Hi guys so today I'm going to be doing an instant waves, hair hack with my sister, using a flat iron, so we're going to test out if it really works or not. So let's get started okay. So this is our first attempt, so I'm going to grab that much hair and I'm just going to braid it regularly and then I'm going to go ahead and flaps iron. They said that you should press the flat iron on your braids quickly, because this is supposedly going to save you time and once that's done, I'm going to unleash it, and this is what it looks like. The waves aren't really defined at all. So we decided to try it again and this time actually braided the hair tight and also I left the flat iron on her braids for about five seconds, and then I moved on to the next area of the braid just to see if this technique works better. This way, and after that, I've done that I decided not to unravel it but to let it cool before I take it down. So I just went ahead and also worked with this little braid right here, and I just did the exact same thing. I'M really curious to see how the waves are going to look like and how you find they will be on different braid sizes. So now, for this one, I added in some hairspray, because this is going to make the waves more defined, and it will last longer too also before you flat iron, keep in mind to let the hairspray settle in the hair first or just let it dry. If you do not want your hair to sizzle, when you flat iron, your hair, we also do a bigger braid, because we really wanted to see what the waves would look like, and I also hairsprayed it. Let it dry and what it did design is. I let the flat iron stay on her hair longer for about 10 seconds, because it's not the waves are not going to look even because some will be wavy and some will be straight. So, therefore, you really need to press down and let the flat iron stay longer on your hair, so go to let the cool down and I'm going to unravel the braids on the other side - and this is the result - and I really like how this one turned Out actually - and in here of course, the smaller your braids, the more defined your waves are going to be. So that's what it looked like and this braid is the one that we applied the hairspray on, and I also like the definition of this waves and I actually like this better than the others, because the waves lasted longer too. So, overall, that's what they look like now, I'm going to unleash the bigger braid on the other side - and this is what it looked like. The waves here is definitely much more looser, but if you're going for an effortless everyday beachy waves, then this is for you. So, in conclusion, if you do smaller, braids you'd get define waves. If you do bigger, braids you'd get loose waves and it is also important to braid your hair tight, so that you'll see more definition on your waves. So here are final thoughts about it. Do you like the waves in your hair? Do you like the messy tousled waves on your hair, or do you expect something better for me? I would prefer the loose waves. This is more of like crimp, though it's not necessarily like the you know the normal loose waves and stuff so, but for just definitions. They do like this heart better than like this other one yeah. I think it's kind of like more like that messy tousled effortless everyday waves, but not really defined, except for this one. So if you think that this is a good hair hat - yes, I I think so, but do you think that this would be good? Because it's sort of like you know it takes a long time for the curling iron to be on your hair. So I don't think this is like the healthiest thing for your hair, because when we were running the flat iron onto the braids it actually, the flat iron has to stay longer on her hair, especially on the bigger waves. So therefore, you know much heat supply it and the longer you know the heat is like there. I think it's kind of the same as well, if you would actually curl your hair with a curling iron as well right, but I'm yeah that it stays in your hair, yeah the heat yeah, but it's like even uhm. One of the disadvantages as well is that you actually have to really braid it until the end, because, if not you're gon na have this on is on your hair, a sprite see yep, see it that's the curl and straight so you have to two sets of Two sets of the hairstyle is one, but I think it's really cool if you're going for that kind of like hairstyle. I know I think it's cool. If you can carry it's cool, if you can rock it, it's cool. Okay, I don't know if you can really really save time just because, of course, you will have you'll take time to braid your hair, and then you know Flatiron it. So if you think it's really time consuming to actually braid your whole head. Well, thinking about, like you know, you have to braid your hair and then then you have your flat one iron. It again, so I think it's not it's going to be time-consuming, it would be right and because it's it's the same when you you know even earlier there yeah, except that you can't really get this types of waves. If you use a flat iron or a curling iron, that's right. You might need a crimper for your hair, but just in case, if you guys don't have any crimper, you can actually use this method. It'S not the healthiest thing for your hair, but if you want those instant waves, then you can use this. So I hope you guys like this video.
