In this formal elegant Holiday hair tutorial 2012 I'll show you how to create a versatile updo suitable for work and office as well as for special occasions. It will look great for Christmas and New Years eve. There can be many variations of this look and it works great on most medium and long hair types - thin / thick straight / wavy / curly hair.
This classy hairdo is perfect for a reception party, for prom, homecoming, graduation party, ball, wedding guests and all kind of stylish special occasions and evening events. Decorated with fancy hairband, this hairdo will also look great as a beautiful bridal or bridesmaid updo.

Hello and welcome to another hair tutorial today, we'll show you how to create a beautiful model braid that can be used in both casual and formal hairstyles. I take some hair from the top of my head and divide it into parts. Now I'm going to use the two strands to tie a regular knot. I actually bring the right strands under and then around the back strap. Now I will to section some hair from the left and add it to the strength on the left-hand side. I smooth it out with my fingers, then I section some hair from the other side of my head and add it to the right strand again. I use my fingers to even it out at this point. I want to create the next note. This is a regular knot. I only make sure to always bring the right strand under the left fan to preserve the same grade and pattern. Of course, if you find it's more convenient, you can choose to place your right strand over the left strand. Just keep on noting your hair in the same manner, so I firstly add some hair from the sides of my head so two strands and then tie them into a knot. But this hair knots are very smooth and quite easy to get undone. So I have to hold my strengths rather tight, but there is no more hair left to add. I form the last note and then secure my grades with an elastic. If your hair is very long, you could either leave it in a ponytail. A curly ponytail will look just awesome or you could put it into a braided bun, like I've shown in one of my previous Leela's, I'm going to finish off this look with a tiny bar based on a rope braid. This is a perfect solution for my short and thin hair, but it will work just great, also on longer and thicker hair. So after I split my hair in two, I twist to the hair into two strands in the clockwise direction. While I twist the strands around each other in the counterclockwise direction, I've shown this technique in detail in one of my previous videos with hair extensions. After I twist this tiny rope braid around the elastic shaping it into a small bun by secure it in place with bobby pins. Now this braided updo is finished.
