Testing Viral Overnight Heatless Curls! Wow

Testing Viral Overnight Heatless Curls! WOW

This overnight heatless curls method using a bathrobe belt has been all over social media in the past month or two, especially on Tic Toc. I saw this technique from @Laineymariebeauty several months back on Instagram and was so intrigued to see how this overnight heatless curls technique would work on shorter hair. Have you tried this heatless curls or waves method on your hair? How did it work out?

Love, Milabu

Are you guys seeing this Hello, my lovelies And welcome back to another video.? You are joining me late at night, because tonight I wan na test out an overnight heatless curls method.. This has been going very viral, but I saw a girl that I follow on Instagram. She did a tutorial several months. I think it was several months ago, But this is where I say this method, this technique, It's from Lainey Marie beauty.. I will tag her down below for you guys.. She is beautiful. She has a little baby, boy. He's adorable.. So, let's get into it., What you need is a robe belt, I'm just using this one right, here., You need a hairbrush and then you need some water or a sink All right. Let'S try it out see what happens and then we'll see in the morning. What kind of results we have.? Let'S begin. [ Sprays, Hairbush ], Just gon na wet my hairbrush., So many of you ask about this bottle. I just got it off of ooh almost hit myself. I got it off of Amazon for those that are wondering.. Should I just soak my hair is that what you're saying Andrey ``, Not soak it., You might as well just put it on your hair., It's so much easier.'' Yeah.. I think this is the perfect time to really test out heatless curls. You know ( Giggles ) cause if they don't work, just throw it up in a bun and nobody has to see you. [ Sprays, Hair ]. Alright, I would say this is slightly damp., We'll split it right in this middle in the back. Looks good. Andrey's saying it looks good, I'm happy with that. Then I'm a take my belt and I'm just gon na place it right here right in the front.. I'M kind of she kind of did this. She kind of, I would say, an inch to two inches away, and then she took one side and she just tied it off, so it doesn't get in the way pretty much and with the belt.. So essentially, what we're going to do is a twist using this as like. The second section of your hair. Instead of hair you're gon na use the belt as the section which is really really fascinating.. So she grabbed like a good inch in the front and then she brought it over the belt under the belt. Just make sure I kind of wan na clean this okay and then she started grabbing a section with the first section., Okay, [ Brushes, Hair ]. Then you do the same thing you bring that section over the belt like so and then you bring it under and she said, keep it nice and tight, and then you just grab another section to that first section. That makes sense right. It'S literally the same thing. You would do as a twist, but this would be another section of hair instead of the hair you're using this as a belt., So we're gon na do the same thing. Gon na bring it over and then under the belt and then grabbing another section.. So I'm not really understanding how the back of the hair is going to get incorporated. That'S the one thing: you're gon na get really beautiful waves right here in the front and the side, but how is the back of the head going to get really beautiful waves? You know what I mean, I guess we'll see because you can see like none of this hair is getting incorporated. Maybe go backwards., That's what I'm thinking I'm going to have to go kind of [ Clicks Tongue, ] backwards and going to have to get really big sections of hair.. Looks good Awesome couldn't really see, and then I'm just gon na twist as much as I can. All the way down and some of the hair is kind of falling out, but you know what we're just gon na: let it do it's thing. I'm trying to keep it nice and tight.. Can you actually help me with this, so I don't lose it (, Giggles ) cause! This thing is just so long. Can you just loop? It through. This right here. No, no! This right here, just loop, it through ( Giggles ) thank you.. Alright got one. Ow. My finger ( Giggles ): did you get it or no. Look at that., Ow., (, Giggles )? Thank you okay. And then she pretty much kind of just took this underneath.. Well, her hair was so much longer, but I'm a do the same. Thing. I'm gon na. Actually, just tie this all up like this., That's pretty good right. It feels really tight. So I feel like I'm literally pulling hair out ( Laughs, ) Babe. How am I gon na sleep tonight? I'M a side sleeper with my pregnancy pillow, We'll see.. I didn't think about this., So I'm a do this same thing. Over first and then under just like that. Gon na brush this out and then grab a section. It'S going to be over under just like that., I'm gon na start grabbing sections from the back to the front.. This might be a huge fail, or it's gon na be the most beautiful thing ever cause. Usually, if it's shorter hair, it doesn't look as great. Grabbing hair to this and then from the back. Into one big section gon na twist gon na bring it over under keeping it nice and tight. Alright honey. I need your help. Again. Okay. Got it., I'm just gon na keep it nice and tight.. I'M not gon na. Do the twice thing cause it's kind of really tight. It'S kind of pulling my hair in the back. Looks good I'll, see all of you tomorrow morning with a fresh face, and hopefully some beautiful, beautiful, heatless curls / waves. Good morning I am back, and today we're gon na take out the curls well right, now.. So what happened last night, as we can see kind of got a little, I wouldn't say rough, but to be completely honest, it was not comfortable to sleep in this. I personally did not like it. I just don't like anything extra in my hair. Besides a tiny little hair tie, if I need to put my hair out of my face, but usually it's pretty good, but last night I had to take out the second. What would you call that little scrunchie and I just made a big one in the back kind of combine the two together. Personally for me, I'm not gon na do this overnight again, just because I'd, rather just do it during the day and accelerate the process with, Like the bonnet, the hair, dryer bonnet just accelerate that process, but we'll see what we got right.. I think you need to help me get rid of this cause. I can't really see up here. Andrey's gon na help me cut off the clear elastics.. Let'S just not cut off the hair though.; Okay; no, no, don't unwind it! No! No one more one! More one! More.! Oh! You want me to do it all Okay. Of course.. Are we ready for this reveal. Yeah. Okay.? Here'S one.! Here'S a second one., Let's see., I'm feeling something very tight and seeing something quite tight Ooh. That did good. Are you guys seeing this ( Giggles )? Are you guys seeing this. Whoa.? Definitely curled., It definitely curled and it did a pretty good job. Look how bouncy they are.. It definitely did a much tighter of a curl on my left side just because we kind of saw the way it kind of wrapped around, and I think if you need to go back in fix some curls up. Go with like a curling iron flat iron, which ever. I'm a just, take these curls apart a little bit but yeah in the back. Let'S look at what happened in the back of the head cause. I can't really see. ( Giggles ). The curls are a little bit lower, obviously, as you think you would've. Of course, of course, okay wow., I think the ugliest ugliest curls are the ones that were wrapped around towards the bottom and they were ( smacks lips ) with the clear elastic that's were it Created those really ugly crinkles, as you can see right there.. So if you were to fix that or if I were to fix that, I would just go in with kind of like a straightener straighten the ends a little bit kind of give it a nice little bend, but I'm not gon na do that. I really want to see how this how this hairstyle or this heatless curl method, is going loosen as the day goes. On.. Alright, I'm just gon na take my hands and really just kind of just get in there.. That'S a lot of volume and the curls are beautiful. What do we think.? I'M not even gon na, add anything into this hair just because I really want to see how it is going to fall out how it is going to wear throughout the day.. It is a little bit frizzy, but then again you can just very easily apply some kind of product to smooth out the frizz smooth out the curls, and the one really positive thing that I like about this method is the curls and the hair is bouncy. It doesn't feel dry, it doesn't feel with a lot of heatless curls, especially overnight. If you use these specific type of techniques, specific type of tools that help create those heatless curls, they create extra amount of frizz they're, not consistent. They just don't look nice overall, but this I'm actually really impressed with how my hair is behaving. Babe. What do you think Looks pretty good Yeah. Looks really good actually. If you've tried this method. What do you guys think of it? How long is your hair? How short is your hair? What kind of hair type do you have? How long did it last on you, and let me know if you are going to try this. All you need is a little rope belt and some this. What are these called Scrunchies or hair ties and a brush to brush your hair out? That'S it.! Yes, please share your photos down below.. This is really cool.. I think my favorite part is, I parted it in the center and then I can go to the side and I can get all of this volume and the curls still look very beautiful and just the overall look, I think, is very, very well Very well.. It'S very very good for an overnight heatless, curl method, and this is I'm just gon na be you know, even though it doesn't it's not the most comfortable to sleep with it's just because it's my personal preference, but I don't think it's not that bad., But I Would say definitely give this a try. Don'T let my comment scare you from trying these overnight. It'S really not that bad, I'm pregnant right. Now I wake up a lot. I'M trying to get comfortable in bed. This just wasn't helping to be really comfy in bed. That'S the only thing, but it's not bad. It'S yeah! It'S not bad! You guys! It'S not bad overnight. A lot of people will say the same thing, but yes, I think very easy.. Thank you, Lainey for doing a tutorial. I really appreciate it and I think the results are beautiful, even on shorter hair., I'm impressed, I want to see if you have even shorter hair than I do how it looks on your hair.. Okay, I did wan na do a very quick little update at the very end of the day, To show you guys how the curls fell out, As you can see towards the very back. A lot of the curl is now more of a wave.. I wish it wasn't as frizzy like the results from the beginning, But a lot of that does have to with the the type of products I'm gon na put in my hair. All of that good stuff, you know Putting maybe a really nice mousse. That has a little bit of extra hold, Putting some kinda of smoothing serum into my hair. So I'm thinking You know, I'm really curious ... testing this out in the future. What other steps I'm going to take or take away if that makes sense, So I think definitely I'm gon na try this again and please, let me know your results Like I said: if you've done this before what kind of hair do you have? What hair length do you have and what did you do to get the best results? So please share your photos with all of us. We would love it, But for now you guys thank you so much for watching spending time with me And I'll see you in the next video very soon Bye, ( Blows kiss )

Michelle Caudill: This is a new twist on what those of us born in the 50’s would do called rag curls. Yes this started during the depression when money was tight. Yes even the finest straightest hair like mine would curl like Shirley temple and last all day. This is how my grandma curled my hair for picture day

Sienna Bell: For girls with thick hair who don't get flawless results: our hair isn't meant for heatless styles that include water. Since our hair is thick and being compressed with twists and braids, your hair will take FOREVER to dry and when you think that it's time to un-twist your hair, chances are that it'll still be a bit damp and your hair will get poofy and frizzy once it completely dries after undoing your twists/braids. So from someone with thick hair who has tried SEVERAL heatless methods, I have found that damping your hair with gel does wonder! it keeps your curls in place and your hair won't get poofy or frizzy. I use the Suave max hold sculpting gel 8. it's cheap, non-sticky, fast drying and alcohol-free! btw it doesn't leave your hair feeling crunchy or stiff.. depending on how much you use of course. Really hope this helps someone :)

Savannah Graves: I think its so adorable her husband helps her and films for her too, they are so wholesome

Hayley P.: I wasn’t convinced and then you side parted it and WOW! Looks so good!

1380beagle: I just tried this on my daughter for picture day. After it was sitting for an hour, I realized I twisted the wrong way. ‍♀️here’s hoping it still turns out ok. **UPDATE** they still worked!

Alisha Vial: This is definitely the best review of this method I’ve seen, especially on short hair. Love that you thought about the back of your head while you were doing it, instead of just curling in the front and then complaining about the back like a few people I’ve seen. Also liked that you didn’t go in with heat but actually fluffed them and made it work without fixing it with heat straight away, I haven’t seen anyone do that but it actually looked so good once you fluffed it out like that and didn’t even need heat! And thank you for the end of day update too.

W Lucero: I've been doing this for a while. My hair is medium length, straight and fine. My hair doesn't usually hold a curl for more than an hour, but this wave will stay in my hair for two days. I double the belt for bigger curls/waves and wrap my damp hair around and secure overnight (not the most comfortable). In the morning I get an amazing beachy wave and I love it.

Teresa Le: I tried this last night. I was REALLY REALLY happy with the results. I have a side part, and it was difficult for me to wrap my hair around the robe chord on my deep side, but this was overall the best method for heatless curls overnight. For years i've used pigtail braids, french braids and dutch braids. but my hair was always wavy and messy. This hairstyle works the best on both short and long hair. I've seen a lot of reviews on this method and a lot of girls were very impressed/satisfied with their results. I would definitely recommend using this technique!

Caitlyn Kothe: This is the only way I’ve done my hair for the past month!! It’s amazing, I’m obsessed, and I’m sticking to it! I have long naturally wavy/frizzy hair and this looks amazing on it! I wash my hair about 2x a week and while it’s still pretty wet (more than damp), I add it’s a 10 serum to my ends and Paul Mitchell thicken up styling liquid to my roots. I do the robe tie twist method a little differently. For my very back sections on both side, I twist the alternating direction at the end. And after tying the ends, I leave the two twists falling straight down. I tried the side bun thingy to keep it out of the way at night and it made my curls deformed. So I sleep with them hanging down like pigtails and find it much more comfortable than tying them up also - I’m a side sleeper as well. In the morning, I take it all out, brush through them with my fingers or brush, apply hairspray as needed, and go on about my day! These curls do settle down to more waves after 3 or so days, but I still love the look on my long hair. And that’s it. I use no heat at all and wash my hair only 2x a week now and it’s grown so much since starting!!

Therese Thalseth Kvande: Seriously this is just amazing. I ran into the shower to wet my hair and try this seconds after I watched this on Facebook. And I have never had so many compliments on my hair ever! My hair is long, vawy/curly and dry and kind of thin and this made it so voluminous and big. You look amazing and thanks for sharing! Also I added a bit of curl gel after to help with the frizz.

Carmen Grace B: Just a tip - to get the hair more curly at the back, you add sections from the back AND The front as you are twisting around the rope, so the back pieces get incorporated into it xx

Kelsey Rhodes: Definitely trying this tonight! I swear by just doing 2 rope braids before bed, and that gives me a nice beachy wave. This is beautiful, and not much different than what I already do. Thank you!

Sarah Martin: Hello, everyone!!! I would first like to comment that I was an Irish dancer growing up. So, this is a lot more comfortable, than sleeping in the plastic curlers that I did. And, just so you know, I was not part of the wig phase. We used to curl our hair naturally. I blame Michael Flatley for this... When I first found out that this method existed, just about three months ago, I was so ecstatic. The beautiful thing, about my hair, is that it takes curls amazingly well. I just don't like using a curler. My hair isn't damaged and I want to keep it that way. So, I have shoulder length hair right now and it is pretty fine, and I would suggest, using a bandana. So you don't have to buy a robe to get the rope with it. Only use the bathrobe if you have seriously long hair. And, since I have done this about six times now, at the end of the bandana, there isn't much left. So place the little bit of bandana over your hair, when you twist it, and then put it in a hair tie or scrunchie. I prefer just a hair tie. I don't like the scrunchy feeling. As for product, I sometimes, spray some hairspray, after both buns are made. But, you absolutely have to, damp your hair, to keep it curly all day. I also I have a subscription to Ipsy and I recently got a leave-in conditioner. What I do is spray a small amount in my hand, first, and then scrunch up my hair, and it instantly, becomes frizz-free. So that is something that worked for me. I hope this is helpful and I am so glad, Milabu, you did this!!! You looked beautiful and it just takes a couple of times to figure it out. And, if you do want to do this in the morning, keep it in for at least 5 to 8 hours. Even two hours, my hair is completely curled.

carly gaeth: I’m always in the market for different ways to save my hair from heat— I’ll definitely have to try this! The curls came out super cute! With a little hair oil and a touch of hairspray you might be able to tame some of the frizz. Thanks for trying this out for us short-haired ladies :)

Trina Dubya: It's been ten months after my pixie haircut, thanks to the pandemic. I can color my hair myself (though I'd much rather not), but I can't cut it, so your channel is a godsend. Thanks for all the hairstyle and product videos so I can do something with my hair in this awful, in-between stage.

Lia Lucas: I'm sitting here realizing I've been watching your videos for almost 4 years now. I donated my hair in 2016 and you totally gave me more confidence in doing being able to go through with it. You had almost white hair then haha but I loved watching your tutorials with a bunch of styles in one video. Love you girl!

Kane_26: I love how you would always do a quick preview/ update at the end of the day to show us how they fell out. Thanks this way we have a better idea !

jazzyofficial: Just did this on my above the shoulder hair but with tube socks lol wow you look even more beautiful with curls loved it

Radley Rayne: Absolutely beautiful curls on you! Loved how they fell out too. I’ve got super thick waist length straight layered hair. Think I’ll try this of a morning instead of overnight too as I’m a side sleeper & would struggle to sleep with the robe belt in my hair. Love your results. Also love Andrey’s blue shirt x

Tamara Morton: Let's just face it; you have a magical touch when it comes to hair. I have tried this before and the results were so so for me. I am going to get a bonnet hair dryer so I don't have to sleep with these uncomfortable situations. I remember being so happy when blowdryers became prevalent because I hated the bonnets but they have their place.

Linda G: I LOVE how this turned out! Looks gorgeous!!! Im definitely going to try this method!! Thanks for sharing this with us!!

Bridget Chapman: I did it last night and it worked like a dream! Very happy with my curls! Thank you again! Sending you love and gratitude! ❤️

Jesus Quijano: I love how easy you make it look your channel inspires me do better and grow more. Thank you!

Penny Tull: People that know you, must think you spent hours on your hair at the salon for this look. Your hair looks absolutely marvelous with this large wave curl in it.

Laney Holcombe: I did this last night and it worked really well! I usually have a hard time with heatless curls, but this was awesome. I have medium length, thick hair for reference!

Willow The Golden Retriever: Beautiful, you look stunning before and after! Woohoo, can’t wait to try this on my pin-straight hair.

M: you are so good at going slowly and showing us clearly. thank you so much!

Jessica Souza: Combinou demais com cabelos cacheados, está linda!

Han Marz: “I’m a side sleeper... with my pregnancy pillow” literally my thoughts!!! I was going to try this, but I’m 8 months pregnant and said there’s no way I’d be comfy sleeping with a belt in my hair. It’s already hard enough to get comfy these days

We Are Legion: I love the bathrobe belt method for heartless curls. Works better on my hair (wavy, fine) & results last for days.

Caitlin Ollett: I can't wait to try this! Please could you do an 'updated' testing of this method with products that work for you to get the frizz down and help the curls last all day? TY!

michaela jacobson: I usually tie up the robe ends around my head like I’m doing braid crown and it’s pretty comfortable to sleep in!

Maria Júlia: Ótima técnica para fazer cachos no cabelo sem usar fontes de calor!! Beijos do Brasil

Taylor Palermo: That side part was a game changer! The end result is absolutely BEAUTIFUL

Mayra Galeana: I tried it this past weekend, and I did the bun thing too! My hair is about 2in longer than yours. However I was wearing it like that while I was doing house chores. I did take a nap and didn't like it for sleeping either so I knew I would do this overnight. The curls did last 3 days, on day 3 it was nice big waves. Funny enough today I'm trying a new method. Instead of the buns I just criss cross the tails in the back and bring the excess robe material to the top of my head and made a cute bow. I took a nap with it and it felt waaay more comfortable. Now I just have to see how the curls are when I take it off. If they are good I will be doing the overnight this way

Kelly Gibson: Finally someone with hair my length so I can see how this works on shorter hair. Trying this for sure - your hair looks great and I’m happy you showed the back.

Chiavan White: I tried this method. My hair is about the same length as yours. I folded the robe belt is half. It made bigger curls and wasn’t as awkward to sleep in. You look stunning with this style❤️❤️

Tiffany Jones: I love doing this! I do mine a little different, I go around the crown of my head and meet in the middle back, middle of my head instead of the base of my neck. Then I twist them tight and tie it in a bow in the back. I sleep on the side of my head so this way is the most comfortable for me.

bettybiskit: I’ve been doing this for a few weeks, works really well!

TraceysShadow: I haven't curled my hair with heat in sooo long. This works so well I wish I could share a pic haha

K C: Thank you for showing us how it looks from the back! So many YouTubers never consider that

Jennifer Stronge: Great video! I saw robe curls on TikTok a few weeks ago, between those and the Revlon one step (I bought thanks in part to you) I’m able to style my hair and resist the urge to give myself a quarantine cut lol. I add product to my hair before wrapping and to avoid the ends crinkling up under the elastic I make sure my ends are wet wrap them around as smoothly as I can, then I wrap a strip of paper towel around the around the ends and secure the elastic over the paper towel, I wish I could show you a picture because it’s kind of hard to visualize. Also to avoid sleeping on a big lump, I cross the tie at the back and bring it up to the top of my head and tie it off, it looks ridiculous but it’s easier to sleep in, again a picture better explain what I’m saying. Love your channel can’t wait to see what you try next

Allison Schulthies: So pretty!! I love the curls. And I totally love your cute personality

Joyful Living With Meg: It looks so cute!!! And your hair is my same length, so that's super helpful! Thank you, great content!

Cez D: love this idea for my young daughter Great tutorial

Ashley Rogers: This looks like the perfect overnight method for me! Will definitely have to try it out, my hair is a little longer than yours!

Em Rodriguez: Beautiful ❤️ I'm going to try it, thank you!

Trina Dubya: After you've tried this method a few times and experimented with different products to refine the curls and keep them curlier longer, I'd love to see a followup video on what works the best. I know you just posted this last week, so it'll take time, but I'm really curious to see how it works out. My hair is pixie-short, and I'm thinking of growing it out, but I need things to do with it besides the ponytail or bun I always did when it was waist length.

Emz351: They look like natural curls! Sort of like mine when I leave it to dry on its own overnight (mine is more frizzy than this, but near enough haha)

Jenny C H Yeo: The curls are wonderfully and naturally flowing down. Thank you for a new and creatve method of curling hair, without heat, apply the French plaits with a band.

Marietjie Jansen Van Rensburg: My hair are much longer and I am going to definitely try it. Look beautiful

Julia G.: I've tried this method on my medium/long/super fine hair with a soft cloth headband. I do like the results when I wrap very loosely to get a beachy wave. The problem is there are alway some sections that get wrapped weird and don't look right. I found it hard to get a consistent result every time. Sometimes it turned out amazing, other times it was a disaster. So it's fun but not a "reliable" option for me if I need to not look crazy the next day. lol If anyone has tips on how to foolproof it with longer hair I'd love to hear.

Chippy L: Looks great! Who knew you could get amazing curls overnight with a robe belt!! Definitely gonna try it. I think My hair is about as long as yours, but has more layering. Hopefully it turns out as good as yours! Thanks for sharing ❤

AnOukiieJh Queen: My mom actually did this when i was a kid. She would get an old bedsheet and cut it in pieces. We call it " papillotten". U can use it in many ways. Like u did around the head, or just like little bits and pieces at a time.

Kelsey Southerland: I’ve seen people fold the belt in half with this method for looser waves! It may also be interesting to try French braiding with the belt in.

Vanessa Perez de Silgado: Beautiful thanks for the tutorial.

ajadresic: You look beautiful, specially with the side parting! Thank you for this video

Annie McCall: Love this! Tried last night and my hair is so fun today, all I had to do was shake it a bit then put pins in it. Talk about easy!!

Angelika Mauree: Wanted to see how it looks with short hair. So here I'm and happy to watch your video. It looks beautiful!

Monta Hoffman: I tried this bc you posted this video too & it turned out fantastic! Works well with my schedule & easy.

Adrianne Couvé: Your hair turned out gorgeous!

Live4theblacknote: Love it. looks so natural.

solange: This is the best tutorial using the bathrobe belt! And the moment when you ask yourself how does the hair of the back get curled and I'm like "YES, HOW?!" But somehow it turned out great!

Abbey Huntsman: Love your hair tutorial videos!

Frieda: Thank you so much for this awesome hairtutorial! I really have to try it out today.

Lou S.: Nice!!! I’ve been growing my hair out for nearly two years now and have been looking for cool things to try! Excited to see how this’ll do with mine! Thanks for the tip!

Ro: Your hair looks great! This reminds me of something we did to our hair in childhood...with all those awesome waves and curls! Love it! You are so Beautiful, and have the BEST hairstyle for pregnancy! ❤

Anne McKeel: Really enjoyed this video. beautiful curls and held up well .

Marie: I've tried this but use long socks tied at the toes so when I finish wrapping I can cover the ends with sock and tie to protect the hair I like the look and have hair to my bum that doesn't hold curls usually, even with a curly blow and pinned up for a few hours, so this is ideal for me.

Melissa Jane: Thanks for doing it in your hair for us short haired girls I'm pregnant too so probably will try in the morning because I ain't sleeping all that way either haha

laineymariebeauty: AH! Thank you so much, momma! They turned out so good ❤️

Kat Williams: This reminds me of a video I saw that uses folded aluminum foil strips that gets hair wrapped around it then pressed with a flat iron. The results were waves of wavy hair worn like the 1970s days of hair and fashion and disco - in fact the hairstyle was referred to as “disco hair.” It looked really cute.

Bianca Julia: It works so well right! It’s so much easier

Svytlana Kournyavka: Thank you very much for sharing this video. I wasn't sure if I am able to do it. Tried last night and this morning woke up like Shirley Temple. Love it. So easy and no damage to the hair. So much fun. Thank you very much‍♀️

cupidk93: Definitely trying this today after my shower! I'd so much rather do this than dry and curl my hair.

K K: I've tried that 3 days ago. My hair is just a bit longer than yours. I used a fake silk robe band and just tied it with a soft scrunchie at the end. Also I just let the ends hanging. I've got nice beachy waves and they are still in my hair after 3 days. I prepped my hair with oil and let it air dry to 80%

Charlotte Day: Going try this. Now I know it works on short hair! Looks great!

JEM: Wow! It came out really nice! I'm the same though about not having extra stuff in and on my head at night. I want to do this on a wig. Lol

Looloos Hair: These look so cute thank you for sharing

Karrin Veenstra: I love this I have fairly long hair and I've done it several times I've actually done it you just put a power right on the top so that the belt doesn't move but I've also done it with ribbons and then done it in 4 sections tied up the sections and I come out with beautiful curls

Shinty Stein: I love how your hair turned out! That was how I used to curl my hair back when it was a lot longer. I currently have a shorter bob than you do, about chin length. I find French braiding the hair around the rag or strip of fabric is more secure than wrapping it like a spiral. It's also more comfortable with just a rag and a couple scrunchies than bobby pins.

Mary Overton: It looks beautiful! My hair is very thick and very coarse shoulder length. I'm going to give this a try but I'm gonna do it with my hair dry. I'll let you know!

CuriousMD: Yes I remember my Scottish Nana doing this with strips of cloth when I was little to show me how she and her sisters did their hair during WW2 when their “beaus” were coming home from war for a few weeks. They would do it the night before and brush it out in the morning.

Time Girl: Finally a curling tutorial with less steps and looks to actually work, lol. I can't wait to give this a try. Thank you for this video

Summer LaBove: I tried this the other day and I loved how turned out

Jenni: This is my favorite look on you so far. Looking like Tori Kelly! Can't wait to try.

Shelby Keller: Well darling I have mine rolled as we speak. I actually started rolling it and then looked up the tutorial just to make sure I was doing it correctly and came upon you cuz I follow you with all of your makeup and Beauty tutorials which I greatly appreciate, you do a great job! Thank you and you walked me through it just to make sure I did it correctly and I'm anxious to see how mine turns out in the morning! I have hair down below the middle of my back so it took quite a while to roll and I have quite a lot in the robe beltso we'll see how I get to sleep, here's hoping for the best!!

shana york: Trying it tonight! I have about the same length as yours in this video, but my hair is extremely fine - we shall see how it turns out! Oh and I used twist ties vs a scrunchie or small clear rubber band

Noriko: I've tried this a couple of times. I have "almost shoulderblades hiding" length in my hair, and they are very thick. I get a little too tight curls with this method, I like a bit softer but still volymous vawes. I saw one video where the girl twisted sections of both sides of the tie, and I tried to do it home but didn't get it right. My hair got very wrincly, frizxy and messy. I have also tried this same method without the belt and just braded the rest of the ends and it was more comfortable to sleep in. (I'm also very light sleeper and wake alot during the night). Congratulations on your pregnancy, I hope you have a girl so you can some day teach these things to her also . Blessings!!

Tracie Hall: Thank you lovely lady, I hope your pregnancy want well, your hair looks amazing ❤️, well done you!, My hair looked crap when I was pregnant, you look great!,; take care lovely lady ❤️.

Sheri N: I'm gonna try it. I love heatless styling. Thanks for posting!

Sherry Jarrett Fisk: So Beautiful! Going to try it!

Nic: omg , I'm going to try this right now!!!! btw, you are so so so pretty girl!!!! I didn't know a person could be that cute!!! thank you for testing this , you are an angel ❤

Micki Milagro: Came out really beautiful!

Lori Storey: Side sleeper? Try this modification that works for me. Once I finish wrapping a side, I don’t just elastic the hair to the belt. Instead, I take a tiny section of the belt right where I’ve ended wrapping that side and fold it up over the very end of the wrapped hair, trapping the tail end of hair inside the little folded up belt section. Then I put an elastic around just that flip fold (so I don’t have to pull the entire length of the robe belt through the elastic.) Don’t do the “bun” thing with the long rope end. Instead, I just tie the two robe belt ends in a very loose knot behind my neck and sleep quite comfortably on my side. Love the results!

hjf2bme: Love it!! Going to try it! I have Irish/Polish hair where the curls fall out quickly. I like the idea of wetting/gelling the hair before. Excited to try!!

cindy packard: It looks Amazing on you and I might try this sometime, just don’t want to look like a French poodle like my family would say lol , honestly I think it looks great !!!!!

zenofwater: I do this all the time with my hair. My answer for back is a couple of Bantu knots and my hair always looks great. I have 2c curls. I do this on day 2 & 3 hair. I don’t use a robe belt I use stretchy headbands

MANRUPI KAUR: You just lucky to have someone that’s supports you in what you doing... wishing you a great luck with the pregnancy period And thanks for still doing video for all

MoniMisia: Tried and it works for me. It is actually the only way my hair stay curly for around 2-3 days. The only down side is sleeping with the robe belt . Bit uncomfortable but bearable.
