The style of the curls depends on the length of your hair, the size of the rod, and the size of the section of hair wrapped on each rod. Hey guys today, I will be showing you how I use perm rods on my relaxed hair. I am starting out on freshly washed new conditions and air dried hair. I start by moisturizing and sealing my hands with the leaving conditioner and the olive oil and detangling my hair thoroughly from the bottom. I will be using the medium-sized run in firm rubs and the small size half inch firmer. I got these from my local beauty. Supply store now I'm going to start with the back of my head. I am parting small sections and you don't have to actually part I'm just separate the sections with your finger, but that's what I'm doing you don't want your sections to be too big or it won't curl correctly around the rod so make sure you have the perfect Size section for your curved line: now I am taking a small amount of the lot of bottom and moisturizing hair milk and adding that to my hair and following it with a brush. I'M doing this to alleviate frizz, because I have my flat iron to my hair. So I wanted the curls to be as smooth and freeze free as possible when you're rolling your hair on the rod, make sure you tuck the ends tightly to alleviate, unravel and just to create a smoother curl. Also be careful while curling bear in the roller, because perm rods tend to snag on the hair a bit, so you kind of have to be precise when rolling them when using perm rod. You don't have to worry too much about the spacing or placement of the rod, because normally or what I do is I normally separate the curls once I take the rollers out of my head, so you don't have to worry too much about special, spacing or special Parting, unless you want a particular style once I'm done, I lay down my edges with some moisturizer and I make sure I the scarf around my head I'll, take the cross down we're taking the curls I'll, be very careful not to snag your hair, because I'm telling You perm rods can get really tangled if you don't take them out properly, so just make sure you're not snagging or snapping to hear from you now, I'm just going to take a little bit of olive oil between my fingers and use it to spread out the Curls and fluff them up, I'm not using any particular technique, I'm just separating the curls and fluffing them out and just switching sides. Seeing where I like this, what works best, you can try lots of different styles with these. This is a great way to keep heat off of your hair, but that's pretty much it. RinoaRX: Hello there! Thank you for this tutorial. The only time I was getting perm rods on my hair was when I go see my hair stylist, although I own perm rods at home. I wanted to learn how to use perm rods myself in order to avoid direct heat on my hair and allow my hair to grow. I grew up using wire mesh rollers on my hair, but learned to love perm rods because of the curls they give as well as they are more comfortable to sleep in at night. Up until this point, if I wanted a roller set using the perm rods my mother would do it for me but I wanted to get used to using perm rods on my hair. I have the pink and orange rollers which give a small and medium curl respectively. I like watching videos of how perm rod roller sets but yours is the best one that helped me, especially for relaxed hair. Thanks again!
