Hi everyone welcome to my channel, i'm jody janelle and today i'm going to be doing another nighttime hair routine. For you guys, i'm going to show you how i do my pin curls and i really love doing this method, because this is how i get really nice volume in my hair super cute curls, without using any heat on my hair. So the first thing i do is just detangle my hair comb, it through very well - and i always always going with my growth hair oil. I really love this product. I can really see the change in my hair. I naturally have really fine thin here and it takes forever to grow. So since i've been using this product, i can really see a change, and whenever i use this oil, i always go in with my little shampoo brush to really massage my scalp and i'm also going to go in with some argan hair oil. I really love using this product as well. It makes my hair feel so soft and smooth, so i'm just going to go in with a few pumps, really work it through my hair and especially the ends of my hair. They get really really dry. So to do these pin curls, i use a small size roller, it's the same rollers i use to dry my hair and then i'm going to use some bobby pins, not the tight ones. I like the ones that have like a little space in between it, so it doesn't crease my hair and when i'm parting, my hair, i do it pretty much the same way. I do my wet roller set when i'm drying my hair. I work in three main sections: two large sections on the side and one going down the middle. So i just separate my hair first, i clip up the two sides with a little hair clip and then i always start on the middle first. I just find it easier to work with the longer pieces of my hair first and then, as i'm sectioning, i always detangle as i go as well so um when i'm parting for these pin curls. I don't want to part too big of a section um. I'M not really worried about getting a super clean part, um, just the right amount of hair, and then i grab my hair. I roll it really tightly around the roller. I do want my hair to be loose. I want a really nice tight curl and once i get that roller, nice and in place, what i do is i twist the roller in the same direction. My hair is wrapped around it and i just twist and slowly pull it out from my hair. So, what's going to be left is the curl pattern left in my hair from the roller, and i want to keep it in place with my finger and then i just grab the top of my hair and then gently lay the hair curl flat against my scalp And then i secure that with one of those bobby pins, and this is where it's important - to use the bobby pins that have some space in it, because if you use the really tight bobby pins, when you secure the curl, it's going to leave a really big Crease right on top of the curl, so this is the process i do all. Throughout my hair, i keep sectioning grabbing pieces of my hair. I wrap it tightly around the roller all the way down to my scalp and then once i get the roller in place. Nice and firm, i again, i slowly twist it the same direction. My hair is curled around the roller and then slowly pull it out to the side. I want to make sure i take my time because i don't want to pull my hair out from the roller and then i secure it with my finger and then i grab the top of the curl twist it to the side and lay it flat against my Scalp and again all of my pin curls i secure with the bobby pin and when doing this kind of nighttime routine whenever you're picking the size roller just remember the smaller the ruler use the tighter your curls are going to be, and it's important to try to Keep that tight, curled shape when you're laying the curl down against your scalp. You don't want to let go of the curl and let your hair get loose. You want to keep it in that tight, curl pattern and with this kind of method, because i'm not using any heat. Obviously the longer you keep your hair curled, the tighter your curls are going to be, sometimes, if i'm not going anywhere for the weekend. I'Ll just keep my hair pin the whole weekend, sometimes it's just overnight, and even with that, my hair retains a lot of curl and a lot of volume, because my hair is really fine and thin. It normally does not hold on to any type of volume. So i really like using this method, so this is just a back view like i said, i'm not really worried about any sharp parts or lines. I just want to get a nice section of my hair and again i roll it down to my scalp hold the curl with my finger. Then i just twist it to the side, lay down flat against my scalp and then i secure it with a bobby pin. I don't just do this process when i want to get curls in my hair um. Let'S say on my wash days when i roller set and dry my hair, but i don't want to sleep with rollers. I hate sleeping with rollers, it's so painful after i comb. My hair out, i will just pin curl my hair too, because it's already in the curl pattern from my rulers. So if you guys haven't seen my wash day, video or my roller set video, i'm going to link those videos down below, please go watch those. Let me know how you like: it always always leave a thumbs up, and let me know if you have any comments or feedback for me and also comment down below. If you try this nighttime routine method, let me know how you like it or let me know what suggestions you guys have. What methods do you use at home when you want to get some curls in your hair? You don't want to use any heat. Let me know what you guys do and i love to try that method too see if it works for my hair, so i'm just going to go through and finish up. The sides of my hair - and one thing you might notice when i'm pulling the ruler out, is that, with my opposite hand, i hold my hair, that's wrapped around the ruler. I keep my fingers around it, so it doesn't slip off while i'm pulling the ruler out, because i don't want to disturb that curl that the ruler made with my hair. So that's another reason. I try to get it nice and tight around the roller, and then i hold it with my three fingers. While i twist and slip the roller out so on the sides, i um just did three parts on the side in the middle. I think i had maybe like seven little pin curls on the sides. I just had three and that's pretty much the main pattern i use this is what my hair is looking like at the end, nice and curled. So what i do now, i always like to go in with a little hairspray. This is the herbal essence holding spray, and i just go in with a little bit of this guy just to help. My hair um hold that curl that it's in and then i always go in with my satin scarf. I always try to use satin or silk products on your hair, guys, um anything, cotton, beast or anything like that. It'S just going to dry out your hair and all that moisture you spend time putting in it. It'S just going to soak it up. So now i'm just going to go to bed, and this was when i was letting my hair down. I'M already set to go. So i unwrap my hair, and the first thing i do is just take the pins out to see what my curls are looking like. So i'm just going to go in with a little bit of gel to lay my edges down um, i'm about five or six weeks post relaxer. So you can kind of start to see it in my edges. So i just want to get them nice and laid, and then, while i work on the rest of my hair, i just lay my satin scarf down on my edges, just for a couple minutes while they dry and then i go in again with a little more Argan oil rub it around in my hands, run it through my curls my fingers, and then i use a wide tooth comb to comb through my hair and i take my time. I try not to go too fast because i don't want to disturb the curls too much and i don't want my hair to get fuzzy and too too big, but still have a lot of volume to it. So i just play around with my hair, i'm styling, just how i like, and once i'm done combing through my hair. I use my finger and i kind of just twirl it around strands of my hair, just to get more of that curl pattern back. If the comb brushed it out too much - and this is what the back of my hair is looking like - my hair looks so full and bouncy and it's quite the opposite guys. My hair is really thin. So i love using this method and i would love for you guys to try it too, so that's it for this nighttime routine guys. Shundra Denese Thornton: Thank you for this video! I've watched hundreds before to find a night routine. None were of my hair type. Your video mostly resembles my.hair type, and tour process was quite simple, yielding Amazing results.

Tisser 57: Amazing. The results are great. Thanks for sharing. I never thought to use a roller as a form for a pin curl. Good idea.

Barbara Blackman: This is a good idea, I have thin, fine hair also and stopped relaxing my hair several years ago. I didn't know that with my hair I could get the same results as relaxed hair (almost) with a wet set, try it. I always pinned curl my hair at night. I like your makeup.

Barbara Blackman: Oh yeah, I what to tell you one other thing; the reason I really stopped relaxing my hair was I noticed the thinning edges. The more you relax your hair the thinner it will get. After years of this process, it took a toll on my hair; I pray you will heed and stop now. Also a lot of people do a big chop, I chopped the back of then just trimmed gradually until the relaxer was gone.

srich28: I have fine hair as well and this is very helpful!!!

Roselind Thomas: That's exactly how I do mine
