Braided Top Knot | Heatless Hairstyles

What is up guys welcome to my channel? My name is Kelly and today I'm getting ready for work, and I'm just going to do a really quick, braided, bun top knot thing, and I wanted to show you guys how to get it. So first we're just going to take all our hair down and all you're going to need for this is one hair tie bobby pins. I typically use like eight of them. I know it's sad that I know that, but eight hairspray and a brush like a good brush and then to have a smoothing one that really helps to sorry if you can seal the hair on. So what I'm going to do. First, is I'm just going to put my head over and then just brush it all upwards or some just making sure I don't have any knots cause. That'S a pain in the butt. So first we're just going to flip our head up and get this kind of situated on top of our head. So then let me do that. Okay, so we're going to position it around there, but before we tie it up, I need to hairspray around the base because frizzy flyways, so now I'm going to take my smoothing brush and just brush those all up into the ponytail I just created. I know it's kind of self-explanatory, but okay, and once that's done, I'm going to find where I want my bun to basically sit - and I usually like it just above the crown so like we're going to have that flat region of your skull kind of like right. On the top of that, so I'm just going to tie my hair tie around and then pull it nice and right. So we're going to go from. Is I'm going to divide this into two sections? So, just like this right in half and the first section I take I'm going to spin it around and then wrap it up under that other half and keep twirling it around until we get it facing back around the pony. Now your bobby pin. So I like to bobby, pin into the hair, obviously, and just make sure you bob, even it enough like enough times so that it's secure so you're left with this little dinky button and this section. So what you're going to do is you're just going to do a plain old braid. So of course divide that into three pieces and then just braid it it can be loose. It could be really tight. Whatever you want you're just going to make a quick little braid out of it, and then you might have some ends left out, but that's fine and what I like to do is figure out which way I want to twist it. So I think, probably not that way, picking this down, I'm going to go this way. Twirl your ends, so that they're not sticking out everywhere and then pin that just like you did with the other half and you can use as many as you need. You guys have layers, it's probably a lot easier to do this with your natural texture. I avoid doing this with my hair flat iron, because I have little pokey pieces that stick out everywhere and it's just it's a mess, so I would say curled or natural texture. Hair is probably best to create this bun with, and then I have this wonky piece right here. So I'm also just going to kind of tip that down and pin it against the base. You probably will not have that wonky piece, but I do today and I'm just going to pin the other part of it down as well. So that is pretty much going to be your little braided top knot. It doesn't look braided kind of sometimes it does. Sometimes it doesn't, but it just looks really textured and cool. So once you're done just spray it it's a good day. I had it all day, okay guys, so that is literally it a braided messy top knot. It was done with no heat, so that's super important and it's perfect. For the summer, all Geneva's a hair tie bobby pins, hairspray and a brush. So it's really easy super simple, quick. I got that done in like seven minutes, because I'm showing you guys how to do it, otherwise I would have it done in like three to five so easy. So it's cute, I like it. I love top knots. I love that it's created, so it has some texture to it. It doesn't look like a perfectly like ballerina bun.
