( upbeat music, ) Y'all know I was gon na. Do the intro in the holo dress., Hey guys, Kayley here today we're doing some short hair holiday hairstyles because it has been very requested.. I decided to include some very, very easy, hairstyles and then some more intricate ones, so we've got the full spectrum going today.. I think, no matter what it is, no matter whether you celebrate holidays or not, you should find a new hairstyle to work into your routine.. Be sure to hit that like button, if you enjoy short hair tutorials and hit that subscribe button for more hair tutorials for every day., That being said, let's get into it., Okay, let's start off with something very easy.. The curls that I have in here are from my Three Ways to Curl Short Hair video. These are the Barely There Bend. And then I'm grabbing this headband, which I got at Ulta and I'm going to put it on as you normally would and then pull forward. Some hair from just on top and in front of my ears, so I can have a little hair around my face., And that is it. It is like I said, ridiculously simple., Sometimes the best way to be holiday. Glam is just to pick a really great hair. Accessory. Moving on to this half up, do I started by curling my hair away from my face with a one inch curling iron, to get some really defined waves. Then I'm taking a large piece of hair on each side of my face and pulling it back and Securing it with the clear elastic. Then flip that elastic'round a couple times to create a twist and loosen it up, so that you can really see that twist popping on your hair. Now grab the ends and a little bit more hair and wrap it up and around The elastic just doing one loop so that it looks like that twist is fully formed all the way around and bobby, pin that in place. ( gentle music ). And finally, if you want some glam, you can add in some sparkly hair accessories of your choice and once you've done that this hairstyle's complete.. This is a very good one for all year round, but adding that extra little bit of bling or extra glam makeup would make this perfect for a holiday. Party. Super easy option: number two, I'm starting with that. Barely There Bend and sweeping back the hair at the crown of my head and then I'm securing it in place with this really pretty barrette or you could pin with bobby pins and then add whatever accessory. You want over that., And that is it for this hairstyle. Again very easy, very quick, but also very chic at the same time., (, gentle, music, ) And now it's time to braid start by grabbing a section of hair, just above and behind your ear and then braid that section all the way down. At the end, you Can hold your place with a bobby pin and then pull the braid apart for extra volume. Once you've done that, go ahead and wrap it across the top of your head and pin it in place. Now grab all the hair around where you just pinned that braid To create a new section of hair to braid all the way down, secure with the bobby pin and then pull apart. Once you've done, that you can sweep it to the back of your head and pin it in place pinning up and into the braid. Finish it Off by doing the same thing on the other side., You grab a section of hair right around the base of your braid braid, all the way down, fluff it apart and then pin it just over our previous braid., And that is it this way you can have A more braided bohemian style even on shorter hair. And we're gon na finish with an updo.. We actually start with the steps from the twisted half updo that we did earlier in this video.. Then you're gon na grab the hair from the front and a little bit right behind your ear and braid it all the way down, hold your place with a bobby, pin and pull it apart., ( gentle, music, ) And repeat the same thing on the other side.. Now bring the two braids together just underneath that previous half up do and pin them in place., (, gentle, music, ) And now for the remaining ends. I'M just gon na take half of what I have left and twist it up towards the twist that we made previously covering the braids and pinning that in place., Then I'm gon na repeat the same thing with the other half of the hair. That'S left down. And there you go a short hair updo that is sure to wow. It'S not difficult to do, and it will definitely give you a whole new silhouette to what you can normally do with short hair. And I have kept quiet for quite some time now but I'd very much like to make a small request. I know that the majority of your viewers want those types of hairstyles. Quick, easy, not time consuming and that can be done in minutes. I get that and I have days where I want that too. But I once loved your channel for your intricate, beautiful, and elegant updos and I have to say that I miss them a lot. Now almost every video has at least three hairstyles in it and always says "quick". Sometimes we even just put an accessory in and call it a hairstyle. I don't mean this in a bad or rude way, I like those too. I'm in med school so I don't have tons of time on my hands either. But I'm also a girl with long hair who is talented at hairstyles and once in a while I'd like to feel special and do a very pretty updo. Do you think it could be possible for you to create something like the "old" hairstyles? Something difficult and really put together, not something that has the word "messy" in it. I know you have to do what most viewers want but I would really really appreciate it if one video could be a little like the old times again. I love you

Also, a few more hairstyles featuring straight hair, because it's kinda hard to see how a hairstyle would look if your hair isn't curled (I'm talking about heat-produced curls, not your curly wig) but straight, since you don't do it that often.
