If you guys have been watching my videos, you know that i love this product and i just like to spray something on my hair before i go in, manipulating and brushing and combing. So that is a tip for you guys, never go in brushing and combing dry hair spray, some oil sheen, some moisturizer or something - and now i'm just going to be parting it off, because today i'm going for the half up half down loop. So i'm just getting that section part it off, and now that i have it um separated into two section: i'm just going to get the top section out of the way and clip it up, because we will be working with the back first today. Now i'm going to be parting, this back portion of my head into three sections, and i'm doing this just because it'll be easier to work with now that i have it sectioned off into three sections at the back. I'M just going to make sure this first section. I'M working with is detangled and combed out and i will be adding the flexi rods in into smaller sections. So i'm just getting the um amount of hair that i want out to work with, and it's just not a really small section. But it's not a large section, either just medium size, i'm using my african pride olive oil growth oil just to make sure my hair is moisturized and the mousse that i'm using it's not really a holding mousse. It is a mousse. That'S supposed to give my curls body and it's infused with different oils and, as you can see at the beginning of the video, those curls were very bouncy and i'm pretty sure it's because of the type of mousse that i use. Now i'm going in with a little bit of eco styler gel just to give it some hold and the flexi rod that i'm using today is a one inch flexi rod and um. I'M just wrapping it around the flexi rod. I'M trying to pull it tight and create some tension so that my roots will be um snug. I don't want it to be very loose, so i'm just wrapping it as tight as possible, and then i got a little bit more of that. Eco styler, gel and just went over the curl and my ends just to make sure everything would have a nice hold and to ensure that the curl is very smooth clip it up in this. It very self-explanatory, and here again i'm just going to show you guys how i did it um one more time and once again i got like a medium sized sections. I didn't do really small sections, but i didn't do large sections either and i just went in with my oil mousse and eco styler gel. That'S it. The reason why i'm brushing is because i want to make sure the hair is, you know, smooth as possible, so we can go around the flexi rod flat and smooth. I hope this makes sense yeah. I hope you guys get what i'm saying but yeah. I just want to make sure it is flat and going around the flexi rod smoothly, as you guys can see my daughter and husband in the back, and since the process is very repetitive, i'm not going to show you guys me doing the flexi rods all over. My whole head, but i will let you guys see me, do it for this section, which is just two more for those who don't really know how to do flexi rods. So i will um. Do it two more times, so you guys can see exactly what i'm doing so. Okay, now we're um to the top section, and i'm just getting that brushed up really good and what i did to make it flat was. I put some eco styler gel, of course, and then i put a little bit of mousse on it too just to help it lay flex because keep in mind i am scratching my relaxer, so i just put those products on there and try to hold it real Tight to get that ponytail as smooth as i could - and i put all my flexi rods in going towards the back throughout the back of my head, and i pretty much did the same thing at the front. I put them all in going towards the back and i did four um flexi rods at the top, and i used nine at the back and now i'm just gon na go in with my favorite edge control and get my edges laid down smooth. I feel like baby, hair and sleek edges make any hairstyle look better, so i'm just getting that taken care of real quick now to taking out the flexi rods. This is so important how you take them out. If you take them out wrong, you can totally um disrupt the curls. So when i take them out notice, i put all my curl my flexi rods in going towards the back. So when i take them out, i am going backwards with the flexi rod. I'M not just pulling it out any type of way because they can really um ruin the curl and make your hair freezy, and i was trying to um keep my curls as put together as possible, because i do want this hairstyle to last me for a while. So i didn't do a whole bunch of fluffing and pulling the curls apart, because when you do that it'll get freezing faster and, of course the curls are going to drop throughout the day. So it's really well, i'm not going to say it's no need, but that's just not what i chose to do so. Yeah, while taking taking your flexi rods out, be sure to take them out in the same direction that you put them in in order to keep your curls nice and um put you know nice and tight, and now i'm just gon na get a small section of The hair and wrap it around the ponytail holder. I just think it looks better that way, then just to have the ponytail holder, showing you know, make it look a little fancy and i just use the hair, clamp bobby, pin just to hold it in place. And now i'm going to separate the curls um and, like i told you guys, i really want this style to last. So i didn't do a lot of separating. I may be separating each curl um, two or three times and just the same as when taking the flexi rods out. When you take the when you separate the curls, you want to make sure you are twisting them in the same direction that the curl is going. This will just help to prevent frizz and also me spraying some of the um luster's pink shine oil on there. That will help prevent frizz as well um. If you guys, like a fluffier look, you can go ahead and flip your curls out more but, like i said i wanted this hairstyle to last me, i'm on, like my hair growth journey, so less manipulation, it's possible. I want these curls to last. I just want to time down at night and get up and my hair is done, so i did not do a whole bunch of separating curls and stuff like that. I just did enough so that um, you know it looked decent and my parts were not showing at the back, but i didn't make it real big. But if you want to make yours big, just go ahead and separate those curls into smaller sections, and it will look really good if you guys, like this video, don't forget to give me a thumbs up, go ahead and subscribe to my channel for more hair content.
