How To Restore A Curly Wig

Oh, that looks so bad, but I'm gon na show y'all this week is going to be so pretty when I'm done. I'M gon na take a big brush, you're gon na start at the bottom, and this hair is a deep curl. Curly hair is a little bit more maintenance. So it's not like straight here straight here. Is the easiest hair to take care of sure the secrets of curly hair is making sure one you comb through it. Why, when you come through it, and then you wet it down, it's gon na redefine all of those. So if you do not comb through it, what's gon na happen is if the hairs are ready tangled and then you wet it, it's not. It'S not gon na. Just tango, it's gon na matter and everything is kind of calm down and I'm gon na flip it this way. Okay and do the same thing make sure everything is calm down. Some of our hosts clarify this is a lot I just I take all of our clarifying shampoo and I put it in here just cuz, it's easy for me to work with, and this is our number one setup now imma tell you when you have a wig And it is absolutely not acting right. This is what you need is caught unlock. It is the best when you're taking down a weave. You need unlocks, because I'm not unlock to the hair that was gon na shed and come out. It keeps the hair from snagging. So this up should keep your hair in your hand, I just say I'm gon na come over here. You'Re gon na take our VIP brush in got to find out what my crown is, because that's gon na be the part that I kind of government or maneuver. This wig I'm gon na start at the bottom. The other important thing is you want all the hair gone in one direction: don't just drop it in the ball and just start swinging hair all over the place. That'S the other key to keeping hair, especially if you're dealing with ribbing here or you're dealing with birds in here the beauty of virgin hair, is that all the cuticles are always going in the same direction. So you want to make sure your goal as a professional and as a stylist is the key all event here. You wan na wind up right here, squeeze out some of the water. Just like that then, and look I got the wigs, the warning one that we a about a half a dollar of shampoo, I kind of rolled it down. This is how you wash your wig as well. You go down. Okay, I'm not doing a lot of scrubbing. All I'm doing now is I'm making sure that every part of the wig get a portion of that shampoo. Okay, I'm not gon na scrub. I'M not gon na rub. I'M gon na take my vent brush and I'm gon na calm down to make sure again all this cuticle hair is going in the same direction. This is how you wash and restyle and refurbish curly wigs, I'm gon na take us from all tooth comb to show you. I can go right through there, which means what there are absolutely no tangles in this the host luxury when you retake a small tooth problem and go through tight, tight curls like this we're dealing with some good hair people. Ok! So now that I've gone through the back gone through the side, I've gone through the front. I'Ve gone through the middle again, you did not see me do what rub this way. A lot of time. You will read Matt up a wig by just you know, scrubbing it you don't scrub a when you rub a wig or you squeeze a week. You start at the top, and you just go down to the bottom and that's all you do and then you just kind of take out the excess shampoo do is again. We started to talk, make sure all the hair is going in one direction. The cleaner, the wig is the less shampoo you should use. So I started with what 50 Cent's nama go down to a dime cuz. You don't need them in the way. You know a wig is cleaned. Is it will begin to suffer just like that, so we're in it's so important the key now, if I want to clean my my roots, put a little bit of the shampoo in the roots. I can rub my rules, but you never rub the head rub the cap do not rub the hay so again, I'm combing it through. Why? Because I'm keeping all the hair going and one diagram making sure the hair is not retaining Reed matting up or anything like that. So now, I'm basically done because the wig is setting up so good. It'S showing me that there is nothing else. There'S no residue on here take excess, shampoo, okay. So now I'm gon na do my final and one reason why you want it cooler and your final rinses is because water will still those cuticles cut. That is how hair looks shiny when your cuticles are still properly. You keep the moisture in here now. What'S gon na happen is even though this sucks, the majority of the suddens out of the hair. You see that there's gon na be some suds and some residue in your neck. So let me tell you how you get rid of that you take some of the unlock, which is a conditioner conditioners, want to neutralize and kind of, not all of that. It'S a great final rinse, okay, shampoo, is out of the net and off of the roots. Now I'm gon na flip it this way for a final rinse and I'm just gon na take some of the online which are they leaving I'm gon na clean my brush just to make sure it's no shampoo in there. But you don't want to take off shampoo and then use a comb or a brush full of shampoo. It'S just gon na put the shampoo back into here. I'M gon na comb, through with my leaving conditioner Lajos leave-in conditioner, called online no more suds. I can't see any suds anywhere at all he's down to see if there's any studs that come up, I'm sorry, alright, so not ready to style the week, I'm gon na rinse off the unlock. Let me tell you, I'm rinsing off the unlock, I'm rinsing off the unlock just a my final rinse, but I want to really absolutely make sure there is no bubbles. No more shampoo! That'S left on this head of time. I'D then roll it like this. I then squeeze it at the bottom. I make a circle and I squeeze it. What this does is it gets the excess water out without you rubbing, then I'll come back and check on it and you're gon na see it it's so beautiful, meaning that it got a lot of the excess water out, but you have enough water in there. Oh, it's moist enough that you can still put enough product in there and then to proceed. The process of styling back I'm gon na take this and you're gon na see how we made that old ugly wig turn into a beautiful fabulous movie. Okay, see you in a minute all right: okay, so we're back so the wig has been sitting now and I'm going to just unwrap it. It'S ready, and now I bet it's wet still and is ready for styling. I'M not gon na. Do a lot of handling of the wig when it comes to messing and disturbing natural curls, okay and you start letting it to define and come out with this natural pattern. Oh, my god is so beautiful, so I try not to handle the curls too much, but since it's still moist and it's still wet, this is the time that you move curls, that's the other thing. Most curly hair looks frizzy because a lot of to style their curly, wigs or the curly hair, while it's dry, if you try to style curly hair, while it's dry is just gon na Fritz up and get bigger and it'll keep going for like a real big Afro, that's cool! That'S what you do if you style here that is curly while it's moist or wet down is gon na have a little bit more define in a little bit more structure of that natural fur. Okay. So the first thing that I'm gon na do is I'm gon na use a little bit of our unlock. I'M gon na start at the bottom, and the nape area is really important to make sure you get that. The reason why you want to make sure you get that because that's where a lot of people sweat where a lot of the tango comes from it's not sometimes it doesn't come from, because the hair is just not good. Sometimes it comes from a lot of the sweat hair. The sweat dries out of the it dragged off the head. So when hair is dry, your tangles up, okay. So now I'm going to start my scrunchie, because I've just started styling. So I got my unlock in there. I'M gon na put a little bit more to be a little generous with my online flip, the width upside down pop it out now. What I'm doing is making sure the wick has volume and it doesn't look real flat. Okay: okay, it's pretty saturated, I'm not gon na pick up the big brush anymore, because if I pick the big brush up, what's gon na happen, is it's gon na start looking a little frizzy? Okay and I don't want that. Look so definitely not gon na come through anymore. The next thing I know what I'm doing is shaking in the curls [ __ ], I'm gon na lay this wig down. I'M gon na grab a little bit of our still serve silk. Serum is a silicone base. Styling product, this is also excellent for your hair. If you have frizzy hair, this helped calm down. The flea is also a thermal protection. So if you want to protect your hair, while your flat iron in it, that still is a wonderful thermal protection and I'm just gon na kind of make sure that this back is saturated. Because, again, this is where a lot of the hair tangles when it comes to curly hair a lot of times what I've noticed is when clients try to style their own. It'S not that you're doing something wrong on. Sometimes what happens is you're not using enough. You just need a little bit more product on me. Okay, so I feel real, confident about the silk sermon that we have on. I think I have enough the crystal laminate isn't zone. Oh my god. This stuff is so fabulous. I promise it protects the hair texture cuticle. It causes it to shine and causes it cuts down on frizzing. So what what it is? It'S really the very same, similar ingredient. This is to this. This is a thicker concentrated crystal lemon. So this is a spray form, and this is a serum for okay, flip the wig over this way pop some of them curls in shake the wig can't get this frizzy, I'm not gon na fool with it too much. Okay! Cuz! If you pull it through the hair for the hair gon na pull with units on the frizz here hurt so just kind of leave it along. You can scrunch it, but don't put your hands through it. Kales gon na just rip them it's just an in-house mousse that we use. The main thing is when you use the moves, you see how generous I'm being part of about ten ten to twelve. You want alcohol-free products, okay, because alcohol. That'S what help the hard drives! It up, I'm just gon na kind of Pat it through feel make sure that the hair is completely saturated. Now what the mousse is gon na do is gon na cut down, don't spray is even more and I'm keeping the hair in the same direction. This is the front of the wig, so while it's wet, I'm not gon na start styling it the way that I want the curls to fall kay and I'm gon na take my hands completely through, like this little bit more moons. Now, what I'm doing is I'm styling the front, but you see when the most hits it it kind of cuts down on that friend, okay, and so that's how you take a lot of the fries out of curly hair. We you got to be generous because when it doesn't have enough all what's gon na happen, it's gon na kind of fluff back up. But when you weigh it down with product and the right product, because you can weigh it down with product. But you got the wrong product on there. It'S they're, not gon na love the host product, I'm gon na. Let this sit and I'm styling it again, like I said, styling it down, so I'm not of that frizz. It'S down also, you could take it roll it around your finger and then, when that dries, it would be a perfect little curl like that girl here and I'm gon na. Let her air try style it through took an end of a rat tail comb and just kind of comb through not really calming through, but separating some of these curls, especially in the root, so that it can have a defined curl and it's okay. This is the best time to take hair while it's wet and kind of put the natural curls in there with your fingers, as you just kind of twist it around with your fingers like that, so I'm gon na let this sit, make sure it's on. Okay, again, you want to do all your moving all your styling, while it's way and again just using the end of the rat tail comb as long as the Moose hit, it is gon na. Have those beautiful curls like that, okay and this portion is over all. I have to do now is I have to let her air dry so when she's air dried, I'm gon na, come back I'll, show you how to style it for the finished. You can see that those curls came back really nice and really pretty. I guess the key to really handling curly hair or making curly hair look good when it's printed up or dried out, it's putting moisture back in the hair. You got to make sure you put the moisture back on your hair and that's why I really like using the crystal laminate by the hose, and you got ta, be really generous with the product, especially with curly hair. Remember when curly hair is weighed down with product, it goes down when curly hair is just has water in it once the water evaporates, the hair begins to swell all of these products begin to really the moves that I put in. It really kind of helps to maintain nice curls without a get equal on your mannequin head and in the morning all you got to do is shake put it on and have an amazing. Thank you so much.
