Hi guys today's tutorial is going to be on this extremely informal and very cool hairstyle. It was requested on Facebook and it's inspired by Angelina Jolie's hair in Gone in sixty Seconds movie. So if you want to know how I created it, then please keep on watching. There can be two versions of this hairstyle, but the wonder the color clean version and the one that they call it dirty version where the clean version. The only thing you need to know is how to create the rope braid and the rope. Braid is the easiest thing ever so we just need to take all our hair brush it well so, and that split in two sections, each of these sections we want to twist in the same direction. So let's say we'll twist in the counterclockwise direction like so and like so for the second section, so we keep twisting that until we start reaching the ends of the sections and once we reach the ends, we want to start twisting those two sections in the opposite Direction so if we were twisting the hair in the counterclockwise direction like so then now we want to twist those two sections of hair in the clockwise direction. We keep on twisting the hair tool as we twist the two sections around each other and as you reach the end, you want to secure your braid with an elastic band. So this is my rope right and for the clean version of the hairstyle, you would just need to create multiple roll, great hell over your hand. In a moment, I'm going to show you how you'd have to arrange - and I call this a conversion, because it's very easy to do - you don't need to use special products and you just need to have tiny elastic bands to secure your braids at the ends. And here comes the dirty version of this hairstyle. One of the reasons why I called it dirty is that you cannot apply it to freshly shampooed hair. Yes, you have to wait a couple of days day or two before you can try to create this. Look. It'S been 1/2 days since I washed my hair and I think it's going to be fine, so I will be creating twists from bottom up. You can see I've sectioned off my hair and already created a couple of twists and to create the twists. I'M taking one-inch wide sections of hair and i texturize that with special products you could have used special styling wax. For example, I've tested, Garnier Fructis, it works just fine or you could use a style and paste. This is Schwarzkopf, got to be styling paste with a matte finish, and I think matte finishing is exactly what we need for this look. So each section that I take, I want to texturize for this purpose. I scoop a little bit of this paste. I apply it on my hand, and I rub my hands like so to work it up and spread it all over my hands. Just before I apply the product onto my section of hair. I want to apply it evenly from the roots to the ends, and then I just carefully twist my hair. This twist shouldn't be too tight cause. If we twist our hair too tightly, it will be prone to unwind and we don't want that. Do something like so and I see how it looks like if it tends to unwind still, then I might want to add some more product and distribute it over this section. As I said, I work in layers from bottom up, so once I'm done with one layer, I want to secure this hair. Additionally, with a hair spray, I just spray it making sure that there's enough hairspray at the ends too and proceed with the remaining hair. Now that I am done with all the twists on the bottom parts of my hair, I want to create some twists on top and I want to create them in such a manner that all the hair goes away from the face. This is the finished. Look. I hope that you like it as much as I do, because I'm totally ready to step out then shock all my friends tonight. Please keep in mind that under any circumstances, you shouldn't brush your hair, slow when it's in this state, but it will be time to undo your hair. Just take a shower wash your hair with your shampoo and apply some good hair condition after you wash it off. Your hair should be back to normal. I hope you enjoyed my video today and I thank you very much for watching bye, bye,

Fancylooks: @lilithedarkmoon It is not a secret, but I want to keep it a surprise. It will be a long, long, long time untill I do it, but I'll do it, somehow, maybe next year, because I know I will enjoy doing it and trying this dredlocks trick. Thank you.

Starchild91: Thank you so much for this! I've always wanted dreads, but I know that once you do get dreadlocks it's not just to go back to your normal hair if you change your mind. Spify23: My hair dresser did something similar in my hair for my prom. Albeit my hair was a lot shorter than yours (just about shoulder length). I prefer her way as it is so much easier to get out. She used simple hairspray and a hair straightener to lock the hair in place. It also didn't leave the greasy/stickiness that most waxes leave in your hair. Her method was twist, hair spray and run the straightener down it. She also add a a layer of curls every 2 layers of dreads and then randomly pinned piec

agAlicja: swietny pomysł!!! napewno skorzystam z tej propozycji na sylwestra wyglada bombowo i proste w wykonaniu:) dzieki za pomysł. pozdrawiam Cie serdecznie

Alexis Rose: your so creative!! i havnt washed my hair in a few days so this is perfect!!!

wolfylu: @KittyKaminsky i have straight hair, and i've done it. it creates an interesting wave pattern, not spirals but still pretty. but the ends will still be straight since you have to tie them off. maybe if you tried bunning them too? to give the ends some bend. also the french rope braid is great because it just ensures that the top portions of your hair are also curled.

Born on Sunday: omg I've always wanted to know what I would look like with them on but always was too scared to create real ones haha, this video was just what I was looking for =) thank you

sunlightwomen: cool, love it, it looks great on you:)

Kathleen Ryan: First off let me say that I love dreads. One of the most beautiful hairstyles IMO. I used to have them and I miss them. Secondly, the easier (and it looks better) way to do this is to twist and run your flat iron down them a few times. It takes like 5 minutes and no product necessary. You can also pull them apart and it gives a beautiful messy hairstyle and TONS of volume. I miss my dreads

Elisa Masillo: You'r amaizing! Love your tutorial <3

Rosa G: Love this look!

Krystelle Wever: OMG.... Loved it!!! gonna do it right now heheh

alliemart121: On the clean version can you do the twists on wet hair and wait over night for them to dry? Please reply! Btw, I love all you videos and you have the most gorgeous hair ever!:)

Kimberly Adler-Morelli: Thank you - this is really helpful, and looks great! I agree with Paty - you do have a lovely accent.

FreaxUnleashed: I'm in love with REAL dreadlocks, but all my family/friends keep telling me not to get them so the least I can do is have "faux dreads". ;3 Or braids... but this hairstyle looks WICKED. :3

Liliath09: Great tutorial, thank you so much! I tried it today... but honestly, it doesnt look half as good on me. Lol.

Yayita Gtz.: Love it ... so pretty saludos desde Mexico =o)

Not Tryin' To Hear You!: This looks great on you! TY 4 sharing.

Lorena: I'm just pissed I didn't know about this hairstyle sooner. I love it~

VamptasticVamp: WOW, I love it!

ShortStack29: Thank you for doing this video!! I've always wanted dread, but I didn't want the commitment!!

B W: This is so pretty and cool-looking! I only have shorter than shoulder short length hair, is this hairstyle possible for me too? Thank you! I have watched your other videos esp. the updos, they are very useful for me, because my face shape is only suitable for updos. Thank you so much!

hkandm4s23: I have been doing this hairstyle for many years for different occasions, but without any product like the poster below mentioned. If you twist tightly and run over the twist with a flat iron it works wonderfully! Lasts a day or two if you add some hairspray . For bigger "dreads", tightly twist 2 inch sections of hair and run over with a flat iron. Then put some hair gel in your hand and "roll" back and forth gently. Finish with hairspray and they will look just like dreads, but smoother.

DebzCM911: Lilith I LOVE YOU for this video! New Subbie here! :) This is great!

TFVids: You always have really pretty makeup! You should do tutorials too :)

Pomchi Productions: Very cool :) thank you :) one question though :) worst would be the cheapest hair sculpted cream I could use?

Groovy - TGT: I could listen to you all day. Beautiful.

Victoria Stuart: i loveeeee this look!!!

Lady Morgana Shire: @sweetnightmare93 I do this often, and I found that if you want it to last long, you just have to spray the strands and then you straightening iron on the strands. It last longer and you hair doesn't look dirty.

Arallist: Haha! You truly suit every style ^_^ Really fun to watch hehe

AYAYA GANG: Once I buy the stylingcream I will definitely do it!

Rinkari: @KittyKaminsky i have extremely curly hair so i'm not sure if it would work differently for straight hair but i personally dont think it really matters. I do literally A LOT of tiny rope twists in my hair and wear them and then when it starts to kinda get undone at the roots i undo them and i have luscious bouncy curls/waves, i recommend that you try it you wont regret it :) let me know how it turns out ;)

Sassysaskberry: You look amazing with dreads!

Imi Bee: Hi again! Would it be possible for you to upload a video or even pictures of the finished look, using the "clean" version?

truth448: You know I love your. You have a lot good hair styles. Thanks for sharing!!

Courtney Cathell: @lilithedarkmoon also, i wanted to ask you if you would recommend coloring hair light blonde at home from a box or if its just not a good idea. My natural hair color is dark brown, but is now highlighted so it looks more of a medium brown. Do you think the box color would lighten it totally or should i go to a professional to dye all of my hair, and then i could do the roots myself?

HelenaNV: I love it!

greengirly13: for the "dirty" version, were you dividing your pieces of hair into two twisties and twisting those counter clockwise? Or did you just twist them one way.

Karoline Day: That was absolutely awesome

Kyluvz: I really love this look! I want to do this, does anyone know how long you could keep it in? My hair is really thick and takes forever to get oily or anything, I'm thinking maybe if I apply the wax every now and then and some hairspray...I should just consider getting dreads maybe, but I'm afraid of the permanency and I prefer this neat look to the lumpy/dirty look of most dreadlocks.

sternih: so cool! and you're so pretty (: thanks for the great videos

Carolina Borges: You are The best!! Love all your tutorials!!

Erica Anderson: I cannot get over your accent! it is so wonderfully different!...just found your videos and just subscribed; I love the detail you put into explaining everything, it helps a lot!

J.Claire: love it!

Sabrina K Hiew: i love your tutorial lilith! thank you~ XD

Nicola Charlotte Estrella: i love your hair..it's healthy and beautiful :3

luvmyhair2: I luv it!!!!! I wish you would have shown a back view.

wolfylu: @KittyKaminsky that really depends on how thick your hair is, and how big you want the waves. do more for smaller waves, and fewer for bigger ones. i usually do four french rope braids, two in front and two in back, but i have fine hair, so i don't need as many :] just experiment and let me know how it comes out!

Ayesha Gaylor: love!! and it suits you!! :o

LaDonna Marie: love this!

Tami81: Thank you for the great videos you brig to us^_^ very usefull

Sally: i love it <3
