great hairstyles! Can u please do hairstyles for extra thick hair? I have hair cuffs but they don't fit! I end up making a 1/3rd pony just so I can get the cuff tomfit around my hair.
