Everyone welcome back to my channel so today I'm going to show you how to achieve this heatless beachy summer wave. This is something you can do just before you go to bed and then you wake up and you've got perfect hair. Before I drag my hair, I applied Kerastase serum and some leave-in conditioner by the o-5. Now I'm going to leave my fringe out of this because I like to curl it separately in the morning but feel free to include yours in the plat. So taking a small section at the top of my head, I'm going to part that into three individual sections, they're going to pass the right strand underneath the middle one. And then I'm going to take the left strand and pass that underneath that right strand, which is now on the left, then I'm going to take the right strand underneath the middle one and hold it in between my index finger and my thumb. Taking a section of hair from my ear up towards the crown, I'm adding that to the strand of hair between my index finger and my thumb that then becomes the middle strand. Then I'm going to pinch the left strand of hair between my finger and thumb, on my other hand, and we're going to repeat the same process. So I'm taking a small section of hair by my ear and again I'm pinching it between my finger and my thumb. So it's in with the other strand of hair. This now becomes the middle strand, as you can see, then placing my index finger and thumb underneath that middle section I'm able to grab the right strand and pull hair up to add into that section. Now you don't want to be too neat about this. The reason I'm not brushing the sections before I add them in is because I want to retain as much volume at the root as possible and if you brush them sections flap, your hair is going to lay flat in the morning and anyway, we're going to bed. So it doesn't need to be neat now, I'm just going to show you the same process from behind. You can see how I'm doing it with no mirror. Once your fingers get used to doing the pattern, you won't need a mirror. A Dutch braid isn't the most easiest to explain, nor is it the most easiest to replicate just by eyeball in it. You do need to practice this, but I promise you once you get the hang of it. It'S so easy remember with a Dutch braid you're, always applying the strands underneath the middle section, so you're going to take a section of hair slide it up between your finger and your thumb to meet the left strand. The middle section then becomes the lift strand. The left strand, then becomes the middle strand and then you've got the right strand in between your finger and your thumb, which you're then adding. Here too, you can do this braid in a matter of minutes, I'm doing it as slow as I can just so that you can see the process where my fingers are, where the hairs I mean, and each strand overlap in the other when you get about halfway Down you then want to start pulling at the strands. We want to create a blown-out braid. This is a key step. This is what's going to create those nice loose waves. If you want the tight crinkled effect, then don't pull out the sides of the braid notice. How I'm not pulling at the center of the sections I'm only pulling at the very outer edges and I'm Fanning the hair outwards? If you pull at the center, that's the core of the braid, which is then going to loosen the entire thing. It would just fall out. You can then carry on braiding the hair all the way down to the nape of the neck. As you start to work, your way down, you can stop and just pull out all the sides of the new braid that you've created. Remember only tugging at the outer edges and then once you reach the bottom of your neck, you can then pull the braid round to the side and continue to plat with your arms at the front. Now the reason it's important for you to pull the hair as you go is because, if you plat your hair all the way down to the bottom and you've not blown your platter as you've gone, it would be too tight and you won't get the same effect. It can also be damaging on the strands of hair if you're tugging at it and this tension due to the type player so once you've tied the end off with an elastic. You can then just go through all of the braid from the top to the bottom. Just pull in there and making sure everything's nice and loose at the edges, not the center, and it should look something like this, which you can then sleep on okay. So now it's the morning, you can see my hairs a little bit untidy from having slipped on it, but that's okay! I'M going to take the elastic off and then start to undo the pact. You want to unravel the plaque. Quite gently, you don't want to just pull your fingers through it because you're going to disturb all of the individual strands and we want to keep them as neat and tidy as possible if you rate your fingers for it, you're gon na get fluffy look in here. If you've got particularly straight hair, naturally you can use a setting spray before creating your platen that'll help. Add some hold to your hair. As you can see, once I bring it around to the front, there's still quite a bit of volume to the root, which is really nice, the hairs not flat, and that's because we didn't brush the hair upwards and smooth everything out and you can see the wave Is right, the very tip of the hair, and it's not too tight towards the bottom for my fringe and we're just going to use my conical wand just add a little code to it, I'm only going to leave it on for a couple of just so it Adds a nice subtle wave to the hair. I don't want it to be too curly. If you want little it to be completely heatless, you can clap your fringe into your braids before you go to bed. This is just my preference, and that is the hairstyle complete. I really hope you've enjoyed my hitless summer waves tutorial. This works on shoulder length to long hair. If your hair, slightly shorter, you can do two braids on either side of your head. Please give the tutorial a thumbs up if you've enjoyed it.
