Hey, what's going on super excited for this video, because today we are focusing on two factors that determine how long your hair can actually be. We talk about hair growth, all the time and stop stimulation and all the wonderful things, but what determines if your hair is going to be armpit, lips or bra, strap or waistline? You know what determines that and how can we make that work in our favor so that we can potentially get the growth that we want, or i should say, the lymphs that we want so stay tuned? Okay, so when it comes to elongating the length of our hair, that is such a tiny twister. But basically, let's start with the basics. You want to have a regimen that works, a regimen that you can be consistent with, because that's really going to be the core of getting the lift that you desire or elongating your length. Okay. So that's number one now for the meat of this video. We are gon na be focusing on the anagen phase now currently right now, your hair on your scalp is going through different types of cycles. As we speak, your hair is either in the anagen cycle, the catagen cycle or the telogen cycle. The anagen is the active growth phase, where your hair is literally growing from your scalp. The catagen phase is where the hair follicle has just detached itself from the blood vessels, so it's no longer receiving any type of nutrient. That'S considered the resting phase, then the telogen phase is the shedding phase, but for this video, what we really are trying to do is increase our anagen phase. Like i said, the anagen phase is the active growth phase, the anagen phase, or, i should say the lymph of the anagen phase - determines how long your hair will be on average, the engine phase between three to five years. That'S just on average. This number varies based off of each individual, and actually research has shown that those who are from asian descent - they have a longer antigen phase of seven years, so they can grow their hair super super long, because your energy phase is crazy long. But in our case, how can we increase our energy phase, because if we can increase the anagen cycle of our hair, that means we can achieve longer lengths. So with that being said, of course, some great actives, as you probably know, i'm going to say, are essential oils. You know there have been some that have been proven to help to elongate um the anagen phase, such as peppermint oil, rosemary and, i believe, eucalyptus as well, and it's so funny because my next video will be talking about some other ingredients. Other things that you can do that's going to help to elongate the animal face. So if you are not subscribed, you know these are not on you and i want to make sure they are on because it's going to be super super good. So don't miss that video but um. Those are some things you want to look at now. The next factor that can determine the length of your hair is your maintenance. Your daily maintenance of your hair is going to determine if you can actually grow your hair. That long, your regimen right now should be set up in such a way that it is helping you to retain as much length as possible. So the number one thing i will say that will hinder the elongated lymph that you may want is breakage and you can get breakage, as you guys know, from dryness from a lack of protein damaged, hair, higher fatigue. These are things you want to be very mindful of when it comes to creating your regimen, so that you are able to avoid these potential downfalls, because you can have an antigen phase of five years. But if you're constantly, you know manipulating your hair, your hair is just breaking off you're, not gon na, be able to see all that wonderful length of five years because your hair is breaking off as soon as it's growing out. You know so you want to make sure that you stay on top of your regimen and just change around what isn't working for me. Personally, i pre-poo, i shampoo, i condition i put my leave on on my bot on by leaving in and then i moisturize my hair at least really every two days i moisturize my hair. That'S like the core of my regimen. You have stylers like gels and pomades, but the core of your regimen is going to be those key key products because that's going to help with the maintenance of your hair. Now what you do when it comes to styling? That'S a whole nother story, because you can definitely, you know, enter manipulation into your hair and your regimen by braiding too tight using too much heat. You know combing your hair too often. All of that definitely plays a role, of course, but you'll be very mindful of just what you do on a daily basis, because that can definitely affect not the anagen phase, but just how long your hair grows, and you want to get as much limp as you Can or i should say as much lymph as your anagen phase offers you, you know, okay. So with all that being said, these are my top five tips in regards to lymph retention. Okay, number one moisturize your hair, multiple times a week; okay, it is okay, it's rare to find a moisturizer that you use on monday that last you until saturday, if you find one girl, let me know: okay, let me know but moisturize your hair multiple times a Week, like i said, i moisturize my hair at least once every two days, because that's what i need to do. Okay, number two, i will say, only use protein treatments. If you really need it, you know and if you feel like your hair, absolutely needs it. You had a chemical treatment, you know you see some damage going on. You know your hair is kind of mushy when it's wet only use protein when you need it number three do not comb your hair when you are mad, tired or in a rush. Okay, because you don't need to be rushing through that stuff to get through it just take your time. Tlc turn the loving hair on your hair. Okay, take your time from your hair to avoid breakage number four be consistent with your regimen. If something's not working, just change, it out, look for a new conditioner, a new shampoo, a new hair oil, whatever it is, but just stay consistent with your regimen and make necessary changes as needed. Number five, which happens to be my favorite tip of all focus on quality over quantity. You weren't expecting that were you quality is always better than quantity. I promise you, when you focus on the health of your hair, the quality of your hair. Ladies and guys who watch my videos uh the length will come, the length will come but focus on quality over quantity. All right, all right, guys, hope you have enjoyed this video and learned something new be sure to subscribe. If you notifications are on because my next video i'm going deep into the hair growth actives and the hair growth aids, but i'm looking at some really peculiar ones that people have been talking about so i'll be breaking that down. Looking at the science of that and sharing with some things that you can probably be doing to increase your anagen phase, all right so stay tuned for that, and i have a question for you, of course, which happens to be what are some things that has helped You retain your lymph, maybe you started off at ireland, but now you are a shoulder length or now you're at armpit or wherever you are. What has helped you the most share below and i look forward to joining the conversation with you be sure, to check out the curly throw sky 2 hair carrying grease again, not done so already. I have a link below for you to check out and if you're starting a haircare line with me one on one and i have a link below for you as well all right guys. I love you guys so much i'll talk to you guys soon. Bye,

Babs 19: What has helped me to grow and retain length: Wash my hair every 7-10 days Protective styles Moisturizing every 2 days This is my 4th year being natural and I am almost waist length.

Cheryl: Keeping my hair in twists and tucking the ends so that they don’t rub against my clothes has really boosted my length retention.

Colette Nsatu: It would be good to see a client as a case study where you showcase their hair progress over 2 years under your guidance. A picture collage or footage showing the changes.

YummyCandi Collection: I clarify weekly. Some may not agree but because I start each wash day with an oil based pre-poo and end every wash day with the LCO method and then I use oils 3x a week, I need to clarify weekly. Also, using steam with my deep conditioner has also help me retain length. Great video!!! I'm already doing everything that you suggested

Ladee Neenah: Keeping my hair and scalp clean, conditioned and moisturized and then not messing with it too much has gotten my hair to waist lenght within 5 years. I've also been drinking a lot of water, excersising regularly and focusing on good nutrition and all these things together have contributed to healthy hair, clearer skin and a functional body.

ZeeCurlGirl: I accidentally grew my hair to waist length while living abroad cuz I had access to so few natural products! I would just spray my hair with conditioner diluted in water every morning, brush down my fly-always, and twist it into a bun. Low manipulation for the win!

Carlotta Shanelle: What has helped me retain length... A clean scalp, supplements, sealing my ends, tying my hair at night, ayurvedic masks, rice water, trials and errors, and Curly Chemistry and Curly Proverbs' hair oil advice!

Yvette Rae: Along with a consistent ayurvedic regimen, plaiting (braiding) my hair after moisturising and then wrapping the ends in cling film (saran wrap) before placing in a bun and/or headscarf has really helped me to retain more length - the cling film is a game changer as it stops my ends from moving and intertwining with each other, resulting in a huge reduction in single-strand knots! I took the idea from how some people do their chebe challenge :)

Jasmine972: The tip that works wonders for my hair: constantly wearing my satin bonnet AND durag all the time at home to protect my flat twist so they last and stay juicy all week. Wear that satin bonnet/scarf/durag 24/7 and you'll see.

HrhSophia TheFirst: As a relaxed girl I incorporate a lot of your natural hair advice. I relax twice a year, I use only a hooded dryer twice a month and my hair stays up in a wrap most of the time. I have had over six inches in length that I was able to retain in the last year. Not gonna lie having nowhere to go really helped keep the manipulation down but with RONNA in the streets I started paying attention to my hair again and I am so much better for it.

Calientebabe: Hey Sis, All the things that I am learning from you have really helped my length retention :). I have a consistent hair regiment, and I devote Sundays as my "hair spa day" whereas I take my time and focus on hair heath. You are amazing and such a blessing.

Kadaay: What helped me grow my hair is literally leaving it alone and keeping it tucked away! I typically wear wigs year round and keep my hair cornrowed for 3-4 months at a time. Because of that my hair is mid back length. I’m hoping to reach waist length in the next year or 2

C Foster: I think being a product junkie has been my number one problem when it comes to length retention. Swapping products out all the time cannot be a good thing. Many of them are not good for my hair. Been a junkie for YEARS. I'm finally starting to reel it in. Using grease helps a lot because I don't feel like I need to pile a ton of products on my head. I'm hoping to stay consistent with just 4 products (shampoo, conditioner, leave in, grease) so I can get some good retention this year.

some young adult: Thank you so much for educating us. With all the fads and trends out there, you are one of the few channels I actually listen to when it comes to my hair because it’s scientific and you get straight to the point.

Here for It: 1. Gentleness 2. Low manipulation 2. Oiling edges, nape, and ends 4-7 times per week 3. Silk/satin scarves and pillowcases at night 4. Finger detangling 5. Cleansing and detangling in sections 6. Keeping ends tucked away/protective styling (in my case, without added hair) 7. Loose stress-free styles 8. minimal heat 9. trimming/cutting when needed 10. avoiding chemicals, including color

Rosy Natural: Maintaining a regimen has really helped me retain length. I pre poo with Amla oil, treat my scalp with apple cider vinegar, shampoo and deep condition, moisturize and style (protective/low manipulation). Washday is every two weeks at most. I re moisturize almost every day, sometimes every other day. Since I started using to this regimen consistently for over 8 months, I’ve seen length!!!

Journey With Joy: Protective styles without added hair has helped retain length with my fine hair

Flourish: I'm ok with the shoulder length hair I've always had. I'm with you, quality! Actually using the right oils, moisturizing regularly, and pre- pooing, has stopped the breakage significantly and I am seeing rapid repair by having a hair routine. All thanks to you!

olivier lopes: I was in a hair plateau for almost 3 years!! Wearing my hair braided (mini braids/plats) with no added hair was definetly the key for my hair growth. And also, i wet my hair everyday in the shower (with the braids/plats) and then seal the moisture with shea butter. Also, i massage my scalp every night or 2 nights with my oil mixture, also deep condition my hair every week while in braids. I take my braids down every month and redo it again. When i wwar my hair out its usually stretched in a blow out state so it wont tangle and be bouncie

Sonshine and Song: I so appreciate you ❤! What helped me the most was following the moon phases. I only cut or trim my hair on the waxing phase, never the waning phase. I began doing this at age 42. Until then my hair never grew past my bra strap. Since then it grows to my butt! I'm 59 now and finally learning how to take care of my hair properly so I'm expecting it to grow even longer now!

NaturallyTD -: My length retention is getting better. One thing that really helped me, believe it or not, is trims. I don't trim on a schedule, but getting rid of those splits was huge for me. I've been natural for about 3 1/2 years. My hair is bra strap length. I started with a serious big chop... Very close to my scalp. I was doing my own janky trims but when I got it professionally trimmed, it took off.

Asha Linton-Lee: Maintaining a consistent hair regimen by not missing a wash day, pre pooing with Ayurvedic herbs and powders, and dusting my ends as needed has helped me get the length that I have now! I big chopped three years ago and my hair is the longest it’s ever been!!

Van Cade: God has blessed you with such a beautiful & authentic spirit! Love your informational & knowledgeable vlogs! Keep it up

Kat P: Your hair looks marvelous! Been following you since your relaxed days, and you have mastered both so well!‍♀️❤

mia alexander: Retaining my length definitely Finger Detangling! It takes more time but I gain more hair and I seal my ends with my natural butter blend! Thanks honey!

dollyrevenge98: I'm glad you mentioned length retention. A lot of ladies desperately search for ways to stimulate growth from the scalp when most of the time the problem is breakage. Protective styling/low manipulation has helped with length retention although I was never concerned with having long hair, I'm relaxed and I like pixies, bobs, color and different hairstyles which do not allow for the best length retention. My new goal is long hair though just to see how long I can get it but I just don't know if I can go 3 years without a haircut loool

Tae P.: Henna. Henna. Henna. I started using henna and my DIY hair oil back in January of this year and so far I am able to retain length. Also, using Camille Rose naturals Honey moisture leave-in and sealing that in with a pomade/grease has kept my hair moisturized for a full week.

juuuu: Great video as always girl I have question .. when you say you moisturize your hair every 2 days, do you do the whole loc method or just applying a daily moisturizer? If you just apply a moisturizer which one do you use and what's your technique? Lots of love from Mozambique❤

Blackberryrose: What has helped me retain my length is keeping a routine of washing my hair every 10 to 14 days (acv rinse) about 1a month prepoo. Shampoo, deep conditioning, moisturizing, leave-in conditioner, oil my scalp and two strand twist my hair underneath my headband wig. I moisturize my hair every other day and oil my scalp and gently massage my scalp.

Andrea Harvey: I really love your content. You're always so informative

A LT: My hair grew nicely after I started taking Viviscal supplements. Also only washing once a week and keeping it oiled/moisturized (I like the Holiroots Ayurvedic hair oil). Keep it in a bonnet at night. I thought protein was a bad thing but recently started doing protein treatments as a test and my hair is loving them, it’s breaking noticeably less.

Cynthia Carter: You've helped so much I can't believe how much my hair is growing that's the first thing people notice is the length. I use the Garnier products which works very well with my fine hair also castor oil with peppermint coconut oil and rosemary. My hair used to be frizzy but I moisturize lightly everynight and then twist I love not having dry frizzy hair. Thank you for this channel blessings

SistaTip: For some reason , protective hairstyles have helped me retain my length. My hair flourishes the more I leave it alone.

Portia: Staying away from heat and wearing my hair stretched (mini twists) have helped AND GREASE. Undefeated hair regimin

Lynn Grimes: What has helped me to grow and retain my hair is washing it every week. Keeping in a protective style and using my natural mixture of hair oils every other day. For the past year of doing this my hair is stronger. I wear a wig but I take good care my hair. I also listen to you about haircare. Thank you for your help.

S Maxwell: Thank you for this video .. luv it! What has helped me is to stay with a consistent regimen which includes deep conditioning every week

Robert,Jr. Moss: Luv how informative you are when it comes to hair care. Keep sharing your knowledge.... Thank you sis!!!!!!

ShawnIsHere: if the anogen phase is typically 3-5 years, how do we know when it starts to begin the timing? When does it reset, because everyone's hair doesnt just fall out when the shit stops growing?

Tara Lion: For me personally, coconut oil and having well moisturized hair were the game changers. I’m not 100% sure why coconut oil reduced my breakage so much, but it did. It’s also important to leave your hair alone. My hair is in long-term protective styles most of the year. When it’s not, I try not to change my hairstyle more than twice a week and opt for buns, crown braids and the occasional wet/dry set curls. Unless I’m experimenting with my hair during which I’ll go crazy lol. There’s a reason I only do that for 1 week at a time out of like 6+ weeks. And I never use heat. Haven’t touched a blow dryer or flat iron since 2019. It’s hard but possible. Just be patient and learn as you go along.

Dionne das me: Low low low manipulation and ayurvedic in my conditioner and end with lots of moisturizing the ends. Thanks Tanya, never has one of your words fallen to the ground.

Here for It: @4:40: you said, “Moisturize your hair multiple times a week.” Please define “moisturize”. This is an ongoing point of contention within the Afro-textured-hair community. To some, hair can only be “moisturized” with water. H20. As only water provides moisture. For others, it’s conditioner, cream, or some other “moisturizing” product. And still others “moisturize” with oils and butters. I, personally only use water (in conjunction with other products and oils) during detangling or cleansing sessions. But I “moisturize” (or, more technically, lubricate) my hair multiple times a week with oils and butters. So, please clarify what “moisturizing” is. Thank you.

girlofanimation: I was at bra strap length for a long time. During quarantine, I kept my hair in twists or a bun and massaged my scalp a few times a week. I washed my hair about every 2 weeks, and added jojoba oil followed by shea butter to coat my strands before re-twisting. I also have satin sheets, since I'm inconsistent with my headscarf. My hair is now a few cm above my butt when stretched. I'm kinda at a plateau now, though. I hope it still has some potential left

Tanetta Caleb: Your the real deal because I think I just learned this in the pandemic—just have a routine that involves moisturizing your hair. Styling is separate. Love and embrace what God gave you and length will come. Pulling and tugging ain’t where it’s at!

SimplyNaturalCai: I looove your videos! Keeping my styling simple and not manipulating my hair a lot has helped me with retention. I also focus on moisturizing and essential oils.

Deborah Smith: Thank you for doing these videos. They are so helpful. I have 2 questions. How do you know if you're in anaphase? And at what age does anaphase stop?

Sherri Bryant: Thanks for another very informative video. It’s amazing you give us so much info so quickly. I’m so glad that you have been talking to us about coconut oil even in previous videos about not being a moisturizer, my hair broke off so bad because people are we’re telling me to use it as a moisturizer I’m so glad learned about prepoo from you thank you so much Your tips about prepping, deep conditioning and leave in greatly helped me start to retain length When you moisturize your hair every couple of days are you completely wetting your hair first with warm water to raise the cuticles before you put on the liquid moisturizer and sealing with oil or do you just spray on moisturizer and seal with oil since you’re going to shampoo weekly?

L'Nya Williamsmoore: Keep hair protected especially during warner months when hair grows faster. Not worrying about hair. (Isaiah 65:17;Rev 21:4)

Prisca Reid: Thank you. I just started being consistent with my regimen again and also changing my shampoo and conditioner. I also add raw shea butter to my regimen and I'm seeing better moisture retention.

Lexi Lomax: 1. Moisturize your hair multiple times a week. 2. Use protein treatments as needed. 3. Do not comb your hair when you are mad, tired or in a rush. 4. Be consistent with your regiment and make necessary changes as needed. 5. Focus on the health of your hair. Quality over quantity...the length will come.

Angela Hampton: Wow!! Ms. Curly Chemistry, you have really done a very good job at explaining things hair topics to me and the ones I have questions about. Thanks so much!!!

superdooper: Which essential oils with terpenes would you say are most effective for blood flow, is a mix or just one oil best? I would love to see a video about it! I have thin wavy/straight hair which I’m trying my best to care for and just found your channel. All the info and hair growing videos by well meaning people out there is overwhelming and can spread misinformation. I appreciate the actual scientific information and explanations so much

TheBklynite278: Good intro to retention. Looking forward to more. Ayerverdic treatments to address my issues. Things that reduce shedding due to my anemia and recovery from sepsis. My hair would grow and I retained length but its just regained its density and health. Think oils, clays, onion that people hate and low manipulation styles.

Vich Gold: To minimize the haircare has been very helpful to me. Shampoo, deep conditioner, cream and amla oil. Wash 1-2 times a week. Less cream is the key!

Ashkenia Sims: Love your videos ! I did the big chop 13 Mths ago. You are 100% correct on having a regimen/routine is definitely an essential part for healthy hair growth! I prepoo/shampoo/condition (to help detangle) deep condition wkly & refresh/moisturized my hair at least 1x a wk.

da le: I feel she is the only one one the internet that has really broke it down on how to grow hair. Great video sis love the content!

allieville1: Had two bald spots from medication. Went to Walmart and got Tea Tree Oil, Olive Oil, (the small tubes for 99c) got a water based conditioner and would combine those and massage the areas like three times a week. Hair grew back like magic. I really don't know how long it took, but one day it was bald and before I know it, I had hair. I also stopped perming my hair. So at the time I started this my perm was growing out and now I have natural hair but I get a silk press once in a while cause my hair is thick.

Claressa Lucas: My thin, fine, high porosity 4c hair needs daily moisturizing. I just make it part of my styling routine...always spritz with water and 1/8 tablespoon of leave in conditioner has brought me from TWA to shoulder length in 5 months. This is 50 yo grey hair too!

sweetdream44: I use oil mixture and grease. It usually helps to reduce breakage and helps with detangling my hair. Sticking to the same brands tend to help.

UniquelyJames: @6:39 • Finger-detangling more and using combs less • Spraying my scalp with Aloe Vera Juice + Peppermint Essential Oil Blend • Deep conditioning at least 2x-3x a month Great video. Thanks for creating and sharing.

Vivian Carter-Cain: Awesome videos! I've learned so much about the chemistry of my hair by watching your videos. Thanks for sharing research/chemistry based information hair. There's a lot of information out there about natural hair and it's become confusing and frustrating. And, as Forest Gump said, "a Go Zillionaire business. "

Melissa Bkn: Love your hairstyle great video as always. Short but full of informations, thank you !

Natasha Asendio: This video is right on time!!! Thank you!!! Love your videos!

Shiva G: Okay where have you been all my hair youtube video watching life? You are the bomb. Nonsense and misinformation pervade the internet. But you are the real deal. I big chopped a little over a year ago (down to 1/2 - 1 inch) and have recently begun to think that my hair is starting to take too much time again. You and your hair are totally inspiring and I think I'll continue to grow it out. I use carrot root oil from Anita Grant (love all her products) to which I'm going to add some rosemary essential oil for the terpenes and return to nightly massage with that. Really need a protective style. Thanks and keep it up.

Allison D: Excellent video. Hadn't realised that was the reason Asian hair tends to be longer, but it makes sense. I love getting info based on science instead of just anecdotes. Altho some anecdotes are spot on too.

plutobeey: 1. Eat clean 2. Satin bonnets 3. Keep ends clipped only as needed 4. Mid to high end quality products 5. Paying more attention to me & my family hair changes & addressing issues immediately &/or sticking to what yield results.

Beavera Menzell: What are your thoughts on MSM and henna from a chemist point of view?

squirt price: QUESTIONS? 1. The different stages, do all my hair strands go through each stage at the same time or each strand are at different stages through my life. 2. If my growth stage is 4yrs does that mean after 4 years my hair stops growing period. So I should not be trying to grow longer hair at the age of 60? 3. If the hair growth stages are like cycles then how long is the time frame between the stage when the hair stops growing and when it starts growing again? 4. If it is a growth cycle then does the hair strands get weaker every cycle? How you can answer my BURNING questions

K D: How do you moisturize your hair every two days... do you untwist, moisturize, & retwist every 2 days? Or do you wet it and apply moisturizer over already twisted hair? And how often do you think/ recommend someone with 4b/4c (high porosity) should wash their hair... every week, every other week, monthly?

Armami A.: My hair is literally the same length it was 6 months ago. And my routine is simple. Pre-poo, shampoo, deep conditioner +moisturize with a leave in and oil every 2 weeks. In between my hair is kept in twists or on a rare occasion when I do go out, it's in a low bun. I hardly ever do puffs anymore. I trimmed in November and did a light dusting recently because the single strand knots were becoming too much. I sleep in a satin scarf. I guess the only thing i'm not doing is moisturising enough... I do it like once a week.... I don't lose a lot of hair when I shampoo. I'll try the moisturising every 2 days... but really... I personally don't see where the breakage is... I don't trim more than 2ce a year... Sometimes my pre-poo is a hot oil treatment, sometimes it's aloe vera. What am i missing? @Curly Chemistry?

Caryl Jones: It would be interesting to find out if this applies to developing hair density. Thanks for great content

Sha'Ron Mabson: Thanks for all the education you give us I truly appreciate it. I have a quick question. Can you tell me what a good moisturizer is for high porosity hair that HATES glycerine? I think if I found that it would be a game changer for me. Thanks in advance

Mz. Tyrisha: Pre-pooing has helped me the most and moisturizing and oiling my hair once or twice a week. I also noticed that using distilled water instead of hard city helps alot in my moisturizing. Also when i oil i massage just a little tip.

Amber Noland: Have you tried ROO? Rinse Out Oil Method? Where you put an oil on after washing, then either rinse that out and then put on a conditioner or put a conditioner right on top of the oil? It helps retain moisture much longer. Just a suggestion.

CShemica: I'm rocking a tapered TWA right now ‍♀️ I am letting it grow out though. I'll come back and let you know what worked. I see your beautiful hair did not come to play today!

Positive: Good Tips! Question, how much protein is actually in Aloe Vera Powder versus Juice?

agyatuoh ba: What has helped me retain my length? 1. low manipulation 2. moisturizing 3. coconut oil

Sharron C: I'm a NYS Licensed Cosmetologist & I say to U GREAT JOB DOLL U were very accurate in order & on point with everything u shared GOOD HEALTH & BLESSINGS TO U

vee c: Great detailed video As I am so much moisture is excellent for maintaining moisture, the the past year that's what I use. Its a little sticky, but it's wonderful for the hair especially the ends.

Alexa P. Keaton: You always have the knowledge!! THANK YOU!!

Eve Sambaya: Thank you for sharing this! Can you please talk about washing our hair with hard water and what we can do to avoid the impact?

Afrodeity: If hair strands are in different phases, once you get length from hair that is in the anagen phase, is it possible to then get thickness from strands that are entering the anagen phase next?

Dr O: How do you determine how long your anagen phase is?

Sky Delight: Ahh, like mitosis almost. I've been able to relate hair growth to something that my biomedical brain actually knew, but you've made me realise. It makes sense.

Sycanie Tanisha: Hello Dr. Tonya. I have a question for you. Should I trim my medium afro ends? I big chopped on April 17, 2020, and I feel that my ends need a little trim, but I want to wait a like 4 or 6 months more. What can you counsel me? Thank you in advance ♥️

DinaArmy Mom: I've never had shoulder length hair for various reasons. I am in my late 50's. I have hypothyroidism which makes it more difficult to retain length. I would like you to address those issues if possible and also what are some things I can do at night if you have short hair and I don't want to braid it. I sleep on silk pillowcases and have a silk bonnet. Thanks.

Patricia Koroma: Great teaching video. Thank you very much.

Fanssy WD: Can you make a video about what I would call the trimming paradox please? Some say you should trim about twice a year or the hair will become fragile and break while others believe if you protect the hair enough trimming is not necessary. May you share your knowledge and thoughts about it please?

BlkScuba Queen: Ayurvedic herbs has helped my hair become healthier and stronger. Tea sprays has helped to eliminate as much shedding as I was going through. Also I got a trim from a hair care professional and I see the growth. And after the trim. I don't have breakage like I use too. Afope's channel has helped me care for my high porosity hair.

Latanya China Rhodes: Thx good info. How Exactly should I moisturize through out the week? And how should I use the essential oils

thunderliscous: I am on my haircare journey. Thank you soo much, I will incorporate some of these ideas. I need a protective style for the summer. Can you tell me where you purchased your headband wig from or drop a link?

chery0071: Leaving my hair alone my hair gets shampoo once a month. I do ACV and water mixed in a spray bottle between washes. Olive oil. My hair now bra strap. I had a TWA 4 years ago almost 5 now. I don’t use products because so far they all provoke my dermatitis. So I stay away from trends. My scalp is my main concern.

Nana Agyemfra: Carrots onion and fenugreek has helped me with a bit of rice water and grease

Robin Sharron: Can you do a video on pec complex and copolymers and how they work together to retain length, I use Tresemme' split remedy and girl that stuff has totally saved my hair life, and retained my length.

L.: Could you do a video on the effect of relaxers on the scalp and if it strong enough to have an impact on one's health ?

Carol Harper: Thank you for sharing so helpful. Right now I wash my hair everyday. I see a dermatologist. And I use a topical oil, medicated shampoo and another treatment. I make my own oil and use grease. Blessings ❤️❤️

T J: Yes I am doing my hair right now for wash day. What a better way than to watch videos while deep conditioning

My-Yoshi: What has helped me?Ayurvedic herbs and less manipulation. Using henna, amla, brahmi in oils and masks seem to strengthen my hair and I have way less breakage and falling hair.

lovehope3753: Keeping up with my protein treatments is beneficial for my hair growth.

G. Ward: Can you do a video about Olaplex No 0&3 vs Curlsmith Hair Salve? I would like to understand which ingredients target which bonds and more

Gisele Musasa: Can you please do a tutorial on how you achieved this hairstyle. I'm loving it
