Hey guys so for today's video i wanted to do a no tie hairstyle, so i posted a side braid on my short video. There are a couple questions i also post on instagram and tic talk and no one really understood how to do it. So i'm going to walk through it with you step by step and show you two other hairstyles you can do without a hair tie because, let's be honest, as women we've probably been out in public, where our hair tie has broke or we just didn't, have a Hair tie so always keep these hairstyles in the back of your head in case that happens to you, but let's go ahead and get started. So it's a regular braid but you're not separating your strands completely and you'll notice. When you don't separate your strands completely that they kind of just hold together at the bottom, so what we're going to do is just divide our hair into three sections, so i'm not going to like section them off completely, i'm just going to kind of hold them Like this, and i'm going to take the inside section cross it over the middle i'm still going to hold on to it, i'm going to take the outside section cross it over the middle and i'm still holding on to everything. I'M going to take the inside section cross it over the middle outside section, cross it over the middle and look what it's doing to the ends of our ponytail. So i'm still holding on to everything. Take the inside section cross it over at the middle outside section cross it over the middle inside section cross it over the middle. So it's giving us these little loops outside section cross it over the middle and you're going to get to the point where you can't braid anymore. It'S really tight and it'll create little pockets like this. So i'm just going to flip my hair up through into this little pocket that you see so just flip it up and just push it through and you can see it creates almost like a knot and then i'm just gon na fluff out my braid just kind Of tighten it at the bottom and then this is what we have so i would pull out some hair just because it looks a little funky like that pull out some hair over here, and you could even do this in the back of your head same thing. But i'm just going to do it like this, so this is a three strand braid. Without a ponytail, i'm going to show you how to do a fishtail braid without a ponytail i'll get the question. How do you take this out? It'S super simple you're! Just going to kind of pull this down and then just flip your hair back up through that hole and it'll just kind of unravel itself once you pull it from the ends and that's it so now, let's do a fishtail braid. So to do a fishtail! You just divide your hair into two sections. You can see. I have a little bit of hair just connecting the two and i'm just going to take a small strand from the inside section and cross it all the way over to the outside section, so see how my hair is kind of connecting at the bottom. Do the same thing to the other side, just take a small section cross it over to the opposite section and then do the same thing. Take a small section from the inside section cross it over to the opposite section: take a small strand from the outside cross. It over to the opposite section: take a small strand cross it over to the opposite section, and you just keep doing this all the way down so again take a small strand cross it over to the opposite section. Take a small strand cross it over to the opposite section. This one is a little bit more tedious. I like the three strand braid, just because it's quick, i don't really have to worry about it too much. This one could take some time so just keep taking small sections crossing over to the opposite section. You can see how my hair is holding together at the bottom. So all i'm going to have to do is flip my hair up through that to hold it, but you want to make sure it is tight, so keep going until it's a tight feeling. So now i'm left with this opening. I can't really braid anymore. So i'm just going to take my hair flip it up through that opening and just pull on it, make sure it's nice and tight, and here we have a fishtail braid. So i'm just going to fluff it out a little bit make it look a little bit. Thicker, you could also do this as a reverse fishtail. So, instead of taking your strands over, you take them under and you do the exact same thing. So again, i would just pull out some hair and there you have it. So what i'm going to do is take my hair back, i'm going to take my three fingers and just create a small opening, i'm going to take my hair and just grab it and then pull it through that opening i'm going to hold on to it. Do the same thing, take my fingers on the other side, create an opening and then pull my hair through and tighten it. It should end up looking something like this. If i was moving around a lot walking running anything like that, this would not last, but if i was sitting down, you know just wanted my hair out of my face. This would be a really good hairstyle, so i would just pull some hair out, and that is that one, so the last one i'm going to do is a bun, and i have not perfected this one. I'Ve tried it a couple times. I think this works best. If you have long hair, if your hair is longer than mine, i think it'll work really well. If you have my length of hair, shorter, hair, you're, probably going to struggle a little bit, what you want to do is take your hair back you're, going to take your hand and you're going to place it underneath your ponytail like this, so your thumb should be Holding on to it, you're going to grab it and you're going to twist it up. So if you had really long hair you'd want to take this end piece and wrap it around, but that's all i can do so now. I want to wrap this top piece over this little bun, so i'm going to take it and just kind of twist it and then just take the bottom part of the bun and try to push it through. So it should end up looking something like this decently cute from the front. I would just as always pull out some hair, but i will show it to you one more time. Take your four fingers and you want your hair to go over your hand. So now you're going to grip it and twist it up. You still want to be holding on to it. We'Re going to take the ends, just wrap them around, and now we want our top to go over this little bun piece. So i'm just going to kind of grab it and then pull it through just kind of try to push it up through, like that and you're not going to be able to push your bun all the way through. So, just a little bit and you'll feel it it'll feel secure. This bun does not feel like it's going anywhere, it's definitely more secure than the ponytail, so i do like this one, and that is it. That is all i have for you guys. So let me know what you think in the comments below which one was your favorite and which one you'll be giving a shot. Don'T forget the first two braids you can always do in the back. If you don't want to do them on the side. So i have no babies to show to you today because they're both sleeping, but i hope you enjoyed this video, don't forget to like subscribe, leave a comment, and i will see you guys my next one bye

Justine Whyte: I love following your page. This summer I made a spurr-of-the-moment decision and donated my hair for cancer patients. As a breast cancer survivor, I don't regret the decision at all but I'll looking forward to my hair being a bit longer. Right now I can only put it on a pony tail. I love your hairstyles. Thanks for the tutorials!

Hey It's Santra!: So this is for the running late girls out there! 0:33 - Regular Three Strand Braid 2:29 - Fishtail Braid 4:48 - Ponytail 5:40 - Messy Bun

Tracy: These are all great, and they all work in my hair, which is coarse and typically not very bendy (things like messy buns never work for me). The bun is called a Nautilus Bun and yes it takes some considerable length, I’m at almost waist length and can’t quite get there. If your hair is thinner or shorter you can try it over a couple of fingers instead of the whole hand - also a hair stick makes it pretty secure.

Antonella Orozco.: These are super cute, I almost never have a hair type at hand so these are super useful. Thank you!!!. Love your channel.

lynn phillips: For the bun I left a little hair out to wrap around before putting the part on my hand over, it made it feel more secure. My hair is the same length as yours. Thank you so much for these hairstyles

Arras10: How clever…I almost like the way it looks more than seeing a hair tie!

Jessie H: Omgosh I love these! You know how long my hair is (little past my waist) and these are PERFECT especially since it's hot

Baylee Robison: These are such cute hairstyles ❤️

The Mosley Fam: Thank you so much for more! Your the best at doing hair my mom was a hairstylist but it shut down because of quarantine and we were moving now my mom does hair at our apartment while I have a friend to play with !

Holly Peno: This is the first time I can do a bun without a stick or hair tie! Thank you!!! (Is this considered a nautilus bun?)

Pamela C: These are so neat! I don’t know if my hair is too short or too smooth, but with the braids they untie themselves as I work my way down.

7027CATHY: I love these ideas. Very clever. I love all hairstyles and will be trying them all. The last hairstyle, I do that one all the time, it's called the Nautilus Bun. You can do different versions, like putting your hand above the hair you hold instead of under and wrapping it around, or twisting it a bit before looping it and wrapping it around the hair you are holding. You can put a Chinese hair stick through it also, but you have to weave it above the hair that has been looped and put over the wrapped around hair and it holds it in place. My hair is long enough to achieve without a hair stick and I use the Nautilus bun as a top not too, but works only on long hair and I use it as a shower bun and release when washing my hair. But all hairstyles are awesome. Love them. Thank you so much for sharing. Your channel is like a goodie bag full of wonderful surprises. Love it. ❤️

claire vinet: So cool, nice results! Thank you!!!

Kelly Dukepoo: That's cool! I'll try all of them! Really cute!

Therése Wallentin: Super cute. The length of my hair is slightly shorter than yours so I’d probably have some problems making the bun, but will definitely try the braids.

Pink P: Thank youuuuu. I knew how to do bun but i love braids. Thank youuuu

Cina Chandler: Thanks for clarifying! I love this.

Christina: I love the them all,,!! But I think the first one is my favorite

Redneck Beauty with Debra: Great tips honey, great video!!!

𝐓𝐨𝐜𝐚 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐞: Yayyy!!!!! I've been waiting for this!! Thank youuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are the best lainey!!!!!

Emily Ellingsworth: The pulling out the hair part is always so odd to me. If I am going to do a hairdo I want all my hair out of my face.

Hermine Nazari: Thanks beautiful

Tanvee: Love it...!

Tsukki Swiss Cheese: My hairstyles disappears like magic so this is helpful

Devi rajmohan: Looks elegant Thx 4 uploading

Natalie Sheff: oh thank you! when your shot video of the 3 strand side braid came out im just like....oh dear i cant follow!!! but thx for this!!! love love love

Panda Person1245: I don’t understand how the loop in the pony tail works. Whenever I try it, it just ends up on top of the other hair. So it never when I do it

Jennifer Rice: That's great!

JOCELYN COLLINS: Hair is too thick. It just keeps popping back out.

N S: Bun and 3 strand braid
