Hey guys welcome back to my channel if you are new here, I am April sunny and today I just want to share with you my summer, haircare regimen. There has been a little bit of change in that and I just want to share that with you guys. So if you have not yet subscribed, go ahead and like share and subscribe, and let's get into this video one thing that I have started already is shampooing and deconditioning weekly. I'Ve done this mainly because I live in Baltimore and the pollen honey. The pollen has been out of control this year. I mean it hit in a hit hard, so I started shampooing weekly just to get that stuff out of my head because I have allergies and when my allergies are triggered, my eczema is triggered and I get eczema in my scalp as well guys. So I started making sure that stuff is not lingering and the crazy part about it is. I can smell it. I know when it's like piling up in my hair, so I have definitely started to shampoo and decondition weekly and it's been great for me. What that mean is I braids my hair down every week it gets braided down every week, so washday a week goes by wash day and I braid it down wash day week. Braid it down. Okay, in between that week span or whatever I do not rebreathe my hair, I literally just put it up in a pineapple and I put my bonnet on and I go to sleep, that's it that's all I'm doing for that week. So the reason I do not read my hair down during that week span is because I was doing that before and I know that my hair was breaking unnecessarily only because I was manipulating it more and I didn't really need to do it. But I wanted to do it because you know fresh braids out is: where is that? But I have actually fallen in love with you know my hair, just kind of being wild and all over the place by the end of the week. I'Ve cut the Reeb rating out because it caused unnecessary breakage. Now, as far as moisturizing and sealing, I am moisturizing and sealing every other day that comes with a complimentary scalp, massage and my moisturizing and sealing routine. That has not changed. So if you have not checked that video out, I will link it somewhere either up there or down there, so I will link it somewhere. That has not changed. That is the same daily. I use organic coconut oil just to wake my hair up moisture. I put a little bit of moisture in there and also at a beautiful shine to my hair. My hair absolutely loves it. Since I've been putting coconut oil on my hair daily, I've noticed I really don't need hot oil treatments. I haven't been doing any hot oil treatments and I will not be doing any how old treatments this summer that has been cut out and replaced with daily. You know: application of coconut oil yeah. As far as my protein treatment, I will be getting my protein through my deep conditioner and my leave-in conditioner. I use the Alpha G leave-in conditioners like a liquid. I use that during my loc method yeah, so I use the loc method when applying my leave-in conditioners. I will be using that during the loc method process. I hope that made sense. Let me just I wrote it down. Let me make sure I covered everything. Oh and this whole co-washing thing. I do not replace my shampoos with koulos. I have not. You know. I haven't wrapped my head around the whole cold, washing thing, I'm not against it. I just I don't really believe that would work for me in my head. It'S like the equivalent of getting in the shower and putting lotion on and expecting your skin to be clean. Like I haven't, I haven't, I haven't wrapped my head around that and I'm not sure if I will, you know shampooing with a moisturizing chin. Who is quite fun for me, so I will not be doing any Co washes if you guys have used a co washing product that you believe really cleanses your scalp and keeps your hair moisturized comment that product down below. I would love to try it. I just haven't found one that you know I can like. I don't know guys. I just I I haven't found a product that I trust and believe it's actually going to. You know cleanse my scalp and moisturize my hair like and and get the product build up off like I don't know, I'm just not with it yet so that is pretty much it you guys. That is my summer mission for a healthy, scalp and hair. If it sounds simple, it's because it is, I did that on purpose. I want my hair care regimen to be as simple as possible. It is summertime I want to go outside. I want to have fun. I don't want to be sitting in a house for a day you can keep doing my hair for that day. Like know that, I will not be doing it so comment down below. Some of you know the changes that you're going to be making to your haircare regimen this summer to simplify it and until the next time, guys below

Classy Nicky: Omg girl I've had eczema in my scalp all my life especially when my hair was natural. Since I started my haircare journey and I wash my hair weekly, it's so better now. I use to get alot of flakes but now my scalp only itches. I also oil my scalp with sulfur 8 and that helps too.

jolyne renelle: Girl I love a good wild braid out too...you know what's up! I guess it's always summer in the Caribbean...cuz I be doing these on the regular! Great vid as always

Alexia Neckles: I agree with you about co-washing, literally feel the same about it

Mahalia Silver Stacker: I does do a deep conditioning every week, because I live in the Caribbean and there is a serious dry season and keeping hydrated along with the L.O.C method. Great video

Mocha Mommy: Just so you know.... co-wash is not to be used INSTEAD of Shampoo.  It is for in between wash days so if you shampoo weekly, but day 3 you go swimming or do Hot Yoga you would co-wash then still shampoo on your regular schedule.

Shirlz: Well - I could not get my head around co-washing either girl, seriously. I tried it once many many years ago using that famous coconut conditioner in the blue bottle and I tried it with the strawberries and cream one....my relaxed hair felt filmy and just over coated. Now its 2019 and we have the introduction of many new specific co-wash cos so I just thought I'd try one (it was cheap as chips and on offer in Boots at the time so why not!) It's the Tresemme sulfate free system; no foaming cleansing conditioner. My 11 weeks post 4b/c hair feels so soft that detangling is so much easier and my relaxed hair doesn't have that horrid coated feel so for me it's a winner. I'm tempted to try other dedicated co-wash conditioners now too, such as Shea Moisture's coconut and hibiscus co-wash x

CC@Gemini: The Pollen I didn't think about that damn Pollen. Those are some great tips. During the summer I wear lots of Fedora straw hats. They are great with my outfits day or night and keep the sun at bay when it's extremely hot. I need a hair tutorial for those braids.

African Princess Rams: Thank you so much dear for sharing. It's worth hearing from you

gemruby41: Which protein deep conditioner do you use?

Annette Williams: I gotta keep that in mind that pollen do get in our hair.

kate amankwaa: Do you mean you wash your hair and braid it to dry and undo the braids to rock the curls for the whole week till the text wash and repeat the same process

Sapphire Relaxed Hair: Shea moisture Jamaican black clarifying shampoo, not this works for me it cleanses my scalp pulling up all those dead skin cells and it also keeps my new growth moisturize. Keep in mind everyone here is different cuz a lot of people ask me about this particular clarifying shampoo because a lot of people cannot use shea moisture has on their relaxed hair but it loves my my natural hair state is a 3c, so it works pretty good in my hair tfs God bless you

Glacia Graham: AS I AM JAMAICAN BLACK CASTOR OIL REPAIR AND RESTORE CO WASH

Titi Talabi: Baltimore gang

Sandra Phongo: The as I am cowash
