[, MUSIC, ] Hair frizz, a very common complaint amongst people, especially the ones that were born with naturally curly hair or naturally wavy hair.. But you can also give yourself the frizzies just by doing things wrong in your daily routine.. So in this video, I'm actually gon na show you three DIY conditioners that you can actually make yourself to help reduce the frizz. And also I'm going to include some easy tips at the end of the video.. Just little things you can maybe change in your daily routine to help reduce frizz as well, because you might actually be causing it and not even know it.. So let's get started. Okay.. The very first recipe is one of my favorites of all time. And here's all you need.. You need limes like one, maybe two and one can of coconut milk.. You can find coconut milk like in the grocery store.. It'S pretty much everywhere. It'S not that hard to find., Also empty containers save these because these can hold the excess. You know hair mess, that's left over once you're done., So I'm gon na use my empty Nutella container and I washed it out and stuff like that and made it nice and pretty.. And then, with your coconut milk, you want to dump the entire can of coconut milk as gracefully as I did into the container.. Then you need lime juice and I recommend getting your lime juice from actual limes. But like. If you can't, then I guess you can use the bottled lime juice as well, and if you can't get either, then you can use lemon juice., But it calls for one lime and you need about four to five spoon. Fulls of the lime juice. Inside of this mixture., Okay, so now you're, probably wondering why.. Why these two? Why this relationship And that's because coconut milk actually benefits the hair in so many different ways.. It'S really really good for your hair and skin. And lime juice is really good for your hair. As well, but when you mix the two together it can tame the hair actually., But not only does it tame the hair, but it's also really good for hair loss.. So if you're having trouble with you know, maybe too much shedding or you know, hair growth try applying it to your scalp.. So now you want to completely saturate your hair with this mask and I just split my hair into sections and did it that way. And then just pin it up., And I put a plastic baggie over my head, because if you notice it's really really runny. And You can thicken it up with some corn starch if you want to., But I didn't really mind. I just decided to wrap it up instead and then you want to let it sit. Now you can actually let it sit overnight depending on how frizzy your hair is, or you can just leave it in for like an hour, but at least an hour.. Then you just wan na go ahead and shampoo and condition like you normally would and style, and there's no chemicals or anything like that.. So you don't have to worry about it like damaging your hair. If your hair is already damaged. And then just throw the rest, away. Okay. So now for the second recipe., And this one is actually really easy.. All that you need is plain: yogurt, no sugar, no berries on the bottom and honey. My favorite., I love honey. So much. - And these two are another perfect match for reducing frizz.. Now the honey is for moisture. And the yogurt is actually for the smoothing.. The lactic acid in the yogurt is what's gon na smooth down your hair's cuticle.. So if you want more moisture, then add more honey and vice versa.. So I just I did like half and half., But it's up to you how much you wan na add. And then once you have completely saturated your hair with the mixture you have to, let it sit, but you don't want to let it sit for longer than Two hours., But you also want to try to keep it in for like at least 15 minutes to 20 minutes., Then afterwards, you want to go ahead and shampoo and condition it out and style. Your hair, like you, normally would., Okay, now for the third one., This one is also really really easy.. All that you need is basically your daily conditioner and some extra virgin olive oil., And all that you want to do is just in a separate container. Take and add some conditioner to like a jar for instance. And then just add a little bit of olive oil., Not too much or else your hair will come out really really greasy. Looking and oily. I just added like half a cap full to my little mixture. And then what you wan na do is just shampoo your hair and then replace your everyday conditioner with this mixture, instead., Maybe like once or twice a week, depending on how much your Hair needs it. And then afterwards, just rinse., And the reason why you're, adding olive oil to it is because olive oil is just a natural frizz reducer and it removes static as well. Okay. So that's actually it for all of the DIY conditioners and now for the easy tips.. These are just things that you can do every single day. Also, on top of these masks to help reduce frizz. The first one avoid damage like heat. Anything that's gon na break your hair. Tugging at your hair, with the wrong brush, et cetera, because the more breakage you have the frizzier that your hair looks.. So, even if you weren't, born with frizzy hair, make sure that you still take care of it, because you can end up turning it into frizzy, looking hair. The next tip. If you have like a lot of frizz and really want to reduce it, then try not using a towel to dry your hair. Try using like a t-shirt.. This way it leaves some extra moisture and your hair won't look dry and frizzy.. The next tip re-wet, your hair after you comb it out. When you get out of the shower. I literally swear by this rule because, yes, we have to you know detangle our hair when we get out of the shower., But after you de-tangle your hair, re-wet it in the sink or with whatever you want to., Because what it's gon na do is clump your Hair all back together. And then just like kind of you know, pat it dry and then when it does fully dry, it's going to be like frizz-free and everything you could ever dream of.. The last tip is to always rinse with cold water. And it seems like a really repetitive tip, but it's actually really important., And this is why. Because when we're in the shower, the heat opens up our cuticles. And it's so happy because we're just you know putting Lots of moisture into it and conditioner. And then we just get out of the shower and our cuticles are still open.. And then we start drying it and we just kind of suck all the moisture back out of it.. And then it gets cool. And then the cuticles close without all that moisture in it, that could have been in it if you would have rinsed your hair out with cold water before exiting the shower.. So that's it for today's video. Hope that you guys, like it hope that it helped. And if you guys try any of the masks, then comment down below and let me know how it works. Or if you have any tips of your own. You can share those as well in the comments, and I will see you guys. Soon. indigo pastel: I love the conditioner and olive oil one I've used it twice and I can see a huge difference in my frizz, my hairs shiny and so much less frizzy and static !! Thanks so much Andrea ! Xx

Kat: I've been using coconut oil and rinsing my hair with cold water for months now, and yes, it makes a HUGE difference. May hair grows really fast, and it stays smooth. I do dye it, and all the natural stuff I use on it keeps it healthy to counter the dye ^o^

julie m: Andrea, I just had to THANK YOU for this! THese treatments work miracles, and way better than anything I've bought in the store. Also, I've found that if you leave the coconut milk uncovered in the fridge for a day, it gets to a yogurt-like consistency and is way easier to apply to your hair. If you leave just a little bit in a bowl in the fridge for a week or so, it turns into a butter you can apply to dry hair as a leave-in balm to get rid of frizzies.

Lashanda Marie: The coconut lime one made my hair super soft and it works! My fav part it's NATURAL..!❤️

Nicole Maahs: I am in the process of using the coconut one and I'm so excited to see how it turns out! I used the virgin oil one and was very happy with the rests :)

ofbeautymatters: Andrea have you ever tried using jojoba oil on your hair? It's great for frizzy hair with the added bonus of making your hair grow. I use it on my curly hair. I make DIY videos about natural video remedies in my humble all natural beauty channel. You might find it helpful :) xx

Kathleen H.: You are so beautiful and natural! I also love the fact that you are intelligent and articulate with no added silly-waste-of-time-chatter. Thanks for the tips and tricks...I will be sure to let you know how it worked!

Kathleen H.: So, I gave the coconut milk and lime concoction a try and it worked! My hair is soft and less frizzy and super shiny...Thanks for the advice!

Linda Keith Anderson: I love your very practical and easy DIY's! I'm especially fond of the coconut oil and lime juice...my hair seems to love anything with coconut. Thanks for a great video and take care, Linda :-)

Rabia Banu: Coconut milk and lime worked just perfect for me, it was quick like applying oil as I used a hair color tippy container, and it did make my hair silky soft just in one use. I literally can say they look from an advertisement, not bragging just humbled and want to share it with people who have suffered frizz for decades

Mila: just finished rinsing my hair of the yogurt + honey recipe! i rinsed my hair with cold water this time, and immediately i noticed the difference. I'm just waiting for it dry now and really see the results. thanks andrea :) X

tevvie: You always manage to look natural, yet flawless. Btw thanks for the vid it'll definitely help me.

FeuerUndWasser2009: There is seriously no amount of thank yous I could ever say that would describe how greatful I am for your helpful tips my hair is frizzy and thin and has seriously no volume at all no matter what I do but with your tips and tricks my hair is soft and healthy and amazing and your sea salt spray seriously made my acne nearly dissapear thank you sooooo much

Ellie Aftekhar: The second remedy works amazingly for dry and damaged hair. Specially for bleached hair :D

Jay Cooke: Loveeee it! Always had naturally curly hair...only one in my family, so no one ever helped me tame it! Learning now! Love your channel!

Venus G.: Thanks for sharing the DIY conditioners! I have frizzy hair so I hope that the conditioner & advice you gave towards the end of the video will help to get rid of frizz!

Kayakroar: The Cocnut and Lime (I used Lemon Juice! ^.^) combination really worked, i mixed it with the damaged hair strengthening mask and it left my hair looking and feeling amazing! Thank you soo much! x

K3ROKO: Also, other good tip is that don't cut your hair too short. The shorter and lighter your hair is, the puffier it gets. Plus, I recommend to tie your hair when you go to sleep. That way when you wake up your hair won't look like after an explosion, like mine does. I braid my hair loosely (I also use some bobby pins to set it right) before I go to sleep. I'd use some kind of night cap too if I found a good one. I bet it would work too. I've been using the olive oil thing and cold water for over two years now and they work. I think I'll start using the coconut DIY too, just because my hair is super curly and frizzy. 8)

Arianna Silva: I do the re wet your hair tip everyday when I have time to wait for it to dry. I am totally using your other tips!!

ILike Msp o-e: Im 12. When i was small i had wavy shiny hair but as i got older it turned frizzy ive never put heat on it or dyed it.

boxiebabe: Thanks for the tips. Looking forward to trying them. Just a quick tip in case nobody else mentioned it, try turning your lime the other way in the squeezer. You'll get much more juice.

Heather Marie: Thanks so much for sharing these frizzy hair remedies! :) I love natural hair and beauty things like this, and these sound GREAT.... I can't wait to try them. :) Btw, you're beautiful!

Mackenzie Lisowski: Omg! Thank you so much! My hair was so frizzy and now it is so silky and full. Once again, THANK YOU ANDREA!

Elizabeth Janyce: This video helped so much I recommend this for curly frizzy dried dyed hair my hair is now frizzy free loved it these recipes rock especially the last one

Gaem Fyu: I've tried the second mask before and it really works well with my hair !

Arita: I tried the last two tips , i re-wet my hair after brushing and did rinse hair with cold water i can say my curls have never been so curly ! thank you sooo much !

jessie: I recommend the OGX quenching + coconut curls shampoo because it's a sulfate-free shampoo and the same conditioner

Courtney Carroll: I tried all three of these on myself and my sister because we both have really frizzy hair. I have long, coarse hair and the coconut milk and lime did not work for my hair type but it worked really well for my sister, who has long, bleached straight hair. :) The yogurt and honey one worked with both of our hair types. My favorite was the evoo and conditioner because it was the easiest. XD Lol. Thank you so much for the help!

Ash ley: When I get out the shower, I put some olive oil on my wet hair and it weighs my hair down enough so when it air drys its nice and curly and not too much like a poofy afro. DONT put the olive oil on your roots just keep it from your ears down. Its a quick way to style my hair and it conditions at the same time, just dont do it too often to avoid build up.

P F: How did I not see your channel before! My curly, frizzy hair is saved! Thank you! <3

Lisa Abrahamsson: So helpful!! Just cut my hair to my shoulders so now its really curly and its also more frizzy so thank you ❤️

Simply Sabby: I love the lemon and the coconut mask. I will definitely use it. :) Thanks!!

Paige M: My hair is very curly but it seems like it's ALWAYS FRIZZY no matter what I do! Thanks so much for these tips, very helpful <3

Kaylaaa A: OMG!!! It so worked. I used the coconut milk and lime. Now my hair is curly, detangled, and not frizzy!!

Kira: I swear to god, I have straight shiny hair when I was a kid. I usually teased all those frizzy haired girl and got a karma. when puberty hits me, my hair was so damn puffy and frizzy, I sometimes want to shave my hair so I'll be bold. but well, I searched this, and DOES THIS REALLY WORKS?!

Alexzander FitEnergyBliss: i Like that you mentioned that cold water closes out pores aswell the cold water naturally turns the coconut oil into a solid thus +defense verse humidity/frizz by also locking in moister, Cold pressed EV Coconut oil still is a good choose.

Andrea De Ocampo: Thanks for the tips! Finally, we have a cure for the frizz aha :p

Daisy Yan: Thank u so much Andrea! My hair has been so staticy lately and your tips really helped! Awesome video!!!:D

Ashley Shaw: Those sound great! I have naturally curly hair too! Here's a tip too! When you're in the shower, and you're putting conditioner in your hair, comb your hair IN the shower with conditioner in your hair. I usually leave conditioner in my hair for 5-6 minutes, brush it with a comb or any brush that has enough "give", and rinse out! I find that if I comb/brush my hair after the shower, it gets WAY TOO FRIZZY!

Charlotte Arena: Brilliant tips! I have frizzy coarse caucasian hair that is wavy and extremely dry. I will definitely give these ones a go.

lexis0x: So happy I found a mixed girl with a beauty channel. Totally relatable videos and life savers too!

Lauren McAbee: I rinse with cold water and I LOVE it! Not only does it reduce frizz, but it gives my hair beautiful shine! :)

Jaianna: Yeah about what you said about the coconut milk.. I started to drink the milk product called Silk and I got the coconut milk one and it tastes really nice. It makes me feel lighter and it's less ... idk  it's lighter than regular milk, it doesn't make me feel bloated. And when I drank coconut milk every morning with my breakfast, I noticed after about a day or two that my hair got really soft and more defined. The natural oils on my scalp actually started to increase ( that's good so it can help your hair grow faster, and yes I did wash my hair every other day I'm not dirty ) . So yes coconut milk for me has worked for my hair and also my stomach :)

LaVidaAlvita: Love this!!!! Much needed for my hair, thanks!!!! <3

aja2128a: I tried the coconut milk with lime its really amazing.. thank you for the recipe.

my2cents2u:    A lot of people try to use olive oil, either plain or mixed with something, and find that it is too heavy or too greasy for their hair. (I have baby fine hair, can't use it.) 2 great alternatives are argon oil or coconut oil.     A note about olive oil for those who are unfamiliar with it. It has a low melting point. Kept in my cabinet, it is liquid in the summer, and solid (like shortening)  in the winter. To melt it for use, put it in a small bowl or jar and place it in a larger bowl or pan of hot water. I've heard that microwaving it or heating it in a pot ruins some of the beneficial properties. I haven't been able to confirm this, but until I do I'll play it safe.

Nessy: Nice tips Andrea! Only thing I have to add is that the tip for rinsing with cold water is only useful is your hair is already damaged OR is naturally high in porosity. That means that if you hair soaks up water quickly but dries quickly too, then that tip may work. Otherwise, if you have hair with low porosity that takes forever to get wet and takes forever to dry, rinsing with cold water does not really help. That has been the case for me, at least. Great tips otherwise! :)

Lesila Tupou: Please make more DIY'S Andrea!

WinnieHarlow7: So at the moment I have a honey preshampoo treatment on my hair and I've had it on for an hour going on 2. It has Shea butter, coconut oil (I wish I got coconut milk :/), protein hair serum, conditioner and of course HONEY! Honey naturally draws moisture to your hair so hopefully it helps my dry ass hair! Lol

Vanessa Gomez Caballero: i bought that same yogurt a few days ago because i thought it was going to taste good WRONG! But now i found a reason to use it! Thank you so much! :D

shrut_loops: Omg the olive oil/conditioner one worked AMAZING, my normal thick frizzy hair is SO smooth and soft and tame, I cant thank you enough.<3 Im so happy. :'D

fatimah: This Helped me so much!!! thanks!!! I mixed aloe, conditioner, lime juice, honey, an olive oil to make amazing hair mousse!!!

Nilooo Bocaa: My lovely love! Thank you for this, but I have one tip for juicing your limes. Flip the lime over (hill side up) when squeezing the juice with your lime juice gadget. It helps :)

MsLach09: i tried the coconut milk and lemon recipe cuz i had no lime but it turned out perfect!! its also good for when you go to the beach like an after conditioning treatment!

Cristina Ponce: I have poofy, curly, short, frizzy hair. And I think this will help! Thanks so much!

indigo pastel: I tryed the first one today and already I can see a change in my hair love it xxxxx

AthenaRowe: Or if you're lazy and don't really like to wait hours with hair masks on,but still want great hair you can just use coconut oil with your conditioner every time you wash your hair! Mix some coconut oil with your conditioner (super lazy girls may put the oil directly in the cointaner, just saying),wet you hair and apply the mixture ( not too much on your scalp, plenty on the tips)  and leave it for few minutes while you go on with your shower/bath scrubbing, shaving and everything. If you have curly hair you should gently brush it with this conditioner on then rinse it off  and apply&rinse your shampoo as usual and... you‘re done. Air dry or use a dryer with diffuser after styling your hair with some styling foam or gel or whatever you fancy. Yes,the shampoo is AFTER the conditioner to remove the extra oil moisture.

CamileFernie: I found that curling my hair with my fingers has really reduced frizz! It seriously has done wonders for my hair, so curly gals I advice you finger curl your hair. When so use a leave in conditioner.

Elaina Garcia: Thank you I was burn with curly hair and when I stared to grow up it got really frizzy and this actually worked for my hair.

Leigh Postrano: hello, im Leigh,(as you can see my hair,,.. its frizzy) i tried the coconut and lime and it was really really effective..  i did also your "DIY Hair Lightener! ♡ Using honey" and i love the effect.. maybe after several used i will post some pics in your Facebook page.. . i also like you acne  vids about DIY acne treatment and mask.. . all in all i like your vids about hair and acne thing :) .. . what i notice is your teeth there so so wow like its white and great gums..  so if you don't mind, i want to request some teeth and gums DIY and tutorial and tips and stuff and everything (sorry if im so demanding or its to many request) i just really like to watch and see your vids because its not boring and its fun.. .honestly i have a smelling face while watching.. .   thanks ;) greeting from Thailand.. .

Ciao Cole: Your hair is just like mine. I really want to try the coconut and lime treatment. Thanks for the tips!

LPfafinette: Btw I love these diy at home tutorials.

RandomofMareth08: I tried and I love it. Thank you to make this helpful video!

auneye armstrong: for my whole life i've been putting chemicals in my hair straightening blow drying it, never in my life did i wear my hair naturally curly DOWN to school. but now it's different! <3

Katrina: For the lime & coconut milk treatment, do you apply the conditioner to dry or wet hair?

Fabi -ulous: Hi Andrea!!! Just want to tell you how much fun I have watching your channel ... I love your ideas :))) one little thing on this video I think you are using the lime squeezer wrong .. the cut part of the lime should be facing down ... That way you will get more juice out of the lime

Eymi C: Andrea is like the only youtuber that has kind of my type of hair!!! i love her!!

CHARIZARD_VMAX: I have really dry hair and these tips actually helped me!!

Lala Desy: You can close your hair cuticle with cold aloe Vera juice. It helps with detangling and shine

Adriana Treviño: the first recipe is also for puffy hair!! i tried it and it made wonders for my hair that is SOOO puffy

TheCrazyCupcakeKid: This was really helpful, as my hair gets quite frizzy. :)

Wendy Harrington: love it! finally gives me ideas to change up my look a bit!!

EveForPrez Youkana: When should I apply coconut oil to my hair, when it is wet or dry? And should it be applied only on the ends of my hair or all over? My hair is a mixture of wavy and straight but it is extremely thick and poofy. I was hoping that one of these masks could help me out as well as using some coconut oil but i don’t know if coconut oil will be able to tame my frizz.

Lisete A: The t-shirt tip is sooooo helpful! I no longer need a towel! :D <3

Shauna Hilton: This video helped a lot with my frizzy hair. I had no idea that hot water did that. Thank you

Zalika Issiakou: I brush mine after I wash out half of my conditioner then brush out all of my knots then I rinse with cold water. It works really well for mixed girl hair!

Jenna Dillard: This should work perfect for me because my hair does what it wants me and my mom have tried everything. My mom has spent so much money on my hair it's redicilous. Nothing has worked so I will definitly try this. A week ago I made my own shampoo and it actually made my hair a little better. I made it out of olive oil, milk, honey, and room temp. water.

aley georges: the honey and yogurt one is good for acne too !!!!

Cindy Rivas: I have super thick curly hair and realized that it is really helpful for the texture of the curl to stay nice and pretty, to de-tangle my hair while in the shower with my conditioner still in it; it helps me not damage it as much and saves me about 15 minutes of struggling to detangle it.  I let it sit in a bun while I shave and then rinse out in shower, so when I come out I can just towel dry and add product :P

MCproductions001: Mix olive oil and honey! It is a great idea and works well

Eileen Garcia: I tried the coconut with lime and I also tried the conditioner with Olive e oil it is awesome I love it it makes my hair so soft

jericho1315: Thank you so much for these tips. I have big frizzy poofy hair and I don't know what to do with it. I do have a question. How often would you use the coconut milk/ lime juice mixture?

Madz: Andrea!! I thought you might like the video I uploaded because its a DIY video about making lipsticks out of CRAYONS. I know right? It sounds crazy but it really works and I just thought you would like it considering you LOVE lipstick and you are the queen of diy so you might really enjoy doing it! Please thumbs this up so she can see it!!

Clara Lyden: You should do a video for DIY treatments and everyday tips to get rid of/prevent oil and grease build-up in hair! :)

Kristen Queen: The cold water thing really works. I usually always after rinsing out my conditioner I turn off the hot water and use cold and my hair usually isn't really frizzy, well I quit doing that and my hair now after it dries looks like a tree and I have straight hair. So imagine have straight hair being frizzy like a tree.

Sammy Rico: Omg I just did this and my hair already looks great

stephanie santos: you're so pretty and so helpful!

Roar: Also, going to the Co Washing technique really helps with curly hair, and if you cannot do that, make sure your shampoo has no sulfates and your conditioner has no silicone. HUGE difference.

Sarah Han: I brush my hair in the shower when I am conditioning it and it works REALLY well for me :)

Joetta Slanger: This is random, but I noticed when you had the lime in the juicer, you had it facing cut side up. If you put the lime in the juicer cut side down it catches the pulp and seeds better and your able to squeeze more juice out :)

Tristin Sahlie: I'm gonna try these for sure! Thanks girl :)

désirée la fleur: How does lime help hair? My first assumption is that lime is highly acidic and would strip your hair of the oils it needs. I can see how itll clean your hair as it does with skin, but im curious how that wouldnt dry out frizzy hair

sun of the earth: I love your channel, I used all the remedies from this video and other videos for hair and my hair looks healthy !!! I tried many many many ......many things and non worked. but after did what you said my hair look so hot now, I feel in love with it and I sleep with it every night I love you and I love your channel, you are the best youtuber eveeeeeeer !!!

Yazmin Ali: I feel like andrea puts a lot of effort in her video's, a lot more than other youtubers so I just wanna take te time and say thanks, UR AMAZING! you didn't have to try 3 different masks and wash ur hair over and over again but you did. On top of that you squeezed it all into 6 minutes and I personally am greatful xx I LUV U!

Errica Ortiz: My hair hasnt been like this for years! thanks I did the 2nd remedy!

Tiera Brianne: But doesn't the acid in limes hurt your hair?

Taylor A: Thank you for these recipes! this video helped me so much! i love you and your videos:-)!!!

adavi: I detangle and part my hair right after I put conditioner in. Then I just tilt my head into the water to rinse it and scrunch with a t shirt. I don't have to detangle anymore and my hair is super soft and frizz free!

Leticia Beathriz: THE THIRD ONE omg my hair was so so wasted and i started using the olive oil and omg my hair is SO soft now and its shiny and it used to be tangled all the time but now even when its dry i can put my fingers through it its just AMAZING

Melek Er: i just tried that oil -conditioner thing and i have to say thank you for that great tipp my hair got soft love :) <3
