We don't do emaciated thin ends around here. So, on the right hand, side, hey guys, welcome back, welcome back, what's going on subbies and what's crackalackin newbies, that's anybody! Perhaps maybe checking me out. That means taking a lookie little checking me out. Maybe for the first time, maybe for the second - it don't even matter. I don't really count. None of us do. I just want my subbies and newbies to come on in come on in come on in okay. So today you came on a good day. Yes, today. Well, we already know what's going on, if you didn't read the title of the video, i don't know why you wouldn't, but just in case you know things happen today we are going to do a relaxer and hair and trim and everything else check in and what We like to do around here is we like to check in every four weeks? This is something that we do. Okay, we around here we like to check in just to make sure that everything is going smoothly and nothing gets out of hand or out of whack to the point where we have to actually repair it. We like to do preventative maintenance around here as opposed to triage. So that's what we're doing. I just relaxed my hair last week, so i am coming in here and giving you guys the deets as they say in the streets, i'm giving you the deets. As far as how my hair is progressing - and you know making sure that i am staying on schedule as well as everybody else, okay, so with that being said, we are going to jump right into it and what i like to do is first i'd like to Talk about the products if anything has changed if anything hasn't changed. This is the point of the program where i actually give you an update on any of the products that i'm using. We already know that i have my stash. I have my staples. I have my what i call my judges: that's basically everything that's within my regimen, that is a keeper, and so with that being said, i have not used anything new. The only thing that i will say is that this last relaxer i was just going through the motions - and i totally forgot to use my leave-in delacio lacio, okay and for all those who are not familiar all of those who are coming into class. Maybe for the first time and trying to find a seat, sio is a leave-in conditioner that i like to use on relaxer day, because it's a little heavier. It'S just a little bit thicker than my normal leave-in, which is the infusium 23.. So i like to use the heavier one, because when you relax your hair, your hair can be dry. It'S going through a process, so i totally forgot to grab that bottle and i grabbed the infusion, but i think i'm okay, but just to be transparent. Because that's what we like around here, we like we like to keep it real up in these hair streets uh. I did use the infusium this time around by accident. Like i said, i grabbed the wrong bottle and just wasn't thinking instead of my lassio leave-in conditioner. Those who are not familiar with my regimen, the regimen, as well as the products will be down below anyway. So that's the only really change. That'S the only real change. I should say that has happened all the other products. You know my staples, that's exactly what i used, so we ain't wasting no time. Okay, we don't we ain't wasting, no time we jumping right to it. We ain't going to dilly, dally or fiddle faddle anymore, so we're going to jump right to it. I'M going to show you what i'm working with as far as my hair, my goal is to get to mid back. So that's why we check the length around here and uh also, like i said, just to make sure everything is smooth sailing. So we are going to get right to it. I'M going to show you what i'm working with i'm going to show you what's on top of my head and then we're going to come right back and and and see what else is going on. So without further ado and with no more delay, let's see what's going on with dolce's hair today, let's go do do do do do okay, guys, so that's the nitty-gritty on what's going on uh on top of my head. As far as my hair, i noticed that in the back after i have relaxed - and everything was you know straight - i noticed that i had a little patch. It was just a little patch, but it was enough for me to want to again i addressed things before they get out of whack, so i saw a little patch on the right hand side. So when i say patch, it was like a little bit of thinness. You know i like to have thickness all the way through to the ends we don't play around around here. We don't do thin ends around here. So, on the right hand side i noticed i was getting a little patch of thinness, so i don't know if you notice, but it's a little higher on the sides now, because i wanted everything to match. So now it's more of a um. It'S it's always been a slight flattened. U so now it's a little more of a! U so it's flat and it comes up on the sides - and i think you know what i'm talking about anyway, so yeah. I did notice that and i addressed it right away. We don't we don't play around here. As of recent, i really haven't had to trim about an inch or more. I i don't have to do that. If i were to gauge, i would say, maybe a quarter of an i'm, not exactly sure, but we've been doing well with that because again for those who aren't familiar, i like to trim do an actual trim on relaxer day and then four weeks later, when we Check back in i like to do a dusting, which is way less than an inch. It'S it's exactly how it sounds. You just take off the tippy tips of the ends and that's what i like to do, um four weeks out to make sure that i maintain whatever style i got going on uh on top of my head as well as keeping ahead of any split ends. That may occur so with that being said: yes, i it's a little shorter on the sides, but we're still making progress. Okay, we're not dismayed we're still marching towards our goal, which is mid back length, so we're still about to cross broadstride street, but again we're about. Maybe a half a toe off the curb of the street and towards the front we are reaching the peaks okay, because you know i'm trying to get to the valleys and we have reached. We are at the top of the peaks or about to reach the peaks. So everything is moving smoothly as far as what i can tell, and as far as i can feel my hair feels good. You know. Sometimes after you relax it's a little flat, so my hair may look a little flat. That'S okay! We like fluff around here, but if it's flat, it's just flat, so my hair may look a little flat this go around, but it's okay, it's okay, but the health of it is there and that's what we are concerned about. We want to maintain the health of our hair because the length will come, but the health got to be there for the length to even show up, i'm just saying you know, but yeah. We are concerned about the health. So that's why i trim the way that i do and that's why i have a trimming schedule and i encourage everyone to have their own trimming schedule to stay in front of any split ends that will occur if they're not addressed now. I will say that this time around, when i relax being that it's getting a little longer, i don't want my the timing of my relaxer as far as applying it, the application time i don't need, i don't want it to balloon and and get longer so what I did was normally i split my hair in two and i relax that way. So this time i did four. Yes, four is the magic number this time around? I think that's what i'm going to do uh moving forward. So what i did was, i split it into okay, so i split it in two parts and then i did these two parts into two parts. So i i had four parts, one two, three four and i relaxed that way and everything else was the same. I didn't do anything else different and that seemed to work well. For me, i feel like that's, that's going to help me maintain that application time and not go over it because i apply my relaxer. It takes me about roughly about 25 minutes and that's with smoothing, so i don't want to get into you know it being any longer than that so other than that i have bumped my gums long enough. I have ginger jabber and should have chatted long enough. It'S enough about me, i want to know, what's going on with you all, so you know what that means right. Anybody who wants to participate in it is roll call time, and if you don't know what roll call time is that's an open mic. That is when anybody and everybody who has some news to share this is your time to share it. Are you doing anything new with your hair, and now your hair is just shiny and new? You are amongst those that would love to hear what you got to shout about. If you are natural, how are your curls coming along? How are your trusses doing? What are you putting on your hair and how is it working for you, honey, i'm telling you. We are all ears and we are ready to hear what you got to share so with that being said, open, mic roll call, let's go down below. Let me know: what's cracking lacking, let me know if your hair is hanging and swinging and doing all that you want it to do. I would love to read it so we have gone down the menu and i think we have covered everything we set out to cover. So you know what that means. We are going to put a button on it. Yes, we are yes, we are so with that. Being said that wasn't too bad right, we were in and out okay, i want to thank you so much for dialing in and showing up. I really do appreciate it. I really do i really do and yeah we'll be back talking about some more stuff. We will jibber jabber some more, so you got ta come back for that. So you already know it's going to be the same: dolce dial it's going to be the same gucci channel. So you come on back

Sandra E: Oh yes honey chile!!! hair is looking mighty good.. The growth has really taken off ✈.. those trims are really keeping hair nice and full. ROOOLLLL CALLLL.. I'm currently at 7 weeks post relaxer, plan to relax around 9 weeks. This time I plan to lightly trim to keep ends blunt. I used to "protective style" with buns, high or low, french twists, and found out that hair does much better when I wear it out. So this year I plan to "swing and fling it" more often .

0tismadaline: Yea we are getting rid of any split ends this year, and keeping our hair simple and healthy

Queen Infinite: check!! I am here to report! Giving honor to God! I’m am thankful to report that my hair is still thriving. I did a protein treatment and it has helped tremendously! I will be relaxing this weekend at 9 weeks post relaxer! I have new length to show and probably will only need a dusting as I have been doing periodic dusting throughout the 9 weeks. Seeking and destroying split ends! I’m so excited! Thank you for making and holding us accountable!

ArtisitcAmethyst: Hey Dolce!! Just wanted to share that my stretch until June 28th has been working quite well in my favor. I recently learned about myself that it's not just the trims and the cornrows (I've been touching up since December lol) that work for my growth, but literally just a few different hair growth oils added to my routine and that's it!! 3 Indie, Natural, Vegan hair growth oils that have been doing WONDERS for the health of my scalp and few inches I've gained since only the beginning of March!! It's crazy how we think we need to be doing the most to our hair just to gain one inch, when really our hair can thrive psychotically from doing the simplest things .

Joy Silas: Dolce! You are my hair role model!!! Thanks for the update! As for me and my hair. I have been relaxed now (after 13 yrs natural) for 3 weeks. This Sunday is my check in and my dusting of my ends. I usually do roller sets for the body and volume, but for my check-ins I decided to blow dry and flat iron my hair. The issues I am running into with my hair is not being able to tell what is normal shedding and excessive shedding. I know that is silly, but I think I have PTSD from when my hair shed a lot when I was relaxed before and sadly, I did nothing about it. I am just trying to make sure I am taking care of myself via balanced diet and water intake. Lastly, the stylish who did my virgin relaxer didn't process the crown of my hair all the way (it is under-processed), so when I get my touch-up in May we will talk about it and see what needs to be done. I am praying it can be fixed since when I was natural that area had a lot of breakage and unfortunately now it feels dry compared to the rest of my hair. That's all of my update, I plan to be gentle and show love to the under-processed area until I can get it corrected.

Margie Morales: Hi Dolce I love how your hair journey is going. I've learned that trimming is so important. I'm following my trim schedule and my hair is happier for it. Thank you for sharing all your tips on how or care for our hair

Livy Soldana: Your hair is lovely. Well keeping it simple my way. My protein treatment on relaxer day is delivering results in that my hair isn’t breaking or shedding as times past. I’m also loving my mizani h2o night treatment which I use 2 evenings per week and the strands love it. I think I’m stretching to relax on week 8 instead of week 6! I’m so happy at last to see my hair be what it used to be!

June Mallen: Hiya sis. As Always your hair is looking WoW I've been keeping up with my trims and have definitely noticed changes (good changes) lol I have to stop myself,I can be a bit scissor happy when I get started! I've also been taking my vitamins and regular weekly deep conditioning treatments. Thank you so much for your help and guidance, throughout my hair journey. Very much appreciated Your Never too Young lol (ime 58 in june) to Begin something New Godbless You keep up the Good Work. ❤XXX

gemruby41: Hi Dolce! Hair is gorgeous as usual. I'm relaxing next weekend at 8 weeks post. I also purchased the Olaplex No 9 and loving it so far. Keeps my hair very lightweight.

Althea Thomas: Hey Dolce. Your hair is gorgeous as usual. Keep it up. I have been unable to cut off my thinner ends in one fell swoop. I've been trimming it away systematically every 3 months. Meanwhile my hair continues to grow nicely but I can't wait to have thickness from roots to tips.

Grace O: Absolutely stunning hair: swing, shine and length - you have it all! I would really appreciate seeing how you trim your hair now that it is so much longer. I saw you use a clip of some kind in a previous video, but how do you manage to align it so that it is straight? Hugs from Sweden.

ms.chelle: Your hair looks great as always. Yes stay on top of the trims. I found a stylist and have been getting blowouts. Looking forward to more growth on this new journey.

0tismadaline: Happy Wednesday everyone and you are looking absolutely gorgeous

Maui 0235: Glad your keeping your hair trimmed, I'm seeing videos where they literally are taking nothing off "LIKE NOTHING " you can't even see what they cut but that's why they have very thin hair at the bottom. Your hair looks great and healthy. My hair is finally coming together after my big chop last may so im excited. Keep up the good work your hair is coming right on along.

MsKiki W.: God willing I see this length simply beautiful as always we appreciate you

Marlen Rippinagle: Dolce your hair is absolutely beautiful, you inspire me a lot to keep going in my jorney. I have one question, what is the reason of very dry hair ? Blessing, sis.☺

Christel Lulu: I enjoyed watching as always ♥️

Lili Tom: Dolce, thanks for posting. Do you color your hair? If not, would you do it to cover your grey's in the future?

sweetfm2008: BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL !!! Btw, were you able to get your Precise relaxer kit?

ElsieP: Hey Dolce! I’m really sad because my hair on the left side has really broke off. It’s thinner than my right side. Anytime I comb or touch my hair a ton of hair falls out. I’m discouraged. I have an appointment tomorrow and I bet I’ll have to cut off a good portion and I’ll have to stretch my relaxer because I don’t know what else to do. Why do you think this happened?

Hilda Frank: Very very nice.

💗Dee Lovely💗: Hey Ms Dolce! can you do an updated Hair trim!

Debra Causey: Your hair skin and nails look so healthy. Do you take hair vitamins & I wish you could do us a video on makeup cause your makeup looks good also

LadyQuo Martin: Hahaha those split end think they smart!!!!!!! Not hair

Teri Peterson: Hello check out Guy Tang on YouTube along with your research on coloring hair.
