Hey guys!! Here's a how-to of my favorite summer hairstyle, the highly requested Wet Hair Look Tutorial! Be sure to watch until the end to see a very different side of me aka bloopers... Anyway, I think this style was recently made famous by Kim Kardashian, but I've been wearing this look since I was in 8th grade (minus the extensions). Let me know what you think, hope you like it!

Hey guys, what’s up welcome back to my channel I’m Maryam.. I am super excited to be here today, even though it’s been a hell of a day. I’m having my wine right here, because I need it. It’s been a stressful Monday and it’s only the beginning of the week. Woosa. Mmm Much better. Anyway. We have some really exciting things coming up at the end of the week, and the good news is that today I film this wet hair tutorial. You all have been requesting on my Snapchat on my Instagram.. This is basically my summer hair look. This is how I’ve been wearing my hair in this humidity, because it’s the only kind of hair that you can have in this weather.. So I think it’s perfect for this time of the year. It’s very sexy, you can wear it down chill. You can wear it dressed up, however, you want it, but today I’m finally filming my tutorial as per your request - and I hope you guys enjoy it. Let’S get started., So I am fresh out of the shower first thing that I’m gon na do is brush my hair and make sure there are no kinks.. You want it to be as wet as possible. The wetter it is the better the wet hair look. Will be. Tussle it a little bit like this just to get it prepped. First thing that I’m gon na do is apply mousse…. This much is enough to the roots of my hair.. If you have thicker hair, you can totally skip this step, but because my hair is on the thin side, I like to apply straight to the roots, because this is where I want the most volume, also in the front. I’m using the ‘Redken Full Frame. 07 Allover Volumizing Mousse’, but you can use whatever works for you. This is just the one that I had handy. Next I’m gon na separate this bottom section of my hair. This very small section right here, maybe a little less and I’m gon na clip the rest of my hair up.. What I like to do is eliminate the bottom portion of my hair all together, because I will be using my clip-in hair extensions, which are much longer that my current hair., So I don’t want the lowest layer of my hair to be the shortest. I want it to be the longest. So that’s why I’m completely eliminating this bottom section by braiding it away. This is actually a technique. I use often whenever I’m clipping in my extensions, so you can see it in a couple of my other videos on Instagram and here on YouTube., Then I just clip it right along the back of my hair, like this., But again, if you’re not using extensions, then You don’t have to worry about this step. Whatsoever. I’m gon na take out the rest of my hair and I’m gon na use. This wave spray, from'Ouai Hair Care’ this one right, here. Start spraying it along the length of my hair and while I’m spraying it I’m. Also gon na be zhuzhing. My hair, like this with my hand., A few sprays per side, is really all you need and I’m gon na continue, zhuzhing it up. Now you’re going to see that my hair is actually taking on its natural shape. So it’s not super straight it’s got just a little bit of a wave, which is what it looks like when it’s straight out of the shower or out of the ocean.. The wave spray will help it maintain that natural wave., So now I’m just gon na leave. My hair alone, I’m gon na pick up my extensions and I’m gon na do the same thing to each of the wefts that I’m gon na attach to my hair. Just gon na spray. The length then I’m gon na scrunch them up., Keep in mind. Your extensions. Have to be a little bit damp before you apply the product into them.. When I took a shower, I made sure to wash my extensions at the same time that I washed my hair. I’m gon na take that first extension weft and I’m gon na clip it right into that braid that I just braided. That way my longest layer of My hair is the actual extensions, so it’s, not gon na, be my short hair that comes up to here. It’S gon na be this.. Next, I’m going to release just a little bit of hair and I’m going to attach the next extension right into that part and I’m gon na flip, this hair over and I’m just gon na scrunch, it all together.. Now this is how I blend my natural hair with the hair extensions.. Then I’m going to do basically the same thing release a little bit of hair, I’m gon na spray, the extensions with the wave spray I’m gon na zhuzh them up, then I’m gon na attach them to that part that I just created., Then I’m gon na spray. Some more wave spray and basically that’s the entire process. I’m gon na, attach the final extension weft right here at the top. I’m gon na scrunch it up and zhuzh it up with my natural hair., Then I’m gon na release the rest of my hair and I’m Gon na zhuzh it up some more. I’m gon na flip, my hair over with the extension and I’m gon na scrunch, it all together.. If your hair is curlier than mine. You might be done at this point, but because my hair is more on the straight wavy side I like to make it a little bit more curly.. What I like to do is clip it all up, grab it, and I use the bigger clips to clip the back without ruining the curl.. Then I lift up the front and I use smaller clips for the front sort of like this.. I know this looks really crazy right now, but trust me this is what works.. Basically, after all the zhuzhing is done, you want to clip it up in the same position as it was scrunched up.. So if you want to preserve the curl, I suggest applying hairspray to this entire concoction once the hair is already up.. If your hair is curly again, you don’t have to do this. You don’t have to put this up at all, but this is what I like to do so that I can make my hair look extra voluminous extra, crunchy extra, wet looking and once I’m done clipping it up. I usually like to keep this in for as long as possible., So I go on about my day. I do my makeup. I do my chores. Sometimes you even see me on Snapchat and I’m literally wearing this hairstyle, while I’m driving around while I’m in an Uber. While I’m running errands doing my chores going about my business, I really don’t care. The longer you keep these clips in your hair, the better the curls will be the longer the look will last.. Ok make up is done.. I even had some dinner. I even had some wine. Time to take out these clips.. Oh girl. Here we go. Yes, yes… come through that hair.. Thank you so much… my hair is wet and it is wavy I’m, ready to party. Alright we’ve reached the end of the tutorial. Here. Is the hair…? How easy was that Super duper easy? It should take you no more than 15 minutes to prep plus, however long you want to take to actually walk around in the clips, the longer the better. If you want the curlier hairstyle, like the way that I have now., If you have natural curly hair, you don’t have to do that. You’Re, lucky and I’m super duper jealous., But anyway.
