The Best 10 Min Wavy Hair Tutorial

FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM http://www.instagram.com/alexgaboury

Today’s hairstyle is the BEST wavy hair tutorial! I love these waves, they give me Britney Spears 2008 MTV VMA vibes and I am here for it for fall! I’ve shared so many videos on how to create mermaid hair, wavy hair, crimped hair, beachy waves, but what I love most about this particular wavy hairstyle is how quick it is to recreate, it takes less than 10 minutes, and looks beautiful every single time.

There are so many different 3 barrel wavers and curling irons to choose from but after a lot of reviews, and YouTube tutorials, I decided to purchase the Amika High Tide Deep Waver. I know this one is on the pricer side so I would love if you left a comment letting me know which waver you use, and your experience with it, I think this could be very helpful for others looking for one.

Hello, everyone welcome back so today, i'm going to be sharing with you how to create these really soft, beautiful fun waves. I'Ve been seeing this hairstyle everywhere and i love it. I feel like the 2000s are making such a comeback. Now i have shared so many different ways on how to create these waves, but this technique is so quick. It'S so easy like it takes no time at all. I'M not sure it took me so long to try it but yeah. Let'S just get started all right. So all you're going to need is a waiver, and this one here is the amica high tide, deep waiver - and i really love this one. There are so many different waivers on the market, but i did a ton of research and i ended up purchasing this one. Just seemed the most reliable and i really loved the waves that it created all right, so i want some really defined waves, so i'm going to set mine to 180 degrees celsius. This will also speed up the waving process, but depending on your hair type, you might want to go with less heat and, of course, don't forget a heat protectant. I already went in with the moroccan oil all in one leave-in conditioner. This includes thermal protection. I love this stuff. I'Ve been using it ever since i got it. It just makes your hair so soft and it smells incredible all right, i'm going to go ahead and section off my hair. Just above my ears, trust me: you want to section off your hair for this hairstyle, because if you miss any pieces, it'll be super obvious, especially if you have straight hair like me all right for our section, since the barrels are nice and large, you can work In big sections, which is awesome, makes it go by very quickly, but you do want to make sure that your sections aren't too thick like this. That way, your hair heats evenly through all right for long, lasting waves and curls. You want to apply some hairspray, so just take a light, hold hairspray and give it a nice light spritz. It smells so good and then just brush out your section, and you can do this for curls too it'll make your curls and waves last for days. It'S awesome all right, take your waiver. This one has the clamp on the top and you just want to place it nice and close to your root. Please be careful and you just clamp it down, and i really like this one, because it has these little lips on the end. So it doesn't create any creases. All right so hold up for about five seconds and then let go all right and then i'm going to slide this down to the bottom wave so that the first barrel is going to go where the third barrel was so i'll. Show you like this and then you just clamp them and of course the longer you hold it. The more defined your waves are going to be, and as i move down my section since my hair gets thinner, i don't hold it for quite as long all. Right. First barrel goes where the third barrel was clamp. It down. Okay, just repeat the same thing down the rest of my section: it's honestly that simple, it just does all the work for you and then for the very end, i'm just gon na hold it for like just like one second, just to smooth it out. All right. Look at this, how cute it's so nice and shiny. I love it. I'M just gon na place this one out of the way, and let me show you again: it's honestly so much fun all right same thing hit it with some hairspray all right and let's go in with the waiver, and i don't know if it helps any of You but i like to hold mine in my right hand, and i just always keep the clamp on the top all right so same idea, nice and close to the root, be careful and clamp it down now. I know you can get similar results by braiding. Your hair and sleeping with it, but personally, whenever i wake up in the morning after doing that, i take out my braids. My hair always looks like really frizzy and fluffy versus when i do it with the waiver. My hair just comes out really like shiny and smooth, and it stays a lot longer. But if you're someone that can recreate this look with a braid and some sleep, then i am very envious of you. So i'm just repeating the same pattern down this section of the hair and you can almost feel the waver find that lower wave and it just pops right into place and then just remember. The bottom doesn't need nearly as much time. Just like a quick two seconds and look at that, i love it all right, so i'm going to quickly work my way through the bottom section, i'm just repeating the same steps, there's no switching or changing direction. None of that, it's literally so easy all right. So this bottom section here has no hairspray, and then this top section i used hairspray, you can see what a difference the hairspray makes like this. One here is a lot more defined. This one here is a lot softer, not quite as defined definitely won't. Last as long but they're both pretty, but i just wanted to show you what a difference it can make all right we're moving on up that literally took like two minutes to do it's incredibly fast. If you're someone that struggles with hot tools, then this is the tool for you all right. So i'm just going to quickly work my way through this middle section, and then i will show you how i do the pieces that frame my face and the hair. At my part, i love seeing my hair come out of this. Like look just looks so shiny and pretty it actually kind of reminds me of like a dry lasagna, noodle or something, but if these waves look too defined for you, what you can do is do them before you go to sleep sleep on them and you'll wake Up with the most beautiful, like soft natural effortless, looking waves, they'll look really pretty alright, so i'm at my part on this side. So i can show you how i do that and i'm just going to clip this very top section away for now. I have so much hair. I really hope you don't have to make this many sections and that it's quick and even easier for you all right so for the pieces that frame my face, i'm not going to add any hairspray. I want them to be nice and soft, and especially if you have a center part, it's really flattering to start your waves, just above your eye height, just hold it for like one two seconds, one two and then one and that's it for the front piece. Nice and soft and then for the rest of my hair. At my part, i really like to work in smaller sections. I just find it looks a lot more natural, less uniform, but i am going to hairspray the section all at once, just to save time. This hairspray smells so good by the way and what you can do too, to help make it look like a little bit more natural and less uniform is when you're clamping is to put it on a slight angle, and then for the section beside that one. I'M just going to angle it downwards the other way and you can see how they all kind of blend better. They all look different from one another and it just looks a little bit more natural i'll, even grab like itty bitty pieces like this all right. So you don't have to work in little smaller sections near the top, but do you see how much more like natural and piecier it looks? I think, taking like a little bit of extra time, just makes a really big difference versus the waves that we did down here. You can tell they're just like big chunkier waves and then up here everything just blends really nicely all right, i'm going to zip through this section, nice and quick and then i'll meet you all back at the top. I still can't get over how shiny my hair looks when it comes out of this. It'S magic, okay, so here you'll be able to see the difference that working in small sections at your part versus not working in small sections at your part, what a difference it makes so this still looks super pretty. I really like it, but this on this side. It'S just a lot more like natural and softer looking. So, whichever way you prefer, i can't believe i'm at the top already like this is probably the fastest hair tutorial i've ever filmed. Okay, i would love to know if you've tried these. I feel like i'm a little bit late to the game, so you probably have so i would love to know which one you've tried and how did it hold up? I feel like that'd be super helpful, especially since this one is a little bit. Pricier it'd be cool to know if the other ones work well, too. All right last section i sectioned off like an inch right at my part. Just so i can work in like little itty-bitty pieces. I feel like, like late 90s early 2000s trends like clothing, hair. Everything is making such a comeback right now and this hair. These waves definitely remind me of that, like i feel, like britney spears, christina aguilera. I feel like they used to wear their hair like this, but i think it's super cute, like they look kind of glam right now, but, like i mentioned earlier once you sleep on these overnight you'll wake up with like super soft, beautiful natural looking waves and make Sure you check the back. I just realized. I have this in one very long straight piece, just hanging out back there. I'Ve told this story before, but in high school. I used to not do the back of my hair okay, and this is one hairstyle where you cannot skip that step and for my bangs same steps as the pieces of framing your face. I'M just going to hold the waiver on just for like two seconds and i didn't use any hairspray. Okay, look at this. I love it so much! I'M just going to use my fingers and i'm just going to gently brush through my waves. You don't want to do it too much or they'll end up getting really fluffy and poofy, but just enough to break them up and make them look more natural all right. There we have it. These waves are seriously so quick and easy. I know it's another hair tool and you can create these waves with a straightener or with braids, but this gives you like consistent beautiful results, every single time. I love it. So much and look like my hair is basically done for the entire week. But if you liked today's video, please give it a thumbs up subscribe if you're not subscribed already and i'll talk to you all next time, bye
