In this dutch crown braid for short to medium length hair tutorial without heat I'll show you how to do a cute updo hairstyle perfect for hot summer days. This trendy updo is done without heat or teasing and it's based on a dutch braid (inside out french braid) that goes all around your head. It works great on all medium long hair types - fine / thin to medium / thick / straight / wavy / curly hair. You can use this techniques to do Scarlett Johansson's hairstyles at The Avengers european premiere.

This stylish beach updo keeps all your hair away from the face and neck and therefore it is perfect for taking sun and having a swim. It's a great everyday casual hairstyle that you can wear for school, college or university on hot summer days. Appropriately accessorized with decorative flowers or a ribbon weaved through the braid, it's also suitable for special occasions such as prom, homecoming, graduation party, ball, reception or wedding.

Hi guys today's video is about a crown braid, which has recently become quite a big hair trend, since it keeps all your hair away from your face and neck. Here'S a perfect hairstyle for the beach. I found it's a little bit easier to create this hairstyle. When my hair is wavy or curly, so I have curled it overnight, using foam, hair rollers and now I'm going to focus on my braids. This is a regular Dutch braid that goes around my head. I'M going to take the hair that lies right above my ear and split it in Swiss strands. Then I bring the rightmost strand under the middle one, the leftmost strand under the middle one. Here I want to even it out so that it goes nice and smooth and when I put the second time, bring the right strand in the middle, I section some hair and add it to my middle strand. Then again I bring the left strand under the middle one, the right strand under the middle one by section some hair and add it to my middle strand. As you can tell, I do not add some hair every time I bring the outermost strands under the middle one. I do it every two steps, so the leftmost strand goes under the middle one. The rightmost strand goes under the middle one section some hair and that so my middle strand, I repeat the steps as long as it's necessary to create my braid don't list it. I want to do at this point is stop for a moment and volumize this braid by pulling thin sections of hair out of it. I want to get this kind of. A messy effect can also push this braid away from my face. Another thing I want to do now is fold my hands, because at this point it starts being not very convenient to be adding the hair from the top of my head. Using my right hand, it means that now I want to be using my left hand to add the hair to the grate. You can see if you will see it better in a moment. So when I bring the top strand of hair in the middle now, I'm using my left hand section some hair and add it to my braids. Once I reach my ear, I spoke by hands one more time I keep on breathing, just like I did before. I'M adding some hair to the middle strand every two steps of gradient once there is no more hair left to add. I keep on creating a regular braids. Now I can place this braid along the inner edge of the first braid and secure it over there using bobby pins. I can still minimize my grades a little bit make it look more messy. Now this hairstyle is complete, so this is what it looks like. I'M also going to show you how it looks like from the back. I thank you very much for watching bye, bye,

But I love braided updo's, especially when I wear a Dirndl (which is the traditional Austrian dress). Although it takes some time till you can make all those hairstyles by yourself it's so nice to get some inspiration. Thank you soooo much for your hard effort!

Niquee1: I really love your tutorials, they always give me great inspiration, the only thing I was sad about when I had my hair cut was that with shorter hair I wouldn't be able to do these nice hairstyles you teach but I was gladly surprised to see that some are so versatile that I can still do, thanks for sharing

Well, I can braid it into a frenchbraid on both sides, but it never worked out to braid it all over to the back or better around... So, do you think the dutchbraid would work? Thank you in advance! :D

Fancylooks: Oh, Wow!

CuteandCreepy123: You make these styles seem so easy to do. Small plastic bands and my hair don't go well together. What else could I use? How many times does it take you to do a hairstyle like this so perfect? Does it take you plenty of tries, or do you get the hang of it right from the start?

MrsBerg87: Awesome as always!!!!

Αγγελικη Ρ.: @roxy2190 thanks a lot roxy :) hope it works out!! i'll try it out! btw your "she-squid" was awesome! xxx

LadySparrow01: I've got hair to my hips. I found that if you just make sure you keep the braid tight it works out pretty well. Hope that helps.

kebinchan: oh wow i've wanted to do my hair like this ever since i was a little girl ;D

SeductivePearl: i think that hairstyle is too difficult for me to do it myself, but it is so lovely ^^ i really like it :) Greetings from Poland :)

Αγγελικη Ρ.: oh!!! thanks a lot... that was so helpful... i cut them 1cm every 2 months and oil them every other night at the ends to prevent the splinter and they are doing great but they are not still the length i want them to be... hope to get it soon.... :) but thanks anyway :)

Nacy Monforte: Love it! Can you please consider pin-up hairstyles! The ones I have seen do not explain very well like you do :D

moshpit0689: Even though your hair is as you say thin, flat, and straight, it must still be thicker than mine. Yours looks so beautiful when you do it. I describe my hair the same way, but it sure doesn't look the same when I try these hairstyles! :( Maybe it's just to silky and clean?

Minji Han: I love this!

A-M: i love when you say 'under the middle one' when you talk about braiding, your accent is so lovely :)

Αγγελικη Ρ.: First of all you are awesome!!! I have a little question for you...I used to have long hair but something bad happened and i had to cut them short like yours. My hair are always thin... i want to have my long hair back but i can't afford buying a pair of hair extensions. do you know if there is something i can do to make them grow faster ? love from greece!! :*

Lidia Dimova: you have an interesting technique adding hair only to the middle strand. I like it. :)

kOrii14: totally in love! you should do the braid of kate mara, i saw it in a picture

watashiwa hajar: The perfect HairStyle For Summer

Shana Harbeson: You can leave your bangs out. Start further back while your bangs are pinned out, so you won't braid them in. :) Hope that helps!

Sandra Markovic: You really have beautiful hair..I can't believe how you can make it alone,on your own hair ! I can perfectly make on hair of other people, but on my..huh...Do you have any tricks how you can make on your hair that perfect braids? :) :**

Somia Sultani: Thank u so much now I know how to do it

Mallory Green: My hair is a little shorter and way thicker so doing a lace dutch is impossible, i did it and so many strands were sticking out. Great though I'm going to try and make some modifications!

danijo: you are SO GOOD it's CRAZY!

maroua chariph: Hi I love your hair but I also love your makeup ! can you do a makeup tutorial? You are very beautiful ! and thanks for the video!

Anja S: Oh my, for me this is super difficult to make from the back side! D: I'll get used to it right?

QueenAliceOfAwesome: Can you do this with long hair? Like half way down my back long hair? Thanks! :-)

anita dom: sei proprio bella e bravissima, non ho altro da dire, complimenti! :-)

Shey Perera - ෂේ පෙරේරා: awesome. thank u so much for the tutorial

TheDarkqueen: loved it

April Gardner: Question: You seem to do the braid in with strands braided under. I always braid my hair going over, but it doesn't seem to work. Do I need to change which strand to add hair to?

jtvu: Awesome!! :) but my arms get so tired :(

Polley P: @gracecdb have you tried spraying your hair with hairspray first? or perhaps use some moose? if you can get it a little sticky, then you could probably get your bags to stick with the rest of your hair. but ive seen the same style done before with the bangs down and it looks super cute!

Leka281: Really like your channel. Super! Wonderful hair. You have golden hands.

RocioOlivarria: awesooomww !!! and you are soo pretty :D

Lee Shiyan: this is is difficult to do. anyway, you looked gorgeous!

Sonia Mari: stupenda! :))

Αγγελικη Ρ.: @lilithedarkmoon thanks a lot.... i ll keep watching your videos and learning your magnificent hair tutorials!! And i hope they grow soon :D xxx

Mara Rose: well, i got the first half of my head perfect, but the other half looks kind of...icky. This is a great tutorial though, your great at explaining!

jenna foster: I know this isn't really your style but would you be interested in doing some messier, bohemian hair styles? They're my favorite!

TheAnnwyn1: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO SOME MAKE-UP TUTORIALS!!! =) xoxo ♥

almostelphaba: I don't have bangs, but I would think that instead of only adding hair every two steps at the beginning, you could add it every time, taking in your bangs small sections at a time. Then once your bangs are added, only go back to every two steps. I don't know if that would work, but you could try it.

Crystal B: So pretty

Karola Martínez: yeahhh, it looks so easy when you dont have a curly hair like mines, cute anyhow

kayhamil23: Could you maybe do a video on the hair products that you use? Shampoo and Conditioner? You have beautiful hair straight or curly!

Lady ATX: PLEASE, is there anyway to do this while leaving some hair down? try it and show us? would love it!

Everclearsan: @lilithedarkmoon sometimes, your eyes have different colours. On some days, it's grey and other times, it's blue, and sometimes a grey purple colour. Do your eyes change colour, or is it the lighting? Or do you wear contacts?
