90S Twisted Spiked Hairstyle: Doja Cat Grammys Inspired

Hello, welcome back to my channel today we're going to sacrifice my clean hair to recreate this hairstyle. Oh, my god. She looked so beautiful, so stunning, very chic, very grunge, early 2k late, 90s stunning. So i decided that today we're gon na just like get inspired by this hairstyle, but first my name is karina berenice if you're new to the channel hello, welcome if you're not subscribed. My main focus wants to be on those like little churritos that like twirl, so we're gon na focus more on that, instead of like the twist up front and the hair updo, because i think i actually want to do two buns instead of having my hair down. So it's just inspirational, of course, we're gon na need some gel. Oh my god, you guys i haven't used gel ever since i was little. My mom would use this very specific gel on us and i don't know i just hate the sticky like sensation, but oh my god. This smells amazing. This smells like my childhood right here. We'Re gon na also need some bobby pins, but not the original ones. These are the ones that have like. I just feel like it's gon na be easier to use these type when the churrito is done, and you have to like put a bobby pin on these are the ones that i'm talking about see how they're like opened. So i'm gon na start off by parting, my hair, but i'm not just gon na, do like a straight hair part. I'M gon na do a zigzag and i love these type of hair parts because they just look so grunge, so exotic, very y2k. Now that we have our part we're going to grab little strands and we're gon na grab them from the very end of each like zigzag. So i have this one and then we're gon na grab another one from over here. So it's right in the corner. Okay, so we have the first part down next we're going to part our hair, wherever, like your crown, ends, we're gon na part. It like this okay, so now that we have these two little ponytails we're gon na grab our hair from the back and just tie it as of right. Now we just wan na like get it away from our face. Next, we're gon na grab this section of our hair and we're gon na start combing it leaving this little strand out and we're gon na make some high ponytails okay. So i have the two ponytails and the two little strands, but as you can see, this one is like jumping okay. So this is the strand we're gon na part it and then put it and then put the hair up. So now we have it like hidden, and i really like that effect honestly, this upper part - you can do it, however, you want. The next part is the good one where the churritos are next we're gon na grab our hair in the bag, split it in half. I'M in love with the nemo girl, i'm gon na grab the ponytail that i already made and i'm just gon na set it aside and then we're gon na grab this hair and make it into a ponytail. I didn't end up connecting them, because when i'm doing the little twists, i need some space to work around with. So this is what we have now we're gon na put some gel. This is the part i'm like treading. Then i have nails which makes it worse. Okay, so first we're gon na make these like super thin, so they don't move around. Oh, my god, this is so gross. This is going to take a while. So you have to have patience for this, we're going to grab a small section of hair and then we're going to drench it in jail and then we're going to start twisting twisting twisting these twists need to be really really tight in order for the loops. To start forming, i remember my mom would used to do these on me, but these take forever, but she only did them when we had like a special event like a quinceanera or like a wedding. I remember i used my hair like this on one of my aunt's wedding, but yeah. Do you see those little loops? That'S what we want and then, when you're close to the end, you're gon na grab one of these bobby pins and pin your twists. Oh, my god, my arms hurt, so i'm done with this side. I'M not sure how it looks in the back, but whatever i feel like it's a little loose, i'm just gon na go in with more pins and pin them down just so it's a little bit more sturdy, but honestly it was pretty easy. It is a little bit just time-consuming, but if you don't have that much hair, you're gon na be fine, i mean it doesn't look too bad. You can see some pins there, but to be my very first time it looks pretty cute. If you ask me so now, i'm gon na go on to this side and then we'll come back to just clean it up and finish the look and i'll be right back. Oh my god, i'm almost done! This is what i have left, but i'm struggling a little bit because i only have these. I know they look exactly the same, but these are thinners so they're not as sturdy and the little like twists are coming off. So i'm just like struggling a little bit more, but i'm almost done. This is honestly a very fun hairstyle, but it's not fun to do because it takes forever and your arms hurt unless someone is doing it for you, it's like pretty cool and we're done. Oh, my god, wait! No! No! No! I have these tiny butterfly clips. I don't know if they would look cute should i try and add them on. I wish i could have just left a little bit more like the spiky, but i did what i could. It'S honestly a little bit harder than what i thought it would be, but it is such a cute hairstyle like it is so worth it, and this is the end result i really like the butterfly, so i'm just gon na keep them, and that is all for. Today'S video, i love this hairstyle. I hope you recreate it and feel inspired to make it. I am so obsessed with all the y2k aesthetic, it's always so heartwarming to be nostalgic about my childhood, and this hairstyle is definitely it anyways.
