Diy No-Heat Waves | Fab Or Fail Hairstyles

You guys asked for it, so this week I am following up on my previous #CGHHeatlessWaves Fab or Fail review with a DIY version of the wave makers! I tried them on Paisley’s hair two weeks ago, as a #FabOrFail, and LOVED the results! Now, will they also work well as a DIY with my #hair texture?? ‍♀️

✅ Check out these wave formers on Paisley’s hair HERE: https://youtu.be/k2R_EtCkV8U

I think that my favorite thing about these #noheat wave creators is how easy they are to use! It only took me about 15 minutes to apply them all over my head, and you get the added benefit of not using any heat on your hair at all! Would you try these #heatless wavers??

Step 1: Build the stick & place the wave formers over the stick, leaving the hook of the stick exposed.

Step 2 : Dampen the hair with water (not soaking wet).

Step 3: Apply your favorite curl cream of mousse to the hair

Step 4: Take a 1 inch piece of hair, and twist it at the root.

Step 5: Take the stick and hook it around the section of hair, then pull the wave former over the hair. Continue this all over the head.

Step 6: Let the hair air dry, or sit under a dryer to speed up the process for the curls to set.

Step 7: Pull out all of the wave formers.

Step 8: Style as desired! I prefer to separate my curls and fluff them out a bit, but you can style them in whatever way works best for your hair texture!

Don’t forget to add an adorable hair accessory to really take your hairstyle to the next level!

( upbeat music, ), Hey everyone, I'm Mindy from Cute Girls, Hairstyles and today we're doing a follow up Fab or Fail on a product that I Fab or Failed two videos ago, but I did it on Paisley's hair.. If you've watched that video, you know that Paisley's hair is type 4C and my hair is type 2A.. So it's a very different hair texture and everyone was leaving comments asking me what they would look like in my hair and if they would work as well.. This is what we're testing today, you guys.. It'S called the Wave Former.. This is the Wave Former from Amazon.. If you look up Wave Former, that's owned by Curlformer, this is not what they look. Like., Theirs are actually spirals. So don't confuse the two.. I got mine on Amazon, obviously, and it comes with a pack of 24 and then this hook stick. And you pretty much just slide the hook all the way through the former. And then you latch your hair in it and you pull it out and then this shape is supposed to be what the shape of your hair comes out like after it air dries.. So the great awesome thing to this is it can be a great heatless curl. As well. So we're gon na test and see how it looks on my hair and how long it takes to et cetera., So let's get to it., Okay, you guys., So to start the hairstyle. What I did was take the packages it originally looked like this came in a pack of 24 and I separated them out.. Now, just for the record, there is no difference in the length of the orange or the pink once they're stretched out. They're exactly the same, and they are at the 20 inch length which I used on Paisley's hair. If you've watched that video, you can find it up there if you haven't, but I used these on Paisley's hair and her hair's a little shorter and they were almost too long. On mine. I think they're just gon na be perfect., So I took this stick to begin with it. It was separated into three sections and snapped it together, and then you take one of your wave formers and you slide the stick right up the hook. All the way up. The wave former - and so it looks like this when you're finished. And that's how you're gon na begin. So to prep my hair, I pulled divided it in half. I pulled one side completely out of the way and I left just one section down at the bottom end. I'm gon na take a spray bottle and I'm gon na just lightly mist. ( bottle spraying ). I don't wan na my hair soaking wet or it will just take too long to dry, so I'm just gon na mist. It then I'm taking my favorite curling cream or a mousse would work too. If you have a favorite mousse and I'm just gon na run. The curling cream through'cause. I really want the curl to adhere to my hair. And that's how I'm prepping my hair. Okay. So once I have that set, I'm gon na take a section, probably like a one-inch piece and you guys can see like my hair - has some natural curl to it.. I would say like on the hair texture scale, I'm probably a 2A., It's very, very light, but there is a little wave to my hair., So I'm gon na take it twist it at the root then take the hook, and you just hook it around. That section of hair, and then you try to pull this as tight to the scalp as you can and hold it to the scalp. While you pull. There we go hand in the way., The rest of it through. Ta-da.. So it ends up looking just like that and remember. If you watched Paisley's hair video too, we talked about how you can put them in where the curl pops out to begin with or flip it upside down to where the curl pops down, and I prefer them popping out away from the head.. It just gives it a lot more volume., So try to hit that when you're doing your curls.. So then you take the next stick and we're gon na do the same thing., So I'm gon na take another section and for me like with Paisley's hair, I was really particular about making sure I kinda did like a pretty box for her twist for mine. I'M not as worried about that'cause. My hair will naturally hide some of those part lines better than hers did.. So I'm gon na hold it like this, pull it through and voila. You have your next one. ( upbeat, music, ), Okay, so we have those three set and you can see even I with my hair, that's like maybe to here normally I still have like a good three or four inches versus by six inches on these. So you can have fairly long hair and still pull these off.. So I got plenty left: over., Okay and then I'm just gon na. Do the next section move up a little, let some more hair down and do the next section. ( upbeat music, )? Okay. So one thing I will say is this is a little trickier doing on yourself, just'cause, it's kind of hair to twist it and see what you're doing at the same time - and I don't have Paisley here helping me thread all of my little hooks. ( upbeat music ): Okay: here's where we're at you guys.! I have all of these in I kind of went back towards the back of my head on these and now I'm moving to where I'm doing it more to the side.. So you can see I'm just dividing this. In half same same steps., Twisting it making sure I get it fully hooked and then slide it down and voila. ( upbeat music, ), Hey guys, I'm on my last two.. I did a heavy part on one side and flipped these to the orange side as well. Just'Cause, I didn't want a middle part when we're all done. And you can see I've got quite a few in.. I think I'm gon na end up close to three bags when I'm all said and done, which is roughly weirdly. What I used on Paisley too so go figure. And look it just make sure you get all the hair in there., Pull it through and I think I'm done. Whoa.. Okay, you guys here's the finished look. I'll spin around. So you can see it all in its glory. Now I personally don't think I would wan na sleep on this after having them in my head. - It's like mildly heavy, but not like uncomfortably so, but I think sleeping on them would be not soft.. So I definitely I'm gon na, let them air dry. I probably will sit under a dryer just to speed it up a little., That's the plan and then we'll take them out and show you what the final product looks: like., (, upbeat, music, ). Okay, you guys I've been letting them sit and air dry. Like I said, you could put sit under a dryer if you wanted to to make it a little faster. We're gon na try taking them out now and see what they look like and I like don't even know where to begin., Maybe start in the bottom.. These really do pull put fairly easy, but it doesn't hurt to just kinda gently pull them out., It's not like they're, tugging or catching on my hair.. Let me just slowly removing.. They feel curled. (, upbeat music ). They look curled.. Let'S do some on this side. ( upbeat music ). You can see I'm not even having to like squeeze the top or anything they really do just pretty much slide off. So that's nice and easy. ( upbeat music, ), Okay, so normally I mean. Obviously, I probably wouldn't leave them like this. I would try to separate the curls more.. You can do that either by just pulling them apart by yourself with your fingers like this or another easy way to do. It is just to flip your head upside down and then kind of run, your fingers through your scalp and that loosens the curls too.. So I'm gon na go do that now., (, upbeat music, ) And that's what it looks like when the curls are a little more separated and then you can just tweak and style. As you see, fit., Okay, you guys so I kind of tousled my hair. I added a little finishing spray and I added a headband. And you can see this is the finished look. So let's do the final spin., ( upbeat, music, ), Viola., (, upbeat, music, ), I'm giggling! Here'S a funny fact for you! Guys.. Can you see this piece? I'M working with right here How it has like a noticeable length difference That is where Paisley cut her own hair, out., (, upbeat, music, ), [, Paisley ]. I feel like it's gon na be heavy. When I walk and walk around.. Do you think [ Paisley ] Yeah., So this is the finished product. Whoa. Kinda feels heavy.. Well, that's a cheery first. Check that out. Cool. -'Round she goes. Ta-da. I like it. I think It's cute.. It turned out really cute.. I will be interested to see how long I can get them to last in her hair, but I bet I can get at least a couple days out of them., But I think it's fun for a change and especially because it was a heatless curl which makes It a bonus on this natural hair., Okay, you guys so, let's a Fab or Fail scale., I'm gon na give it a two thumbs up fab.. So I think it dried really easy. It'S a great way to get curls in your hair without using heat.. It kind of reminds me of the texture of my Deep Heat 3 my triple barrel, but no heat so bonus.. I think it's great'cause. It works on seemingly all textures of hair and it's not that expensive. So there you go. Two thumbs up for me and we'll put a link in the description box to where you guys can find them where I found them on Amazon.. If you guys haven't watched our other videos, you can find them over here.. Don'T forget to subscribe to our videos, so you can see all of our other awesome hair tutorials by clicking down here and we'll see you guys next time. Bye, guys, ( upbeat music, )

Cute Girls Hairstyles: How many of you would try these No-Heat Wave Makers in your hair??? ❤️'s -Mindy

Remi Schulte: I’ve been watching this channel since I was 10 years old, i’m 20 now. I remember when Brooklyn and bailey would be the models just sitting on their countertop in the bathroom they’ve come so far and they have taught me everything I know now about hair thank you cute girls hairstyles

Karen1Nicola: You mentioned different hair "types" (4c and 2a), can you do a video all about the different hair types, as I've never heard of this classification system before and would love to know more about it.

T L: I love the fact that you respond to comments despite having over 5 million subscribers, while some people with less than 100k subscribers don't bother interacting with their followers. It shows how genuine and humble you are.

Nature Duran-Smith: i think its amazing that youre showing paisley that she's able to do things with her hair that you can do with your hair even though they are different textures. I remember going to a stylist wanting a braid and my dad told me i couldn't get it because it wasn't meant for my hair type. Being able to show your daughter that she's not excluded and she's allowed to have fun too, will for sure make her love her hair!

Grace Galvin: After Paisleys video I really wanted to do them!!

Cassie Lynn: If these were lined with silk on the inside it would be less frizzy for certain hair types. Or a fabric that both smoothies and soaks up excess water. ☺️

Anne Roehm: Thanks for trying them out on your hair! I loved them on Paisley’s hair. I wasn’t as impressed with how they performed on your hair texture. Plus, it seems so time consuming and I think there are easier ways to add wave/curl. Please do more hairstyles videos with Paisley. She brings a smile to my face and her hair always looks so cute.

Angela Newsham: After I watched your tutorial I also done my hair and I must say I’m happy with my curls. I part dryed my hair and blow dryed it, kept them in 4 hours. Definitely use them again.

Patricia Brown: Really cute! The wavy style looks good on you and Paisley. I enjoy wearing my hair straight or natural. My natural hair texture is dense, kinky, coily 4b/4c and I have a lot of shrinkage when I wash my hair. I tried these in my hair and it elongated my coily hair giving me a textured wavy look. I liked the results. Another style option for me without using chemicals in my hair. I love your channel! You are very knowledgeable about different hair textures. I would definitely let you style my hair!

Diana Tavares: I def love the way it looks on both you and Paisley's hair! It reminds me of a more voluminous and defined overnight braid curl/wave! I would totally love to try these.

Kids Hobby Lobby: Absolutely beautiful! Awesome job! Love how the curls come out.

Alexis Guerra: You truly are just so great at your job. Thank you for more knowledge than I'd ever think I'd get from a hair channel!

sounique2003: I love the way it came out on both of your hair. I used the spiral ones for my friend's daughter hair about 4 yrs ago and really liked them.

Mila Claire: I love how much thought and effort that you put in your videos! You just gained a new subscriber

Lindsay Olinde: I would have to say that these fab or fail videos really help me. I have hard to style extremely thick hair and never know what to do. Thanks you guys!

Hannah Simmons: I’m glad you also tried it on your hair too! I am terrible at using a curling iron (and I try to stay away from heat) so I’m always trying to find easier ways to give my hair nice curls/ waves :) also I literally love your family and watch kamri and the twins channel ❤️

Alli Gesner: I’m a little late but hey mindy you have a beautiful family thank you so much for sharing with us! Love y’all ❤️

Emily Pope: These are really cool. I think I would just stick to a braided wave. I braid my hair in 2 Dutch braids a little bit after the shower and let it dry and then I have pretty waves. I don’t think I would be able to get them in my hair by myself.

MrsDavis913: This is so cool. Looks amazing on Paisley’s hair too!

Mia Olivia: After watching your last video with these I ordered some! They work good in my hair, but I had to sleep in them so my hair would be done for school and they were REALLY uncomfortable to sleep on! But my hair turned out cute so it was worth it!

Pinupgirl: Cute! It looked great on paisley and I’m so glad you tried it on your hair. Looks similar to a triple barrel iron... with out the heat!

Jos.huynh 1234: i was wondering how long do the waves last? ❤️ love y'all

Nicole Sky: I think it turned out great!! Love your family

Tanishka Nath: I ❤️ waves! Thank you for doing this since my hair is totally straight! Totally gonna try!

Kaley Padgett: Love your videos! I would definitely try these!

Nadeen Hossam: The wavy hair looks beautiful on you . I am gonna give it a try. I love your channel

Adalynn Olmstead: You are so good at doing hair! Great job!!

Keely Ehret: I just realized, I started watching your channel when my oldest daughter was in 3rd grade and my youngest was in kindergarten. My oldest is now a freshman in college and my youngest is in 10th grade. I have never been able to do all.of they styles as well as you, but my girls were always complimented on their hair when they were little!!!

Jane Marsh: Yay!! I am so glad that you decided to do this video! I hope you decide to do more videos showing how to do hairstyles on yourself instead of on someone else.

Brianna Santiago: Her hair with all the waves things totally reminded me of those Betty spaghetti dolls! ❤️

SchattendragonflyPL: For me it was more visible on Paisley's hair. And she looked SO PRETTY ! For the effect that you got, Mindy, I think it would be too time consimung for me. Looks fun though ;)

Samantha Petit: Had Bailey tried them? I have shorter hair like hers so I am wondering if it would work well with short hair? Also, how long do you leave them in for? Thanks!

Pollyana Souza#: Sou brasileira e amo seu canal - love love love

Riley Kirsten: I love this!!! I’m always looking for great ways to curl my hair but never find anything. But I just found it!!!

Ivete Hinojosa: Está muy práctico y sin maltratar tu cabello

Fiza Asghar: I love these and really want to try them since my hair is very thick and I don’t want to damage it with heat

Veronica Derilus: After Paisley’s video I figured it out that was a great idea for my hair and I brought them too so nice thanks

Naomi D: How long did this take for you to put them all in? Love your videos

Lexi Stevenson: Loving your highlights! So sunflowery!

Jackie Twyford: Can you do a video explaining hair textures? And maybe include info on how your hair texture might change as you age? I used to have poker straight hair. But now I am thirty and apparently changes in my hormones have made my hair more curly!?

alorah castonguay: Should do one more video where you try different Amounts of hair in the waiver instead of 1 inch do you like 2 inches and try different sizes to see how long it takes to dry because I personally would like to use bigger chunks but I don’t know how that would end up.and love the video been watching for years ❤️

Roberta Collins: You should try doing curls with the rope from a dressing gown. It works really well x

Brittany Campbell: Looks great on you and Paisley!

Arielle G: I would LOVE if y'all did a video trying Monat's hair products! They are a relatively new hair company focused on pairing natural, pure, and safe ingredients with technology! People are raving about it and I'd love to hear yalls unbiased, professional hair opinions!

chloé: awwww this is so precious you guys are like such a cute family

Sister Approved: These are super cool, I want to try them

Martha Perez: Love it love it love it! It looks so cute . Now I want it

Maddy Woods: Can you do a video on the hair texture scale? I think that’d be really interesting, and you could show us your girls hair and tell us where they fall. Lots of love!!#powerhour

Haley Reeves: I found your channel from Brooklyn and Bailey and I cannot believe how much they both look like you!! I keep catching myself double taking because I think it’s one of them!

Julie Hoffman: Looks GREAT!!♡

Silvana Juarez: Yasss I loved this on paisley!! ❤️’s-Silvana

Anushya: Hi! Your videos are amazing!! The hairstyles are amazing!!! Hope we meet soon in Texas!!! Love you guys!!!

Rebekah: I’m so excited for this video!!! Love ya!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Kendal: I love how you did these wave makers on paisley to show even on different hair types they can still come out sooo pretty

Jennifer: Just ordered from amazon. I'm excited to try them. Thanks for sharing.

Kiara Rivera: It’s crazy how much Brooklyn and Bailey look like you. Legit your twins.

Patricia Norwood: Paisley is adorable. The wave thing works good for both of you. Looking forward to your next video. Hugs from your pal in Oklahoma

Juvenile Dilettante: I need to get heatless waves, because I hate how frizzy your gets after you put heat on it, Paisley is so cute!

Schéhérazade BOUDARD: Amaaaaazing Peaslay!!! ❤️And of course her beautiful mother too!

Addie Maine: Love this family!!❤️❤️

Noel Chacón: How many wave formers did you use in all? Also love you and have been watching for probably six years

Michele Moneywell: What curler cream did you use? How much does the product cost? This looked like way too much work for the outcome. I saw a video where six socks were used, no heat, and the outcome was great.

Frankie Isles: Great video as usualllll, love you Mindy xx

Natalya: There are way more hairstyles channels or stuff like that but for some reason I love watching your channel more❤️

Юлия Васильева: I want to see such DIY on absolutely straight hair.

Fawn Jenkins: Looks great on both you and Paisley!

chelsea Taylor: I have the curl formers in my hair as im watching this!i love these!

Live for the Weekends: This may be a silly question -but if you braid your hair and sleep with it overnight -won’t it be similar

Beatriz F: I’ve been waiting for this. Thank you ❤️

ella newton: Could you please do this with completely straight hair? My hair doesn't hold curl but for a couple hours so I'd like to see if this works on my hair type!!

Firebenderkitty3: This look is so 80s. I love it.

Gabriela Martinez: Very nice and amazing curls!

lieanne61: I Love it on Paisley's hair!

AVRIL'S LIFE: That end result would look great on Brooklyn or Bailey ❤️❤️

esf: Mindy and her girls are so gorgeous inside and outside!! Daxton and shaun are pretty cool too!!

Hannah Gordon: I really want to get these. The other day I was watching you doing it on paisleys hair and I was hoping you would do it on yours

pirkkacube: first vid of yours I saw was the previous heatless waves. glad to see you did it too haha

banton ward: Paisley’s hair looked super cute!!

MagicalMomma: I honestly think your hair looked cuter when you did the t-shirt head flip overnight curls and that was A LOT less work than this for a similar outcome.

Srishti Rao: Yayyyyy waited so long for this vid!!! You’ve done this on Paisley’s hair before too right??!!

Mariam Shah: So beautiful!!!!

S D McDaniel: I'm not going to lie... I like the look better on Paisley. But I'm glad they work for all hair types!

Claire Porter: I love the result

Mariam Shah: Can you do double Dutch braids into a fishtail please?

Emily Eola: I bought these. My hair is naturally smooth but slightly wavy. My hair is long, down to my butt, and they were wayyyyyyyy too short for my hair. I tried to double them up and it didn’t work. The wave they create is AMAZING, but yeah they don’t work for long hair :/

Dipexa Patel: Love it ❤️ gonna try on my straight hair

Margaret Lisac: Mindy, you are so pretty, and such an amazing mom!

huniebon: Love it!!!!

Isabella Pfannenbecker: How do you find out your hair type? Is there some sort of quiz? Love your videos

hmg19: Thanks for sharing, I love this look but I'm wondering if you could recommend something that you could sleep in that would achieve a similar effect?

Lauren Anderson: do you think you could use bigger pieces of hair?

MsSamanatha A: I own both styles I slept in them once not comfortable but did make great curls

Megan- Alys: I want to try these for my cousins wedding but I’m not sure if the hairstyle after will suit me

Something duo: How long does it take to do your whole head? It looks like it takes forever?

Richelle Bozzy: Beautiful!!!

Danny Targaryen: I wish someone would actually do a video after sleeping in these.

madtortuga: Great video! I love you channel❤❤

Eya Zahrouni: I love it ❤❤❤

Camy: Aww this is so cute!!!
