Hi everyone, James Mansell, your bring you yet another video. Oh my god, you guys it's like my last video of 2019. Oh my gosh. I cannot believe it. It'S been such a long year of me, styling wigs, doing makeup, doing all sorts of crap honestly how you guys been me, but this is the last video 2019, unless of course, I rush out video before the end of the year, in which case this isn't the Last video 2019 we'll see how this goes anyways, let's get started on what we're doing today. Now I they'll be styling a week for my very own collection. That'S right! I'M going to show you guys how to get big big drag queen hair using one single wig and we're gon na. Do this using the Tracy wake from James Mansfield beauty, and this one is in loose waves. I actually wore this wig in my Trixie blush video. She is 26 inches and she is in color 613 that is platinum, blonde or Barbie blonde, and she is fabulously layered so check her out. That is her. Oh so glamorous now I pre-cut them lace already, so I got a pin it down and I'll start teasing out and show you guys now. I saw see you guys in my comments section asked me to style this wig on camera, so you asked so you shall receive. I think, that's how that goes. Alright, now before we start teasing, if you just worn the wig like, I just did what I recommend doing is taking your brush and going through it quick just to get make sure the ends are detangled, because you don't want to have any like snags in there And you start teasing, otherwise it's gon na be a [ __ ] to brush out so just brush through that, especially the ends and get all the little knots out, and then we can start teasing it out. Alright, first things: first, I'm the realest okay! I am going to separate a little bit of hair here and start teasing. We get a little further into the video. My teasing I'll show you a little trick. I'Ve been doing for big hair. That really makes quite a difference, but first things: first, we're gon na start packing that hair down. Now with my teasing, I am packing it down to the ripped, so I'm trying to get as close down to here as possible, we're pushing it downward and motus. I am packing this three to four times over, I'm pushing it downward and we're trying to have it all gather here and meet in this section right here at the bottom right where the roots are, and you don't want it to like, be all densely packed or Dreaded up, you want to be a nice little cloud of hair just resting there, because if it's to condense, it's gon na be a lot harder to brush out, and it's gon na tend to stick to each other and create breaks in the hair. We all have like weird gaps and valleys, where you don't want them, you want to all be nice and smooth bring your brush through it. That helps to make sure those end there too, tangled and packing it down, keeping in mind where the hair is going. All the way in the bottom here I'm slowly letting hair leave my fingers as I do it pick up some more pack. It down now look over it inspect it and see where that hair is gathering. I'M seeing some awkwardness right here like this is empty space. That'S not occupied by teasing. You don't want that. So I'm gon na take that section pick with my fingers and retain it and there we go. We have a nice section started right here. That'S one two sections that combine together to create one big ol lump of hair and we're gon na. Do this all over the front of the wig and the back and try and combine it all together? And I'm just gon na take a moment here to dim my lights out, because I remembered that blond hair kind of catches - a lot of light, so just make sure you guys can see I'm gon na did it's on and see check that out. That is all one wig so far we're getting that much volume you can manipulate to go as high as you want and the more teasing you put into it. The higher its gon na get so just bear in mind. The closer gets to up here - there's not gon na, be a whole lot there to hold it down. So if you bump into something or if it gets packed away, it's gon na smash down. I love the Tracy Lee because it has layers of it and layers are your best friend when it comes to teasing hair like if you want volume layers are the best route to go, and I love wigs that already have layers in them, because you don't have To cut anything into it, and sometimes with my cutting, especially you see on this channel, it can be a little suspect, whereas this one it was expertly cut beforehand. So I don't have to like you know, take my scissors to it and risks. You know sudden death and the ways that I felt on my website right now that are layered are the Tracy and my tinsel wigs. Like the gluttony, the shape-shifter Veruca Queen of the Ring, the ones with tinsel in them, they have layers and them I'm working on getting more layered styles, because I just loved them and they make the most beautiful styled. Wigs, especially when you start to tease them out. All right, I had this whole front section teased out right now. I'M gon na do the rest of this off-camera and I will be right back welcome back all righty, so we have the wig all teased out. This is how big she got from just one full teasing. I tease us off-camera and I did tease it between my legs because that's what happens when I talk camera, you guys, I can't just sit here. Just laugh. I have to take this off really get a good grip on it. Just grab up my thighs, like I'm Wonder, Woman and take it down like an Amazon I had to like upside down. I just take it section by section, because it's honestly just easier for me to do it that way, and since I'm sharing all of my techniques, I'm gon na show you guys a little technique that I picked up while doing here. I wouldn't recommend doing this unless you feel really really advanced in your skills, but I'm gon na show you guys anyway, I'm gon na take this wig and act like I'm, making a rooted hairline where I take grip of it and I tease it down and bring It down some so really French lays it together, and this way just guarantee that that hair stays together. I'M gon na do that all along the hairline. Now what this does it keeps the hair together, so you don't get like those breaks in it. Like you know, I mean we're like after a teasing is done: you're smoothing it out. You see like a big gap of hair there, as opposed to going through there and hair spraying it and blow drying it from million different times. This is a little thing. I'Ve been doing it's actually kind of been working for me. It'S just building up a little extra layer of teasing here to create like a nice, solid wall here along the hairline okay, now it looks like we are making a routine hair line, but we're not. It should look something like that now. What we do is we're gon na bring the hair back again, and you will see it created a nice little wall here and you don't see many gaps happening anymore and to just ensure that stays that way. We take our pick, take a grip of the hair and pull the teasing down to the root, and that will create a nice little. You know load-bearing wall on the hairline to make sure doesn't come apart and also helps make sure the hair stands straight up. Oh, my god, you guys, you can see the makeup stains in my lace from the last video. I probably should clean the lace, but this wig is for me. So it's not gon na matter work on the hairline and I do it real slowly section by section. So we'll start with this part by the ear tab and what I'm doing is I'm just bringing that smoothing brush or a teasing brush over it in one section over and over and over again and when I feel like it's gotten so like the smoothness. I, like. That'S what going with some spree thing spray? Alright, that's feeling pretty good! So far, I'm liking where this is going. Now I wouldn't go in with a soft brush. I actually got this at Target in the men's grooming section, it's a beard brush! It'S got these really! Nice soft bristles on it and I actually learned a technique similar to this. When I took Carl brown wig class cuz a girl, you can never learn too much and you mentioned using a soft bristle brush. So I started like searching around for when they didn't carry the one he had, but in Target they had this in the men's grooming section, so I found it and it's actually been working really well. As far as like smoothing over the hair with a nice soft porous brush, as opposed like the really hard teasing brushes alright - and that is the front section right here with your tab - all smooth and again with big hair - it all works in sections. So it's gon na be like boop-boop-boop-boop. I work from the front and work my way back, because the back is the easiest part. The front is where all the real manpower comes in all right. What we're doing here is just smoothing out this front section and working our way and like upward, and this can be really tedious. But if you want big hair, you gon na have to do this, but you can honestly go through and like go wild with it. But the hair is not gon na be meet. If you want neat big hair, you have to take your time with it. There'S no way around it. It is time consuming. Some wigs will take me up to about two to hours to do. If I'm really trying to get it nice and smooth and like presentable like especially if I'm gon na be on TV or something or be having photo taken, you want to take your time on the hair. You don't want to rush it, because people can see that all right, I'm gon na work the rest of this section here off camera and I'll, be right back and we'll start styling all the time. All right, we are back. I'Ve been working in the front. Now comes the part that is not very fun all right. We are going to go through with a count and we're going to glide over the top of it and try and smooth it all over. This is the part that gets very, very tedious and can take hours to do this bank piece. I'M gon na leave here, because I'm kind of undecided on where I want to go with this hairstyle, but this section is gon na stay where it is. I, like it nice and smooth, and this is really the most important part anyway - it's just learning how to smooth it and when you like, the way, it's going, you just spray it from a distance and go through your hand, all right, I'm gon na, do the Rest of it and I'll be right back all right, so I've been fussing around with it off-camera and I'm thinking my fingers do it and picking at it, and I want to get as big as it possibly can, because, like I kind of led you something a Little bit different so now I'm going through with my pick and I'm gon na try and get this as big as I humanly can with the hair. That'S in this way, so it's going through a combination of my pick and some of my fingers too, and pulling up some of the teasing from the root. Not all the way out, just like the little end bits to try and get that volume, because remember we had built that wall security here to keep the hair up. So this is all standing up on its own. Now we're just playing around with what's left inside of it and trying to shape around it like. I don't have to be too neat, but I don't have to be too messy either. It'S like finding the right balance, all right, let's just brush through her quickly and just playing her out the curls that are in it see. I got this one flipping inward, like that. I want these ones that sort of bit more inward and swoop out like that, and now it's just a matter of going through with my comb, my brushes and just shaping it, and I can do the rest that off-camera and I'll be right back with our final Result all right, she is almost done. I got the front exactly how I want it now, the back parts, where it's work a little bit more, as you can see, there's a bit of nesting here. So just take our comb and we just gently come along it and try to mask some of that. Otherwise you could put like a hat or a bow there. If you ever have nesting right there there's tons of ways you can disguise it or you could just take your comb and just spend hours and minutes, smoothing it ooh, smoothing so soothing, but I'm not gon na spend hours smoothing on camera because girl I am hungry. So I'm gon na do a little bit here for you on camera, like so doo doo doo, just to get the idea of what I do and I'm gon na do the rest off-camera and then this wig is done. Now. I'M gon na try this wig on I'll be right back. This is the final result. Oh my gosh. This was the Tracy and loose waves available at shades Mansfield beauty.com. Now this wig is gorgeous, but it is missing one more thing: the J's mantle magical, wig spray from black phoenix, alchemy lab. Let me give it one more spritz. For the year now, my hair smells just like cream soda perfect for entering the new year available at the necks off me laughs, calm. Now this wig is one of my favorites I've just gotten into my line. It also to use out in the fun gigantic hairstyles like this, using a single wig, and that is always something I strive for with wigs whenever I buy them. If I have to cut layers and stuff or anything like that, I love a wig. I can just tease right up and get a big hairstyle without having to do much work to it and what this baby she had a lot of hair girl like I was getting exhausted. She is density of a hundred and eighty and honey. I was feeling it. I was just sitting there just teasing away at you, guys didn't see it, but I was sweating like a hog with this wig between my legs just going nuts and you, like my lipstick, I'm wearing berry smoothie by Gerard cosmetics, use my coat James J, a. OnTheCheapTip: Hey James! I'd love to see you recreate some famous drag queens' wig styles.. like Bianca, Trinity, Detox, etc.

the Godess: You've really inspired me to try to get into wig styling and maybe even attempting cosmetology. It's so funny how many jobs I've been offered if I went and got my cosmetology license, but I've always been so nervous about potentially messing up someone's hair. I know how important my hair is to me and I would hate to ruin someone's hair, but styling wigs actually sounds and looks really fun. Plus being a trans girl in the backwoods is hard to find work, so that would actually give me an opportunity to work. I just wanna say I love your videos, and thank you for introducing me to a new love of something I've always been nervous about trying. :) I hope you have a great night.

Amber Burningham: I've never owned a wig, or even had an interest in fixing one, but you're absolutely adorable and I could watch your wig videos all day.
