I purchased this dupe on ebay for $14. It came in a 12 set kit.

The original Curlfromer cost: $70~80$ - but 40 are in a set.

For my hair density, I would need 2 sets of the Curlformer or 4 packs of the Dupe.

Both too expensive for bunch of plastic hair rollers!

In this hairstyle video, I'm going to test/try out the Curlformer dupe, a heatless curlers I bought on ebay.

This is a how to curl your hair heatless overnight hair tutorial using a curling device I saw on Instagram.

Hi guys welcome back so this week I have a fun video for you because we're going to test out a hitless curl methods with the curlformer dupes from ebay, the regular curlformers cost about 70 to 80 dollars. Obviously, I'm not going to buy one to plastics for $ 78. That'S just too much! That'S just too much! Ok! So I went on eBay and about these for $ 14. I believe in ingénue, I'm Tina. So let's get started alright. So this is what the pack looks like you open this up. It has the curlformer. This looks pretty pretty tight. I think this is about 20, some inches long and it is supposed to be extra wide version, but it doesn't really look all that wide to me at a glance. I'M afraid that my hair is gon na be too tight now. So this is the tool you use to cool the hair through the curlformers with so this whole pack is supposed to be extra long and extra wide because supposed to give you softer and looser way, but it certainly doesn't look like it's going to be all that Loose you're supposed to pull this. No, that's not! That'S awesome! We'Re supposed to open this up and then put the stick inside of it like that, and then you're going to hook your hair through this hook and then pull it down to get these curls see. It looks like it's going to work perfectly so first, obviously you have to do this on damp hair and I took a shower before filming this, so my hair is slightly damp, so this is the stuff I always put in my hair for some reason this for Me seems to kill the shine, but it makes your hair so incredibly soft and silky looking if you have hair problems because it's very dry and brutal and just if you feelin, you put a drop of this on your ends when your hair is damp and when Your hair dries, you end up with really beautiful, silky soft, very butter, soft hair, this stuff very weird, but it's not going to give a shiny, so you do need to follow up with your favorite pair of glossing serum. For me, I use this one from Langstrom, because both of these are non greasy dry oil formula. Ok, so what I'm going to do now is kind of dance in it, since my hair tends to drive fast and then I'm going to help this through. I get this wrong. We are supposed to put the hook through the opening of this thing first and hook it through ok and then I'm supposed to pull this, oh, no! No! I can do it and I'm going to pull it down into okay now, so I'm going to smaller section, which means I don't have enough: rollers. Okay! So obviously I'm not doing this right, because I'm literally ripping out my hair here. So I don't punch a few more of its own right back, oh god is it will take forever. So I have to take really small sections from now on. We make sure curlformer facing upwards, so you put the hook, make sure it's facing upwards and then you're supposed to know. Okay, I worked okay, we did it that only took us point. It was it again and I'm going to use a pink one this time. For this next chord view make sure you keep beating upward by going please, I would start to see how small these fictions are. Flexi rod is a lot easier and simpler than this maybe see if you're taking tiny sections your hair doesn't seem to get pulled as much but, as I said, it's not like a long time to put it. I definitely won't have enough rulers here to do my head, so I might just do a section of my head. Okay, so I ran out of the rollers. Unfortunately, I can already tell you I won't be doing this again, because I think it's very damaging to your hair, if you're doing it on damp hair, because when your hair is damp, it's very fragile. You can literally whip your hair part because it's just it's like rubber and you're, getting it through you're stretching your hair every time, so it's as damaging and curling iron. So what is the point? I don't recommend it. I'M sorry guys, but we'll see what happens. Okay good morning, so it's been about 18 plus hours since I put these in and I got ta tell you guys if it was rough, so I did end up removing one of the rollers, while sleeping because I was just really frustrated. I'M going to pin this up, so you guys to see these curls better, so here's a curl I took out all the sleeping. Obviously these curls will last, if you guys decide to try these out or so. Let me just remove the rest, because some people are really into this list and do look beautiful wearing these curls. I'M going to get closely guys to see this okay and we're done. Let me know down below, if you guys like this kind of videos, if you have any other suggestions, be sure to thumbs up, subscribe and I'll, see you guys again next Saturday, bye, guys

Veronica T: Can you try the sleep stylers that were on shark tank please?

Tanza Nite: How many times did you try pulling the same section through before you figured out the section was too big?

TahmNong: These are my favorite hair curler~ I use them regularly. I have textured Caribbean hair and these keep my curls smooth and intact, and it does last a long time~ You're supposed to open the top of it when you take them out, not just rip it out of your hair with it closed haha, your curls will come out much better that way.

Jim and Jenn Lyons: I loved this video. You are too funny and I just had to laugh when I saw how tight the curls were the next morning. You are a gem for going through all that torture for us! Thanks for the review!

MaryAnn Rossetti: I love the way the curls came out. My concern is are they comfortable to sleep in?

Vaishnavi SuperB: Love your videos a lot! You are my actual hair styling guru ...trust me. Regularly following u since 2 years and love you a lot !

Carole Kelly Pearce: Tina, you are so funny! I love your videos. Thanks for trying out some pretty weird stuff. As for me, I think I will stick with my hot rollers!

Yvette Charbonneau: You really crack me up I love how you left the mess up part because it shows the real truth of how complicated these things can be. The only thing I saw different from another video in your video is that she Twisted the hair a few times to keep it together then put the hook on it. I'm giving this a try today LOL

Lacey Spaulding: You are such a trooper! I love your videos; they are so fun and easy to follow. However, I don't think I can bring myself to try this one lol

Lucy Moua: This is the funniest hair tutorial I've seen, haha. Love how honest u r

Sylar (Gabriel Grey): I have had these for about a year and once you get used to the motion of pulling them through it is not so bad. I have not had any damage such as my hair breaking or stretching. In fact my stylist has commented on how much healthier my hair has been since I stopped using a curling iron. I also found that if you put them about an inch from your scalp they are easier to sleep in.

Mji X: Tina, I just adore you! This video made me laugh!! Also, I LOVE your necklace!

Dining Raeshel: Those very curly curls look great! ♡

Aleshanee Nikita: If you mist and gel your hair slightly and use super tiny sections, it works great. After you take the former out, hold the curl and hairspray it, then let it fall. Right before you pull your hair into it, comb it all the way through.

Robin Dedmon: This actually helped. I thought about trying these, but your video looks like the real thing. Obviously, everyone else was getting paid to make them look like they work well. My hair would do exactly what yours did....

lisa F: I am glad it wasn't just me, I had a very hard time getting these in without ripping my hair out. They seem like way too much work. I don't think these are something I will be using very often.

robin pinkham: lol! Really enjoyed the video.Laughed my head off! Your hair did look great though. I would have done it dry, then sprayed with water after the curlers were in.

Makenna Horne: I got these the other day and boy, are these stressful! I definitely yanked out some hair.... even with small pieces! You got the hang of it faster than me! It took me an hour just to do 12 pieces!

o0WarmBreeze0o: Please get more of these dupes and give them a new try. I really want to see your whole head with dupes. I already bought a dozen of them nevertheless haven't even opened the bag Thanks in advance gorgeous

Sabina Hertzum: I actually use these on occasion to do a loose wavy perm on one of my clients - we had tried everything but these just did just the right kind of wave and volume that she wanted.... and when I once in a while use them on my self, i combine them with other types of curlers, like flexirods and homemade foamrollers... i like curls that are very different and in no way uniform, and that works for me

BEHNUZ: i have this and it works so well for me

K K: Love ur hair tutorials! Can't stop obsessing over your eye makeup! Will you do a video on that? Pretty pretty please

raegan armstrong: curlformers are not supposed to give u loose waves. they are made for tight tight spiral curls, which many cheerleaders use for comps. i have used these for forever for cheer.

Have a magical day: I have tried it before and it was a disaster, it involved cursing and crying it was one of my worst experiences with a product ever ahahah except with pantene too which made my hair feel really great at first but ended up with more hairfall and it never got clean at the end (almost like washing your hair with only conditioner for a month). I would not recommend it ever, I have tried Aveda shampoo and conditioner or what it was called (you used it in several videos before I think) and I decieded to buy it and they work great on my hair I dye my roots every second month (root touchup) and have ombre on my ends. My hair fades from dark brown to grey at the ends (I tone my hair with purple shampoo) and I really like how it looks like and with your tips I have been able to maintain it so healthy❤️ thanks alot, love you and your videos❤️

hypsens88: I think I'll try this. Wet setting (starting with damp hair) gives me longer lasting curls than with heat setting (using heat tools). I just don't know if long hair will work. Wish me luck!

Deanne Labayen: I got some of these from Tophatter and Wish. I didn't realize they came in different sizes until they arrived. I have hair to my waist and so does my granddaughter (the only other girl in our house). 18 is not enough to do a whole head. Since we had shorter ones, I used 2 on the strands, and that worked well. Her hair turned out amazing! I love these! I found the 18pc long set on Wish for $11. I ordered two sets of those. Sally Beauty is charging $75 for a 40pc set!!! Amazon is too. The Wish ones work just fine. Thanks for trying these, Tina. I know you don't like the tighter curls, but I do. My hair is already beachy waves in its natural state. Lol

Kittinlily W: The optimum conditions are damp small well combed sections, some times using a sleek and or shine serum can make the hair slip threw the sleeve more smoothly. too large a section causes pulling, not coming the section smooth will cause pulling. It takes some patience to get the hang of it at first but once you get your technique down it is easy.

l av: This video was hysterical!! You were so patient. I would have given up after ten minutes.

Dr Betty Schueler: You just saved me from wasting money on these curlers. I thought they would be hard on my hair so I've put off buying them. Fortunately, I learned how to make the curls just using strips of cloth which don't damage my hair.

Vanda Welfing: I think the finished curls were beautiful!

Neethu Shaji: Hey Tina❤️ this video is overloaded with cuteness ❤️❤️❤️

A Ramirez: She needs to watch tutorial videos to make this tutorial video

Finelife: You are so patient and positive. I would go crazy after the first 5 minutes

Organic Hacks: Can you please make a video about how to get our original waves back after getting a keratin/ straightening treatment done. Also, I know this channel is about hair and beauty but I would love to see your fitness routine and a "Get to know me" kind of a video. lots if love!

Laurie Capron: I've always wondered if it was worth it. Bless your soul for giving it a shot! I sure won't go through all that for curls!! plus, they are way too tight!

Organic Hacks: So happy to see you! Beautiful as always! You are so funny i love you Tina

Aryana Taylor: my mom did this on me and it came out perfectly and then when i had to do this for picthchure day when she was at work i couldnt do it i was struggling for hours and my hair kept ripping out

private private: Thanks for the realistic review. I can imagine my hair snapping off at the roots

Princess Azula: hi tina, we want to see makeup tutorials on your channel! love you!!!

Mano Cute: thankyou soo much for this video.. I also bought it today and went through from all these obstacles that you mentioned hahahha wow same to same...

Anam Shaik: Ur awesome ,we wanted to buy so you definitely helped us out...

Let's Go Brandon!: Wow, it looks like it's WAY more trouble than it's worth. I'll just stick with my good 'ol trusty curling iron!

Stefany: I freaking love her! The sound effects omg I was cracking up

Sonja D: glad to know I wasn’t alone with these... had user errors ... I had to wet my hair completely and purchase extra strips... then.... everything weighed more than I anticipated but figured I would be sleeping so it wouldn’t really hurt... it the morning the weight of the top ones made my scalp tender i don’t think they are a total waste...I might use them for an over night bottom partial... mine were a bit frizzy compared to my roller set and dryer process I’m use to doing... I liked how your curls turned out

Butt Kraken: I have beyond fried, frizzy hair and these with setting lotion are the easiest and quickest curlers.

Daniela V.: Hey Tina.....I love your videos and I found this demonstration really funny . I agree with you that this kind of lure is certainly not healthy for your hair .... there are better methods.! Look forward to your next videos.,..Love it....

Maggie Santos: Ohhhhh Tina, you poor woman! What you go through just to test this stuff for us!! That looked so painful - I didn't know if I should laugh or just cringe OMG. You're a brave woman, I can tell you that ;) I didn't like the curls, tho. Way too tight for my taste. Lotsaluv from sunny Portugal xoxoxoxo

Kris Streck: This vid was helpful for me in deciding whether to try Curlformers. I think I _may_ try the cheaper Ebay version for my Steampunk cosplay in the future, but my fine hair may be too fragile. Btw, if anyone seeing this wants pics of authentic Victorian clothes for their own cosplay, check out my Pinterest: Verily Victorian, under my SCA persona, Gillian Castleton. Pics are from museums, private auctions of actual antique gowns, and period fashion plates.

Kate Raynolds: I tried those--the real ones that were expensive as...--and used them one time. They did curl my pin straight hair, but it just damaged the fire out of it. Lots of breakage. So not worth it. Shame, too, because the curls look great.

Liz Sanchez: Use the jumbo rollers that Lilith Moon recommends on her YouTube channel. They work better and less damaging.

Shadima Lpz: Another person must do it to you. It is very difficult to do it yourself, especially in the back parts of the head, where one can not see. And yes, it is true that it damages the hair a lot. But I think the loop with all that heat, it hurts a lot more.

Declan Parkes: I think you’re great but I have used these before and they’re much easier than what you made them look x

diana Bonilla: I would love to see you try flexi rods on your hair and loved your video

Suki Tang: love your makeup look, can you do makeup tutorials too?

Calligrapaint: I really love your videos!!

UltraSussyBaka: I use them every night...you're putting too much hair in a single curler and you're taking them out wrong. They are painless and make bomb ass curls when done correctly haha don't give up.

Voluptuous Von: The curls are beautiful, you just need to work on to our technique and buy 3 more packs if curlers

Kieran Willis: It looks gorgeous shame you didn't do full hair, it could've looked very 80's

Arisha Khan: I suggest everyone to use Curlformers on dry hair and after you’re done putting just spray water and damp them.. Sleep and In the morning you’ll have super curly hair. One thing I don’t like about this product is that it’s so diff to sleep with them.

Tami Krebs: That was fun and funny. Thanks Tina!

Sandra Gerberding: You have to make the opening from the rod upwards and thread the hair from above, then your hair won't break and you won't tear any hair out. Just as a tip. :) Have a look at a YouTube video. ;)

Brooke: I LOVE your personality❤️❤️

small footprint: I saw these used for a beachy perm, just before I watched this. I just kept yelling, "You're using too much hair," Finally you got it... So much work, but beautiful... Yes, a little tight, but maybe left in too long. I notice that when I twist my hair, while it's still a little damp, and clip it at the end, it will stay that way for a while. I'm probably not patient enough to do this. There was a time, when I'd sit and set my hair perfectly, sleep on the hard rollers, and tease and spray the next day, and it was so cute and worth it. Today, I want the beachy waves, but, not so sure I'm willing to work for them. Thanks for the video.

Anjum Sayyad: I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS❤ your necklace is super cute

Jillian Renee: This is exactly what happened to me. I gave up too fast and just decided not to use my wonderful kit. Sorry Curlformers. :(

Angela O'brien: I couldn't see the start as I laughed to much but the curls at the end were lovely

Lee Blakely: Loved this TEST. Just saved me a bunch of money, thanks

Savannah Moreno: This works GREAT for me

someoneanonymous: I remember trying these back when I was 18. They were so painful lol.

Ch Sattar: and the way you have done ur makeup that is also very pretty.....i sugest u to make makeup tutorials too

shahad basil: I love it ♡

isis fernandez: Omg... this was too funny ... I love it!!!

Lulu A: Can you do a makeup tutorial ? , love your videos ❤️❤️( like if u want Tina to do it )

Jenica Lyra: You are so funny in every cute way!!

Lorena Pehar: Can you please try Split Ender? I would like want to know if it's really working ☺️

Tanya Kabeer: I couldn't stop laughing I'm never going to try it

Gina Judd: Buy another pack and do your whole head, it looks cute!

Marine Ratel: I love your Necklace ! It is so cool, could you please tell me where is it come from ? Thanks

Dizzylemon: I laughed so much! different shapes on the same side. That was funny

TharaniMa: definitely wanna try that lol

Art Design Hobby: HHAHA I did it exactly the same way with the same result

sharu mathy: Super cool and thanks for making me to laugh out

AM LEYESA PAF: it doesnt hurt my sisters hair or damage her hair cause her hair is so smooth hahahaha

Arya r r: that was truly very funny... the best thing is the honest reviews with demo... i alwys lov to try out ur hairstyles coz my hair is as wavy nd layered as urs... plz keep doin more videos..nd hairstyles

Kathy Hue: Well obviously it does give a lasting curl, but it's not worth damaging your hair. So for me it's a no go.

Kelly Passuello: Hi from Brazil!! I loooveeee your videos!!

Kyra p4: Wao! Those curls are beautiful!

Dr.Varsha Scooby: Very funny thanks for sharing your experience

naydene coronado-diaz: hey Tina...let me start off with I love watching your videos and I think you're just the cutest and most gorgeous you tuber out here. However...I was just wondering about the beautiful necklace you have on... girl I must know where you got that from? much love to you and your channel... love ya, Naydene. xoxo

MaryAnn Rossetti: What can I put in my hair to make it shiny without being greases? That is all natural? Thank You

Rakesh Prasad Semwal: Tina please make hairstyle for curly hairs please....... I m requesting u . and your video is too good and u r looking awesome

kaaaitlinnxo: Can you try the sleep styler? It was on shark tank a few months back.

Natascha Müller: Can you test the BaByliss Curler please?

Patricia Schat: That's just how mine went, I lost a lot of hair!

Nikita Shah: please do your skin care routine and also makeup tutorials

missdotsilly: LMAO I did the same thing with these. but on my daughter, poor thing!

Annastasia Lea: This is how I feel when I do my hair smh

Caydie Orr: Your hair is far to dry so the resistance is stopping it from going in causing pain and pulling so if it is dry when you put it in it will be more tangled when you take it out

Sylura Lindsay: I use and love them and I recommend them for a the women who are natural.

FaithFul Lee: Hey check out naptural85 for tips on how to install curlformers. It'll help stop the ripping and cut down time
