Hey guys, this is all about my hair, and I want to let you know that over on Yap, I'm not only sharing health and fitness tips, I'm also sharing hair products that I'm enjoying and loving ya plum is the free app that allows you to talk all About the brand's, you love I've already teamed up with them and giving away about a thousand dollars worth of gifts and prizes, so make your way on over a lot of quality. Follow me on my Instagram Facebook. Twitter knew that I did a cut off my hair. It wasn't as planned as I thought it would be, with audrina of the route boutique in Houston, Texas. I did part ways with several inches of hair and she made me feel very comfortable. She took her time with my hair and addressed any damaged areas that were in my hair, so I was very happy with the service things I like we're like well. Why would you do that? I haven't done hair tutorials in a long time like real hair tutorials that I have been doing in previous years. I was stressed the we believe that a lot of people are only on YouTube. I'M a tenure track, professor in a doctoral program. I'M the director of the school psychology assessment center on my campus supervise students for future life in sugar at psychologists and like the specialist of school psychology. I'M also earning my last licensure as a psychologist, presenting writing for publication and doing many other things in my daily life and traveling for speaking engagements doing much else. I really stopped taking care of my hair and that a big reason why y'all have not seen me do videos and updates on my hair, because the health of my hair has been like what I was experiencing when I get really stressed it comes out in my Hair, it comes out in my skin, so I give you no acne. I give all kinds of other ugly things that happen and I really wasn't taking my vitamins. You all know that I had always been into prenatal vitamins and things like that really wasn't doing any of that, because my main concern was not my hair. I always had hair since I was a kid even through the time that I had a relaxer, my hair. Never had problems growing, so this was a new thing for me. As a result of stress I was experiencing stress spots, I had at least two areas in my hair where hair had broken off to about this short one that I knew it was damaged and not just like new world. That'S because it was blunt areas like where the hair was bluntly short in my one area and I've been able to grow those pieces back. I was like you know: I'm really not gon na pull my hair, I'm not doing a whole lot with my hair, and that was because I wanted to stay away from a lot of manipulation. I feel like that. I eliminated most of that damage and my hair has repaired itself, I'm starting to implement more healthy hair practices and watch the things that I do with my hair. This was a part of my journey that was like wow. Like this happens, I had to be real with the health of my hair and that came from taking my hair down and looking through it and knowing that there was damage my hair was just dry. I was at moisturizing it as I should. I wasn't sealing in moisture as I should, and I know all of these things. I know how to take care of him. I know how to grow here. This was hard and it was interesting, but I know that there's a lot of people they can relate and they have gone through it. It took me a long time to even put this video up because I cut my hair back in February, but I had to get situated with the length of it with how it looks. I'Ve never really done like, say hey twist out or anything like that on camera, that's not money that hasn't been my style, so I had to learn even experiment with that at different areas of my hair and how I liked it and and how I didn't like It in you know I had to take my own time. I had to be in a place where I was comfortable with it, and now my and I like the way my hair looks I like that it looks more healthy. It'S shinier, I'm taking better care of it. I am moisturizing it regularly watching for any stress or strain. Within my hair, I wash my hair at least once weekly to get out any salts and things from exercising and also excess buildup from any product that I put in my hair I'll, be updating my regimen soon, so that you can know more about that regimen. I am also making sure that I'm sealing in the moisture that I've put into my hair I'm trying to make sure that my hair is more protective styles. And I also and trying new styles like these, that forcing me to detangle my hair, and I should instead of just keeping it in some style forever, because I will do that. I'M also gon na make it a point that at least every six months I go into a professional that looks at the health of my hair clips the ends and does all those other things for me that sometimes it's okay to seek that help even being labeled. A natural hair guru or that being a part of my title, I realize that you don't always be perfect at this thing, everybody is not gon na have the perfect journey. I don't care who you are and for me it's been a learning lesson with the shedding with the breakage, with all of it that I've experienced in being able to overcome this. So if you're going through your own natural hair crisis or if you've had to do something similar, let me know below - I am very open to discussing this and, like I said, I'm gon na be putting up more videos of tutorials with this shorter dua and I Roll it out, and I'm also going to be asking you all opinions on certain things and how to take care of your hair. This is something that I feel like a lot of people go through and they don't really talk about it. I see a lot of it like oh message boards and things like that, and people write in to me about it, but believe me, everybody experiences their ups and downs they're here, and so I'm gon na be telling you all some of the things I'm doing that Are coming up some of the products I'll be using and some of the upcoming videos, some of the hair products and things that I'll be working with that. I think you'll find rewarding as well and I'll be trying new hairstyles, because that's important during this time and also with me getting to know my hair, I'm gon na be trying things that I'm sure might not look good to everybody, but hopefully I'll get it down. And get it together, and I hope you all can relate to this, and if you can tell me your story thanks for watching guys, beautiful baby now feeling the electricity can't slam chemistry something's coming all the me

Femme Fitale Fit Club TV: I love the cut - looks gorgeous on you!  Honestly - been growing out my natural hair for over 7 years and had to get it trimmed up due to damage on the length.  I can dig it.  Great video.

Msblackbeauty10: I like it! I have been through this about 4 times in my almost 6 years of being natural. I always seem to bounce back but going through it is not fun! My professional life is what seems to occupy my time as well and has played a major part in all of my setbacks!! It looks great! Good luck with the rest of your journey!! #HoustonNatural

Rose Pitts: Congratulations sista on all of your success! It's always great to see other women of color doing great things. I hope there's many more blessings for you! Your hair is very beautiful! I love your videos!

Jonnie Enriquez: I want to say THANK YOU! For the realness of this video. I got married in June of last year and needless to say after my bridal shower, wedding hair trial and wedding I came out of wedded bliss with 8" of heat damage primarily on one side of my head. I felt like somebody should have rang the alarm and warned me and there was nobody. I became discouraged looking at all my fave YouTubers with these perfect journeys and hip length hair. Like, was I the only one to 'F' up royally? As of late more women are bringing their crisis as you put it to the table, and saying there is no perfect journey. Thank you for being one of those women; it makes the rest of us feel normal again.

kharyzma4u: Your hair looks so nice girl! I suffered some set backs this year, but my hair is recovering now. No one is perfect. You look so much more mature. Very beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Treasa Southern Gal: I thank you for speaking the truth!. I too have lost myself in the everyday grind neglecting my skin and hair. I would like to hear your suggestions on thinning/ stressed edges. I'm also natural with my hair. I've started back with my biotin, increased water consumption, and my daily multi vitamin. Thank you again for your awesome Vlogs.inspiration indeed

Maverick Coils: Wow, thanks for sharing.  For the last year, I have been busy with life and neglecting my hair as well!  I just took an oath recently to cut and regain my mantra of getting back to healthy hair!  Thank you again for being a spokesperson for all of us and I appreciate you for be candid.

Nikki Guy-Dixon: Hey Girl! I also work for a university and I had a lot of stressed related issues. The acne...yes! Wejght gain!!! So I am attempting to get on track. Thank you for sharing about the stress and how it shows up. I felt like no one got it. Thanks

Alison Clarke: Thanks for sharing. I was at a stressful time in my life and got alopecia as a result. I lost so much hair that I needed treatments from a dermatologist. I took pictures of the entire journey growing it back but was a little afraid to share that with the world. I'll get the courage to share my journey.

Sharifa Renée: Thanks for sharing the hair cut update. I am also dealing with breakage as a result of coloring last July. I have maintained a stricter hair regimen, mostly protective styles, but I steal am dealing with breakage. Seeing other people deal with this same issue gives me more courage to cut off some of the damaged hair until I can fully grow the color out.

Tamara Baxter: Hey girl u read my mind! I'm going in for a cut very soon bc of the same issues. I love the versatility of our hair but like you I've neglected mine so instead of holding on to this dry hair that is damaged I'm gonna do a cut. I'm 3 years in. Love yr cut and thanks for sharing!!

Amber Myriah: My journey has been sooo rough ! 3 big chops later, & I finally get the hang of natural hair lol ! Keep your head high beautiful ! Looking forward to more vids :)

bmw81187: I had breakage and excess shedding too! My reason was different though, I had protein overload. *sighs* Now I'm slowly getting my hair back where it needs to be.  This journey really is full of trial and error. Your hair looks good, and its about the same length as mine now lol

Rae Cordova: Yesssssss to this video! Its great that you are honest about this subject, because some people don't wanna talk about it. I was going through the same thing a few weeks ago, I was stressed with some personal issues, and every time I ran my fingers through my hair, it was coming out. Thank God my hair is growing back...thanks to some TLC, vitamins, water, and a stress free mindset, my hair is looking much better :).

Embrace Natural Beauty: You are sooo beautiful Brown Baby Dol thank you for sharing and opening up this dialog.  You continue to provide a tremendous contribution to the hair community, to our community. I love what you are doing.  May you continue everything you are doing, documenting, recognizing the cause of the problem is the first step toward remedying and you've done that.  Wishing you the best in all you do. Blessings!

sdt38017: Love your hair! It looks great! I just trimmed my hair using the "Deva Cut" method. It took about 3 hours to do this but I am sooo glad I did! The damaged ends are gone, it has more shape, and best of all...detangling is a breeze!

Shacara Custodio: I am truly grateful for your honesty! I appreciate it more than you know. I too am dealing with breakage and recently cut over 6 inches of my hair. There are no videos out there that truly address breakage. I look forward to your follow up on your regimine. THANK YOU

Annaka Marie: Thank you for this video. I am going through a natural hair growth problem myself due to stress among other things. I am looking forward to your upcoming videos about hair maintenance and product recommendations. Thank you for all that you do. <3 you sista

Ayana Sioux: I'm recovering from the same thing. I have stress spots in my hair mostly in the mid back of my head and a large one on the top to my right. I'm just happy to know that I'm not the only one having hair issues such as that. I'm going to try not to stress as much next semester and not neglect my hair the way I did in the previous school semester.

Quill L: looking forward to the videos.. girl with all that u do, I am surprised u got hair.  I am happy u are finding a happy median and handling all that u do well.  now watch that hair grow just like your professional career has..

Dr. vs Mrs.: Why did you have to "have it together" before you would get in front of the camera? Why not share the struggle with naturals who may be able to relate and learn from your journey? A "guru" is one who is knowledgeable and shares experiences when it may not necessarily benefit their ego but benefits others, right? I think its okay to demonstrate imperfection sometimes...

Shadae Jenkins: Going through the process of repairing my damage now. I installed a protective style that did more bad than good. It broke off and thinned my hair out horribly, so I cut the area's with the damage. I should say trimmed. I also took to applying castor oil and taking a 5000 mcg pill of Biotin daily. So far some of the thickness has returned. And I am not rushing the length, the health of my hair is what's most important. It shocked me so much to realize that my hair broke off that bad, so bad I was barely able to twist it for a style, so I had to wear it out for 2 or 3 weeks. I have now taken to doing my protective styles w/o any extra hair. If you have any tips or suggestions, I'm open to them.

Stephanie Gibson: Great job being vulnerable. I had to cut my hair in like December for the same reason and have resolved to visit a professional quarterly to help me keep up with my ends.

RaSheedah Shorter-McCants: You betta tell'em your life does not revolve around youtube!! YAAASSS!!! I loved hearing your accomplishments in life!! I am sooo happy you said you would check in with your hair care professional every 6 month. I think that is VERY important... Just to make sure your hair is doing what it should be doing... All of this was very well put! Thanks hun!!

mellowbeauty1: i can very much relate...i did my second big chop about 6 months ago after 4 years of being natural bc i had SO much damage that it was embarassing lol...cut it off to a partial fade and now its so much healthier

babydoll112488: I look forward to your natural hair videos! I'm a school psychology grad student and it's hard to find the time to properly take care of my hair as well. I usually just throw on a wig and walk out the door, lol.

LivingWithTina: I can relate.  I have been natural for 5 years and recently cut my hair in March because like you say "it's wasn't a top priority" so I didn't take care of it like I used to and received some damage in areas.  I am getting used to my cut though and love the health of it now.

Sasha Alexia: Thank you for keeping it real and sharing!

ChocolateDimples321: Your hair looks great, and your skin looks amazing, it's so even toned and smooth.

Erica Janel: I had a similar problem and had to big chop again and I went back to my original regimen and I am seeing my hair come back to life! BTW your hair is  beautiful! love it

Keidra Edwards: We all know how hard it is to admit we did something that contributed to a mistake...Your hair and skin both look extremely healthy. When we know better we do better!

yocampout: great video. I always think the gurus have it easy just because y'all make it look so easy. I was even beginning to think that I would never get this right. I really needed to hear this. Thank u

elovesp1: I went through the same several times for 5 yrs. Last week I got my hair blow dried & flat ironed. I had 3 inches of split ends cut. However, the results was nice. My length look the same as yours. Hey, hair grows back. As for u, BBBD, ur hair looks amazing. Luv ur makeup. Blessings! :-)

TLH: Thanks for this video. Feels good to know I am not alone. I had to seek a professional as well. My hair would get dry after to days of wash and would not hold shine after a day of wash. Oils would not work. I went back to my natural hair beautician and she said my hair need vitamins. It was lacking vitamin. So she has been treating my hair. She applies this vitamin concoction mixed with oils on my hair that she has made and is thinking about selling. My hair now is so shiny and back to normal. No breakage or hair loss. Good luck with your future experience. :)

Crystal Warrington: I can relate!...every 5 years or so it seems as though I have to take my hair DOWN!...LOL...I adore my hair healthy....we do need to pay more attn. to our hair!...your hair looks GREAT!...

SkinLikeHoney Presents: The Freedom Project: I just had about 4 inches cut about month ago for the same reason and I can relate. I am playing with the length it is now and working on restoring the overall health of my hair. I just started my M.B.A. program and with the added stress of school, working full-time, and managing my family it was reflected in my hair. I have just decided that I will have to work with a professional more often to ensure that I am truly meeting the needs of my hair. I also need to get myself back in the habit of taking my vitamins and getting enough sleep.

MsAddie1294: I def can relate to your story--I'm just about to finish my first year of medical school and for most of the school year I have neglected my hair, not on purpose of course, but as a result of stress and struggling to meet the workload and demands of med school. 1/2 way thru the year I realized that my hair had thinned significantly and I had 2 spots where my hair had completely broken off. I have been natural for 5 years and had healthy almost bra strap length hair--this past month I cut it to above shoulder length to get rid of a lot of the damage (I cannot stand thin ends!). I have improved with being more consistent in taking care of my hair as I have regained a bit more balance in my life towards the end of this year. Hopefully, I can get my hair back on track this spring/summer, especially before the start of my second year. Thank you so much for sharing your story. It is nice to know I am not alone!

beverly john: Thanks for sharing. I'm a Global Health Consultant. I was working on project. The first of its kind in the island of Barbados. It took a few months. About two weeks after the project was launched, I remember detangling my hair and lumps of it started to come out. I didn't realise that the stress, and the very two weeks just before the opening ceremony of the project of not eating and sleeping properly what effect it would have on my hair. I almost cried. I felt as thought I was postpartum hair loss and I finally knew what that felt like. I buckled up and trusted God that He knew he cause I was working for. And trusted that my hair was going to grow back stronger and healthier. I gave it the trim it much needed and today it was the best thing that happened its growing back lovelier and stronger. Praise God!. Btw this event happened over the Summer. If you want to check the project out you can go to Children Community Health Club and you'll see what it was all about and from where I stand today, I did give birth to a baby -that project coming to fruition, and the shedding was worth it. Sorry for the long message. I pray it helps someone. God Bless

Sass aka Shwa Lewi: You just made me feel better about my hair situation.  I thought I was the only one going through it.

Mrs. Daniels-Edwards: Thank you for sharing this video. I am still learning my hair and is struggling with natural hair crisis. There is some damage and it feels only I see it. My hair inspires others but is frustrating me. I'm searching for a professional in NYC to asses my tresses but it's not easy. I think I may have to cut it, and I'm not looking forward to the start over... Please provide some hair tips and thanks for sharing...

Miss Make It Happen: I experienced the same thing about two years ago with blunt short spots popping up in my head...I was like wtf? anyway I recovered by taking better care of my hair. And to be quite honest...oils have not worked for me. They would leave my hair oily, dry and brittle. (I have 4b/4c type) My hair likes conditioners and good old hair grease! My hair was always at its healthiest when I was young and my mom used grease on my hair so I just went back to basics and I am loving it.

Shea Jones: Like you told me here in Houston about a little over a year ago, it's only hair.  I took your advice and finally did a second big chop in January.  Your hair looks great! Healthy hair is beautiful hair!

Pum2018: Hey Lady! Your hair looks nice and thank you for sharing.

Cravenn5: I love it!! It looks stunning!!

Shawnta Watson: Your hair looks very healthy :) and I love that lip color you are wearing. It looks really good on you. What color and brand is that?

PositifBeautee528: wow, I definitely understand what you are going through. I had to do a mini chop 2012. I grew my hair to APL, became over confident and was putting all kinds of junk in my hair. suffered a major set back and had to start all over again. I cut that thin skimpy pony tail to my ear. lol I started taking better care of my hair incorporating the GHE, Multi-vitamins, Avocado Prepoo Mix and half wig. My hair is growing like crazy now, much thicker and I am back to a full blown APL. My hair is shiny, doesn't shed much at all and my ends are the business. I will be sticking to my regimen. I have one more year to go on my three year journey and will stay with it all the way this time. Thanks for sharing I love your videos.

curls under construction: I really appreciate your being open and vulnerable with us about ur journey and I look forward to your upcoming videos.

NaturalKBeauty: I had to do the big chop due to severe breakage because of STRESS!!!! I'm glad to see that I'm not alone. I started taking biotin along with a prenatal vitamin. My hair thinned out severely in the front. As a result of deep conditioning and protein treatments, moisturizing and sealing my hair is growing back and flourishing.

Brandy Scroggins: Cute I love it! Yes we all do :-)

curlykiki: hair can't always be the focus. glad to see you are handling all of your business. you look beautiful- tfs.

MyNaturalMyChoice: As women, we take on so much! Taking care of family, children, work, school and so on. We take care of everyone else and forget about our own self. Glad you made a change with your hair. You look good! Thanks for sharing.

SexiPlayGirl1983: That's how I ended up going natural stress wrecked havoc on my relaxed hair. I just said eff it and let it all fall out and went natural. I love my natural hair and it's much healthier even when dry. I want to start experimenting with natural hair styles now.

Taylor, Faye: Please know that you are NOT ALONE! I experienced this about 2 years ago when I called myself "finding a style" that would last a week at a time. Well, I started doing pony tails. I would "gel" my hair down and I know better. let that dry over night and add on a curly fro pony tail piece. The one with the combs in them.. I did this same style for "three months" straight.ha Then one day while washing my hair I noticed the damage. My hair had fell out and was about 1/4 inches right where I was putting that damn pony tail!  I was so mad at myself... I wanted to cut ALL my hair off again. THANK GOD my daughter who is also natural talked me down. I'm so glad she was there because I know I would have done something to regret. lastly, that area did recover but I still got some ways to go before it get back to were I want it. But at least I know I'm heading in the right direction.:) Thanks for the transparency brwnbabydoll...

marquita83: yea thats understandable you have a lot going on, sometimes you just dont have time for your hair when more important things are priorities i love the cut looking fwd to your vids!! :) thankz for sharing!

YT4Me57: You still have quite a good length of hair to work with and it looks absolutely gorgeous. Looking forward to your hair tutorials again.

Baruch1girl: This new look is fresh and lovely! You still look like a beautiful brown baby doll to me. Your hair will be down your back in no time. I think there may be some deeper spiritual growth as well. Glad your back sweet girl!

Jar Full of Glam: Your story sounds identical to mine. My hair struggled this past winter. It was unusually cold in Houston, I was super stressed, and I slacked on my hair care, exercise, nutrition, and supplements. My hair was shedding and breaking like crazy. I was a few inches from waist length (straightened) and now I'm at mid-back length due to the set back. I just took my hair out of a sew-in and it seems to be doing better. Thank you for being open and honest on your channel. Your haircut is gorgeous!! #axeemjacks

Miss Elisa K.: I am currently going through the same thing. I feel you

Diane Plunkett: Since becoming pregnant and having my son, I have been seriously lacking with taking care of my hair. Thanks for the video

ladyiola: I love you girl. Been following you for yearrrrrrrrs. Just stopping by to give you love. :)

Stephanie Edwards: You still look wonderful. I'm recently getting over a bout of prolonged depression. I rarely went outside and I I didn't touch my hair for a WHOLE YEAR. Yep, always kept it up in a scarf. My hair was so matted, but it also grew out like crazy. I guess from not touching it? It took me five days to cut out all the matting, deep condition and restyle my new hair. I ended up with the same amount of hair as I had before. I imagine to this day that my hair would have been twice as long by now if I took care of it and myself. But that's the point in it all, it's a journey it never ends, we just got to be ready to bounce back. Take care.

KateyeKD: I also had to cut my hair about 3-4 inches bc of breakage especially in the crown of my hair. I have been taking vitamins on the regular, moisturizing and sealing more, drink more water, eating my vegetables and add a hair vitamin and low maintenance style . I have seen results in more thickness of my hair and hair growth has been better . Stress can be so damaging to the hair....

TheQueenLioness100: I  love the hair cut . your curls are popping it fit you beautiful brown face. Love It!!!!!!

Sherrita Lowe: I have to do the same thing! I have very tight curls and have not been taking time with my hair so I'm going to do a chop (3-4 inches) ver soon to help the health of my hair and to get myself back on track. :)

Lovingthejourney: I'm in the same boat working FT and finishing my dissertation plus wife and 3 kids. My stress leads to bad eating since I don't pre-plan my meals. My hair YES....I just keep mine braided and do wigs, braids, etc. your hair looks great. Thanks for sharing.

S A: You gohead girl!!! It will grow back

Shortcake39553: your hair looks beautiful and healthy. keep up the good work.

luvjnz: Thank you for sharing and being honest.

Spykes86: Great video!!! Your hair look great and that lip color is super cute. What brand of lipstick is that? Also, have you considered doing videos on higher education and being a grad student? Like a FYI or motivational video for future graduate students. Love your videos!!! Super inspiring!!!

miniimufin: I was wondering if you could maybe share on your school experience...I'm in my last year of university, I'm about to write the GRE's and will soon be applying for a clinical psychology masters program with the hopes of becoming a clinical neuropsychologists. You really inspire me with your academic ventures. I know this isn't about hair lol...but I'd really appreciate your input on making it as a psychologists :)

Golden Papaya: BBB- yes i have experienced hair breakage remove but that was during the time I was reading my hair. Funny thing is it would break off in the back. I finally cut my hair off and put it in weaves for about a year. I got my length back and haven't worn weave since. Your cut looks pretty!

Theresa Lott: You still have a ton of beautiful hair! Thanks for sharing.

2sweetpea1922: Can you do a idea on natural hair styles for the gym? I love to workout and typically wear wash n go styles and would like assistance in this area.

dovedarby: Beautiful cut and style!

dee doc: The hair is beautiful and you still have some length. I wish you sucess on your future hair journey.

Nani Bratty Angel: Thank U for being REAL! It was appreciated.

83keysha: Just catching up on videos and I'm loving this lipstick and feel like I need it in my life. Do you remember what you're wearing here?

Gerri Dominique: You still look good, girl!!!

BabaReal: Still cute! I like the new look.

YanieLovesYou: I have two spots behind both of my ears that are like an inch long. I had a veryyy stressful semester. Being a mentor, joining a sorority, being an RA, and hard junior yr classes just broke my hair ALL off lol. I bought some gnc hair vitamins and put in box braids. Hopefully I helps, if anyone else has some tips they'd like to share, it'd be greatly appreciated

JANE Goodman: I also experienced the same thing,, I just recently had to cut half my hair off. with me ive gotten lazy with sealing in the moisture at night. just pretty much at what you discuss. But  since the past 4 mo. my hair gotten a lot more healthier. no more breakage etc. I'ts all about having healthy hair. people I was wrong for cutting it. But I believe in having healthier hair versus long hair.

jlauren19: I got serious heat damage after straightening my hair for my birthday. I wanted to just cut all my hair off but I got nervous. I'm just so upset because I feel like I have to start over.I don't know where to go from here.

Jennifer Franklin: I love it!!! :-) I'm thinking about cutting my hair to give it a better shape.

spicychica: Omg u are doing ur thing! U r such an inspiration!

Ms. Tee: Awww thanks for sharing & being so transparent!  You are a role model for so many & your jewerely is dope do share lol???

lisa thomas: U look gorgeous thanks for sharing your journey:)

Rubi Readus: When I came to college for my freshman year I was so stressed out ad I did not have time to worry about my hair everyday. So I would throw on a beanie with nothing under it to protect my hair. I was not moisturizing regularly and I was not washing often enough. Of course I suffered some damage in the crown of my head and everyday is a constant struggle to revive my hair. People if you have changes in your life, don't take it out on your hair. Find the time to take care of yourself aside from other things. Its very important.

jesspraise35: I am a little upset. About a little over 2weeks ago I tried to dye my hair a light blond.  I didn't have enough to do my complete head, so I have some parts that is dyed. That's ok because I do like that part.  The thing is that when I washed my hair it is straight in some parts.  Jesus!! I wished I had done some research.  I feel like I have permed some parts of my hair with the dye I used.  I would be 4yrs natural this Sept.  I don't want to cut my hair but if I have to I will.  I need some helpful advice on what I should do:(

CAM: I love ❤your haircut!!!

Care Free Travelz: You're so inspirational!

PynkPanther314: I experienced something similar after losing both my grandmother and grandfather within a 3 month period... One day I just looked up and I had 2 short spots in the back. so a major cut was in order.

ladybugcdl: I experience that same kind of breakage about 10 years ago and had no idea what was happening to my hair. Now that I look back I had just gone back to school and was trying to figure out what I wanted to study as a major. Now I am dealing with being anemic (low iron) that have cause some hair issues. I am currently taking iron pills and working on getting my levels up. I will also see a dermatologist on Thursday because I notice if I use some products sometimes my scalp burn and itch (seem like I might have an allergy). Thank you for sharing your story and your hair is beautiful!

happy2benappy1: Girl you still look good, and you still have a lot of hair. You are a professional woman and like most pro women appearance is on the back burner. We live and we learn. God bless and stay encouraged.

ZenLifeTV: Remember to make a video on how to look for a personal trainer...we met at the hair show:)

Yongo10: I'm going through something very similar. There are legit sparse spots in the top of my crown. And I have new growth coming in. Like those little balls of hair when your hair is still touching the scalp.  It's pretty bad. Disheartening. But, it's in a location I can hid and cover. I'm taking steps to bring it back and revive it. ALL kinds of steps. It's coming along. Slowly but surely

Naeema311: I think salt from sweat really dried my hair out this winter since it was SOOO cold and I was exercising. Bad combo and really leads to breakage. I also realized that I wasn't moisturizing down to the root. I would go down the strand with water/moisture then stop. I noticed a lot more breakage than normal but am doing like you and just trying to be move vigilant. It's a learning process and a journey!

Aariyan096: As soon as you began listing off your credentials, you’ve inspired me so much! Do you mentor young women?

Ebonee Debrah: Your hair is gorgeous and that lipstick color is so pretty on you.

Sharonda Wilson: i think its looks beautiful on you!

Bigapp99: Great video and the music at the end was ON POINT!
