How To Do Tight Braids By Sweethearts Hair

I found this tutorial difficult as I usually stand very close to the head when I braid...but had to stand back so everyone could see!! I felt the braids didn't look as tight I usually do but oh well

thanks for watching guys and I'll see you next week for feed in braids xxxx

Hi everyone, its Beth from sweet, tops, hair you'll, have to excuse my appearance today, guys and its patented say, because I've done a work in all morning and then we have a video booted and haven't had time to do makeup. But I thought you guys you don't care you're, not bothered so anyway, I'm here today with Bailey's, best friends, safe now, so Scott very, very thin, cute fluffy hair. So I thought should be the perfect model to show you how to do those really tight braids on thin hair and then next week. What I'm going to do is show you how to do the feed-in breeds with a colored hair. So let's get started okay, guys. So I'm gon na be doing the two braids coming down like that to Dutch braids, okay and we're going to do a center part. So Sophie's actually already got the center part in, but I'll just show you at the back. What I'll do so, I'm just going to place my finger in the center of Sophie's neck there and then get my comb and just really slowly from the top guide that comb down to my finger and you've. Basically, just given yourself a little guide where to hit to because your fingers there in the center. Okay, then guys so, as I said before, so, you've got quite fine hair and it's also a little bit flyaway. So I'm gon na use why I always use, which is the dry wax spray, I'm just gon na kind of Miss the little bit over Sophie's hair, okay guys so, like I said before next week, I'm going to be doing the feed-in braids, so we're gon na Be learning how to breathe this week in a slightly different way than I normally do it? Okay, so you're gon na take a really small section of hair. It can be smaller than that if you wanted it to be, and you're gon na divide it into three. Like that, okay, so I want to take this strand here, there's outside strands and I'm going to put it in between this finger and this finger like that. Now this these two fingers here, my thumb and the forefinger - are gon na scoop underneath that middle section. So we've just done one stitch, believe it or not. Now I'm going to pick up this section here again in between these two fingers like there, so it picks up like that, and now I'm going to get this pincer here and it's going to go underneath to grab hold of that one, and now we've just done Two stitches we're going to do one more before we add in hair, so it's this middle section here pick it up in between these two fingers hold it tight and you're gon na get your pincer again. It'S gon na go underneath this middle section and grab hold there. So we've just done our three stitches, okay and we're ready to add in hair. It'S gon na be from this side. So it's gon na be a little tiny bit and it's gon na go in this pincer here. It'S gon na get added into this one. So little tiny bit of hair burr with add it into that pincer grabbing hold of that middle one again in between these two fingers, then your pincers going to come underneath so grab that one now we're going to add hair on this side. So again, we're gon na wiggle, the hair. Add it into the pincer like that. Come back to the middle section. It goes in between those two fingers. Two fingers and a thumb goes underneath. Try to keep that nice tension to the braid add in a bit of hair into that finger and thumb pincer coming back to our middle section, the one that's here, picking it off pincer underneath grabbing hold, so I'm gon na go with going guys. So it's taking a small section of hair, adding it into that pincer grabbing hold of the middle section if they can get an ass on to your little pincer now. So that's nice and tight there underneath and grab in holes now you're gon na add into here grab that middle one again little pincer thumb and finger comes underneath grabbing holes, feeding that hair and again grabbing that middle section underneath grabbing holes, you're just gon na keep Doing that guys and then once again saw around the head, will change the angle for you and hopefully you'll be able to see even clearer what I'm doing so. You might be able to see now guys from this angle, so I'm taking a slice of hair feeding. It into there - and then we come to this section here this one on top okay and you're gon na put it in between these two fingers here. So it goes in between those two fingers. Then you get your little pincer back and your little pincer works its way underneath to grab the far right. Show you on this side guys, so it feeds into that pincer in between these two fingers. I'M going to place that one so in it goes. I kind of clamp that down and then my pincers and our thumb and our pointer finger is going to slide underneath this one to grab the far once and it goes okay guys, I'm not going to show you the whole thing on this side. But I do just want to maybe start it off again, just in case you didn't quite get it on the right side, so little strands of hair, breaking it into three picking it up through these two fingers pincer goes underneath to back the far one now come To the middle grabbing, hold pincer goes underneath to grab the far one, always three stitches guys before you add in hair, go again pincer comes underneath and now I'm ready to add in on that side into the pin set little slice of hair into that pincer coming To the middle, I want my fingers to really be on that braid, okay, so the right time, the braid there pincer comes underneath to grab that one, and now I'm ready to add in to this side, so guys nearly done this one as well. I didn't really want to pull too much on little safe because she's, not my child, but if you wanted to go even tighter, what you need to do is this move here, where you're scooping up that hairs got to be right on the head: okay, okay, guys! That'S how it too little breeds finish little spin for you move so hold on tight, safe, okay, okay, guys so me, and so far I've done don't forget to join us next week, because I'm going to be showing you how to bear with feed in this purple. Hair, so if he's gon na have purple hair, you excited yes, see you next week, guys bye,

Trista Jeanveau: I do Dutch braids on myself very often and people ask me to do it on them or their kids and I can’t do it... I finally understood how on someone else!! Thanks so much for the video. Much appreciated

I luv my bulldogs: Sophie you did a great job sitting can’t wait to see your purple feed ins She’s so adorable

Andrea Ramirez: Absolutely great tutorial. Thank you so much for showing it slowly over and over again while explaining. I think the people that are saying it looks complicated or that they can never do it. I felt the same way but you actually have to just start practicing. You can watch all the videos you want but without actually practicing you won't ever get it. This video is one of the best I've seen at showing how it's done.

Marcella Reid: Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been Dutch braiding (corn rowing) my daughters hair for several years and I had to figure out a different way to do it because I couldn't figure out the strand placement under the hands. I am going to practice this! My daughter is going to be thrilled because this is definitely going to save us a lot of time.

Willemijn van Calker: My mom always treated my like a horse when she was braiding my hair.

Sugarby 2000: Many thanks for sharing this technique along with your explanations for grabbing the tiny sections of hair. You did a mighty fine step-by-step tutorial on how to add the hair to the "pincers" and then moving it into the braid, which is often difficult gor me to process. I will have to watch your lesson several more times as I am an absolute beginner. Thank you!!

Karina Pique: Thank you so much for sharing because the way you show us how to do it you really does helps. I couldn't Dutch braid before and you showed me how to do it in a real simple way of learning. Thank you but my daughter has really long hair and she tends to move a lot and I'm disabled with MS and her hair sometimes doesn't come out the way I want ‍♀️ but I know I still need more practice braiding ...

Cherry Onovo: OMG this video finally made me understand how to professionally do it after months and months I wish I could've seen this video earlier. Thx so much

Art Family Story: I love the video and see that you gave A LOT of great girl hairstyle videos, which I want to try with my little one... But I just wish the angle of the camera was a bit different... It's really hard to get it this way (and I am slow at this)... Also - five stars to your girls for being so patient!

Lea Schroeder: Simple inside out French braid, more commonly known as a Dutch braid.

Shanny DC: I found this quite complicated. The little girl is beautiful.

G. E.C.: Hello from Spain! I finally understood how to place my fingers and did my daughter’s hair ok ! Of course, I still have to improve...thanks for the very clear explication !!!

Kay Bee: Missed this video last week. Don’t know how? Anyway, very helpful. Thank you. . Plus, Soph is a little stunner and you look beautiful with or without make up!

C. Misztur: i want to thank you for this detailed instructional. its all about that finger placemnt when doing feed in braids and no joke, ive been really struggling with it! i think i even commented once for you to do this tutorial, youve officially blown my socks off! cant wait for the continuation with the fake hair. i just mastered box braids, which im stoked about.

sexual taco: This reminds me of my mom braiding my hair lol She always made sure they were tight enough to last through everything from a school day to a wrestling match

Galactic Uni: Yeah if I tried this on my sister she would be screaming her lungs out...

Laurie H.: This is beautiful. But......she makes it more complicated than it needs to be. There are other tutorials out there that makes the process easier with results that are just as perfect and beautiful.

cosmiccocoon: Omg thank you so much! I watched so many dutch braid videos but none help me make one on my girls head! And it was a success! Thank you!

Protector K9: Thanks for detaild step by step video, my daughter has similar hair type. Cant wait try this on her today.

Maddie Tillem: Thanks so much for showing the fingering for this braid! I usually do them differently, and they never turn out as tight!

Krystal Ezeoke: Omg thank so much this was so helpful

Pauline Monk: 100% that was THE best instruction of how to braid.

Kendra McCord: And I thought french braiding was diffcult. This one seems to have like 6 steps to it. I'm a fast learner and this braid is beautiful, however I don't know if I'll ever learn how to do this. Took me forever to learn French braid.

Monica Duncan: They look so good! Sophie is just as cute as can be!

hayley loves god: That’s so stunning amazing so clever

Sofía y Anette Duncan: Hermosas todas las trenzas que hace y los peinados

Katy vlogs: I like everyone else's hair tutorial but she's good at explaining

Amy Belton: Love your tutorials thank you. I have tried the same dry wax spray on my nearly 3 year old daughters hair but I find its not great on her type of hair can you suggest an alternative please.

Nina Burton: This is the first and only braid I know how to do. Doing “in” braids are difficult for me

Hannah's Simple Thoughts: Beautifully done as usual. Do you happen to have any hair style ideas for little girls with short curly hair? My daughter just donated 10 inches and now I'm at a loss for what to do with her short curls. It's quite a blunt cut right above her shoulders.

Кот •_•: Спасибо! Хороший урок

Terry F: I would love for you to teach us how to do our own hair.

humairaaa x: Thank you so much! I did it on my mum and ot came out wonderful! I have a question. When I do my mums hair, theres always a little lump of hair that becomes loose when there is no more hair to add on. I tried to do it really tightly but it was still there. Do you have any pointers?

a a: She made this a lot more complicated then it needed to be. I already know how to do Dutch braids and I couldn’t even follow along with what she was saying

Michelle Harding: I am going to try this as soon as I'm done writing this comment. I understood what she was doing and the detail. What amazed me is that I have 3 daughters and 3 granddaughters and all of them would literally try to take off when they saw me collecting the equipment to do their hair..... And I can remember doing my oldest daughter's hair in an amazing updo for her senor prom- she told me everyóne said she had the best hairstyle and I don't know if she said that to make me feel good or if it really was the best.-I like to think the latter. I felt that I truly oudid myself ..... Now 15 years later I'm going to have to ask!!!-Lol

Gacha Rainbow: Thanks this really helped

Da Chez Fam: Great tutorial!

Alissa cate: Amazing I love it

Preslava Minkova: Sophie is soo sweet and the braids look amazing. I have to try this technique on a friend's child, she has the same fine hair and it is a nightmare to braid, but the girl loves braids. Thanks again

Mia Martinez: Best video by far!! No one ever shows the detail like this! I always got so confused how they are grabbing the strands

Becca: I watch this alot when doing my own hair because I always have my hairs in braids cause it sticks out in every odd way lol and for some reason I can do it better in my own hair then in someone else's hair Lmao

shpookii: Who wants to come braid my hair? Now that you've learned.

Jasmin Gab: Let me simplize this 1. Small front section of hair and divide into 3 2. Instead of over the middle like a normal braid you go under the middle 3. Add hair on each side each time you braid

cheristina: Her hair is very easy to braid. My hair is all frizzy and springy, so picking up new strands of hair is almost impossible. They're so tangled, even though I've brushed it thoroughly beforehand. The original strands will tangle too, so that I end up with tangles all over my head. Extremely frustrating. Does anyone have some advice? I've tried braiding my hair when wet, but the strands on the side of my head will be extremely heavy to pick up and the hair will get all bumpy on that side. It's so annoying.

Claudia Rubies: How do you keep them both even? I know how to braid but one always seem to be more up or down than the other one

Marilene Severina: Linda. Queria a tradução para saber o diálogo

bex130788: I have been able to do these type of braids for years and years and my one daughters hair always looks lovely my eldest who has major major thick hair always has a saggy bottom what can I do? Xx

Esmeralda Balderas: Omg this helps a whole lot I'm a new mom still I'm not really good with hair but this is going to help me alot with my 3 year old

Gisbertsgroupie: Thank you for that brilliant turorial! I love the way you say “uuunderneath“

Rach: Such a sweet beautiful little girl. The braids are adorable

Erin Stricklin: Beth, you have such a way with kids! The finished look is adorable!

Kobzky: Came to youtube to learn some braiding for my daughter. Found this video. 1st stage is to cut the hair into two parts, watch the next sequence....andddddd after i seperate her hair unto two sides, i just tied it then and there. Haha!

Lilly Tighe: Finally! After years and 1000s of videos ive found one i can follow to dutch braid!

Linda Mattson: This looks great! Is this still called Dutch braiding when you are adding hair to the middle strand instead of the outside strands? I am going to be practicing!
