Hey it's jackie and welcome back to my channel for another series of summer hairstyles, this time inspired by the show outer banks on netflix. You guys have been requesting this so much, and i didn't want to do makeup because the girls are so natural, but i fell in love with kiara's, braids and buns and all of her accessories. So that is what today's video is inspired by. I am an og expert. This year and i've worked with the brand for quite a while, and one of my favorite collections that i go back to whenever it's summer i feel like is the extra strength, hydrate and repair argan oil of morocco, shampoo and conditioner. I love the blue bottle and fun fact: ogx was the first masked hair care brand to use argan oil of morocco as their primary ingredient and it's 10 years of them doing so. So if you want to celebrate the 10-year anniversary with awesome summer, hair, then just check out the link down below and try out this collection and hope you enjoy here is my natural hair. Still quarantined, hair hasn't been a haircut in a long time, so my layers at the front are definitely growing out, but something i love to do on damp and dry. Hair is to seal in the shine to my ends by using the ogx renewing argan oil of morocco. Extra penetrating oil makes my ends, look so much silkier, it's infused with argan oil and protects strands from styling heat and uv damage. This is a pearl style wand and let's create beachy curls, i'm separating the top layer and starting with the bottom section, and here's where i slightly switch up how i curl my strands. Usually, when i use a wand like this, i get a fluffy wave and i'll brush it out. Kinda early taylor, swift vibes, but my hair gets big at the end of the curling with lots of volume, and i want this to look a bit more tame. So i'm going to twist a small section of it curl the strand by wrapping the hair over and around the barrel, and when i release gently rubbing the curl to break it apart and we get more of a natural ringlet type of curl pattern. With less volume happening, curling the underside in one direction, all the way around, using this method for grouped together natural, looking curls, taking the top layer down and continuing on here, i'm starting the curls on the side with more hair a bit lower. Just following my inspiration photo and adding a couple ringlets on the top layer with very small sections to set the curls. This is the ogx shine and revitalize plus argan oil of morocco extra strength 10 in one multi-benefit hairspray. This holds the curls for light texture and soft body. We get more shine while also protecting from heat. This is optional, but i love to make the look a bit more gritty and worn in with ogx flexible plus aspen extract dry, texture spray. This can add a bit more structure than the lighter hold hairspray. I used to set the curls. This is similar to using a sea salt spray, but i find some sea salt sprays are a little too wet and i love how this is dry and doesn't distort the curls colorful chokers, and this is one of the exact bikinis worn on the show from here Pick up a small section just after the hairline and create a simple three strand braid using the ogx, flexible plus aspen extract dries texture spray, i'm spraying this onto the braid and creating a bit of a bend. So it stands out more in the hair and has more movement, easy peasy and the curls will loosen up throughout the day. So it looks more worn in next. Is my favorite style we're going to part a section right by the ear, leaving out a front? Bang like section divide, another small section from the other side as well by the ear and then pull this back with the rest of the hair. Behind the bang section. Bring this into a high pony, a tip i have with half up half down styles, you don't have to bring all of the hair back into the section, just the front portion, and then you have more flowing hair. It doesn't take away too much volume, and this also helps with too much scalp peeking through, especially with finer hair types, and to make this super beachy and texturized. I'M bringing in that dry texture spray again and make sure some of that wave and curl is picked up going into the pony. Personally, my hair does not cooperate to just fold it into a little top bun. It separates and sticks right out. So here's how i create that cute mini bun, with a small amount of hair, bring the pony up, add a mini elastic about two inches down and slightly roll. This elastic under to meet the initial pony, use two or three bobby pins: to pin the sides of the bun down and now we don't have holes in the bun it stays put and we have a lot of volume in the rest of the style. Next up, you'll need a cloth headband. You can find these on amazon, and i went with this awesome green shade, with your curls down. Add this right: over top for an added accessory for the messy bun, bring the headband around your neck and pull the hair over at the back of the headband and then reposition the headband over the forehead. I love to pinch the fabric to make it perfectly wrinkled and then, with a thick elastic gather the hair into a mid pony. This on its own would be super cute, but to complete the bun bring the elastic midway through the length of the pony fold. The elastic over so that you have a bun with the ends out, i always add, bobby pins, so that this doesn't loosen up and fall out and i love to tease the ends. I really love this style. I have sun damage on my forehead, like some freckles, so this does protect from the sun. It'S casual and cool and the headband really adds some style to the simple messy bun part: the hair, going backwards on the left and right and create a mini pony at this time higher up on the crown, use a thicker elastic and create a high pony. Again, i'm loosening up that front area for more of a boho feel and to stick this bun right up. I'M gathering the hair folding it in half, keeping it quite tight and then a pinning at the back again when i just loop, the hair within the elastic. It'S hard to get that shape with fine hair, so this is how i get the look easily with more control. I adjust the sides and even though we use bobby pins, the ends are quite curly, so it has volume and the pins aren't too obvious now on either sides a bit back from the hairline, create two simple braids, adding a couple extra curls and locking them in Once again, with the ogx shine and revitalize plus argon oil of morocco extra strength 10 in one multi-benefit hairspray, this is a great everyday hairspray and there we have it. As you guys know in all my videos, so i do a hair mask about once a week and i like to wash my hair in cold water, i have cold showers in the winter. I mean it's not in the winter in the summer, because it is so hot, it's nice to cool myself down and it definitely makes my hair appear more shiny, and this is the hydrate repair argan oil of morocco hair mask so how i use this? Oh, it smells so nice. I just apply a bit to my palms when i've already shampooed my hair leave it in the end so like wrap it in a bun shave. My legs, like give it five minutes and then, when i rinse it out, it feels really silky. So this is a holy grail. I'Ve had different hair masks in my collection for so long from ogx, and i love it when you guys that tag me.
